Asmodee UK to Distribute Topps Collectibles; to Include New SpongeBob SquarePants Range

Asmodee UK will be distributing the full range of Topps collectibles, including Match Attax, Star Wars, WWE Slam Attax, and a new range of SpongeBob SquarePants collectables!


Topps, the preeminent creator and brand marketer of physical and digital sports cards, entertainment cards and collectibles, and distinctive confectionery products, has announced that it has partnered with Asmodee UK, an established distributor of games, collectibles and toys both domestically and across Europe, to deliver its popular range of collectibles to retail.

Topps has always held Asmodee UK (formerly Esdevium Games) in high regard and developing this relationship is an exciting proposition to all involved. Steve Conner, UK sales director, said: “We could not be happier with the relationship we have with Asmodee. This partnership will open up retail possibilities for both parties and with Asmodee’s strong sales force and commercial focus in toy retail, it’s a winning formula.”

Cooperation between Asmodee and Topps’ marketing and sales team will mean that retailers can expect even more exciting marketing and promotional activations. The first of these will be seen at London Toy Fair in January, with staff from both Asmodee and Topps present at the stand to talk about the new Topps range for 2020.

Asmodee UK will be distributing the full range of Topps collectibles, including Match Attax, Star Wars, WWE Slam Attax and new collections for SpongeBob SquarePants, Trolls, Minions and I Love Sloths figurines.

Topps previously partnered with Nickelodeon to release a SpongeBob SquarePants trading cards in the noughties. It's currently unknown what the company's newest SpongeBob SquarePants range will feature.

A CG-animated prequel spin-off series, Kamp Koral, following 10-year-old SpongeBob SquarePants during his summer at sleepaway camp, is also slated to premiere during Summer 2020.

THQ Nordic and Nickelodeon are slated to release SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, a remake of the much-loved video game, very soon.

PAW Patrol's Marshall and Skye Accompanied by FLW Fishing Legend Charlie Evans to Join First Ever 17th Annual World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade

Hot Springs, Arkansas - FLW fishing legend Charlie Evans, accompanied by Marshall and Skye from Nickelodeon's beloved preschool series PAW Patrol, will join the First Ever 17th Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Hot Springs on Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

“Charlie and the PAW Patrol characters will appeal to adults and kids alike in this year’s parade,” said Steve Arrison, CEO of Visit Hot Springs and one of the founders of the internationally famous parade.

"We've sponsored Charlie (Evans) for many years and he is sponsored by PAW Patrol," Arrison added. "We've always wanted Charlie in the parade. He's been a long-term fisherman, he's well known, he has a fishing background and we're a fishing community," adding that they are excited to have these new additions and to see two PAW Patrol characters in costume on Bridge Street at the parade on March 17.

A competitive angler since 1971, Evans is the former FLW Outdoors president and CEO. In addition to his other roles at FLW Outdoors, Evans hosted the FLW Outdoors television show on Versus Country.

After leaving FLW Outdoors in 2010 Evans started his second career as a professional angler. Evans was inducted into the Freshwater Hall of Fame in 2013.

His Bass Pro Shops/PAW Patrol tournament rig, which will be in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, is the most photographed boat and tow vehicle in the history of the sport.

PAW Patrol is an CG-animated preschool series that premiered on Nickelodeon in the United States in 2013. The series focuses on a young boy named Ryder who leads a crew of search-and-rescue dogs that call themselves the PAW Patrol. They work together on missions to protect the shoreside community of Adventure Bay.

Each dog has a specific set of skills based on emergency services professions, such as a firefighter, police officer and aviation pilot. They all reside in doghouses that transform into customized vehicles for their missions. They are also equipped with backpacks called "pup packs" that contain tools that relate to the pups' jobs.

The show and its associated products have received a variety of awards and nominations from associations such as the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in the United States.

Evans and the two PAW Patrol characters will join legendary entertainers Cheech Marin (Ghostbusters II) and Danny (Machete) Trejo (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) for the world-famous 98-foot parade on Bridge Street, the shortest street in the world in everyday use.

