SpongeBob Makes Small Cameo in New 'Animaniacs' Series

SpongeBob CameoPants!SpongeBob has been popping up in a few unexpected places this year! First off, he made a slight cameo in The King of Staten Island, and just recently, the new horror movie Come Play. Now the beloved sponge has made another small cameo: in Hulu's brand new reboot of the iconic animated series, Animaniacs! HEELLLLLOOO SPONGE!


In the scene, SpongeBob can be seen in one of the content panels that floats around Yakko's head.

Nickelodeon Balloons and Floats to Take Center Stage at 94th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

The show must go on! Macy's has announced that the SpongeBob SquarePants& Gary and Chase from PAW Patrol balloons as well as the Blue's Clues & You! and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles floats will be part of the 94th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!


Due to the on-going COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, the annual Macy’s Parade, for the first time in its more than 90-year history, will be modified to safely bring the magic to more than 50 million viewers nationwide on Thanksgiving Day, while maintaining all of the spectacle and wonder of this cherished holiday tradition.

This year the celebration will shift to a television only special presentation, showcasing the Macy’s Parade’s signature mix of giant character helium balloons, fantastic floats, street performers, clowns and heralding the arrival of the holiday season with the one-and-only Santa Claus.

For nearly 100 years, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been synonymous with the official start of the holiday season in the United States. Growing from a two block-long collection of Macy’s colleagues dressed in whimsical clown outfits, playing instruments and adorning floats in 1924, to the world-famous spectacle we know today, at the core of the Macy’s Parade has been the warm memories that fill the hearts and minds of generations of American families.

To safely produce this icon of American culture during this unprecedented time, Macy’s partnered with the City of New York to create a safe plan that would keep the tradition alive. Following the success of this summer’s reimagined Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks® show, the Macy’s team meticulously reviewed every area of the Thanksgiving Day playbook to put in place enhanced health and safety practices that align with CDC guidelines, as well as local and state government protocols.

The safety of participants and spectators is Macy’s number one priority and this year’s 94th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade celebration will be produced solely as a television event allowing millions of New Yorkers and the nation to safely experience it from the comforts of home.

As part of Macy’s comprehensive health and wellness plan a number of changes will be implemented in order to execute this event safely. These changes include, but are not limited to the following:

- Reducing the overall number of participants by approximately 75%, and splitting the remaining participants over two days

- All participants will be appropriately socially distanced during performances and be required to wear face coverings and additional personal protective equipment depending on their role

- Shifting to a television-broadcast-only production with staging for Parade elements focused solely in/ around the Herald Square area of Midtown Manhattan

- The traditional 2.5-mile Parade route will not be utilized this year

- No participant in the Parade will be under 18 years of age

- Previously selected regional High School and College Marching Bands performances will be deferred to the 2021 Macy’s Parade, with locally based professional marching and musical ensembles taking musical duties in the lineup

- Macy’s traditional Giant Balloon Inflation public event on Wednesday will not take place

- Macy’s signature giant character balloons will be flown without the traditional 80-100 handlers and instead employ an innovative, specially rigged anchor vehicle framework of five specialty vehicles tested and approved by the NYCDOT and NYPD

The 94th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air nationwide on NBC-TV, Thursday, November 26, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, in all time zones. For more information visit macys.com/parade. SpongeBob SquarePants & Gary Balloon


SpongeBob SquarePants will make his 16th appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. In 2004, SpongeBob made history as the Parade’s first-ever square balloon and this year, In 2019, SpongeBob returned from his parade hiatus to take to the sky with his pet snail Gary in tow. The brand-new SpongeBob balloon, which stands at 44-feet high, 36-feet wide and 46-feet long takes on his unique shape with the help of more than 800 internal tie-lines that pull the single chamber sphere balloon into a square.

