The messiest game show on TV returns bigger and slimier than ever before for a brand-new series, the all-new Double Dare, weekdays at 8:00pm ET/PT, only on Nickelodeon USA!

Hosted by digital creator and actress Liza Koshy, Nickelodeon's Double Dare revival sees a new generation of fans compete in the messiest and most physically challenging competition of their lives. Bringing together new fans and the iconic game show’s millennial audience from the ‘90s, original series host Marc Summers returns to give color commentary on the challenges, lending his vast knowledge of the game and expertise to each episode.

Series guests will include Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Lori Beth Denberg, Jamie Lynn Spears, Rico Rodriguez, Chloe Kim and Lindsey Vonn.

Nickelodeon’s new Double Dare will also spill off of the screen and into the real world this summer, connecting to fans both old and new in a series of forthcoming location-based live experiences. There will be opportunities for fans to play Double Dare in a on-the-ground version all summer long at Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America in Minneapolis.

VIMN Kids Taps Louise Bucknole for New Role of Vice President of Programming for Nickelodeon and Milkshake!

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has named Louise Bucknole as its new Vice President (VP) of programming, VIMN Kids.


In the newly created role, Bucknole is being tasked with driving ratings performance and brand strength for the Nickelodeon channels and Channel 5′s preschool programming block Milkshake! in the UK.

She will look to develop British preschool content to compete with global leaders in the field, continue to develop the VIMN Kids team and evolve both kids brands to continue to serve and reach their audiences.

In her Milkshake role, Bucknole will look to develop and commission British preschool content, and will also have a business development remit to work with commercial, consumer products and events teams to expand the brand and ensure best in class activations in addition to her responsibility to source for development commissioned and acquired content.

“Louise has an incredible wealth of experience in the children’s television industry across both the PSB and pay TV sectors and her expertise in scheduling and channel planning will help us to further drive ratings improvement for both Nickelodeon and Milkshake,” said Alison Bakunowich, Senior Vice President (SVP), General Manager (GM), Nickelodeon UK and Milkshake.

Bucknole will report into Bakunowich and will have a secondary reporting line into Ben Frow, director of programmes, Channel 5.

Most recently director of programming at Disney Channels UK and Ireland, Bucknole has been described as a passionate advocate of UK children’s content. In her previous role she was responsible for leading all strategic, editorial, commercial and operational aspects of content strategy. Bucknole was instrumental in key commissions including Goalmouth, First Class Chefs, Art Attack, Furry Friends, Access All Areas as well as acquisitions such as Curious George, Miraculous, Hotel Transylvania and Pokémon.

Prior to her six year stint at Disney, Bucknole worked as head of scheduling, BBC Children’s, where she oversaw content strategy for CBBC, CBeebies, the children’s blocks on BBC One, BBC Two and iPlayer.

Bucknole said: “I am delighted to be joining Viacom International Media Networks where I will work across both the Nickelodeon and Milkshake brands to bring much loved content to kids to excite, inspire and entertain them.

“This brings together my 20 years content and broadcasting experience across the commercial and PSB kids sectors and I can’t wait to join this brilliant team.”

The hire follows a number of recent deals for Milkshake!, including a third-season commission for Nevision’s hybrid series Floogals and a pickup of the new 22nd season of Mattel’s Thomas & Friends. Recent activity for Nick UK, meanwhile, includes the launch of a Nick Jr. Adventure Centre last month and the acquisition of all five seasons of Novel Entertainment’s Horrid Henry, with a further 42 new episodes currently in development, which are set to premiere on Nicktoons UK & Ireland from 2019.

Nickelodeon is currently the number one commercial broadcaster in pay TV homes and Channel 5 Milkshake is set for its fifth year of growth.

Nickelodeon GSA Looking for Contestants to Take Part on New Unboxing-Themed Game Show

Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland), Austria (Österreich) and Switzerland (Schweiz) has announced the exciting news that they are looking for kids across Germany, Austria and Switzerland to be contestants on Nickelodeon GSA's brand-new locally produced game show, UnboxingShow!


Do you love to unwrap presents and then play with it's contents? Then Nickelodeon is looking for you!

On UnboxingShow, contestants will compete with a parent of their choice to win amazing prizes - and with sharp skills and a bit of luck, they'll be able to take home more presents than they get for their birthdays and for Christmas, combined!

