Santa Claus needs the PAW Patrol's help in a brand new PAW Patrol holiday special!


In the all new Christmas-themed PAW Patrol episode "Pups Stop a Bah-Humdinger," Mayor Humdinger is being very naughty on Christmas Eve and its up to the PAW Patrol to help Santa and save Christmas!

The new Christmas episode "Pups Stop a Bah-Humdinger" is set to premiere in Canada on Saturday, November 21 at 8:00 a.m. A U.S. airdate has yet to be announced, however, it'll most likely air on Nickelodeon USA as part of the network's holiday highlights, which also includes the series premiere of Nickelodeon's brand new preschool series, Baby Shark’s Big Show! in December.

PAW Patrol fans can also countdown to Christmas with the Paw Patrol 12 Days of Socks Advent Calendar and the 2020 Nickelodeon: Storybook Collection Advent Calendar!

Nickelodeon is preparing for the return of The Midnight Society with the all-new Are You Afraid of the Dark? three-part limited series event. Based on the ‘90s kids’ cult classic, and reimagined for a new generation, part one of Are You Afraid of the Dark? will premiere on Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) and Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) on Friday 16th October 2020 at 8 PM (Col) | 8:30 PM (Mex) | 9 PM (Arg/Ven) | 10 PM (Chi) | 21h30 (Br), with Parts 2 and 3 airing at the same times on Friday 23rd and Friday 30th October 2020, respectively.

The series is locally titled ¿Le Temes a la Oscuridad? in Latin America and Clube do Terror Vem Ai in Brazil.

Across the three hour-long episodes, Are You Afraid of the Dark? will follow members of an entirely new Midnight Society, who tell a terrifying tale of the Carnival of Doom and its evil ringmaster Mr. Tophat, only to witness the shocking story come frightfully to life. In the just-released trailer, viewers meet the new members of the Midnight Society, get a glimpse at the uncertainty that awaits and prepare for an adventure beyond their wildest nightmares.



In Part One, "Submitted For Approval", tormented by nightmares, the new girl in school feels and out of place until a mysterious group invites her to join. All she has to do is tell a truly terrifying story.

In Part Two, "Opening Night", when a friend's disappearance seems to be linked to Rachel's story, the Midnight Society decides to attend the Carnival of Doom. Is it the same carnival from her nightmares? How?

In Part Three, "Destroy All Tophats", with her friends' lives at stake, Rachel decides to take charge and end Mr. Tophat's reign of terror. Will the story have a happy ending, or is the Midnight Society doomed?


The new members of the Midnight Society are: Rachel, played by Lyliana Wray (Top Gun: Maverick); Gavin, played by Sam Ashe Arnold (Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever.); Akiko, played by Miya Cech (Rim of the World, Always Be My Maybe); Graham, played by Jeremy Taylor (IT: Chapter Two, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween); and Louise, played by Tamara Smart (Artemis Fowl, The Worst Witch). The Carnival of Doom’s ringmaster, Mr. Tophat, is played by Rafael Casal (Blindspotting).

Are You Afraid of the Dark? is produced by ACE Entertainment (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Perfect Date) with ACE founder Matt Kaplan and Spencer Berman serving as executive producers. The series is written by BenDavid Grabinski (Skiptrace, Happily) and directed by Dean Israelite (Power Rangers movie, Project Almanac), both of whom are also executive producers. Chris Foss is also an executive producer.

One of the Nickelodeon’s most iconic series from the ‘90s, the original Are You Afraid of the Dark? delivered riveting stories of horror to young audiences, all from a kid’s perspective. Are You Afraid of the Dark? is owned by DHX and was created by D.J. MacHale and Ned Kandel, who are also executive producers on the project.

Are You Afraid of the Dark? made its world premiere on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Friday, Oct. 11, at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT), as part of the network's Halloween programming highlights. A second season has been commissioned and an podcast series is in the works.

Quem Tem Medo do Escuro? está de regresso, no Nickelodeon

Bem a tempo do Hallowen, o Nickelodeon volta a apresentar “Quem Tem Medo do Escuro?”. Ainda se lembram da série dos anos 90 que conquistou os jovens?

É uma das séries mais adoradas do público jovem, foi um sucesso nos anos 90, e este ano está de regresso bem a tempo do Halloween. “Quem Tem Medo do Escuro?” é a nova mini-série desta temporada do Nickelodeon e tem estreia marcada para 17 de outubro.

Um remake da série dos anos 90, é composta por três episódios, cada um com uma hora, e volta a apresentar-nos a Sociedade da Meia-Noite. Composta por um grupo de amigos, a Sociedade junta-se ocasionalmente em locais secreto para contar histórias de terror… e perceber realmente quem tem medo do escuro.

Originalmente criada por D.J. MacHale e Ned Kandel, esteve no ar entre 1992-1996 e por mais uma temporada em 1999-2000. Agora é apresentada com produção da ACE Entertainment (“To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before”) e com produção executiva de Matt Kaplan e Spencer Berman. Foi escrita por Ben David Grabinski e realizada por Dean Israelite.