Hailing all the way from Adventure Bay, this fearless rescue pup from the number-one preschool series, PAW Patrol, is ready to come to the ruff-ruff-rescue and show the citizens of New York that “no job is too big, no pup is too small.” The German Shepherd will journey from Adventure Bay to Manhattan’s skyline as a giant character helium balloon. Making its maiden flight in 2017, the balloon features Chase donning his signature navy blue police uniform and measuring 43.3 feet high, 36.2 feet wide and 59.8 feet long,

Blue's Clues & You! Float


Nickelodeon’s playful pup Blue, will be making a return to the annual holiday spectacle on her brand-new float that will showcase a 22-foot tall Blue, inspired by the look and feel of the new series Blue’s Clues & You!, a remake of the groundbreaking interactive series, Blue’s Clues. Covered in 13 pounds of glitter, Blue will shine down the Parade route as she greets fans of all ages. Blue's new float was introduced in 2019. Did you know: Blue has been marking clues in the Parade since 1999; she’s been both a balloon and a float!

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Float


Rising from the city sewers to save the day, the wildly popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—Raph, Leo, Donnie and Mikey—are equipped with an irreverent sense of humor and action-packed moves to fend off the bad guys. COWABUNGA! Introduced in 2018, the Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles float gives the crowd a glimpse into the Turtles’ secret lair hidden beneath the New York City streets.

Brazil - Fans can meet and greet their favourite Nickelodeon characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, Sunny Day, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Nella the Princess Knight and Top Wing at the Smart Outlets shopping centre, located in Guarulhos, 25 minutes from central São Paulo between Friday 20th November 2020 - Tuesday 5th January 2021!



Em Guarulhos: Tem encontro com personagens da Nickelodeon no Natal do Smart Outlets

Tem fã da Nickelodeon aí? Então, prepare-se! O Mundo Nick  será o tema principal da decoração de Natal do complexo de compras Smart Outlets, localizado em Guarulhos, a 25 minutos da região central da capital paulista. É uma oportunidade única de ver personagens como Bob Esponja, Patrulha Canina, Sunny Day, As Tartarugas Ninjas, Top Wing e Nella e a Princesa Guerreira. O cenário reúne quatro estações temáticas com 20 personagens. E as crianças ainda participam de uma sessão de Meet & Greet com os protagonistas dos desenhos mais famosos da Nick. O Natal Nickelodeon no Smart Outlets será inaugurado hoje, sexta-feira, dia 20 de novembro e ficará aberto ao público até o dia 5 de janeiro. Todas as atrações são gratuitas. 

Decoração

Na estação do Boulevard 1, tem Bob Esponja e seus amigos Gari, Patrick Estrela e Lula Molusco, que vão encantar os pequenos na famosa Fenda do Biquíni. É lá que as crianças vão tentar descobrir o ingrediente secreto da receita do hambúrguer de siri. Já a Patrulha Canina, que faz o maior sucesso entre os menorzinhos, estará no Boulevard 3 esperando as crianças para uma missão. Os filhotes da Baía da Aventura –  Rocky, Marshall, Rubble e Chase marcarão presença. 

No Boulevard 4, Nella, a princesa guerreira das telinhas convida a todos para uma aventura com Trinket, o unicórnio fashionista. As meninas do Sunny Day  – Sunny, Rox e Blair,  que fazem parte da série “Sunny and The Sun Rays”, também estarão presentes com muito glamour. Já a Praça de Alimentação recebe Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo e Michelangelo, de As Tartarugas Ninjas. Dá para comer e aproveitar ao mesmo tempo. A estação também conta com a turminha do Top Wings em volta de uma árvore de Natal com 4,5 metros de altura. 

As estações contam com os personagens dos desenhos da Nick em 3D e todos os espaços são instagramáveis para deixar a experiência ainda melhor. O horário de funcionamento é de segunda a domingo, das 9h às 21h.

Os encontros especiais com os personagens acontecem a partir do dia 20 de novembro, na data de inauguração do cenário natalino. A programação será divulgada em breve pelo site e redes sociais.

The TMNT Hit the Mats With New Albino & Preto Jiu-Jitsu Collection

Fresh from their recent SpongeBob SquarePants collaboration, Albino & Preto, an apparel and sportswear label that specializes in martial arts uniforms, has once again partnered with Nickelodeon to launch for a jiu-jitsu collection centered around the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!


