Nick-Nick-Nick-Nick-N-Nick-Nick-Nick, Nick on CBS is back - kind off!


CBS All Access, CBS’ digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, has added fan-favorite Nickelodeon series Danny Phantom, Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel The Legend of Korra and iCarly and Victorious spin-off Sam & Cat to its programming library! The series were added on Monday, January 6, 2020.

Subscribers can now stream seasons 1 & 2 (26 episodes) of The Legend of Korra, seasons 1 & 2 (37 episodes) of Danny Phantom; and all 35 episodes of Sam & Cat on CBS All Access.

The addition to Nickelodeon programming is part of CBS All Access' efforts to make the service appeal to kids and families. “We’re bringing to market a fantastic roster of exclusive originals along with a library of marquee series for families, and we look forward to continuing to expand our children’s programming offering, especially with the future addition of incredible programming from Nickelodeon,” said Marc DeBevoise, President and COO, CBS Interactive in November 2019. The news follows Viacom and CBS merging to become one company in December 2019.

Danny Phantom, The Legend of Korra and Sam & Cat join previously added children's series to the service, such as: The Adventures of Paddington Bear, Bob The Builder, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Danger Mouse, Danger Mouse Classic*, Heathcliff*, Inspector Gadget*, Inspector Gadget's Field Trip and The New Adventures of Madeline. All children's series can be found under the 'Kids' tab on the CBS All Access website and app.

* Previously aired on Nickelodeon in the '80s and '90s.

All CBS All Access children’s programming will be available commercial-free. At launch, parental pin controls will be available across the following platforms: CBS.com, the CBS app for iOS and Android, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV*, Roku and Xbox One. It's SpongeBob SquarePants' 20th anniversary, and to celebrate, fans will soon be able to meet their favourite characters as BRICKLIVE in partnership with Nickelodeon hosts a brand-new SpongeBob SquarePants exhibit!


Launching early 2020, the SpongeBob SquarePants BRICKLIVE exhibit will feature displays made up of brightly coloured bricks, showcasing some of the programme's most beloved characters, including SpongeBob, his neighbour Patrick Star, and grumpy neighbour/Krusty Krab co-worker Squidward Tentacles.

The SpongeBob SquarePants BRICKLIVE exhibit, part of BRICKLIVE’s 5 year agreement with Nickelodeon to produce toy brick characters from Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.’s favourite hit TV shows, will visit a variety of shopping centres and attractions across the U.K.

The news follows Live Company Group plc extending its agreement with Nickelodeon to expand the territories in which the Group can produce and exhibit themed tours associated with the Nickelodeon brand, including Nick Jr., to cover all countries globally (excluding the United States of America, including Puerto Rico).

The Group will continue to have the rights, through to the end of 2024, to produce and create themed tours associated with certain Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. properties, including PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants and Top Wing, in return for a royalty fee based on the revenues of the themed tours.

Nickelodeon and BRICKLIVE launched their partnership with a PAW Patrol exhibit during summer 2019.

SpongeBob SquarePants, which was recently greenlit for a 13th season, has reigned as the number-one kids’ animated series on TV for the last 17 years, while generating a universe of beloved characters, pop culture catchphrases and memes, theatrical releases, consumer products, a Tony award-winning Broadway musical which is now touring North America and a global fan base. SpongeBob SquarePants is seen in more than 208 countries and territories, translated in 55+ languages, and averages more than 100 million total viewers every quarter. SpongeBob SquarePants is created by Stephen Hillenburg and produced by Nickelodeon in Burbank, Calif.

Nickelodeon's is currently in the midst of the network's "Best Year Ever", a year-long global celebration of one of the most iconic TV series and characters ever created. The “Best Year Ever” launched with the premiere of “SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout,” an original mixed live-action and animated special earlier this summer, and leads up to the Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies theatrical, The SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge, coming May 2020.

A CG-animated prequel spin-off series, Kamp Koral, following 10-year-old SpongeBob SquarePants during his summer at sleepaway camp, is also slated to premiere during August 2020 on Nicktoons UK.

THQ Nordic and Nickelodeon are slated to release SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, a remake of the much-loved video game, very soon.

With 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' #101 starting a new era, here's looking back at IDW's first 100 issues

It all started in 1984 when TMNT was first published by Mirage Comics and it then garnered mainstream success, especially after the 1987 animated series

The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' franchise is going through some major changes.