The 2020 First Ever 17th Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade, will feature Marin, one half of the legendary comedy duo of Cheech and Chong, as the celebrity grand marshal and Trejo, who is widely known for his movie character, Machete, as the official starter.

Fredbird, the official mascot of baseball’s St. Louis Cardinals, also will entertain the crowd of spectators.

Free public music concerts will be held on the evenings of March 16 and March 17 at the parade stage at Bridge Street and Broadway. Blues Traveler will perform March 16 and Foghat will performs March 17 immediately after the parade, which begins at 6:30 p.m.

No chairs will be permitted at either concert.

The parade, which began in 2003, annually attracts crowds of upwards of 30,000 people to watch an insanely zany collection of Irish Elvis impersonators, green Irish wolfhounds, marching units such as Paddy O’Furniture, Irish belly dancers and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, as well as other unique units cover the 98-foot length of Bridge Street in the heart of downtown Hot Springs.

Jace Norman Shares Sneak Peek at 'Henry Danger' Series Finale with New BTS Video

Jace Norman is sharing a teaser for the upcoming final episodes of Henry Danger!


The 19-year-old actor uploaded a behind-the-scenes video late Saturday night (January 4) that shows a clip of him filming a scene.

In the clip, Jace can be seen holding on tight to some cables that appear to be on top of some kind of ship or submarine while in his Kid Danger costume. Eagle-eyed fans will notice that Kid Danger is only wearing half a mask in the scene!

Henry Danger returns with its final episodes airing Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) starting Saturday, January 11, 2020.

London - Preschoolers in the UK and Ireland are set for more heart-warming adventures with their favorite coat-clad bear, as Paddington returns to screens in the brand-new CG-animated series The Adventures of Paddington!

Airing on Nick Jr. UK & Ireland from Monday 2nd March 2020 at 4:30pm, The Adventures of Paddington centres on a younger Paddington as he writes letters to Aunt Lucy celebrating the new things he has discovered through the day’s exciting activities. The series is a Heyday Films and STUDIOCANAL production in association with Copyrights.

Actor Ben Whishaw (Paddington 1 & 2) reprises his role as the voice of the title character, alongside new cast members Morwenna Banks, Bobby Beynon, Sheena Bhattessa, Darren Boyd, Noel Clarke, Phyllis Logan, Monica Lopera, Sabrina Newton-Fisher, David Schofield, Reece Shearsmith (The League of Gentlemen, Inside No. 9), Liz Sutherland-Lim and Jeremiah Waysome.


The Adventures of Paddington will also feature a brand-new theme song “Paddington Bear” written and performed by one of Britain’s most successful musicians, Gary Barlow (Take That).


Leading up to the series' launch, viewers can grab some marmalade sandwiches and catch a preview of the series with Sky On Demand from Saturday 21st December 2019.

Following the series premiere of The Adventures of Paddington, NickJr.co.uk and the Nick Jr. Play App will feature special Paddington short-form content, activities and games, with the full-length episode to premiere on these services a week before the broadcast launch.

The Adventures of Paddington (52 X 11’) is directed by Adam Shaw and Chris Drew of Blue Zoo (Go Jetters, Digby Dragon, Miffy, Q Pootle 5), and developed for television and written by Jon Foster and James Lamont (The Amazing World of Gumball, Cuckoo, Paddington 1 & 2).

The series is executive produced by multi-award winner David Heyman (producer of all eight of the Harry Potter films, Paddington 1 & 2) and Rosie Alison (Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Paddington 1 & 2). The Adventures of Paddington is produced by Karen Davidsen (formerly with Disney and HIT Entertainment) and Simon Quinn (Isle of Dogs, Fantastic Mr. Fox), and co-produced by Rob Silva.


The Adventures of Paddingtonwill premiere on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Monday, Jan. 20, at 12:30 p.m. (ET/PT), following a special preview on Friday, Dec. 20, at 12:30 p.m. (ET/PT). Following its U.S. launch, The Adventures of Paddington will roll out on the net’s international channels and branded blocks beginning March 2020.