The special range pays homage to the iconic ‘80s cartoon/comic book series with a series of items for both on the mat and off.

Leading the collaboration is a gi style for adults and kids marked by a flip on the classic TMNT badge reflecting the world of jiu-jitsu with the “Albino & Preto GRAPPLERS” motif. Other details include co-branded patches throughout the gi and a turtle shell-shaped carrying knapsack. Accompanying the gi are three T-shirts that continue the Albino & Preto GRAPPLERS design and a turtle themed take on A&P’s mark logo.

Canada - YTV enters orbit The Astronauts, Nickelodeon's first co-production with Imagine Kids+Family.  The brand-new live-action series follows a group of kids who embark on the adventure of a lifetime when they are mistakenly launched into space.  The Astronauts (10 x 30') is executive produced by Imagine Entertainment Executive Chairmen Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, and Imagine Kids+Family President Stephanie Sperber.  The series is created by Daniel Knauf (Carnivàle, The Blacklist), who also serves as writer and executive producer. The Astronauts will premiere on Friday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on YTV.

In the premiere episode of of The Astronauts, the spacecraft Odyssey II is set to launch on a mission to retrieve a foreign object that could potentially save mankind.  The plan quickly goes awry when five untrained kids use their parents’ security clearances to sneak onto the empty ship.  Soon after they board, the onboard AI system triggers the launch sequence.  Unable to stop the ship from blasting off, the kids must assume their new role as astronauts and brave harrowing tasks, as their parents rush to find a way to take control of the situation.


The group traveling together through space are: Samantha “Samy” Sawyer-Wei, played by Miya Cech (Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Always Be My Maybe); Elliott Combs, played by Bryce Gheisar (Wonder, A Dog’s Purpose); Martin Taylor, played by Keith L. Williams (Good Boys, The Last Man on Earth); Doria Taylor, played by Kayden Grace Swan (A Black Lady Sketch Show); and Will Rivers, played by Ben Daon (Child’s Play).  Matilda, the ship’s onboard AI system, is voiced by Paige Howard (The Employer, Adventureland).

The premiere episodes of The Astronauts are directed by DGA Award nominee Dean Israelite (Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Power Rangers movie, Project Almanac), who also serves as executive producer. The Astronauts made its world premiere on Nickelodeon USA on Friday, November 13, winning the day with Kids 6-11 across all TV for L+SD and L+3. The premiere posted a +31% increase with Kids 6-11, up from 1.3 (L+SD) to 1.7 (L+3).  It also saw a double digit increase in L+3 ratings (+55%) year over year. Additionally, The Astronauts delivered a strong co-viewing audience with 40% of Adults 18-49 watching the series premiere with a Kid 6-11.

Nickelodeon Launches 'NFL on Nick Play' Website Ahead of Airing Wild Card Game in January 2021

The NFL is coming to Nickelodeon, and to celebrate, Nick has launched "NFL on Nick Play", a brand new website full of football-themed activities!


Online at https://www.nflnickplay.com, fans can take part in football trivia, polls and games, learn the basics rules of the game, and download exclusive printables! The more fans play, the more points they win to unlock badges featuring their favorite Nickelodeon characters! Fans can also play-along using Nick's Screens Up app!

As part of the NFL's agreement with CBS, CBS will broadcast a Wild Card game on January 10, 2021. The game will also be available via a livestream on CBS All Access/Paramount+. Fans have been voting for their favorite SpongeBob SquarePants sporting moments on NickPlay.com, and now, Nickelodeon is tallying all the votes up and will reveal the results of the poll in January 2021!


It's currently unknown how Nickelodeon will announce the results: whether during a special, similar to the recent SpongeBob's Spookiest Scenes Countdown Special hosted by Patchy the Pirate, SpongeBob's No. 1 fan this past Halloween, or as interstitials in between shows. The results will most likely air around the same time Nickelodeon airs a Wild Card NFL game.