Issue #101 will see the turtles pick up pieces of their lives after a war for the city of New York, and the sacrifice of their father, Master Splinter. They even have a new turtle on their team — the mutated ninja warrior, Jennika. Written and drawn by Sophie Campbell, the issue will be the first in a new era of TMNT comics that began in 2011. Before the new series releases, let's look back at the 100-issue run that brought us here.

Created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in 1984, the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' was first published by Mirage Comics in 1984, largely conceived as a 'Daredevil' parody. They proved popular enough to garner mainstream success, especially after the 1987 animated series and the vast amount of merchandise that was made available. The comic book adventures of the turtles continued in one form or another, bouncing from company to company.

In 2009, Nickelodeon purchased the rights to the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' for $60 million, and the TV channel continues to produce animated series with the property today, currently producing 'Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'.

More importantly, in 2001, they teamed up with IDW Publishing to produce a new comic book series. It would have Tom Waltz as the head writer and Bobby Curnow as editor. One of the big draws for the comic is that co-creator Kevin Eastman would also be involved. Kevin Eastman had sold his shares in the 'TMNT' franchise to Peter Laird in the 90s, and at that point hadn't had anything big to do with the turtles for over a decade.

In an interview with Patrick Ehiers (included as back-up material to the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' issues leading up to #100), Kevin Eastman talks about what it was like coming back to the comic. "Red flags popped up, like the reincarnation angle, that scared me," Eastman said. "But they scared me in a really exciting way."

The reincarnation angle he refers to is a part of the rebooted comic, which retells the origins of the TMNT in a way that blends science and mysticism. The updated origin explains that the turtles are the reincarnated spirits of a family from feudal Japan. They are the four sons of a ninja warrior named Hamato Yoshi, who is reincarnated as Splinter, the rat. Hamato Yoshi was betrayed by his friend, Oroku Saki, the man who would go on to become the Shredder.

This new origin added a sense of myth and magic to what was a gritty, sci-fi series previously. The main success of the rebooted series, though, was its grounded focus on family.

In the interview with Ehiers, co-writer Tom Waltz spoke about the heart of the new series. "People will ask me what the secret to writing something like this is," he said, "and my answer is always, 'Have you ever been in a sword fight? Have you ever fought a criminal in an alley with nunchucks?' Most people will say no. And I’ll say, 'Do you ever argue with your brother? You ever have problems with your mom and dad?' That’s the most important part of the story."

The turtles' origins weren't the only things to receive an update. Iconic TMNT characters would receive their own updates, to better fit into the story. April O'Neil is the most notable example, being written as a scientist who worked in the lab that altered the turtles. She was written to be more intelligent and capable, instead of a damsel in distress. The comic also introduced new characters who have become an essential part of TMNT lore, such as Old Hob, Alopex, and Harold Lilja.

Comics are no stranger to expanded universes, but what set 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' apart was how tight its worldbuilding was. Most comic universes tend to grow more unwieldy the larger they grow, but the TMNT world was grown slowly, and with a definite plan in mind.

Micro-series were introduced — the first few focusing on each individual turtle, and then on other allies of theirs. In the second year, as new villains were introduced to the series, villain micro-series would cover their origins so as not to interrupt the pacing of the main book. There continued to be miniseries, but they were all limited runs that served the main story being told in 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles', weaving together a larger story being told on both a street-level and on a cosmic scale.

The series went beyond just the turtles' fights against the Foot Clan, and brought them up against other mutants, scientific experiments, war with an interdimensional alien warlord, and even a pantheon of celestial beings. There were even two canon crossovers with the Ghostbusters — all fit neatly within the larger story being told.

One of the most notable miniseries that illustrated the depth and scale of the new mythos the series created was 'The Secret History of the Foot Clan'.

It's revealed that classic TMNT foe Krang and the Utrom Empire, as well as the Pantheon, have been setting their plans in motions for centuries. They all have their roles to play in the origins of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael, in ways that continue to play out through the main series. The one spin-off series was titled 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe' and it etched out the series much in the way the micro-series did, only with a wider focus.

Issue #100 brought a lot of plot threads to a close, but it's not the end of the turtles' story by a long shot.

The reins have been handed over to Sophie Campbell, and thanks to the extraordinary work of the creators who've contributed to the TMNT universe, she has a rich, exciting legacy to be carrying forward. With new team members, and challenges both known and unknown ahead of them, here's hoping for another 100 issues of incredible storytelling.