A nova versão de “Quem Tem Medo do Escuro?” tem na sua Sociedade da Meia-Noite os amigos Gavin (Sam Ashe Arnold, “Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever.”), Akiko (Miya Cech, “Rim of the World”), Louise (Tamara Smart, “Artemis Fowl”), Graham (Jeremy Taylor, “It”) e Rachel (Lyliana Wray, “Top Gun: Maverick”e “Black-ish”). O mestre de cerimónias do Circo da Desgraça, Mr. Tophat, será interpretado por Rafael Casal (“Blindspotting”).

A série irá para o ar no Nickelodeon todos os sábados, a partir de 17 de outubro, às 17h10, estando o último episódio marcado para dia 31 de outubro.

Quién es el CEO detrás del éxito de Bake Off y MasterChef Celebrity en Telefe

Darío Turovelzky es el Director General de ViacomCBS para Cono Sur. Una de sus señales líderes es Telefe, que en 2020 se impuso con el estreno de Bake Off y MasterChef Celebrity Argentina. De qué se trata Pluto TV, el servicio de streaming de televisión gratuito que pelea contra Netflix y el pronto desembarco de Disney+ Plus 

Aunque tiene 44 años, Darío Turovelzky tiene más de 25 de experiencia en la industria audiovisual. Hoy, como director General de ViacomCBS para el Cono Sur, tiene a cargo la dirección y administración general de Argentina, Chile, Uruguay y Paraguay, con la responsabilidad de la estrategia global de contenidos de todas las marcas en la región, que incluyen entre otras a Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Network y, claro, Telefe, el canal al que ingresó en 1996.

Su carrera lo llevó por diferentes derroteros, pero siempre dentro de la industria audiovisual. Después de esa primera etapa en Telefe, trabajó como productor ejecutivo en proyectos como Popstars o The Amazing Race, y fue director de Contenidos de la productora RGB Entertainment, donde lideró proyectos como Floricienta, Casi Ángeles y Chiquititas.

Al 'canal de las pelotas' volvió en 2012, como gerente de Programación y Adquisiciones. Cuando, en 2017, Viacom adquirió Telefe, se convirtió en co-líder de Viacom Cono Sur junto a Guillermo Campanini, el COO. Al año siguiente, incorporó la responsabilidad de la planificación estratégica de los contenidos globales de VIMN Américas y de Viacom International Studios (VIS), la unidad de desarrollo, producción y distribución de contenidos de Viacom para todo el mundo.

“Algo que me parece que entre todos deberíamos ir cambiando está relacionado a qué es la televisión, porque el término ‘la televisión’ ya cambió”, dice Turovelzky ante la pregunta de cómo cambió el consumo de TV en los últimos años. “Hay que hacer el cambio de mindset de lo que era la TV a lo que es hoy. Por eso hago énfasis en el contenido y el consumo de contenido. Más allá del medio o la plataforma, que sin dudas son importantes, lo que subyace es el contenido”.

¿Cómo está cambiando la industria a partir de esto?

Sin dudas, la industria está cada vez más entretenida y dinámica. Pero en esta dinámica y transformación permanente es donde el consumo de contenido es lo primordial y crece cada vez más. También están un poco borrados los límites entre un canal de TV abierta, cable, plataformas digitales. Es un funnel o embudo donde todo empieza a converger de forma integrada. Es un ecosistema. Y ViacomCBS es un ecosistema de diversas plataformas, pero nuestro objetivo está en el contenido, porque es la base para poder explotarlo o expandirlo en todas las variedades de plataforma, territorio o idioma.

O sea, crear contenidos y que el público elija desde dónde y cómo verlos...

Exacto, pero por eso digo que el concepto de “la televisión” es diferente. Los chicos, por ejemplo, ven contenidos. Saben sobre un determinado contenido, pero seguramente no se sientan en el sillón o en la mesa para prender la tele y verlo. Se enteran por las redes sociales, por YouTube... por cualquier plataforma. Por un lado, ese ecosistema nos permite saber el nivel demográfico de cada contenido. Y, segundo, en esa conjunción se puede generar una estrategia de programación o ventaneo, y una comercial. Y de repente tenés un contenido que de una manera integral o 360° empieza a verse reflejado o replicado en todas las plataformas y apuntado a cada uno de los targets con una gestación o desarrollo pensado para cada uno de sus públicos.

¿Cómo se piensa la estrategia comercial?

De la misma manera en que pensamos integradamente los contenidos y plataformas, tenemos un equipo de Revenues, porque tenemos muchas líneas de ingresos. Puede ser la televisión abierta, por cable, la operación de ventas de señales, consumer products, branded contents... Si mirás el paraguas de revenues, replica esto de los contenidos. ¿Cómo hago para ofrecerles las mejores propuestas comerciales a los clientes que les den una variedad de plataformas apuntadas a diferentes targets?

