Life is more exciting, fun, and unpredictable with a pony, as seen in Nickelodeon’s new original animated series It’s Pony! The 20-episode series follows the comedic adventures of Annie and her best friend, who just so happens to be an enthusiastic, unpredictable, and carefree pony.

Pop culture star David Dobrik dives down to Bikini Bottom to host The Stars of SpongeBob Fan Favorites Special, a virtual table read uniting the voices behind the popular characters, premiering Friday, June 5, at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. The Stars of SpongeBob Fan Favorites Special sees voice actors Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton) come together in a virtually produced special to bring to life classic SpongeBob SquarePants scenes.
Dobrik helps bring to life the nautical nonsense of SpongeBob SquarePants by guiding the voice cast to recreate the most memorable moments and lines from the show. Durante tres horas continuas el público televidente pudo hacer su tarde más liviana riendo a carcajadas con las locuras de Bob Esponja y sus amigos, pero eso no fue todo ya que Canal Cinco dio a conocer en su cuenta de Twitter que tendría una sorpresa preparada para todos los fans.
Esta sorpresa se trató de una transmisión en vivo protagonizada por Luis Carreño, actor que le da voz a este popular personaje en Latinoamérica, con la finalidad de responder algunas de las preguntas y dudas que los fanáticos tenían al respecto y platicar de su experiencia con la serie.
Sin duda alguna esta fue una maravillosa forma de celebrar el 21 aniversario de Bob Esponja en nuestro país y por lo que se pudo observar en las rede sociales nos quedó claro el impresionante impacto que esta famosa serie animada ha tenido en nuestro país y toda Latinoamérica.

Luego de dos décadas al aire y de colocarse como una de las series animadas favoritas de los televidentes, Bob Esponja festeja su aniversario número 21 con un maratón imperdible este 21 de mayo a partir de las 14:00 horas del día por el Canal 5.
La serie creada desde cero en 1999 por el fallecido Stephen Hillenburg cumplió 21 años desde su estreno el pasado 1 de mayo, por lo que, con motivo de celebración, se organizó una tarde especial en Fondo de Bikini. Esta debutó con otras caricaturas de Nickelodeon como Rocket Power, Hey Arnold! y Rugrats, sólo por mencionar a algunas.
Tras más de 260 episodios, 12 temporadas y dos películas que llegaron a la pantalla grande en todo el mundo, la caricatura emitió su maratón y en las redes sociales no dejaron de hablar de ello desde su anuncio mediante la cuenta de Twitter del Canal 5.

Cristiano Ronaldo, a superestrela portuguesa, está nomeada para Estrela Desportiva Masculina Favorita dos Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020, o único futebolista e o único indicado não americano numa categoria dominada pelos gigantes do basquetebol, do futebol americano e do skateboarding.
Já sabemos que o Cristiano Ronaldo brilha dentro de campo. E também é certo que faz furor fora dele. Agora vem juntar à sua brilhante carreira mais uma importante distinção vinda de um dos públicos mais exigentes do mundo, os mais novos.

Os vencedores só serão conhecidos durante a cerimónia que será transmitida no dia 25 de março na Nickelodeon Portugal, mas, até ao momento já sabemos quem são os grandes nomeados da noite. O filme Avengers: Endgame lidera a corrida 11 nomeações. Sim, é isso mesmo, são 11 as nomeações para o filme que reúne os super-heróis da Marvel e que foi um êxito de bilheteira em todo o mundo.
Taylor Swift conta com cinco nomeações, seguida de perto pelo filme Frozen 2, pela série Henry Danger e pelo rapper, cantor e compositor norte-americano Lil Nas X, com quatro indicações cada. Por sua vez, o campo das estreias conta com nomes de peso: John Cena, DaBaby, Tiffany Haddish, Tom Holland, Brie Larson, Lizzo e Megan Thee Stallion.
Entre os veteranos, há já uma vitória a reportar, uma vez que o ator Will Smith quebra o recorde e torna-se a celebridade com mais nomeações da história dos Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, com um total de 29.
Também será no dia 25 de março que os fãs portugueses ficarão a conhecer a Internet Star Portuguesa Favorita, a renhida categoria que reúne quatro grandes e jovens talentos nacionais. Beatriz Frazão, a jovem atriz de 15 anos, Bernardo Almeida, um dos mais reconhecidos youtubers de tecnologia do país, Paulo Sousa, o hit boy do momento, estrela da Escola dos Youtubers, e Sara Carreira, a grande revelação do panorama da música em Portugal, estão a votos e quem decide, obviamente, são os mais novos.