It's Pony - New Show

Life is more exciting, fun, and unpredictable with a pony, as seen in Nickelodeon’s new original animated series It’s Pony, premiering Saturday, Jan. 18. The 20-episode series follows the comedic adventures of Annie and her best friend, who just so happens to be an enthusiastic, unpredictable, and carefree pony. Following its premiere, It’s Pony will continue to air Saturdays on Nickelodeon and will air internationally in April 2020.

The series stars Jessica DiCicco (Adventure Time) as Annie, an optimistic and determined farm girl living in the city with her family and best friend Pony; Josh Zuckerman (Strange Angel) as Pony, who is naïve and impulsive, but loves Annie more than anything; Abe Benrubi (E.R.) as Dad, who treats Pony as a nuisance, but recognizes the special bond he shares with Annie; and India de Beaufort (All Hail King Julien) as Mom, who loves Annie and Pony’s relationship and always has a new project in the works.

Additional cast members bringing characters to life include: Kal Penn (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle) as Annie’s friend Fred; Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live) as Annie’s friend Brian; Rosario Dawson (Rent) as Annie’s school principal Ms. Ramiro; Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains) as the landlord Mr. Pancks; Megan Hilty (Smash) as the too-obsessed-with-Pony friend Beatrice; Yvette Nicole Brown (Drake & Josh) as Mrs. Dunscomb; Grey Griffin (Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, The Loud House) as Henrietta; John DiMaggio (Sanjay and Craig, The Loud House, Futurama, Adventure Time) as Dave the Sewer Worker and Tomatopalooza Judge; and Dee Bradley Baker (SpongeBob SquarePants, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Avatar: The Last Airbender) as Dog.

Throughout the season, the series will explore the everyday life and hijinks of two best friends whose optimism and enthusiasm turn any situation from ordinary to extraordinary. Whether making an epic quest down the street to mail a letter, heroically saving the local playground with a bake sale, or simply getting a haircut, Pony and Annie always stick together because life is better as a pair.

The Crystal Maze - New Game Show

Comedian/writer Adam Conover is the new host of Nickelodeon’s upcoming family game show, The Crystal Maze, an all-new version of the legendary UK hit series, premiering Friday, Jan. 24, at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The Crystal Maze will feature Conover as the Maze Master, charged with guiding one family team through physical and mental challenges set within an elaborate labyrinth of four giant and immersive themed zones: Aztec, Eastern, Futuristic and Industrial.

The premiere episode of The Crystal Maze will feature a family from Houston, Texas, tackling a range of challenges in the maze for the first time ever for U.S. audiences. This season will feature families from: Scottsdale, Ariz; Lake Forest, Calif; Eastvale, Calif ; St. Augustine, Fla; Windemere, Fla; Chester, Va; Germantown, Tenn; Carollton, Texas; and Wheaton, Ill.

In each episode, the youngest family member takes on the role of team Captain. The successful completion of escape-room style challenges are rewarded with a “time crystal” granting the family five seconds in the centerpiece final zone called the Crystal Dome. The more crystals gathered throughout the game, the more time each family has for a dramatic clock countdown challenge inside the iconic Dome for a chance to win up to $25,000.

A current ratings smash in the UK, The Crystal Maze has been a beloved family and cult favorite since the mid ‘90s, with the current global popularity of the escape room phenomena reigniting interest further. The show was recently rebooted to great success with celebrity, charity and family seasons in UK, Australia and beyond.

Production on the new series (10 one-hour episodes) took place on the show's original set located at The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol, England, earlier this summer.

Devised by Jacques Antoine, the UK version of The Crystal Maze was originally hosted by Richard O'Brien (Rocky Horror), followed by Ed Tudor-Pole. The reboot was originally presented by Stephen Merchant (for Stand Up To Cancer), and currently by Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd, Travel Man) with his "hand." The show's theme song is the legendary "Force Field", below. The show is currently filmed at The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol.

The Adventures of Paddington - New Show

Preschoolers will journey across the pond to London for heartwarming adventures with beloved British bear Paddington in Nickelodeon’s brand-new CG-animated series The Adventures of Paddington. Premiering in the U.S. on Monday, Jan. 20, at 12:30 p.m. (ET/PT), The Adventures of Paddington (26 episodes) centers on a younger Paddington as he writes letters to Aunt Lucy celebrating the new things he has discovered through the day’s exciting activities. Following its U.S. launch, The Adventures of Paddington will roll out on the net’s international channels and branded blocks beginning March 2020.