Nickelodeon are looking for Kids aged between 10 and 12 years old who like to play a variety of games, including skill games, board games, current generation video games, ball games and more, who will make a great team with a parent of their choice!

Kids can apply to be contestants on UnboxingShow by downloading and printing out the application form from here, filling it out with a parent and then emailing it to spielshow@starship-tube.com with their parents signature. (If the link does not open, try "right-click" ->"open link in new tab")

Closing date for entries is Friday 15th June 2018. Following the closing date, Nickelodeon and Kazoom Die Action-Spielshow staffel drei production company Bastei Media will jointly select which teams will go on to compete in the game show! Good luck! :)

Peppa Pig's Muddy Puddle Walk for Save the Children Australia | 13-19 August 2018

This winter, Australian children can slip on their gumboots and join Peppa Pig in getting all muddy while raising funds for other little ones, during Peppa Pig's Muddy Puddle Walk for Save the Children!


By participating, pre-schoolers around the country will help support Save the Children's work to give every last child the chance to learn, play and grow up healthy and happy.

Millions of children around the world are currently missing out on this due to factors including lack of access to health and education, abuse and neglect, and humanitarian emergencies. There's a whole week in which to host your own Muddy Puddle Walk, with the fundraising event running from Monday 13th-Sunday 19th August 2018.

By taking part in a Muddy Puddle Walk, children will continue to discover how much fun it is to explore the world around them.

Nikki Kerridge from Save the Children said a Muddy Puddle Walk is easy to take part in, and the perfect excuse to explore the outdoors with your little ones.



"We hope everyone will get outside this winter, come rain or shine, and help raise much needed funds for Save the Children," Nikki said.

"By jumping in muddy puddles like Peppa Pig and raising money for Save the Children you can help give disadvantaged children a brighter future."

Families can sign up individually, and child care centres and playgroups can join in too. There are rewards for everyone, with surprises from Peppa Pig including certificates and stickers plus magazines, books and DVDs.

Milkshake! Commissions ‘Digby Dragon’ Season 2 from Blue Zoo

Series two sees Digby lead his friends on new quests to adventurous places, where they rise to the challenges that unfold.

London - Channel 5’s Milkshake! has commissioned Blue Zoo to produce a second 26-episode season of Digby Dragon!


The season will have its premiere first on Channel 5's Milkshake! preschool programming block in 2019, before heading to Nick Jr. UK & Ireland, which is also part the Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) portfolio.

Originally commissioned by Nickelodeon UK, the first season of the popular CG-animated series debuted on Nick Jr. UK & Ireland in July 2016 before launching on Milkshake! in February 2017. Since then, the show has reached 8.3 million viewers of the popular pre-k block. (BARB Feb 2017-27 June 2018.)

The second season, a Milkshake! Commission, season two will debut in 2019.


The first season follows dragon-in-training Digby and his colourful friends as they embark on adventures in Applecross Wood, learning how to overcome their fears and doubts using courage and determination.

Series two sees Digby lead his friends on new quests to exciting and adventurous places, where they rise to the challenges that unfold. The world feels a much larger place, and the young audience will be willing Digby and his friends along at every stage of their journey.


Digby Dragon is a gorgeous series which has become beloved by our audience. It’s a true UK success story, charming viewers around the world and we are so proud to be commissioning the second series and continuing the Milkshake! legacy of investing in great British content,” commented Alison Bakunowich, Senior Vice President (SVP) and General Manager (GM), Nickelodeon UK and Milkshake.

“The show has been phenomenal to work on and adored by children worldwide. 26 brand new 11-minute adventures will be produced in total, with Nick Jr. UK and Milkshake! broadcasting in the UK, and Viacom broadcasting outlets in Latin America and Australia.

Digby Dragon, based on original work from Sally Hunter (Humphrey’s Corner), will continue to be produced by London’s Blue-Zoo, the studio behind shows like Go Jetters, Miffy’s Adventures Big and Small and Tree Fu Tom.

The news comes hot on the heels of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) naming Louise Bucknole as its new Vice President (VP) of programming, VIMN Kids. In the newly created role, Bucknole is tasked with driving ratings performance and brand strength for the Nickelodeon channels and Channel 5′s preschool programming block Milkshake! in the UK. She will also look to develop British preschool content to compete with global leaders in the field, continue to develop the VIMN Kids team and evolve both kids brands to continue to serve and reach their audiences.