In the series premiere, “Paddington Finds a Hobby/Paddington and the Stamp,” Paddington doesn’t have a hobby, so Mrs. Brown helps him find out what he’s good at. Then, Paddington gets his arm stuck in a mailbox while sending a letter to Aunt Lucy.

Gary Barlow joins forces with Paddington Bear for mega British new series

Paddington Bear and Gary Barlow fans – you’re in luck. The pair have joined forces for a new series and it’s just adorable. The Take That star has written and performed an adorable song for the opening credits, with the sequence taking us and everyone’s favourite bear around London. And it’s an absolute bop. The sweet bear is seen snacking on marmalade sandwiches as he waits for a train in the clip, as well as dancing through the parks of London, and floating away past Big Ben for the new Nick Jr series, The Adventures of Paddington Bear.

Basically, he’s loving life in the big city and we’re very here for it.

Ben Whishaw is reprising his role as the adorable bear, with Peppa Pig’s Morwenna Banks, Spy’s Darren Boyd, Dr Who’s Noel Clarke, Downton Abbey’s Phyllis Logan, and The League Of Gentlemen’s Reece Shearsmith also featuring in the series. It’s a good thing fans are getting their Paddington fix as a third animated movie could be a while away yet. After uncertainty from Ben, it was revealed that a third installment is in the works after the success of the first two – but director Paul King won’t be on board.

‘Paul is involved in it, I wanted him to be involved in it because I think he’s such a significant voice, but I don’t think he’ll direct it,’ producer David Heyman told Collider. ‘He worked on the idea… he comes up with the idea with Simon Farnaby and Mark Burton and then they develop it and come back for more, back and forth, and then it’ll get written and Paul will come in and stir it up a little bit. But he’s an incredible collaborator, Paul. Very positive, very supportive.’

Hey, we’re never going to say no to more Paddington. The Adventures of Paddington Bear will be released in March 2020 on Nick Jr.

¡Nick Jr. se llena de diversión con la llegada el día de los Reyes Magos de Becca y su pandilla

Esta vez, el grupo de amigos más aventurero de la televisión tendrá que encontrar el regalo perfecto para el cumpleaños de la ardilla Russell y, por si fuera poco, llega el gran día de… ¡los Juegos de Bosquelandia!

En estos nuevos episodios, este grupo de amigos se enfrenta a un día muy lluvioso y, mientras que todos los animales están contentos, a la ardilla Russell no le gusta nada la idea de tener que quedarse en casa. Sin embargo, Becca tiene la solución perfecta para pasarlo bien: ¡contarles un cuento mágico! En otro momento, llega el gran día del desfile del Bosque de Wagtail y toda la pandilla se esfuerza para que su carroza de los Tres Cerditos sea todo un éxito pero, ¿lo conseguirán?

Otro día, el grupo de animales quiere celebrar Halloween por todo lo alto por lo que se embarcan en una súper gira misteriosa y espectacular por todas las casas de los wagtailerianos. Y, si hay algo que les encanta a estos amigos es vivir increíbles misiones como cultivar una calabaza gigante para presentarla en el concurso del festival de la cosecha. Sin embargo, las cosas no salen como ellos creían porque no son capaces de transportarla, ¿qué plan se les ocurrirá para poder llevarla hasta el lugar?

Otra cosa que les encanta a Becca y su pandilla es jugar y, esta vez, es Sylvia quien se encarga de organizar los Juegos de Bosquelandia, pero ocurre algo espantoso y es que… ¡se le olvida inscribirse en las pruebas! En otro momento, todos los amigos se embarcan en la increíble aventura de buscar al visitante alienígena que se ha estrellado en el bosque, ¿serán capaces de encontrarle y reconocerle?

¡Esto no es todo! Se acerca el cumpleaños de Russell y a la ardillita se le ocurre pedir como regalo la nuez más grande del Bosque de Wagtail, así que la pandilla tiene que intentar encontrarla lo antes posible. Además, otro día, los vecinos del bosque descubren que Wagtail ha entrado en el concurso del Vecinbosque del Año, y Becca se pone manos a la obra para mostrar su lado más serio con el objetivo de ganar cueste lo que cueste, ¿conseguirán el premio al mejor bosque del año?