Just Jordan stars stand-up comedian Lil' JJ as Jordan Lewis, a teen who has moved to Los Angeles from Little Rock. He has to work in his gruff grandfather's diner, and survive with a silly younger sister, a critical cousin, and his over-protective Mom who seems to know all his misdeeds before he even conceives of them.

The series originally aired on Nick USA from 2007-2008 as a part of the network's TEENick programming block lineup and ran for 30 episodes over two seasons.

Milan, January 8th 2020 – ViacomCBS Networks and satellite TV platform Sky Italy have announced a new multi-year deal to extend their collaboration in Italy.

According to the agreement signed by the two companies, Italian viewers of Paramount Network, Spike and VH1 will also be able to watch these channels on Sky. This will bring the number of ViacomCBS brands available on Sky platforms in Italy to 12, including local versions of MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Comedy Central and Italian kids’ channel Super!.

ViacomCBS Networks Italia (then named Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Italia) fully acquired the free-to-air kids TV channel Super! from De Agostini Editore in October. Super! focuses on children ages four to 14, and features a catalogue of local and international content. The channel is fully operated by ViacomCBS Italia.

ViacomCBS and Sky Media also agreed a commercial deal in which ViacomCBS channels and digital advertising in Italy will be entirely sold by Sky Media effective from Sunday 2nd February 2020.

The agreements build on a long-standing and successful relationship between ViacomCBS and Sky across Europe, with Sky distributing and selling advertising across ViacomCBS’ portfolio of channels in the UK for the past decade.

Raffaele Annecchino, President, ViacomCBS Networks Southern & Western Europe, Middle East and Africa, commented: “With Sky as our main distributor and ad sales partner, we can sustain our strong position in the Italian market in the long-term and deliver additional benefits for our viewers and advertisers, including content synergies and wider distribution across multiple platforms. Our new commercial agreement with Sky Media represents an opportunity to effectively support our business and brands over the next years in Italy, which remains one of the most important and valuable markets in which we operate”.

Giovanni Ciarlariello, Chief Media Digital & Data Officer Sky Italia: “This strengthened deal with ViacomCBS Networks will give even more investment opportunities to our customers and confirms Sky Media’s role as a key player in the market as well as the high quality of its innovative services”.

Following the initial announcement that Viacom was to re-merge with CBS, a number of announcements have been made regarding the merged company’s leadership team. Former Mattel executive Venetia Davie recently joined ViacomCBS Consumer Products as VP of UK and Ireland, while Stefanie Schwartz was upped to EVP and GM of Viacom Digital Studios (VDS). Schwartz is replacing current president Kelly Day, who is in talks for another senior role at ViacomCBS.

CBS and Viacom completed their merger on Wednesday 4th December 2019, becoming ViacomCBS.

GLAAD, the world’s largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization, has announced the very exciting news that Nickelodeon has received three nominations in the "Outstanding Kids & Family Programming" category of the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards! The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community and the issues that affect their lives.


Nickelodeon's hit animated series The Loud House has been nominated for for featuring accurate and inclusive representations of the gay and bisexual communities. The series currently features four LGBTQ+ characters: Lincoln's best friend, Clyde McBride has two fathers, Harold and Howard; and Lincoln's sister, Luna, and her crush, Sam, are bi-sexual.


Nickelodeon's popular animated preschool series Nella the Princess Knight has garnered a nomination for the episode “A Tale of Two Nellas”. In the episode, which premiered on Sunday, October 20, 2019, when Gork dresses as Nella for a costume party, a tricky villain mistakes him for the real princess knight.


And Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling (lead image), the Nickelodeon Original Movie which picks up where the original '90s Rocko's Modern Life series left off, with Rocko, Heffer and Filburt having been lost in outer space since 1996. The special is celebrated for featuring a prominent transgender character named Rachel. When the gang blasts back to earth, they have to get to grips 21st century modern life, and soon discover that Ralph Bighead, the child of Mr. and Mrs. Bighead and creator of their favorite TV show The Fatheads, is now a woman named Rachel. The movie debuted on Netflix in August 2019. The production team worked closely with GLAAD to make the storytelling as authentic and knowledgeable as possible.