Os nomeados para os Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020 já foram anunciados. Cristiano Ronaldo, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift e Lil Nas X são alguns dos distinguidos.
O filme “Vingadores: Endgame” lidera a corrida 11 nomeações. Já Taylor Swift conta com cinco nomeações,.
Na categoria portuguesa, Sara Carreira, Beatriz Frazão, Paulo Sousa e Bernardo Almeida são os indicados para vencer o prémio “Internet Star Portuguesa Favorita”

Kids’ Choice Awards: Nickelodeon divulga data de exibição da gala em Portugal
Cerimónia de premiação será exibida no país a 23 de maio.
A Nickelodeon anunciou ontem (11) que irá exibir em Portugal a gala dos Kids’ Choice Awards no dia 23 de maio, às 11:00. A cerimónia foi transmitida em direto no dia 2 de maio em inglês. A edição deste ano foi apresentada por Victoria Justice, da série Victorious.
A premiação contou com a aparição de vários celebridades internacionais como Robert Downey Jr., Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Ellen DeGeneres, Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Bell, Mark Ruffalo e Jeremy Renner.
Também participaram da gala Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Josh Gad, Camila Cabello, Millie Bobby Brown, BTS, Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X e o elenco da série Stranger Things: Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin e Sadie Sink.
De recorde que a cerimónia de premiação dos Kids’ Choice Awards 2020 deveria ter ocorrido no dia 22 de março, porém no dia 11 do mesmo mês a Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS) decretou pandemia global por covid-19 e, por isto, eventos no mundo inteiro passaram a ser cancelados.

Nigerian music superstars Teni and DJ Cuppy have been nominated for the Favourite African Star and Social Media Star respectively in Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020. The event, which will be hosted by American Rapper Chance The Rapper, will take place at the Forum in Inglewood, California on Sunday, 22 March 2020 at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT), simulcasting live on Nickelodeon in the U.S. and YTV in Canada, as well as stream across Nickelodeon's YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter handles and channels. Within hours of the live show, KCA 2020 will roll-out on Nickelodeon channels internationally, providing kids around the world in more than 170 countries and territories a front row seat to all the stunts, surprises and slime! In Africa, Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020 will broadcast on Nick Toons (DStv Channel 308) on Monday, 23 March 2020 at 17:30 CAT, 24 hours after the event in the USA. The Gouws family wins a trip to LA for the Nickeoldeon Kids' Choice Awards
This week on 947, the 947 Breakfast Club was looking for the ultimate ‘Nickelodeon Superfam’ - a family that eats, sleeps and breathes Nickelodeon. They wanted to send one lucky Joburg family to the 2020 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California!
Each day from Monday to Thursday, two families went up against each other, hoping to make it to the ig finale - which took place on Friday 21 February 2020.

'Aunty Shamilla' nominated in Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award
Durban - INTERNET sensation Preven Reddy has been nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award, in the African Social Star category. Having merged stand-up comedy with his experience in filmmaking, Reddy has garnered thousands of followers on social media.
His most popular alter-ego is his portrayal of his mother as “Aunty Shamilla”.
“I knew that the internet was where entertainment was going and I wanted to find a way to make a career out of it.”
The online antics led to Reddy, of Queensburgh, performing at several sold-out shows in South Africa.
“Aunty Shamilla was never supposed to happen. In the first video I did of her, she did not have a name or a back story. I just had an idea to create a video about what happened between my mom and I earlier that day and, before I knew it, so many people related to that situation. They also liked the way I portrayed my mother.”
After reading the positive comments, he decided to hone down on the character.
“And I eventually turned that character into Aunty Shamilla.”
A day before Valentine’s Day, Reddy received a call from the Nickelodeon team. He was told he was nominated for a Kids Choice Award.
Nickelodeon is an American pay television network, launched in 1977 as the first cable channel for children.
“I still cannot believe it’s real. I got to do some stuff at the Nickelodeon pop-ups at Comic Con last year and it was really fun. But I did not expect this. I cried for a solid 10 minutes.”
He said, while in primary and high school, he used to watch the awards with his grandmother.
Reddy added that, at the start of every year, he made a vision board - where he set goals and visualised where he wanted to be by the end of the year.
“This year, I stuck a logo of Nickelodeon on the vision board. I knew I wanted to work with them or be a part of that fun world. And a month later - here we are.”
Reddy added that African categories were fairly new and that a friend went through previous nominees, as well as winners, only to find there were no Indian South Africans.
His message to his fans: “Thank you to everyone who have supported and been a part of this journey with me. This feels like the beginning and I would love to bring this award home to South Africa.”
The other nominees in the category are: Anne Kansiime, Chanè Grobler and DJ Cuppy.
The nominees in the Favourite African Star category are: Patricia Kihoro, Shekhinah, Sho Madjozi and Teni.