Hay un trabajo permanente con el equipo de Partners Solutions que analiza propuestas para darles ese valor agregado y que no sienta que nada más pone una tanda o una publicidad no tradicional (PNT). Y esto es clave: el vínculo entre el anunciante y la compañía es muy estrecho. Estamos desde la gestación de las ideas, participan los equipos de desarrollo y programación, no es una venta y se terminó. Un ejemplo es Codo a Codo, con MercadoLibre, que es un branded content que sale en horario prime time (NdR: fueron 10 eventos musicales en 6 países de América latina).

¿Cómo es el negocio de ViacomCBS en la Argentina?

Si lo tuviera que resumir, nuestra estrategia es liderar, entretener y generar experiencias para las audiencias, teniendo el mejor contenido y ofreciéndolo de diferentes maneras. El negocio tiene tres ejes: negocio tradicional o core, negocio adyacente y negocio emergente. Con respecto al primero, a veces la palabra tradicional suena a viejo, pero es el alma mater de nuestro negocio, que tiene que ver con el core business, con la señal de TV abierta (Telefe), los 8 canales del interior, la señal internacional, y las de cable como MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Comedy Central, Paramount Network y VH1. Sumado a la representación comercial de Directv, que complementa la cobertura con contenido deportivo.

¿Cómo está performando este negocio?

En el caso de Telefe, a fines de agosto cumplimos 32 meses ininterrumpidos siendo líderes de la televisión argentina (NdR: según Kantar Ibope en el acumulado del año encabeza con 40,71 por ciento de share y 7,78 puntos de rating). En estos meses, Telefe amplió el gap entre el competidor directo a niveles históricos, Nickelodeon llegó al puesto 2 en público infantil, Comedy Central tuvo crecimientos del 50 por ciento en los primeros trimestres del año... Siempre, cada uno enfocado en su target, pero crecimos en todos.

¿Qué es el negocio adyacente?

Nos permite explorar o descubrir oportunidades que vienen a través del negocio tradicional. Por ejemplo, en 2018 creamos el ViacomCBS International Studios. Es lo que acá llamamos una gran productora y en el mundo llaman estudios. En este caso fue concebido para desarrollar, producir y distribuir contenido no solo para nuestras marcas sino para terceros y en cualquier territorio. Son bases que generan contenidos para nuestras marcas o terceros, sean plataformas, canales, operadores móviles... Es una usina que genera contenidos de forma permanente. También está la pata de consumer products o licenciamiento de las propiedades, el merchandising. Y live events, shows o experiencias en vivo, que incluye desde los Kid’s Choice Awards hasta la versión en teatro de Casados con hijos.

¿Y los negocios emergentes?

Lo que nos está pasando es que nos debatimos a nivel interno si seguir usando la palabra emergente, porque ya son negocios reales. Pero tienen que ver con la gama y oferta en relación a contenido digital y plataformas de streaming, como Paramount+, Noggin (enfocada en edutainment, con contenido para niños y sus familias) y Pluto TV, el servicio de streaming de televisión gratuito que lanzamos hace 5 meses en América latina (excluyendo Brasil), enfocado en contenido hispano.

¿Cómo funciona?

No hace falta suscribirse ni dejar datos, y tiene una grilla de canales, con más de 50 canales temáticos, que se pueden ver de forma lineal u on demand. A cinco meses de haberlo lanzado tenemos más de 18.000 horas de contenido curado. El contenido no proviene solo de nuestras marcas, sino que tenemos más de 100 socios, como la BBC o Sony. Estamos tratando de erradicar la palabra competencia. Sí existe una sana competencia, pero son empresas proveedoras o nosotros somos proveedores. Todo esto que estoy contando no se puede dar si no existe la gestión de liderazgo de equipo, de trabajo en conjunto, donde las alianzas son nuestro logro primordial.

¿Cuál tiene más peso a nivel de ingresos?

Sigue siendo el core, sin lugar a dudas, por la masividad y lo que representa en volumen. Pero los otros dos negocios tienen crecimientos de dos dígitos de forma permanente. El desafío es cómo hacemos para cruzar y potenciar los ingresos en todos los negocios, además de diversificar, no sólo para que lleguen a todas las audiencias, sino también para que los clientes o anunciantes quieran sumarse a este ecosistema. Hay múltiples plataformas de streaming compitiendo por la atención (y la inversión) de los usuarios.

¿Se está saturando la oferta?

Es un gran punto y es el debate que se está dando en todo el mundo. Pero vuelvo a la calidad del contenido, los talentos y el vínculo emocional. Si estas tres patas, obviamente apoyadas por la calidad del producto, están puestas delante de cualquier cosa, no tengas dudas que al público no le va a importar pagar o entrar si es gratuita. Si no hay contenido bueno, talento o vínculo emocional, la gente no va a entrar aunque sea gratis.

¿Cómo impactó el contexto actual por la pandemia?