Viacom Italia To Accelerate Licensing Business With The Help Of Nickelodeon Properties

The collaboration with Viacom Italia's marketing department, led by Lorenzo Incantalupo, has resulted in the long-term agreement between SpongeBob and Juventus, which has been extended to at least 2020. Among the new products in 2019 will be merchandise featuring Nickelodeon talent JoJo Siwa.


Viacom Italia is set to accelerate its licensing business. For the media company, led by Andrea Castellari, licensing is a strategic area of business, and is supported by some of the biggest properties in the kids' field, including SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the future looks bright for Viacom Italia's licensing business, thanks to new important partnership agreements, such as Viacom Italia's collaboration with Juventus F.C., which has led to the creation of the first-ever SpongeBob x Juventus fashion capsule collection. Thanks to the success of the collaboration, the partnership has been extended to at least mid-2020.

Speaking yesterday at Viacom Italia's annual Nickelodeon Licensing Meeting, Nadia Caron, the Senior Director of Licensing at Viacom Italia, Greece and Turkey, and Lorenzo Incantalupo, the Senior Marketing Director at Viacom Italia, presented the results of Viacom Italia's licensing division over the past year, and unveiled the new products featuring the group's properties that fans can look forward to over the next 12 months, underlining that over 90% of licensing activities are focused on the kids demp: in particular on the preschool area served by Nick Jr. and on the school aged demo served by Nickelodeon.

The rest of Viacom Italia's licensing activity is primary aimed at a young adult and 'fashion' age group, which is linked to a historical brands such as MTV. The 'life cycle' of licensing development is as follows: after broadcasting for six months on pay TV, the content passes to the free to air (FTA) channels, such as Cartoonito and Super! for another six months, in order to maximize brand awareness. Approximately one year after the on-air launch of a property, consumer products dedicated to the characters of the series are produced and ready to be distributed to stores to be sold to fans. Nickelodeon's licensing now covers all areas and product categories, hard and soft lines.

"Among our objectives for 2019, we will focus on the retail world, with the construction of live experience moments, and on loyalty programs, trying to bring our storytelling model into loyalty," Incantalupo pointed out.

With regard to the results achieved over the last year by Viacom's Licensing department, the first Global Master Toy agreement with Hasbro for the Top Wing preschool property, which will see the launch Top Wing toys globally in 2019, the Vivid Master Toy agreement with the Nella the Princess Knight preschool property and the agreement for multi-property activities in Conad have been significant developments.

Also of note was the agreement with Nestlé for the production of the first MTV branded KitKat Easter Eggs (Easter 2018), with a competition linked to the upcoming MTV EMA's in Bilbao, and the launch of the Spring/Summer 2018 collection with Arena for swimwear and accessories with the Shimmer & Shine and Ninja Turtles properties.

"Our properties have truly unique characteristics and values that allow us to be distinctive on the market," commented Caron. "Thanks to the constant collaboration with the various Viacom departments, we are always able to offer our partners, retailers or licensees integrated communication and product development projects that make a difference".

The collaboration with the Marketing department has given rise to an agreement between SpongeBob and Juventus that will last until mid 2020. After the competition on the Nickelodeon website to win a special day at the Juventus Stadium in Turin, the collaboration led to the launch of the first capsule collection of sweatshirts and T-shirts SpongeBob and Juventus on sale from last May in the Juventus Store throughout Italy. The next phase will lead to the creation of a wider and more articulated consumer product plan, which will also be international in scope.

Among the other synergy projects with the marketing area and the others of Viacom, scheduled for next autumn and continued into development in 2019, there are certainly Acquario di Genova and JoJo Siwa.

The Acquario di Genova has been in partnership for years with Nickelodeon and SpongeBob, which this year has been enriched with the themed SpongeBob room and the operation 'One night at the Acquario with SpongeBob' which will continue from back to school until late spring 2019 with further news and the involvement of partners for licensing and marketing activities.

JoJo Siwa is a very successful international talent of Nickelodeon, a 'muser' of millions of followers on social issues, who is starting to get well known, and for which she has an important brand development program, which sees all of Viacom's departments involved to to launch new cross-category products.