‘Aunty Shamilla’ shines with nomination for Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award
DURBAN comedian Prev Reddy said he was so happy that he cried at being nominated for the prestigious Nickelodeon 2020 Kids’ Choice Awards. Durban - Aunty Shamilla, Durban actor and comedian Prev Reddy’s alter ego, will be shaking things up with some of Africa’s top stars as she vies for a top Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award. Reddy has been nominated in the Favourite Social Star (Africa) category and was taken by surprise when he heard about the nomination.
“I screamed and cried,” he said when he got the news.
The Kids’ Choice Awards is one of the most popular awards on the awards calendar and belongs to international pay television network Nickelodeon.
This year’s awards, to be held on March22, will be its 33rd edition.
For Reddy, being nominated was a huge achievement. He is the only KwaZulu-Natal representative among the SA Nickelodeon nominees.
Also flying the national flag are musicians Shekhinah, Sho Madjozi and vlogger Chané Grobler in the Favourite African Star and Favourite Social Media Star (Africa) categories respectively.
Reddy will be competing with Grobler, Ugandan entertainer Anne Kansiime and Nigerian disc jockey DJCuppy for the Favourite Social Media Star (Africa) category.
“I used to watch the Kids’ Choice Awards with my gran as a child,” Reddy recalled. The 24-year-old said it had been his goal for the year that he would do something that involved Nickelodeon. His family were also in shock and happy about the nomination, Reddy said.
He was thrilled about the nomination because it also meant that his work was being recognised abroad.
Reddy’s videos on social media have been viewed thousands of times. He said the nomination validated his work, but this did not mean he would be resting on his laurels: “I can push and take it to the next level.”
Winners this year will be partly determined by the number of votes they receive. Reddy urged people to go to the Nickelodeon website (https://kca.nickelodeonafrica.com/vote/) and vote for him.

His alter ego, Aunty Shamila, constantly leaves social media in stitches. Throw in sold-out shows in Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban, and Prev is quickly becoming a household name.
Prev has been nominated alongside other favourite African stars Patricia Kihoro, Shekhinah, Sho Madjozi, and Teni.
Grateful for all the support he's received from friends and family across the country, he took to social media to announce his nomination:

Kenyan entertainer Patricia Kihoro has been nominated for this year’s 2020 Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards.
Ms Kihoro is nominated for ‘Favorite African Star’ category. The annual American children’s awards ceremony show that is produced by Nickelodeon.
Usually held on a Saturday night in late March or early April, the show honours the year’s biggest television, movie, and music acts as voted by viewers worldwide of Nickelodeon networks.
Ms Kohoro took to social media and requested her fans to vote for her.
She wrote: “I really didn’t see this coming. Thank you to everyone who’s been asking how to vote, sharing and being so encouraging. I honestly didn’t think it was real. It was announced just under a month ago but I don’t know, kinda trippy seeing my name in the same sentence as all those folks. Ha. A whole Beyonce even. When. I figured it might be a mistake.”
Patricia is nominated alongside African stars like Sho Madjozi and Shekhinah, Anne Kansiime, DJ Cuppy, Teni, Chane Grobler and Prev Reddy.
Global stars on the award show, which will be hosted by Chance The Rapper, include Beyonce, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish and Selena Gomez.
The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020 will be broadcast on Nick Toons (DStv Channel 308) on Monday, March 23, at 5.30pm – 24hours after the event in the US.
Durban's 'Aunty Shamilla' wins Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award
Durban - Durban comedian Preven Reddy has won a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award, in the African Social Star category.
Reddy, who goes by the alter ego of Aunty Shamilla, received a phone call in February, where he was informed he had been nominated for the award.
He posted on Facebook earlier today: "I have been crying happy tears all morning. We actually did it. Thank you so much to every single person who voted for me continuously. I am genuinely at a loss for words, this is so so surreal. Thank you for believing in me South Africa."
On his nomination Reddy told POST that while in primary and high school, he used to watch the awards with his grandmother and knew he wanted to work with them someday.
“I got to do some stuff at the Nickelodeon pop-ups at Comic Con last year and it was really fun. But I did not expect this. I cried for a solid 10 minutes," Reddy told POST.
Nickelodeon is an American pay television network, launched in 1977 as the first cable channel for children.
Reddy has almost 50 000 followers on social media.