Obviamente que el Covid-19 afectó a todo el mundo, y a la industria del entretenimiento de manera directa. Pero hay que mirar los dos lados de la moneda y, en nuestro caso, lo que nos caracterizó en estos meses fue la capacidad de reacción y la resiliencia a este tipo de situaciones. Hoy la industria está pasando por un momento difícil, pero buscamos de forma permanente cómo adaptarnos a esta nueva normalidad. Cambiamos la programación, la adaptamos a los cánones de seguridad, generamos espacios de noticias. Eso no nos repercutió en performance, por el contrario. Me encantaría estar produciendo todo lo que tenía previsto, pero tuvimos que postergarlo. Tenemos paradas producciones en muchos países, pero está listo el protocolo para, cuando cada país lo autorice, empezar a producir de manera inmediata.

¿Y a nivel general en la industria?

Por la pandemia, muchas productoras están en problemas e incluso analizan cerrar… La industria está en plena transformación y evolución y estamos en este proceso de integrar diferentes plataformas y procesos de digitalización. Lo que sí vemos es que está aumentando el consumo de contenido y cada mes salen nuevas plataformas. Si hay nuevas plataformas, hay más contenido o mayor demanda de la gente en querer consumir. La Argentina per sé tiene una calidad enorme de profesionales tanto delante como detrás de cámara.

Pero vuelvo al contenido: cuando se den las circunstancias para volver a acomodarnos después del Covid-19, estoy seguro de que la industria va a empezar a reforzarse y reconstruirse. Como en el medio estamos en una transformación evolutiva de la industria, se torna tal vez más complejo. El contenido es clave, pero el consumidor pasa a ser el protagonista. Hay muchas oportunidades en la digitalización de plataformas y la distribución de contenidos en el mundo.

¿Cuál es la respuesta frente a la crítica de que se recurre a los enlatados en lugar de a producciones locales?

Me encantaría tener producciones locales las 24 horas. Pero el mercado no lo resiste tampoco. Esta industria también es un negocio. No es solo producir o generar el mejor contenido, sino también tener rentabilidad y ser sustentable en el tiempo. Pero creemos en el contenido y por algo Viacom compró Telefe, sabiendo que es una usina de desarrollo de contenido. No invierte sabiendo que no va a generar contenido, por el contrario. Uno podría pensar “ViacomCBS tal vez tiene un poco más de lata”, pero no para de generar producciones en la Argentina y en la región, como Pequeña Victoria o 100 días para enamorarse. Sin dudas todos los players de la industria tienen que entender este juego como si fuera un reloj, en el que cada engranaje cumple un rol y ahí está el punto: cómo hacemos para congeniar los intereses de cada uno de estos actores pero con un objetivo en común de hacer crecer y potenciar cada vez más la industria.

¿Cómo cambió el consumo de contenidos por la realidad de este año? ¿Algo los sorprendió?

En varias líneas de programación nos sorprendió para bien porque superaron las expectativas previstas, desde Bake Off hasta los noticieros. Si bien no somos un grupo de noticias que además tiene un canal de noticias, tenemos 6 ediciones de noticias (cuatro importantes y dos más pequeñas), que extendimos en duración. Cuando planificás y los resultados son buenos, es doblemente fabuloso. Y cuando superás las expectativas, ni hablar. La final de Bake Off logró más de 60 por ciento de share, no existe, te diría que en ningún país del mundo, ese porcentaje. Y quiero hacer hincapié de vuelta en el equipo, porque si bien soy la cara visible de los contenidos y de la compañía en la región, esto es el trabajo de un tremendo equipo de todas las áreas.

¿Cómo se lidera en este contexto?

Estoy liderando mi equipo ejecutivo que conformé hace solo 90 días a través de Zoom. Y estamos todos cada vez más alineados y unidos entre todas las áreas. Algo que uso como metáfora son las acróbatas con los palitos y platos. Esto es lo que nos pasa hoy a todos, que estamos tratando de mantener los platos. Algunos se caen y no está mal, pero hay tres en esta compañía que no se pueden caer: el liderazgo (cómo hacemos para mantenerlo), los gastos (nos tenemos que adecuar para que el modelo de negocios sea sustentable y rentable, poniendo el foco en las prioridades) y los ingresos (diversificar las líneas de negocios para seguir generando). Esto es estrategia.

¿Qué planes hay para lo que queda del año?

Hay muchos proyectos. Para el caso de Telefe, por ejemplo, estamos con Masterchef Celebrities. Pluto TV se va a lanzar en Brasil, con contenido en portugués. Y para el año próximo vamos a lanzar una plataforma premium de contenido a nivel global y para la región.

Nickelodeon is expanding the world of the number-one kids’ series, Henry Danger, with the launch of Danger Force, a brand-new original live-action spinoff premiering this October 2020 on Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) and Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil)!

Created and executive produced by Christopher J. Nowak (Henry Danger, Sam & Cat), the new series stars two of the most beloved characters from Henry Danger, “Ray/Captain Man” (Cooper Barnes) and “Schwoz” (Michael D. Cohen), and introduces four new superheroes-in-training as they team up to fight crime in their town of Swellview. Danger Force (13 episodes) is produced by Barnes and Jace Norman (Henry Danger), and production for the series is currently underway.

Danger Force will premiere on Nickelodeon Latinoamérica and Nickelodeon Brasil on Saturday 3rd October 2020 at 20:30 (BR).