Per il network televisivo guidato dall’ad Andrea Castellari si tratta di un’area di business strategica, sostenuta da alcune delle property più conosciute al mondo in ambito kids (SpongeBob, Paw Patrol, Ninja Turtles) e proiettata verso il futuro grazie a nuovi importanti accordi di partnership, come quello siglato di recente con la Juventus che ha portato alla nascita della prima capsule collection dedicata a SpongeBob.

Ieri, in occasione dell’annuale appuntamento con il Nickelodeon Licensing Meeting, Nadia Caron – Senior Director Licensing di Viacom Italia, Grecia e Turchia – e Lorenzo Incantalupo – Senior Marketing Director di Viacom Italia – hanno presentato i risultati raggiunti nell’ultimo anno e anticipato le novità che coinvolgeranno i brand del gruppo, sottolineando come oltre il 90% dell’attività di licensing si concentri sul target kids: in particolare sull’area prescolare presidiata da NickJr (canale 603 di Sky) e su quella scolare a cui si rivolge Nickelodeon (canale 605).

A circa un anno dall’on air i prodotti dedicati ai character delle principali serie sono quindi pronti per essere distribuiti e venduti. Il licensing di Nickelodeon copre oggi tutte le aree e categorie merceologiche, hard e soft lines.

“Tra gli obiettivi del 2019, abbiamo in mente di focalizzarci sul mondo retail, con la costruzione di momenti di live experience, e su programmi di loyalty, cercando di portare il nostro modello di storytelling nel loyalty”, sottolinea Cantalupo.

Quanto ai risultati raggiunti lo scorso anno dal dipartimento di Licensing, rilevanti la chiusura del primo accordo Global Master Toy con Hasbro per la property prescolare Top Wing (che vedrà il lancio del giocattolo nel 2019), l’accordo Vivid Master Toy con la property prescolare Nella e quello per attività multiproperty negli ipermercati Conad.

Si segnalano inoltre l’accordo con Nestlé per la realizzazione delle prima Uova di Pasqua KitKat a brand MTV (Pasqua 2018), con un concorso legato ai prossimi MTV Emas di Bilbao, e il lancio della collezione SpringSummer18 con Arena per costumi e accessori nuoto con le property Shimmer&Shine e Tartarughe Ninja.

Dopo il concorso sul sito di Nickelodeon per vincere una giornata speciale allo Juventus Stadium di Torino, la collaborazione ha portato al lancio della prima capsule collection di felpe e T-shirt SpongeBob e Juventus in vendita dallo scorso maggio negli Juventus Store di tutta Italia. La fase successiva porterà alla realizzazione di un piano di consumer product più ampio e articolato con una declinazione anche internazionale.

Tra gli altri progetti di sinergia con l’area marketing e le altre di Viacom, previsti per il prossimo autunno e con uno sviluppo anche nel 2019, ci sono sicuramente Acquario di Genova e JoJoSiwa.

L’Acquario di Genova vede ormai da anni una partnership con Nickelodeon e SpongeBob, che quest’anno si è arricchita con la camera di SpongeBob e l’operazione ‘Una notte all’Acquario con SpongeBob’ che continuerà dal back to school fino alla primavera inoltrata 2019 con ulteriori novità e il coinvolgimento di partner per attività di licensing e di marketing.

JoJoSiwa è invece un talent internazionale di Nickelodeon di grande successo, una ‘muser’ da milioni di follower sui social, che in Italia sta iniziando ora a farsi conoscere e per cui è in definizione un importante programma di sviluppo del brand, che vede tutti i dipartimenti Viacom coinvolti, come base per arrivare poi al lancio di prodotto cross-categoria.

Dopo una fase di competition sul sito di Nickelodeon per vincere una giornata speciale allo Juventus Stadium di Torino, la collaborazione passa lancio della prima capsule di felpe e t-shirt decorate con il celebre personaggio SpongeBob e il nuovo logo del club, in vendita da maggio negli Juventus Store di tutta Italia sia per adulto che per bambino. La fase successiva porterà alla realizzazione di un piano di Consumer Product più ampio e articolato con una declinazione anche internazionale.

Tra gli altri progetti di sinergia con l’area marketing e le altre di Viacom, previsti per il prossimo autunno e con uno sviluppo anche nel 2019, ci sono sicuramente Acquario di Genova e JoJo Siwa.