On the heels of her 'Best New International Act' BET award, Sho Madjozi continues to collect international honors one after the other.
South African rapper Sho Madjozi was recently named "Favourite African Star" at this year's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the event took place virtually and was hosted by actress and singer Victoria Justice. This is Sho Madjozi's second international award following her "Best New International Act" BET award last year in June. Additionally, South African actor and comedian Prev Reddy was awarded "Favourite African Social Media Star".
The "John Cena" superstar took to social media to express her gratitude at having received the award saying, "Our job is to work, move forward and never reverse; Nickelodeon, thank you for this amazing award and to everyone that voted." She went on to add, "World, we have one message for you, Africa is coming and we are coming for you."
Monde Twala, Senior Vice President and General Manager of ViacomCBS Networks Africa commented on Sho Madjozi's win saying: "This incredible win comes at a crucial time for us as the continent observes and celebrates Africa Month. Nickelodeon puts kids first in everything that it does and the kids have spoken and voted for their favourite stars." Twala added that, "We would like to congratulate our African winners Sho Madjozi and Prev Reddy for flying the African Flag high at this global event. Millions of viewers can expect lots of fun, surprises and laughter from the 2020 Kids' Choice Awards".

Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020 airs live on Sunday, March 22, 2020 from 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon in the U.S. and YTV in Canada.
Leading into the award show, Nickelodeon SlimeFest, a two-day family-friendly music festival, will make its west coast debut on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The event features performances by Nickelodeon star and YouTube sensation JoJo Siwa, breakout pop group Why Don’t We, Grammy® Award-nominated multiplatinum artist French Montana, viral chart-topper Blanco Brown and singer/ventriloquist Darci Lynne. Leading the pack with the most Kids’ Choice Awards nominations are: Avengers: Endgame, with 11 nominations; Taylor Swift, with five nominations; and Frozen 2, Henry Danger and Lil Nas X, with four nominations each. First-time nominees include: John Cena, DaBaby, Tiffany Haddish, Tom Holland, Brie Larson, Lizzo and Megan Thee Stallion. With another nomination this year, Will Smith becomes the most nominated celebrity in Kids’ Choice Awards history, with a total of 29.

The beloved cast of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch have reunited for a good cause!
Melissa Joan Hart, Elisa Donovan, Caroline Rhea, China Jesusita Shavers, Nate Richert, Beth Broderick and more of the series’ iconic stars teamed up with Cast4Good to bring fans a virtual event to benefit World Vision.
The exciting fan experience aired live on Thursday, May 21 at 11AM PST on the Loop app. The virtual reunion included a live panel, a fan Q&A, and one-on-one video chats with the actors. Fans could snag tickets for the Sabrina, the Teenage Witch event starting May 16th at www.Cast4Good.com.
“The Sabrina cast is excited to be able to catch up virtually with our fans from around the world through Cast4Good, and all for a charity we love and adore, World Vision,” Melissa said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
And Melissa wasn't the only cast member excited for the event!
“It’s always great to see these guys. Never a dull moment. No matter how much time goes by, we always pick up where we left off,” Nate Richert said in a statement.
While Beth Broderick shared, “I always love hanging out with my ‘Sabrina’ family! Don’t miss your chance to join us!! Best Witches!”
“Nobody has to ask us twice to do a reunion– we all really love being together! If we can bring a little joy to the fans while raising funds to combat this terrible pandemic– it makes me feel a little less powerless in this uncertain and challenging time. We are truly all in this together,” Elisa Donovan also explained.
And Jenna Green revealed that fans could expect a very animated, excited reunion, saying, “We’re all big talkers and love nothing more than sharing stories of hilarity and all the crazy adventures we had filming the show. The fact that fans from all over the world will get the chance to see this reunion, live, is refreshing and feels so very special at a time when we can all use a smile and a belly laugh, and the fact that we can raise some money for charity makes it even better!”
Lastly, David Lascher said that he just couldn't wait to see his “old pals.”
“I am so thrilled to reunite with my Sabrina cast mates, who are also some of my best friends, to support World Vision and their Covid-19 relief work. I have the greatest memories from those year on Sabrina at Paramount and I’m excited to share them with the fans as well as see my old pals,” David shared in a statement to Access Hollywood.
During the event, cast reminisced about the hit 90s show, answered fans’ burning questions and even spilled what they took from set!
The event was led by Cast4Good, which is a new fundraising platform that was founded in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The new organization is set to raise money for charitable organizations through global virtual fan fests.
“Cast4Good could not be more excited to have the cast of Sabrina the Teenage Witch back together again to raise money for World Vision’s COVID-19 crisis response efforts. The hugely popular series has a global fan base and we’re excited to bring everyone together during this difficult time and in support of a great cause,” Todd Krim, founder of Cast4Good, said in a statement to Access Hollywood prior to the reunion.
All proceeds from the event will benefit World Vision, a charity that partners with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
Sabrina, the Teenage Witch was one of the biggest shows from the ’90s! The hit sitcom, which was based on a 1960s comic-book series, aired for 7 seasons between 1996 and 2003, on ABC in the U.S. and Nickelodeon in the U.K. The series later aired on Nick U.S.A.