Additionally, the Arthur episode "Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone", in which Mr. Ratburn comes out as being homosexual and getting married, is also nominated in "Outstanding Kids & Family Programming" category of the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards!


This year, GLAAD is expanding it's "Outstanding Kids & Family Programming" category to ten nominees as a result of an increase in LGBTQ images across the kids and family television programming and an increase in GLAAD’s work to advocate for inclusion in this genre. Rounding out GLAAD's "Outstanding Kids & Family Programming" category are: Andi Mack (Disney Channel); Danger & Eggs for the episode "Chosen Family" (Amazon); Doc McStuffins for the episode "The Emergency Plan" (Disney Channel); and Steven Universe (Cartoon Network).

Nickelodeon, TEG Life Like Touring and VStar Entertainment Group today announced that the hugely popular PAW Patrol Live! “Race to the Rescue” will be returning to the U.K. and Ireland in July and August 2020! Based on the hit animated TV series on Nick Jr. produced by Spin Master, PAW Patrol Live! “Race to the Rescue” brings everybody’s favourite pups back to the stage for an action-packed, high-energy, musical adventure where they come to the rescue when Mayor Goodway goes missing during the day of the Great Adventure Bay Race.

Following its sold-out inaugural tour of the UK and Ireland in 2017, PAW Patrol Live! "Race to the Rescue" will commence its 2020 tour in Newcastle on Sunday 5th July 2020, before making its way to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Dublin, Cardiff, Brighton, Birmingham, London, Bournemouth, Belfast and Liverpool, before concluding in Llandudno on Saturday 31st August 2020. There will be limited performances per city.

The show includes two acts and an intermission and incorporates an innovative costume approach that brings the pups to life on stage with their vehicles and packs during the all-important rescue mission. The performance features up-tempo music and a written script, a good introduction to live theatre for young children. Classic theatrical scenery along with a high-tech video wall visually transports families to popular locations from the TV series, like Adventure Bay, The Lookout, Seal Island, Farmer Yumi’s Farm and Jake’s Mountain. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 was first released on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, followed by Part 2 on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Part 3 will be released on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, and Part 4 on Wednesday, March, 2020. Part 5, the final issue of the mini-series, is expected to arrive in April 2020.

FIRST IMPRESSION
MMPR/TMNT #2 improves every aspect of its first issue while making for a fun read. All of those nights of playing with each franchises toys making your own crossover has finally paid off in a bombastic comic.

It may be 2020, but the ’90s were such a great time people can’t let it go, this rings true with BOOM! Studios (in partnership with IDW and Nickelodeon) Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #2 where lovers of both respected franchises get the chance to relive his or her action figure crossovers.

TALE WITH ATTITUDE
Akin to their respective TV series, MMPR/TMNT #2 is fast-paced with barely any slow down, yet, it never swerves into break-neck speed. Instead, the second issue (of five) is able to give a fair amount of new information effectively. While keeping some revelations in its pocket. Writer Ryan Parrott is able to achieve a great feat of making each conversation fun while being informative and important to the plot/characters. When the Turtles and Power Rangers interact, they stay true to their characters and play off of each other perfectly. The aforementioned excellent character interaction happens anytime the teams are on the page together, but hits exceedingly harder during an action moment.

During one fight scene, there is a conversation I’d like to note. Not due to what it’s about (pizza), but because of how Parrott wrote it. As the fight with the two teams and Foot Clan rage on, each member teams up with another from the other team to fight the clan. During this, the pairs of fighters banter back and forth to the reader’s great enjoyment. But, when Parrott jumps from one pair to another, we join them in the middle of a conversation, instead of the very beginning. This may not seem like much, but this joining in makes the scene feel real. This technique makes the fight feel as if everyone is having conversations we can’t hear (read).

MMPR/TMNT #2 reveals the reason why Green Power Ranger, Tommy Oliver, has joined the Foot Clan. At first, some readers may think it’s awkward writing, yet it’s entirely in line with how he is. This furthers the point of Parrott understanding what these characters are fundamentally about.

LEAN GREEN NINJA ART TEAM
Simone Di Meo continues the high energy art seen in MMPR/TMNT #1 into the second issue with assistance from Alessio Zonno. Each fight scene packs in a beautiful fluidity that feels like animation cells coming together for a cartoon. During the fights, the duo exaggerates some actions/movements, but it never looks weird or overdone. Instead, these exaggerations help make the battles feel alive with static energy, precisely what you’d expect from both franchises. Yet, the beautiful art isn’t limited to just action moments. When the story calls for the few slow-paced character moments, they literally break the panels.