Viacom Italia fa squadra con Juventus. Il network produttore di contenuti di intrattenimento, proprietario tra gli altri del brand Nickelodeon, ha stretto un accordo esclusivo con il club calcistico piemontese attraverso il progetto #MaiGettareLaSpugna. La partnership, nata con il supporto del dipartimento marketing Viacom Italia diretto da Lorenzo Incantalupo, continuerà con un piano di consumer product più ampio e articolato con una declinazione anche internazionale. “Si tratta di una collaborazione inedita per Viacom, che continuerà fino al 2020 sviluppandosi anche all’estero”, ha spiegato il manager a Pambianconews prima dell’annuale Nickelodeon Licensing Meeting, svoltosi ieri a Milano. “Il rapporto con Juventus si basa sul concetto di lifestyle più che su quello strettamente legato alla squadra”.

SpongeBob, tra le property più famose di Nickelodeon, e Juventus hanno deciso di collaborare per portare questo principio innanzitutto all’interno dei campi di calcio e dello sport in generale per arrivare successivamente negli store. “#MaiGettareLaSpugna è uno tra i valori che lo sport trasmette sin da piccoli, racchiude la capacità di continuare a provarci nonostante i fallimenti che si possono incontrare”, ha dichiarato Nadia Caron, senior director licensing di Viacom Italia, Grecia e Turchia. “Le nostre property – ha continuato la manager – hanno caratteristiche e valori davvero unici che ci permettono di poter essere distintivi sul mercato. Nadia Caron, Senior Director Licensing di Viacom Italia, Grecia e Turchia, presenterà questa sera, durante l’annuale appuntamento del Nickelodeon Licensing Meeting, le novità di Consumer Product in arrivo nei prossimi mesi, insieme al racconto dei successi raggiunti grazie alle sinergie interne di collaborazione con i dipartimenti di Viacom Italia a cominciare dall’area marketing guidata da Lorenzo Incantalupo, Senior Marketing Director di Viacom Italia.

L’attività di Licensing , spiega una nota del gruppo, si concentra in particolar modo sul mondo kids, legato quindi alle property dell’area prescolare di NickJr (canale 603 di Sky) e dell’area scolare di Nickelodeon (canale 605 di Sky). Nickelodeon da sempre crea un mondo di valori positivi in cui far crescere i bambini e farli sentire a casa; la mission delle attività di licensing è, quindi, quella di sviluppare brand in cui i bambini si possano identificare, di creare prodotti che possano trasmettere emozioni e di regalare esperienze che possano essere davvero memorabili.

Partendo da una solida posizione sul mercato acquisita negli anni, che deve essere continuamente alimentata e rafforzata, l’attività si concentra sulla pianificazione strategica delle franchise, sulla creazione di un rapporto diretto con il mondo dei retailer e sulla forte sinergia con le diverse aree aziendali di Viacom Italia per massimizzare il risultato.

Il Licensing di Nickelodeon copre oggi tutte le aree e categorie merceologiche, hard e soft lines, mentre sta sviluppando un’area con grandi potenzialità quale quella promotional e loyalty.

Tra i grandi risultati raggiunti lo scorso anno dal dipartimento di Licensing possiamo citare:

Chiusura del primo accordo Global Master Toy con Hasbro per la property prescolare Top Wing che vedrà il lancio del giocattolo nel 2019;

Chiusura accordo Vivid Master Toy con la property prescolare Nella;

Accordo per attività multiproperty negli ipermercati Conad;

Importante accordo con Nestlè con la realizzazione delle prima Uova di Pasqua KitKat a brand MTV, nella Pasqua 2018, con un concorso legato ai prossimi MTV Emas di Bilbao;

Lancio della collezione SpringSummer18 con Arena per costumi e accessori nuoto con le property Shimmer&Shine e Tartarughe Ninja.

JoJoSiwa è invece un talent internazionale di Nickelodeon di grande successo, una Muser da milioni di followers sui social, che in Italia sta iniziando ora a farsi conoscere e per cui è in definizione un importante programma di sviluppo del brand, che vede tutti i dipartimenti Viacom coinvolti, come base per arrivare poi al lancio di prodotto cross-categoria.

Ma molti sono i progetti di Licensing legati alle property del mondo Viacom che verranno presentati nel corso dell’anno e che prevedono piani di sviluppo a medio e lungo termine come punto fondamentale della strategia di Nickelodeon Viacom Consumer Product.