Voice Actor Rob Paulsen on His Iconic Roles, from TMNT and Animaniacs to Jimmy Neutron and Rick and Morty

Talking to Rob Paulsen is like taking a guided tour through an exhibition of the last three decades' most beloved animated characters. One of the most prolific and versatile voice actors of his generation, Paulsen can still slip into his most famous voices at the drop of a hat, from Pinky's (of Pinky and the Brain) Cockney twang to Carl Wheezer's raspy whimper. And after almost 40 years in the business, he's lost none of his love for and delight in his profession.

"Those of us who are lucky enough to make a living doing any sort of performing, we're incredibly fortunate," Paulsen says. "I'm so glad that I get how fortunate I am to do things like this, and to let people know that folks who do this completely understand how lucky we are to do it. And all that does is inspire us to do it better."

His latest stroke of good fortune: reprising his iconic roles in a revival of beloved '90s animated series Animaniacs alongside costars Tress MacNeille (Hey Arnold!, Rugrats), Jess Harnell (Big Time Rush), and Maurice LaMarche (Hey Arnold!, Futurama). With the reboot now streaming on Hulu, Paulsen spoke to Entertainment Weekly about some of the highlights in his storied career.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987-1995, 2012-2017)


Paulsen’s breakthrough came when he scored the role of Raphael on the original TMNT animated series. Decades later, he swapped shells to voice Donatello on Nickelodeon’s 2012 reboot, voice directs the current iteration of the franchise, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, in which he even guest starred in an episode along with LaMarche.

ROB PAULSEN: At the first recording session [for the reboot], I sat next to Sean Astin, [the new voice of Raphael], and he had a line that was a bit of a tongue-twister, and he had trouble getting through it. So about the fourth try on the line, I said [to the director], “I just want you to know, if he’s having trouble, I can do it if you really need me to.” And everybody laughed, and Sean’s face turned bright red. He goes, “Oh my God. Raphael is here, telling me that he can do Raphael better than I can.” It was great.

Turtles was a total game-changer. It was the first thing I got involved with where I had any tangential celebrity, but moreover, it allowed me to do unbelievable amounts of charity work, stuff that I never in a million years thought that I’d be able to do. Turtles is a big deal to millions of people, and not just kids. That is really what was the glorious aspect — it showed me the power of joy, and the power of these characters. I don’t even know how to quantify what that means to me, [when] somebody says, “My older brother is 36 years old, and he’s going through pancreatic cancer, and he’d really love to talk to Raphael.” And that happens all the time. That is what was such a game-changer, to know that something I would do for free has such a deep connection to millions of people. And I’ve gotten two cracks at it!

Animaniacs (1993-1998, 2020)


The Steven Spielberg-produced series gave Paulsen not one, but two of his signature characters — the mischievous Yakko Warner and the dull-witted mouse Pinky — and became a cultural phenomenon that took his career to a whole new level.

RP:Animaniacs was the only time in my life, before or since, that I was really aware and very cognizant of that axiom that luck is when opportunity meets preparation. I had already had five years of Ninja Turtles, which had changed my career. You get involved with something that becomes iconic and sells a lot of product and gets hundreds of episodes, all of a sudden people pay attention, so you get more auditions and all that stuff. But [with Animaniacs], I really felt like, “Holy smoke. If I can book this gig, this is going to be a big deal.” And I was right. If Turtles changed my career trajectory, Animaniacs changed my life, because it really played to my strengths. Singing, singing in character, working with people I knew, creating new characters — not having to try to do my version of something that was already well-known by millions. It was overwhelming, truly, in the most glorious sense. And personally, the dividends were far, far more than just a nice paycheck.

A Goofy Movie (1995)

Paulsen voiced Max Goof’s best friend P.J. on Disney’s Goof Troop and its big-screen adaptation. Though not a major success upon release, A Goofy Movie has become an unexpected cult favorite in the decades since.