Danger Force is locally titled Força Danger in Brazil.

Nickelodeon announced the news following the premiere of the series finale of Henry Danger on Saturday 26th September 2020.

“A key part of our content strategy is to grow original franchises like Henry Danger by expanding their worlds through new characters and more high-stakes adventures,” said Brian Robbins, President, Kids & Family Entertainment, ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks. “We’re spinning off our Henry Danger mega-hit into Danger Force, where a new set of characters join members of the original cast for a wholly new take on this long-running series.”


In Danger Force, four kids--Chapa (Havan Flores), Miles (Terrence Little Gardenhigh), Mika (Dana Heath) and Bose (Luca Luhan)--are recruited to attend Swellview Academy for the Gifted (SW.A.G. for short), a school conceived by Captain Man and brought to life by Schwoz, after having been accidentally mutated in the fight to save Swellview. While there, the kids must learn to harness their frequently troublesome and sometimes uncontrollable superpowers as they begin to fight crime. Despite the dangerous circumstances of their new lives, the superheroes must keep their real identities a secret from both from their families and the villains who are out to destroy them.

Danger Force’s four brand-new superheroes-in-training were introduced in the final episodes of Henry Danger. Henry Danger is Nick’s longest running live-action sitcom, with 128 episodes across five seasons. For 2019 and year to date, the series is the number-one show for Kids 6-11 on all TV.

Production of Danger Force is overseen for Nickelodeon by Shauna Phelan, Senior Vice President, Live-Action Scripted Content. Omar Camacho serves as Nickelodeon’s Executive in Charge of Production for the series.

Danger Force made its world premiere on Nickelodeon USA on Saturday, March 28, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).

Danger Force underscores a key element of Nickelodeon's content strategy, to build and expand the worlds of its enormously popular franchises like Henry Danger, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Blue's Clues & You!, among others, to give audiences more of what they love. Nick's new content slate is informed by the network's ongoing research and insights into today's generation of kids, who: are the most diverse generation ever and expect to see themselves authentically represented in media and in the world around them; want to make a positive difference in the world as they grow up; consider social media stars as their top role models, alongside their parents; and increasingly meet their much-desired need for family time by co-viewing entertainment content together.

NICKELODEON VENTURES INTO THE MONSTERVERSE IN ORIGINAL ANIMATED SERIES OLLIE’S PACK, PREMIERING OCTOBER 2020 IN LATIN AMERICA AND BRAZIL

Ollie, his two best friends and an otherworldly backpack embark on monstrous adventures in Nickelodeon’s original action-comedy series, Ollie’s Pack, premiering October 2020 on Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) and Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil)!

Produced by Nelvana, the 26-episode, 2D-animated series combines the struggles of tween life with the responsibility of controlling an entire dimension of monsters.

Ollie’s Pack will premiere on Nickelodeon Latinoamérica and Nickelodeon Brasil on Saturday 10th October 2020. The series will be locally titled Ollie y los Monstruos in Latin America and O Portal do Ollie in Brazil.

Ollie’s Pack is filled with excitement, humor, and heart, and we are thrilled to welcome Ollie and his friends to Nickelodeon’s incredible family of original characters,” said Nina Hahn, Senior Vice President of Development and Production, Nickelodeon.

Chris Rose, Vice President of Animation Production and Development, Nickelodeon, adds, “I can’t wait to introduce a new generation to the timeless tale of a boy growing up and finding his place, while simultaneously trying to save the world.”

Ollie’s Pack follows Ollie and his backpack, which doubles as a powerful portal allowing an array of monsters to travel from the Monsterverse into Ollie’s world on Earth. Throughout the series, Ollie and his two best friends must protect the earth from the horrifying monsters that have escaped, while often utilizing the helpful monsters who assist with their everyday tween problems, like sneaking into a movie or winning their school’s Battle of the Bands contest. No matter the circumstances, Ollie’s thirst for adventure undoubtedly gets him into trouble that only he and his friends can resolve.

In the first episode, “New Kid on Campus,” Ollie takes Captain Wowski to school in the pack. CW loves it so much he poses as the new kid the next day. Then, in

Ollie’s stinky sweat is a hot commodity in the Monsterverse so he exchanges it with a monster who offers to do his laundry. Then, in "The Chosen One(s), a former Chosen One unexpectedly shows up. Her presence creates a rift between Ollie and his pals.

The US-English dub of the series stars James Hartnett (Cupcake & Dino) as Ollie, an ordinary, impulsive, and creative kid who has been given the status of Chosen One and Keeper of the Pack; Ana Sani (Mysticons) as Cleo, the brave and adventurous comic relief; and David Berni (Rocket Monkeys) as Bernie, the nervy and logical voice of reason.

Along the way, audiences will be introduced to some larger than life monsters including Andre and Bev, a bounty hunting double act; Major Snooch, a high ranking official in the Ministry of Chosen One Affairs; and Rance, a weaselly petty thief in utter denial about his boldfaced stealing.