TV URBAN LEGEND: The green slime on You Can't Do That On Television came about due to a mistake.
You Can't Do That On Television was a sketch comedy/variety series that ran on Canadian television and on Nickelodeon throughout the 1980s (it started in 1979 and ended in 1990, with a couple of gap years, so ten total seasons). It's famous for introducing slime to Nickelodeon.
The show was originally intended to be basically Saturday Night Live, only with teens and pre-teens - a forerunner to All That.
Actor Les Lye played multiple roles in the series and the kids would change from year to year. Every episode would be about a particular theme and the sketches would somehow involve that theme.
The sketches were almost all just recurring bits, like one set in a dungeon (with Lye playing a dungeon master)...
or a firing squad (with Lye playing the guy who says "Ready! Aim! Fire!")...
or a burger joint (with Lye playing Barth, the owner of the burger joint)...
or a disheveled Senator at home (played by Lye)...
The show is best known today, though, for its green slime, which would be dropped on any one who says "I don't know."
Everyone got hit by the stuff, even short-lived cast member, Alanis Morissette!
Even long after You Can't Do That On Television stopped airing on Nickelodeon, the green slime had become so iconic that it remained as a symbol of the network and its Kids' Choice Awards. Here's John Cena being slimed...
Being slimed is highly regarded as Nickelodeon's highest honor.
What's amazing, though, is that the green slime was invented by mistake!
One of You Can't Do That On Television's creators, Geoffrey Darby, was interviewed by Mathew Klickstein for Vulture, and Darby revealed the surprising secret origin of the green slime...
"How did you end up creating green slime?
Slime was an accident. Honestly, it was an accident.
We used to save stuff like pies and water until the end of the day so that we wouldn’t be waiting around with an expensive crew while we waited for the kid to get showered and cleaned up.
We were in the dungeon set and what happened was we had this joke, which was, “Whatever you do, kids, don’t pull on that chain.”
We went to the cafeteria and got them to give us a bucket of slop.
We said, “We want you to take all the stuff that’s left on plates over the whole day and put it in this bucket.” And then we were going to dump it on the kid so that it looked like if he pulled the chain, sewage would come out.
We didn’t get around to shooting the scene because you can’t go into overtime with children. It’s against the law. If you don’t get the scene, you don’t get the scene. We didn’t get it shot.
So we put the set up again the following week to shoot that one scene…
The prop man came to me – literally, this is a completely true story – and said, “There’s a problem.” The problem was that he didn’t get a new bucket of slop. He just kept the old one back stage. There was about eight to ten inches of green crud. Growing. It had grown on the top of this bucket of… stuff. There was mold.
So, we had to get the scene, right? We couldn’t get more slop, because we couldn’t! I said, “Dump… it… on… the… kid… anyway.”
And that’s how green slime was invented.
Wait, there was no concern about health issues here?!
No, not really. You [the kid] just needed to keep [his] mouth closed [literally, not figuratively] and go into a shower afterwards.
The first slime was real, then?
It was really evil. And, God, did it smell!
And the kid’s name who it was dumped on [Green Slime Victim #1!] was Tim Douglas [who also acted in Monty Python’s Meaning of Life]. And that’s actually how slime happened.
And it got such a positive response from the audience, that then we wrote a show with nothing but slime in it. [Geoffrey asked me not to tell anybody the ingredients of slime, but did confirm it was all edible and non-toxic.]"
That's amazing. Ah, the 1980s, when there were no safety rules!

The series even received a sequel in the form of The Legend of Korra, along with comic book spinoffs, novelizations, video games, and a live-action movie adaptation from M. Night Shyamalan.
According to the rumor, Ken Watanabe is being eyed for the part of series antagonist Fire Lord Ozai. From The Last Samurai to the aforementioned Inception and more recently, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the actor has been cast in numerous high-profile blockbusters over the years and would certainly be a good fit for the role. Of course, he’s presumably just one name being looked at and there’s no telling if he’ll end up signing on, but it certainly seems like Netflix is aiming high.
Whoever ends up being cast though, the production team definitely have their work cut out for them, as you’d be hard pressed to find a more devoted group of fans than those in the Avatar fanbase. After the movie was widely criticised, they’ll not let another substandard production pass them by, and they’ll certainly make their cause public if they need to.