RP: Five years ago, I got a call from Disney about [coming to] their D23 event for the 20th anniversary of A Goofy Movie. And I said, “Oh, sure. I'm really flattered that they're bringing us down there.” And the guy said, “Oh, dude. You don't know? It's huge.” I started laughing, and I said, “You're kidding me.” “Oh my God, no. We have a thousand-seat auditorium, and it'll be full.” And it was! They had to turn people away. I truly didn’t know. It turned out to be a really good movie, and it has really withstood the test of time. I think the reason is because, like a lot of other Disney projects, it really hits people where they live. Let me tell you, [Goofy voice actor] Billy Farmer is one really fine actor, and when you watch the scenes between Max and Goofy, the joy and the heartbreak and the difficulty in understanding one another, all that s--- that real humans go through, is beautifully portrayed. Billy is wealthy in spirit and bank account for very good reasons.

The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius (2002-2006)


Another of Paulsen’s roles that took on a life he never expected was Carl Wheezer, Jimmy Neutron’s hyper-allergic and much less intelligent best friend. The actor voiced Carl in the 2001 Nickelodeon film as well as its spin-off TV series.

RP: I love Carl, because it's a totally different character for me, and I made some conscious choices that I think helped define the character. I appropriated P.J. and tweaked him a bit [for Carl], but I decided to add that sort of lazy L — Tom Brokaw is a great example, [where] the L is a glottal L, it’s in the back of his throat. It's a subtle thing, but it’s an endearing little vocal hook that played really well. And that was a total choice from yours truly. And the cool thing is that the folks making the show heard it and said, “Let's keep that in.” Also, I'm a fairly good improviser, and I would add things like, if Carl would fall off a llama, I’d say, “I think I dislocated my scapula.” Scapula is a funny word, and it also has an L in it. And when I say “scapula,” it works perfectly for Carl.

Carl's kind of become iconic in a backhanded sort of way. I just joined TikTok six weeks ago; [there are] like 115 million Carl Wheezer interpretations! Talk about the sincerest form of flattery. I’m so incredibly humbled by that. People love that guy. I put my own [Carl voice] on there and said I'm really who I am, and people said, “Oh, you're not really the guy.” I was like, “Why would I lie about that?” [Laughs]

Rick and Morty (2013)

If there’s one project besides Animaniacs that Paulsen knew right away would be something special, it’s Adult Swim’s acclaimed sci-fi series. The actor played super-intelligent canine Snowball on “Lawnmower Dog,” the show’s second episode.

RP: When [co-creator] Justin Roiland called — and Justin is also the voice of both Rick and Morty, in addition to being a remarkable writer — he said, “Rob, I gotta tell you, you, Tress [MacNeille], and Maurice [LaMarche] were people who I grew up watching. And I thought, if I ever,” dot dot dot, “I'm gonna hire [them],” and he did. He lived up to his own commitment, called me and got me in right away, and Maurice too.

The first lines I had on Rick and Morty were, “Where are my testicles, Summer?” I looked up at him and said, “This is great!” That episode is a pretty excellent example of why Rick and Morty is so freakin’ good: it was a really interesting, clever way to proffer that insight into what dogs would do if they had the power that we have over them. And it was a real privilege to be part of it. I hope [Snowball] comes back. I would work on that show anytime, for scale. You can print that. I love that show.

Meet the Cast of Nickelodeon's ‘The Astronauts’

Get ready to blast off into space with Nickelodeon’s The Astronauts!

Starring Miya Cech, Bryce Gheisar, Keith L. Williams, Kayden Grace Swan and Ben Daon, the new show is centered on a group of kids who embark on the adventure of a lifetime when they are mistakenly launched into space. The premiere episode, which aired on November 13, follows the group as they use their parents’ security clearances to sneak onto the empty Odyssey II before it’s set to launch a major mission. While onboard, the kids trigger the launch sequence, which blasts them off into space. While their parents try to get them back, the kids are forced to become astronauts.


Just ahead of the show’s second episode, which aired on Friday, November 20, J-14 caught up with the cast. They spilled some tea on their characters, shared some behind-the-scenes secrets from set and more! J-14: Tell us about your character! Who do you play?