The series originated from “Monster Pack,” an original short made for Nickelodeon’s 2013 Animated Shorts Program. Creators Pedro Eboli (Cupcake & Dino) and Graham Peterson (Rick & Morty) met at the Vancouver Film School and have now been friends for over 10 years. Pedro is a creator, producer, director and animator from Rio de Janeiro, while Graham is an animation supervisor and instructor at local and overseas studios.

Peru Champs Partners with Biotec Andino Nickelodeon and MGA for Children's Facemask Campaign to Raise Money for Disadvantaged Youth

Peru Champs is partnering with Biotec Andino (through its Gelatti arm), Nickelodeon and MGA to launch "Súmate y Dona" ("Join and Donate"), a brand new campaign in which the Peruvian non-profit civil association is seeking to raise money to help disadvantaged youth in the country with the sale of children's facemasks (face coverings) featuring popular Nickelodeon and MGA properties and brands, including PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants (Bob Esponja), L.O.L Suprise, Unicornio, Trendy and Camo. During the campaign, Biotec Andino will donate money to Peru Champs to increase the number of scholarships that it can provided to children in 17 cities across the country.



Perú Champs, Gelatti, Nickelodeon y MGA lanzan mascarillas infantiles

Este año Perú Champs realiza la campaña Súmate y Dona que, gracias a la donación de Biotec Andino, a través de su marca Gelatti y, a los diseños de Nickelodeon y MGA para la fabricación de mascarillas infantiles, se podrá ampliar el alcance de jóvenes a los que se busca ayudar.

La campaña consiste en que por la compra de las mascarillas desechables, Biotec Andino estará donando dinero a Perú Champs para aumentar la cantidad de becas que se puedan brindar a niños y niñas en 17 ciudades del país. Las mascarillas muestran los diseños de los dibujos animados más reconocidos como Paw Patrol, L.O.L Suprise, Bob Esponja, Unicornio, Trendy y Camo. Además, el producto posee una tecnología de tres capas, cintas elásticas y la certificación de Leitat Technological Center de Europa.

Actualmente, Perú Champs está becando a más de 2100 campeones a nivel nacional y continúa en la búsqueda de una sociedad mejor mediante iniciativas como la campaña Súmate y Dona.

Toda la recaudación de ViacomCBS por la venta de las mascarillas faciales de Nickelodeon será donada a la ONG Perú Champs.

ViacomCBS Networks Consumer Products Latinoamérica anunció un acuerdo con el licenciatario con sede en Perú, Biotec Andino, para crear mascarillas faciales de los icónicos personajes de Nickelodeon, Bob Esponja y PAW Patrol. Las mascarillas descartables, que no son de uso médico, estarán disponibles en los principales puntos de venta próximamente.

Nickelodeon Italy (Italia) has announced plans to host SlimeFest 2020, the channel's fifth annual localised version of Nickelodeon's slime-filled, multiplatform music and entertainment event!


Due to the on-going COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, SlimeFest 2020 Italia will take on a whole new format. Instead of a live event, SlimeFest 2020 will be a TV special full of surprises, special guests and, of course, Nickelodeon Slime that will come directly from Nickelodeon's "Secret" laboratories!

Hosted by Cecilia Cantarano and Valeria Vedovatti, winners of "Nuova Star Italiana" and "Internet Star Italiana", respectively at Kids' Choice Awards 2020SlimeFest 2020 will premiere on Nickelodeon Italia on Friday 11th December at 20:00.

Nickelodeon Benelux (BLX) will premiere Creator Camp, a brand new Dutch language series, on Monday 26th October 2020! Produced by NewBe (De Grote Slijmfilm, Nickelodeon's Knotsgekke Kerstvakantie). Creator Camp revolves around five talented students who are admitted to an exclusive talent camp where they'll learn everything from social media to singing, dancing, crafting, acting, editing and composing.


The young students stay on the site for the entire holiday and work on their online skills. The group will work together on assignments and spend a lot of time together. However, this also creates challenges: do they become friends or do they differ too much from each other?

In Creator Camp we follow Felice, Saar, Zef, Asha and Cas. They have been admitted to the exclusive camp and all five have a different talent that they want to develop whilst staying at the camp. Dyanthe Willems, leader of the camp, together with her team of professionals, will prepare the talented youngsters to become digital creators. She will be assisted in this by several well-known faces who will provide guest lessons at the camp, such as well-known influencers, singers and more.

In addition to the challenges of the camp, the five talents also have to deal with the wayward daughter of the owner of the site. Vicky, who is played by Bibi, is incredibly creative and talented, but her father, played by Edo Brunner, does not allow her to participate in the camp. However, Vicky wants to do her best to convince him of her talent. Is this going to work for her? And what else do the other five talents experience at the camp? Creator Camp will air Mondays to Thursdays at 19:30 uur on Nickelodeon Netherlands (Nederland) and Nickelodeon Flanders (Vlaanderen) starting Monday 26th October 2020.