Preschoolers will journey across the pond to London for heartwarming adventures with beloved British bear Paddington in Nickelodeon’s brand-new CG-animated series The Adventures of Paddington. Premiering in the U.S. on Monday, Jan. 20, at 10:30 a.m. (ET/PT), The Adventures of Paddington (26 episodes) centers on a younger Paddington as he writes letters to Aunt Lucy celebrating the new things he has discovered through the day’s exciting activities.


Actor Ben Whishaw (Paddington 1 & 2) reprises his role as the voice of the title character, alongside new cast members Morwenna Banks, Bobby Beynon, Sheena Bhattessa, Darren Boyd, Noel Clarke, Phyllis Logan, Monica Lopera, Sabrina Newton-Fisher, David Schofield, Reece Shearsmith, Liz Sutherland-Lim and Jeremiah Waysome. The Adventures of Paddington will also feature a brand-new theme song “Paddington Bear” written and performed by one of Britain's most successful musicians, Gary Barlow (Take That).

In the Jan. 20 series premiere, “Paddington Finds a Hobby/Paddington and the Stamp,” Paddington doesn’t have a hobby, so Mrs. Brown helps him find out what he’s good at. Then, Paddington gets his arm stuck in a mailbox while sending a letter to Aunt Lucy.

Following the series premiere of The Adventures of Paddington,NickJr.com and the Nick Jr. App will feature short-form content and full-length episodes in the U.S. Episodes will also be available on Nick Jr. On Demand and Download-To-Own services in the U.S.

Following its U.S. launch, The Adventures of Paddington will roll out on the net’s international channels and branded blocks beginning March 2020, including on Nick Jr. UK & Ireland on Monday 2nd March 2020 at 4:30pm.

Buenos Aires, October 9th, 2019 - After five months of filming in Bogotá, Colombia, Viacom International Studios (VIS) and The Mediapro Studios have wrapped production for Noobees 2 (60 x 1 hr.), Nickelodeon Latin America’s hit gaming series.

Argentine actor Julián Cerati, Colombian influencer La Pereztroica, and Venezuelan actress Karlys Romero join original castmates - Mexican actors Michelle Olvera and Andrés de la Mora; Colombians María José Vargas and Pipe Arcila, and Brazilian actress Clara Tiezzi.

This season, audiences will follow Silvia (Michelle Olvera) and David (Andrés de la Mora) as a couple, oblivious to the fact that Gameover seeks revenge. Gameover’s sole mission is to take control of all players, conquer the real world and turn it into a video game. To execute he needs help from 2 Avatars (Athina and Rocco) he creates, but lies to them about his true intentions, offering them the opportunity to play the best game of their lives and enter the real world to mingle with humans. Do they find out his plan or does Gameover succeed in his takeover?

Noobees 2 is written by renowned Argentine screenwriter, Marcela Citterio whose works include tween favorites Chica Vampiro, Heidi and Nickelodeon Latin America’s Yo Soy Franky, among others. The series will premiere throughout Latin America, including Brazil, at the beginning of 2020 on Nickelodeon Latin America.

Set in the world of animals, 44 Cats follows the daily adventures of Lampo, Milady, Pilou and Meatball – four adorable kittens who are part of a music band named The Buffycats.

The protagonists live and play in the Clubhouse, a garage beside old Granny Pina’s house. Their adventures explore the themes of friendship and altruism: the four cats love helping others and always find creative solutions to everyday hitches and help other cats in need. The series promotes positive attitudes and conveys educational messages dealing with important themes such as tolerance, diversity and solidarity in a funny way.


44 Cats made its world debut on Rai Yoyo in Italy on Monday 12th November 2018. Nickelodeon International acquired the broadcast rights to the series in May 2018, and has been rolling the animated series out on Nickelodeon channels and branded blocks around the world, excluding Latin America, throughout 2019. The series was recently renewed for season two.

Season two of 44 Cats will contain 52 x 13-minute episodes, bringing the number of episodes of the series up to 104 x 13 minute episodes. The second season of 44 Cats is expected to be delivered soon.