Miya: I play Samy Sawyer-Wei. She’s the daughter of the flight commander of the Odyssey II spaceship, Rebecca Sawyer. She’s very smart and has aspirations of becoming an astronaut, too. So, she is the only one of the five kids who knows how the ship works and how to fly it [because] she’s been studying on her mom’s simulator for years.

J-14: Do you relate to Samy?

Miya: I do love space like Samy. I’m not a genius in school, but I do love science and math. I can be stubborn like Samy at times but I’m definitely more silly and goofy than she is.

J-14: Is it fun starring in a show about space? What was it like working inside the spaceship?

Miya: I love space and sci-fi. It’s definitely one of my favorite genres. I also love that we get to work with some of the coolest directors who really know how to make a space show! Our spaceship set is so amazing. On our first day, I was in awe of how detailed everything is. When we are filming, I feel like I’m actually on a ship.

J-14: Any fun behind-the-scenes stories you can share from on set?

Miya: I am a huge K-pop fan in real life, but in the show, Doria is the K-pop stan. The rest of our characters are supposed to be clueless about K-pop. In any scene involving SuperM or K-pop, it was so hard for me pretend like I was clueless.

J-14: What’s your favorite scene that you’ve filmed so far?

Miya: I loved filming the scenes when I’m floating through the spine of the ship. I get to hang by wires and pretend like I’m floating. Basically, any time I get to fly on wires is awesome. I also have a very emotional scene later in the season that was very challenging but so cool to film.

J-14: Do you get along with your costars when the cameras stop rolling?

Miya: We all lived in the same building during filming, so after work it was easy to run to each other’s rooms and hang out. We also really liked hanging out at the pool and grabbing dinner together. We all love boba tea so that was usually our go-to dessert.

J-14: What was your reaction when you found out you were cast on The Astronauts?

Miya: Nickelodeon came to me with the script for The Astronauts and told me that Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Imagine Kids & Family were involved. I was so excited because I had just finished working on season one of Are You Afraid of the Dark?,  which had been such a cool experience. I was excited to get to continue working with Nickelodeon and work on a very real and grounded space adventure. Also, Samy’s story line was basically everything I could ever ask for in a dream role.

J-14: Tell us about your character! Who do you play?

Bryce: I play Elliot Combs, the son of the spaceship’s billionaire owner, Griffin Combs. He has always lived in the shadow of his father and always felt like he needed to prove himself. Elliot also convinced his friends to go on the spaceship. He wants to be a leader but comes off arrogant. Even though he comes off in this way, he is actually a very sensitive kid underneath.

J-14: Do you relate to your character at all?

Bryce: I don’t have too much to relate to as far as personality traits. I mean, we do look the same. I’d say that both Elliot and I are both very determined. If we have an idea, we usually stick to it.

J-14: Is it fun starring in a show about space? What was it like working inside the spaceship?

Bryce: I didn’t know what to expect at first. I didn’t know how everything was going to look and I didn’t know how you would film a show like this. After I got on set and finally understood, it was pretty amazing. I always dreamed of doing a sci-fi TV show,  so it was a dream come true.

J-14: Any fun behind-the-scenes stories you can share from on set?

Bryce: We filmed half of this show during the pandemic so it was hard to do anything while following the COVID precautions.

J-14: What’s your favorite scene that you’ve filmed so far?

Bryce: I’ve filmed a lot of scenes that delve deep into Elliot’s emotions in later episodes. Those were some of my favorites to film.

J-14: Do you get along with your costars when the cameras stop rolling?

Bryce: Yes, we all have a lot of fun when the cameras aren’t rolling. Some of our favorite things to do are go out to eat and watch movies. We do that on a regular basis.

J-14: What was your reaction when you found out you were cast on The Astronauts?

Bryce: I was super excited and ready to get on set. I saw some concept art after booking the show and those pictures made me even more excited.

J-14: Tell us about your character! Who do you play?

Keith: I play Martin Taylor, the quiet and most reserved kid onboard the spaceship. He brings a healthy dose of common sense, loyalty and heart to the group.