The art duo makes sure that when characters are talking during non-action scenes, the panel they adorn is layered upon the others to make them pop. Another element that pops is the gorgeous colors by Walter Baiamonte with assistance from Igor Monti. During some scenes in MMPR/TMNT #1, the colors are too bright, which causes problems. But in MMPR/TMNT #2, this blight never occurs. Instead, the colors are vibrant and jazzy as they should be.

One of the best moments of color usage is a more subdued one. When the Power Rangers unmask, instead of making it take a large panel or some big ordeal, the team makes it a smaller moment with minimalist motions. In this scene (shown above), when the masks deform – for a better word – it’s shown with a few colored shapes coming off their heads. It’s simple, yet one of the coolest moments in MMPR/TMNT #2.

In the previous issue, Ed Dukeshire’s lettering was a highlight with a mood mirroring the show while helping MMPR/TMNT #1 pop more. Dukeshire’s amazing lettering returns in MMPR/TMNT #2. Per usual, Dukeshire makes sure none of the letters obscure the are while helping the viewer’s eyes. On top of that great skill, he changes the format for words in a few cases that make said moment stand out more.

CONCLUSION
MMPR/TMNT started with a solid issue that had a few minor hiccups. With the second issue, all of these blemishes have vanished, leaving a comic book that warrants a read if you’re a fan of either story. Even if you’re not a fan, the creative work inside is with your time.

Fondo de Bikini prepara una maratón antes de Navidad

Nickelodeon continúa celebrando el 20 aniversario de Bob Esponja con un maratón imperdible este fin de semana.

El canal emitirá seis de los mejores episodios del programa este sábado 21, así que tendremos una Navidad anticipada. La fiesta comenzará a partir de las 19 en México, Brasil y Colombia, a las 20 en Venezuela, 21 en Chile y 18 en Argentina.

Esta Navidad Amarilla que disfrutaremos con Bob y sus amigos en Fondo de Bikini será otro de los tantos homenajes y especiales que tuvimos en 2019 gracias al cumpleaños número 20 de la serie. Entre ellos estuvo una nueva líneas de snickers de la mano de Kyrie Irving, una mega maratón el día de su aniversario y el anuncio de un spinoff, entre otras cosas.

A Nickelodeon acaba de anunciar a pré-estreia de LEGO City Adventures: um passeio superdivertido que retrata momentos engraçados e as aventuras mais absurdas e especiais do dia a dia dos moradores dessa comunidade. Lego City vai ao ar domingo, dia 22 de dezembro, às 16h55.

LEGO City Adventures retrata a vida dos heróis da cidade, enquanto trabalham juntos para impedir um misterioso mestre criminoso que começa a causar estragos. No episódio de pré-estreia, uma ação promocional para lançamento de um filme dá errado e soltar um enorme balão pela cidade. Na sequência, o chefe dos bombeiros McCloud, acidentalmente, compra um chapeú com defeito para seu sobrinho e a confusão está armada. Nickelodeon is preparing for the return of The Midnight Society with the all-new Are You Afraid of the Dark? three-part limited series event. Based on the ‘90s kids’ cult classic, and reimagined for a new generation, part one of Are You Afraid of the Dark? will debut on Nickelodeon Netherlands (Nederland) on Saturday 18th January 2020, with parts two and three to follow Saturday 25th January 2020 and Saturday 1st February 2020, respectively. It's currently unknown whether the series will also air on Nickelodeon Flanders and Nickelodeon Wallonia.

Across the three hour-long episodes, Are You Afraid of the Dark? will follow members of an entirely new Midnight Society, who tell a terrifying tale of the Carnival of Doom and its evil ringmaster Mr. Tophat, only to witness the shocking story come frightfully to life, taking them on a adventure beyond their wildest nightmares.

In Part One, "Submitted For Approval", tormented by nightmares, the new girl in school feels and out of place until a mysterious group invites her to join. All she has to do is tell a truly terrifying story.

In Part Two, "Opening Night", when a friend's disappearance seems to be linked to Rachel's story, the Midnight Society decides to attend the Carnival of Doom. Is it the same carnival from her nightmares? How?