'Are You Afraid of the Dark?' Receives Nomination in 72nd Annual Directors Guild of America Awards

The Directors Guild of America (DGA) has announced the exciting news that Dean Israelite has been nominated for the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Children’s Programs for 2019 award in the 72nd Annual DGA Awards for his directorial work on the first part of Nickelodeon's recent Are You Afraid of the Dark? revival, “Part One: Submitted for Your Approval”!


Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark? three-part limited series event reimagined the ‘90s kids’ cult classic, and saw the return of the Midnight Society.

Across the three hour-long episodes, Are You Afraid of the Dark? followed members of an entirely new Midnight Society, who told a terrifying tale of the Carnival of Doom and its evil ringmaster Mr. Tophat, only to witness the shocking story come frightfully to life, taking them on a adventure beyond their wildest nightmares.

In Part One, "Submitted For Approval", tormented by nightmares, the new girl in school feels and out of place until a mysterious group invites her to join. All she has to do is tell a truly terrifying story.

In Part Two, "Opening Night", when a friend's disappearance seems to be linked to Rachel's story, the Midnight Society decides to attend the Carnival of Doom. Is it the same carnival from her nightmares? How?

In Part Three, "Destroy All Tophats", with her friends' lives at stake, Rachel decides to take charge and end Mr. Tophat's reign of terror. Will the story have a happy ending, or is the Midnight Society doomed?

The new members of the Midnight Society are: Rachel, played by Lyliana Wray (Top Gun: Maverick); Gavin, played by Sam Ashe Arnold (Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever.); Akiko, played by Miya Cech (Rim of the World, Always Be My Maybe); Graham, played by Jeremy Taylor (IT: Chapter Two, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween); and Louise, played by Tamara Smart (Artemis Fowl, The Worst Witch). The Carnival of Doom’s ringmaster, Mr. Tophat, is played by Rafael Casal (Blindspotting).

Are You Afraid of the Dark? is produced by ACE Entertainment (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Perfect Date) with ACE founder Matt Kaplan and Spencer Berman serving as executive producers. The series is written by BenDavid Grabinski (Skiptrace, Happily) and directed by Dean Israelite (Power Rangers movie, Project Almanac), both of whom are also executive producers. Chris Foss is also an executive producer.

One of the Nickelodeon’s most iconic series from the ‘90s, the original Are You Afraid of the Dark? delivered riveting stories of horror to young audiences, all from a kid’s perspective. Are You Afraid of the Dark? is owned by DHX and was created by D.J. MacHale and Ned Kandel, who are also executive producers on the project.

Are You Afraid of the Dark? made its world premiere on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Friday, Oct. 11, at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT), as part of the network's Halloween programming highlights.

All three parts of Are You Afraid of the Dark?ranked as the most co-viewed show on broadcast and TV each week, with 33% of Adults 18-49 watching with a Kid 6-11. It was the number-one live-action series on cable TV in all kids’ demos (2-11, 6-11 and tweens 9-14). And with an industry standard of shows targeting 6-11-year-olds experiencing roughly 20% lifts in L3 time shifted ratings compared to Live Same Day, Are You Afraid of the Dark? scored 35% lifts among Kids 6-11 and 36% overall with the Kids 2-11 demo in L3 versus LSD.

School is in Session at the Berlin School of Arts When 'Spotlight' Returns for Season 4 on Nickelodeon Germany, Austria and Switzerland

The summer holidays are once again drawing to a close, and a new school year is about to commence at the Berlin School of Arts, a school where regular subjects including maths, German and English, as well as artistic subjects such as singing, dancing and acting are on the curriculum, when Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland), Austria (Österreich) and Switzerland's (Schweiz) hugely popular locally produced cross-media daily TV series Spotlight returns for a fourth season on Sunday 15th September 2019, bringing with it new and familiar faces!

Update (25/11) - Nickelodeon Deutschland will air a special Spotlight TV movie over Friday 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th December 2019!


Joining the cast for Spotlight season four are new students Mads (Mike Leon Lichtenberg), Nele (Alexandra Herbst) and Sam (Jerome Weinert).