J-14: Do you relate to your character at all?

Keith: I can totally relate to my character as we are both reserved and protective over our family and friends.

J-14: Is it fun starring in a show about space? What was it like working inside the spaceship?

Keith: I’m having the time of my life starring in The Astronauts. It looks so realistic, as if I am actually floating in the Odyssey II. It was very tight working in the spaceship so I loved having my own gardening area where I would prepare food while also trying not to float away.

J-14: Any fun behind-the-scenes stories you can share from on set?

Keith: I have several, but one that really stands out was when filming the scene when the kids sneak onto the ship. My jacket kept getting caught on the fence when I would go under it.

J-14: What’s your favorite scene that you’ve filmed so far?

Keith: My favorite scenes have to be the spacewalk and without giving away too much, floating outside the ship was incredible!

J-14: Do you get along with your costars when the cameras stop rolling?

Keith: We all have great chemistry. Filming was an amazing adventure. We all live in different locations but we do stay in contact.

J-14: What was your reaction when you found out you were cast on The Astronauts?

Keith: I was in Los Angeles with my mom when I got the call that I booked The Astronauts. After I stopped screaming, I immediately called my dad and older brother. We were all very happy!

J-14: Tell us about your character! Who do you play?

Kayden: I play Doria Taylor, the super self-confident, stubborn outgoing younger sister of Martin. Doria never wants to lose an argument, especially when it comes to her brother. She has a great eye for detail and endless creativity. She is obsessed with fashion, K-pop stars and music and also has an interest in medicine.

J-14: Do you relate to your character at all? 

Kayden: Yes, I completely relate to Doria in nearly every way. I love fashion and music in the same way as she does and I have to admit, I’ve taken advantage of being a little sister a few times! Just like Martin, my big brother Brandon looks out for me.

J-14: Is it fun starring in a show about space? What was it like working inside the spaceship?

Kayden: Starring in a show about space is absolutely amazing. Working inside what is basically a real-life spaceship is incredible. Every single detail is real. Every button, monitor and switch actually work!

J-14: Any fun behind-the-scenes stories you can share from on set?

Kayden: Some of my funniest stories are from scenes that we filmed in the command module. When we are in the seats we are actually on our backs and basically upside down. There were times we would all get the giggles because it’s just a funny feeling when the seat would flip back and slide us into position.

J-14: What’s your favorite scene that you’ve filmed so far?

Kayden: By far my favorite scene we’ve filmed so far is a dance scene. We got to have a lot fun with that and just be silly.

J-14: Do you get along with your costars when the cameras stop rolling?

Kayden: Yes! The best thing we all have in common is we’re all foodies! Keith and I have become best friends and we act exactly like brother and sister.

J-14: What was your reaction when you found out you were cast on The Astronauts?

Kayden: When I found out I was cast as Doria, my mom and manager pulled a prank on me, telling me that I didn’t have to go to a second scheduled producers’ session. So, I was naturally let down but tried not to show it, then they told me I didn’t have to go to the session because I had booked the role! I was in complete disbelief. I couldn’t even comprehend what they were telling me at first. Then once I understood it was for Doria … I screamed … I cried and I even hit myself in the head a few times! I still get chills when I think about that day.

J-14: Tell us about your character! Who do you play?

Ben: I play Will Rivers, he is a funny goofy class clown full of charisma and wonder. He’ll never say no when asked to help or participate and is overjoyed by his new friends.

J-14: Do you relate to your character at all?

Ben: I find that I relate to my character quite a bit. We both like making people laugh, and love helping out and making friends.

J-14: Is it fun starring in a show about space? What was it like working inside the spaceship? 

Ben: Working on this show is easily the most fun I’ve ever had. Being with the kids, working with the amazing directors, being on a spaceship! I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

J-14: Any fun behind-the-scenes stories you can share from on set?

Ben: I can’t pick one moment. Being with the kids behind the scenes was so much fun, doing school together, trading jokes, eating lunch. They made the experience what it was.

J-14: What’s your favorite scene that you’ve filmed so far?