In Part Three, "Destroy All Tophats", with her friends' lives at stake, Rachel decides to take charge and end Mr. Tophat's reign of terror. Will the story have a happy ending, or is the Midnight Society doomed?


The new members of the Midnight Society are: Rachel, played by Lyliana Wray (Top Gun: Maverick); Gavin, played by Sam Ashe Arnold (Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever.); Akiko, played by Miya Cech (Rim of the World, Always Be My Maybe); Graham, played by Jeremy Taylor (IT: Chapter Two, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween); and Louise, played by Tamara Smart (Artemis Fowl, The Worst Witch). The Carnival of Doom’s ringmaster, Mr. Tophat, is played by Rafael Casal (Blindspotting).

Are You Afraid of the Dark? is produced by ACE Entertainment (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Perfect Date) with ACE founder Matt Kaplan and Spencer Berman serving as executive producers. The series is written by BenDavid Grabinski (Skiptrace, Happily) and directed by Dean Israelite (Power Rangers movie, Project Almanac), both of whom are also executive producers. Chris Foss is also an executive producer.

One of the Nickelodeon’s most iconic series from the ‘90s, the original Are You Afraid of the Dark? delivered riveting stories of horror to young audiences, all from a kid’s perspective. Are You Afraid of the Dark? is owned by DHX and was created by D.J. MacHale and Ned Kandel, who are also executive producers on the project.

Are You Afraid of the Dark? made its world premiere on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Friday, Oct. 11, at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT), as part of the network's Halloween programming highlights.

GEEN ALCOHOLRECLAME IN 2020 OP TWEE TV-ZENDERS VOOR JONGEREN

Nickelodeon en Disney Channel mogen in 2020 geen alcoholreclames tonen omdat ze zijn aangemerkt als jongerenzender. Stichting Verantwoorde Alcoholconsumptie (STIVA) heeft laten vaststellen welke radio- en televisiezenders op basis van de kijk- en luistercijfers zijn aan te merken als jongerenzender. Voor het komende jaar zijn de televisiezenders Nickelodeon en Disney Channel uitgesloten van alcoholreclame. Geen enkele radiozender is aan te merken als jongerenzender. Dit meldt STIVA.
In het Nationaal Preventieakkoord zijn afspraken gemaakt om problematisch alcoholgebruik tegen te gaan. STIVA steunt de keuze om problematisch alcoholgebruik in samenwerking aan te pakken en draagt actief bij aan het behalen van de doelstellingen die zijn geformuleerd. Niet adverteren op zenders waar veel jongeren naar kijken en luisteren past daarbij.

OOK ONLINE EN SOCIAL MEDIA
Uit de cijfers blijkt dat de gemiddelde leeftijd van kijkers en luisteraars steeds verder opschuift. De Wolf: “Het is bekend dat jongeren steeds minder tv kijken en radio luisteren. Daarom vinden we het belangrijk om naast de kijk- en luistercijfers van het lineaire televisie- en radioaanbod, ook te kijken naar wat er online en op social media gebeurt. Ook daar zijn we in het kader van het Nationaal Preventieakkoord commitments aangegaan. Bijvoorbeeld door ervoor te zorgen dat jongeren op social media helemaal geen alcoholreclame meer te zien krijgen”.

GEEN ALCOHOLRECLAME VOOR 21.00 UUR
Voor 21.00 uur mag helemaal geen alcoholreclame worden uitgezonden. Daarnaast mag reclame voor alcoholhoudende drank zich niet specifiek richten op minderjarigen. Dit geldt zowel voor de inhoud als de platforms waar de reclame wordt vertoond. Een jongerenzender is een zender waarvan gemiddeld meer dan 25 rpocent van het totale kijk- en luisterpubliek bestaat uit minderjarigen. Voor de vaststelling van het percentage minderjarigen in het kijk- en luisterpubliek wordt uitgegaan van het gewogen gemiddelde van de kijk- of luistercijfers, afgezet tegen het gehele programma- aanbod van een zender.

Voor alle overige televisie- en radiozenders geldt dat reclame voor alcoholhoudende drank niet mag worden uitgezonden op radio en televisie direct voorafgaand aan, of tijdens, of direct volgend op programma’s die volgens algemeen in de markt geaccepteerde luister- of kijkcijfers voor meer dan 25 procent worden gehoord respectievelijk bekeken door minderjarigen.