The series will also extend to online with Camp Stories. In Creator Camp, viewers will see the six talents during their classes and challenges at the camp, but what happens outside of the TV broadcasts? Via the online series Camp Stories, fans can follow the main characters from Creator Camp in 18 separate, stand-alone episodes that can only be viewed online. Felice, Saar, Zef, Asha, Cas and Vicky will give a unique and intimate look behind the scenes of the Creator Camp through videos.

Disney-stem Lynn Tackaert maakt seriedebuut

Lynn Tackaert, die al jaren stemmen inspreekt voor onder meer Disney en Netflix, maakt binnenkort haar debuut als actrice in de nieuwe Nickelodeon-serie Creator Camp. Dat maakt haar agentschap ArtistMan donderdag bekend.

In Creator Camp, waarin zij deel uitmaakt van de vaste cast en de rol speelt van zanglerares Lesley, maakt Tackaert haar tv-debuut als actrice. Sinds haar afstuderen aan de Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Tilburg in 2011 woont en werkt de van oorsprong Vlaamse actrice in Nederland.

Creator Camp draait om vijf jonge talenten die worden toegelaten tot een exclusief talentenkamp waar de leerlingen alles leren op het gebied van social media tot zang, dans, craften, acteren, editen en componeren. Naast Tackaert zijn ook acteur Edo Brunner en YouTube-ster Bibi te zien. De serie is vanaf 26 oktober te zien op Nickelodeon in Nederland en Vlaanderen. Iedere week schuift een andere bekende Nederlander of Vlaming aan voor een gastrol in de serie.

Hoewel zij een herkenbaar uiterlijk heeft, kennen de meeste mensen Tackaert waarschijnlijk van haar stem in animatieseries als Calimero, Inspector Gadget, Bollie en Billie, Monchichi en I Didn't Do It. Ook is ze de stem van de heks in 7D, de spin-off van Sneeuwwitje en de Zeven Dwergen. "Ik werk al jaren als stemactrice, maar ben eigenlijk opgeleid als allround actrice", aldus Tackaert. "Ik ben super dankbaar dat ik nu deze kans krijg om mezelf ook als actrice te kunnen laten zien."

LOS ANGELES – October 20, 2020 – Entertainment One (eOne), Hasbro’s entertainment studio, announced today that producer and director Jonathan Entwistle has come on board to shepherd new film and television adaptations of Power Rangers. eOne will develop and produce the projects with Entwistle set to direct across both formats.

Entwistle most recently co-created the Netflix original series I Am Not Okay With This and created Netflix original series The End Of The F***ing World. He is a graduate of the prestigious Chelsea School of Art in London and is represented by CAA, 42, Grandview and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner & Klein.

Power Rangers is an American entertainment and merchandising franchise built around a live-action superhero television series, based on the Japanese tokusatsu franchise Super Sentai. The first Power Rangers entry, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, debuted in 1993.

In 2018, Hasbro acquired the Power Rangers franchise from Saban Brands, releasing their first products in early 2019. In addition to the new non-kid projects under Entwistle, Power Rangers-inspired kid series Dino Fury is currently in season two. It should be noted that Jonathan Entwistle joining the Power Rangers franchise isn’t something that just happened. Last December, it was reported that he was in negotiations to direct a new Power Rangers movie for Paramount Pictures that wouldn’t be connected to the last one and would see this Ranger team time traveling back to the 1990s. It’s unclear if this particular project is still in the works (albeit at Entertainment One now) or if it’s been shelved, but either way, his role has now expanded from director of just one movie to creative architect across both film and TV.

Of the three theatrical Power Rangers movies that have been released over the last 25 years, only 1997’s Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie shared universe/continuity with what the Power Rangers were doing on TV, with the movie basically serving as a pilot for the Turbo TV series. 1995’s Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: The Movie served as an alternate take on how the original Mighty Morphin’ team’s powers changed compared to what went down in the TV show, and 2017’s Power Rangers simply delivered fresh takes on Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Billy, Trini, Gordon, Alpha 5, Rita Repulsa and Goldar in the modern era.

Originally the plan was for the last Power Rangers movie to kick off a film series over at Lionsgate, with the immediate sequel intended to introduce Tommy, the Green Ranger. However, along with earning mixed critical reception, Power Rangers only made a little over $142 million off a $105 million budget, those film series plans were scrapped.

Currently Power Rangers Beast Morphers is finishing its second season on Nickelodeon, and Power Rangers Dino Fury will premiere next year. Now that Hasbro is keen on intertwining the film and TV sides of Power Rangers more closely together, it’ll be interesting to see how these deeper connections are specifically reflected on both the big and small screens, although there’s already a multiverse in place that easily allows for numerous Ranger teams to cross paths.

Paramount Appoints Jeremy Kramer as President of Paramount Players

Paramount Pictures Motion Picture Group President Emma Watts has hired former 20th Century Studios executive Jeremy Kramer as president of Paramount Players, Variety reports.


The news follows reports earlier this month that Kramer was circling the post. Paramount Players was created as a genre label by Brian Robbins, the founder and former CEO of AwesomenessTV. Robbins left the studio to run Nickelodeon in 2018.