Ben: My favorite scene is in the cargo bay. It is this massive set with a very high ceiling, and I got to hang from it. It’s my favorite scene because I got to do zero-g work, which is one of my favorite part of filming for me.

J-14: Do you get along with your co-stars when the cameras stop rolling?

Ben: Yes, being with the other kids who all come from different places, with different stories and different experiences, made this undoubtedly more fun.

J-14: What was your reaction when you found out you were cast on The Astronauts?

Ben: Any time you book work in this industry it’s such a great feeling.  So, when I found out I booked this awesome show, I think went into shock!  I would even go as far as to say it’s the most excited I’ve ever felt.

Update (10/30) - Nickelodeon will premiere the brand new Casagrandes episode "Cursed!" on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. (ET/PT)! Promo and sneak peek!:








It's currently unknown which episode the video clip is from, but it's speculated to be from the new Casagrandes episode "Cursed!". In the episode, celebrity psychic Ernesto Estrella deems Great Lakes City to be bad luck and Abuela believes him. (#119)

Brown) comes to collect his payment. Meanwhile, a bet leads to some walrus dancing. (#103)

Nickelodeon to Premiere 'Kinderwood' on Tuesday, December 3, 2020

Lessons are about to begin at Kinderwood, a brand new animated preschool series, premiering Tuesday, December 3, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon!


In Kinderwood, five young friends with different personalities play, learn, and grow together at Kinderwood, an extraordinary school where every day is filled with new adventures, discoveries, and experiences, both big and small.

Kinderwood will launch with a holiday special, "A Kinderwood Holiday; Snowball Effect; Hop to the Top". When the decorations on the Frost Festival tree mysteriously disappear, Liddo leads an expedition deep into the branches. (#106)

Carin Greenberg, a Peabody finalist and winner of three Daytime Emmys, two Annie Awards and a Writers Guild Award serves as co-executive producer and story editor of the series. Greenberg is the co-creator, writer and executive producer of Quarantween: the Musical for TheaterWorksUSA. She has developed television projects with numerous networks and studios, including as the story editor and writer for seasons 2, 3 and 4 of Amazon Prime Video's Tumble Leaf; co-creator/writer of Destination Solar System, an immersive, live space adventure that played at the planetaria in Chicago, Denver and Nashville; and as head writer of Nick Jr's Lalaloopsy. Greenberg has also served in a variety of roles on beloved shows such as Gullah, Gullah Island, Blue's Clues, Allegra's Window, Dora the Explorer, Wonder Pets!, Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps and Dragon Tales.

Not much more information is currently known about Kinderwood, however, ViacomCBS applied to register the trademark of the series on December, 22, 2017.

Nick News Mini: Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) will premiere the brand new The Loud House hour-long special "Schooled!" on Friday 20th November 2020 at 18:30! The special marks the debut of season 5 in the country. Additionally, Nick Brasil will air a week of brand new The Casagrandes (Os Casagrandes) episodes (airing as 10-minute carts) from Monday 23rd November 2020 at 18:00! "Schooled!" is locally titled "Aprendendo na Marra" in Brazil.

In additional news, due to the on-going COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, Claro is offering customers the chance to watch Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. for free until Tuesday 15th December 2020!

Nick to Host 'SpongeBob'-Themed Interactive 'Nickelodeon Master' Game in Germany

CALLING ALL GOOFY GOOBERS! (ROCK!) Nickelodeon will be hosting Nickelodeon Master in Germany (Deutschland)!


A localised edition of Nickelodeon's global hit Sponge Master, Nickelodeon Master is a interactive game that invites kids at home to play-along by answering questions about SpongeBob Schwammkopf and the show's characters correctly as quickly as possible whilst watching episodes of the beloved animated series. By answering questions correctly, kids can win and collect points, with the fan with the most points being crowned the winner of the game: the Nickelodeon Master! The players with the highest amount of points will also have their name appear on screen! The spongeriffic fun starts Monday 30th November 2020!

Kids can play-along using the Nick Play app, available to download for free for iOS and Android devices.