The hiring of Kramer, who will report to Watts, was announced Tuesday, October 20. He will oversee the films made under the Paramount Players label, which has the task of creating genre films from “unique, contemporary” voices and properties. Ashley Brucks, who previously served as executive vice president of production for Paramount Pictures, will be moving to Paramount Players as senior executive vice president of production.

“Jeremy has a proven track record of nurturing talent, both established and new, supporting their vision and helping them execute at the highest level — from Let’s Be Cops to Kingsman to Deadpool,” Watts said. “There’s isn’t a movie that he’s worked on that he hasn’t made better. The challenges of ensuring that Paramount Players grows and addresses the demands of our various audiences are formidable and we know that Jeremy is up to this task and we welcome him to our team.”

Kramer began his career as an independent producer producing Noah Baumbach’s directorial debut Kicking and Screaming in 1995. His career started at MPCA and Orion, then in 1998 he became senior vice president of production at Miramax Films. In 2004 joined DreamWorks, where he worked closely with Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld’s Red Hour Films.

Kramer returned to producing as a partner at Red Hour. In 2010, Watts brought Kramer back into the studio world as an executive vice president of production at 20th Century Fox. During his career, Kramer has overseen more than 50 films including She’s All That, Blades of Glory, Disturbia, Tropic Thunder, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, both Deadpool movies and most recently, the latest installment of the Kingsman franchise.

Kramer also spearheaded Fox’s first projects produced for streaming services, including the Lil Rel Howery and John Cena comedy Vacation Friends for Hulu, as well as Home Alone for Disney Plus.

“My years working with Emma and Jim [Gianopulos, Chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures] at Fox were some of the most enjoyable and rewarding days I’ve had in the film business, and I am fortunate and excited to make movies with them again,” says Kramer. “We’re excited to build a slate of commercial movies that will empower new voices and experienced filmmakers to deliver the original movies that audiences crave.”

Bruck developed and oversaw A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II. She also oversaw the remake of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary and Alex Aja’s Crawl. She was the studio executive who founded, championed and oversaw the micro-budgeted Paranormal Activity franchise. Currently, she is supervising for Paramount the latest chapter in the Scream series, as well as The Lost City of D, starring Sandra Bullock, and the big screen musical adaptation of Mean Girls.

Launched in 2017, Paramount Players has a mandate to develop and produce features in conjunction with ViacomCBS-owned brands such as Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and BET. Films from the Paramount Players label so far include Dora and the Lost City of Gold, based on Nickelodeon's beloved animated preschool series Dora the Explorer, Playing With Fire starring John Cena, What Men Want, Body Cam. A live-action/CGI-hybrid Rugrats movie was also in the works, but has since been shelved. The label was also slated to revive and produce a theatrical version of Nickelodeon's fan-favorite horror anthology series Are You Afraid of the Dark?, however, Nickelodeon later decided that the revival would work better as a TV miniseries, which was renewed for a second season earlier this year.

ViacomCBS Int'l Promotes Wincie Knight to VP of Global Inclusion Strategy

ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI) has promoted Wincie Knight to Vice President (VP) of global inclusion strategy.


Knight (pictured) will be based in London and report to Marva Smalls, Executive Vice President (EVP) of global inclusion at ViacomCBS and Executive Vice President (EVP), public affairs, Kids and Family Entertainment Brands, at ViacomCBS Media Networks; and Maria Kyriacou, President of VCN UK, Australia and Israel.

In her new role, Knight will join the UK Cluster Senior Leadership Team, overseeing the development of insights-driven strategic plans for diversity and inclusion across VCNI, and partner across the business to implement solutions that drive inclusive business behaviors at all levels of the company.

Knight will lead a team to deliver diversity and inclusion objectives in the UK and Europe, Israel, Middle East, Africa and Asia, and work closely with the company’s senior leadership and the Office of Global Inclusion.

The executive started her career at Viacom in 1999, later joining the Office of Global Inclusion team in 2014 as senior director, global inclusion strategy.

In that role, Knight spearheaded Viacom UK’s first Inclusion Week in 2018, which was then expanded in 2019 to all of the company’s offices in more than 30 countries.

In 2019, she played a key role in commissioning a Caerus Executive report to examine the experiences of Black, Asian, Minority, and Ethnic (BAME) employees at Viacom UK.

Knight also launched an employee-led mental health initiative with VCN UK employees trained by Mental Health First Aid England, to serve as mental health ambassadors for the VCN UK office.

Knight was recognized as a 2020 British LGBT+ Awards Top 10 Corporate Ally and was named a BAME Workplace Hero by the 2018 Investing in Ethnicity Awards.

Smalls said: “Wincie has been a longtime asset to our global inclusion team, and her work has helped transform ViacomCBS’ international diversity and inclusion strategy.” Knight added: “I look forward to the work we will continue to do in order to ensure authentic, meaningful inclusion across our business.”

Knight’s promotion follows ViacomCBS Networks International introducing a global “no diversity, no commission” strategy last week.