In Spotlight season four, numerous secrets ensure a true jumble of emotions: Rocco (Malcom Meckert) does not dare to stand by his feelings for Greta (Chiara Tews); with the help of Milan (Simon Zeller), new classmate Nele (Alexandra Herbst) tries to gain the self-confidence they need to shine in dance lessons; and a secretive competitor tries to grab Prank King Tim's (Moritz Schirdewahn) crown. Meanwhile, Emily (Nevena Schöneberg) launches the online channel "Insider" in which she becomes a rabid reporter to fight for student rights.

Season four will also see the Berlin School of Arts students travel to a completely new location when they head on vacation to an ultra-cool Creative Camp on the lake, where casual rapper Mads (Mike Leon Lichtenberg), new to the school, falls head over heels in Lotte (Jesina Amweg), and emotions run high for their classmates! The trip will also see crazy pranks and very special performances. The internationally successful twins Marcus & Martinus will be among the very special guest stars.

Meet the New Students

Enrolling at the Berlin School of Arts in season four are:

- Cool rapper Mads wants to become a successful musician, and, with his own tracks a star - but without giving up the credibility. He is played by Mike Leon Lichtenberg, a musician in real life who has already amassed more than 100,000 fans on his Instagram profile @mikeleon_.

- The shy Nele wants to prevail in her dream of dancing at the Berlin School of Arts and must fight for it. She is portrayed by newcomer Alexandra Herbst.

- With Sam, the school gets a new competitor for the title of Oberprankers. Sam wants to prove himself as a comedian and actor. The crazy joker is portrayed by Jerome Weinert.

In addition to new students, fans can also look forward to many prominent visits to the Berlin School of Arts. Among others, Max Giesinger, Iggi Kelly, actor and musician Daniel Donskoy, star choreographer Nikeata Thompson, singer Selina Mour, Good Times, Bad Times cult villain Wolfgang Bahro, Stefanie Heinzmann, TikTok-Star Dalia, and superstar twins Marcus & Martinus.


For all those who can't get enough of the series, the official "Nickelodeon’s Spotlight" magazine will be published for the first time on Wednesday 18th September 2019. In cooperation with Egmont Ehapa Media, "Nickelodeon’s Spotlight" magazine will bring fans lots of exclusive information and pictures from the set, as well as take a look behind the scenes and bring fans exclusive interviews directly from the set as well as exciting background information. The publication is rounded off with styling and vlogger tips, as well as tricky puzzles and funny tests. Each issue, available every six weeks, will also come with free gifts, such as autograph cards or accessories for mobile phones styled after the series. The magazine will begin with 60,000 copies printed. Issue #1 costs 3.99 euros.

A extensive Spotlight consumer products range also launches at the drugstore chain Müller just in time for the start of the new season. Backpacks, key rings, pens, blocks and pencil cases are just a few of the new products inspired by the series that fans can take home.

Also playing a key role in the new season of Spotlight are 13 new songs, which the talented cast will perform. The pieces, like the new signature song "Gutes Gefühl" ("Feel Good"), were written and produced by rapper and musician Fargo ("Nick, wenn du") especially for Spotlight.

Spotlight season four will launch with double episodes on Sunday 15th September 2019, airing at 19:50 and 20:00 Uhr on Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland) and at 19:55 and 20:05 Uhr on Nickelodeon Austria (Österreich) and Nickelodeon Switzerland (Schweiz). Following launch, new episodes will air everyday at 19:50 Uhr on Nickelodeon Deutschland and at 19:55 Uhr on Nickelodeon Österreich and Nickelodeon Schweiz. Each episode will also air on nick.de/spotlight.

Spotlight season four will feature 93 episodes and will be once again produced by UFA Serial Drama. Production on the fourth season of Spotlightcommenced in July 2019.

Like previous seasons, Spotlight season four will extend to digital, allowing fans to access further Spotlight material from their favourite characters on social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram (@SpotlightDeutsch) and TikTok.

September steht bei Spotlight wieder täglich um 19:50 Uhr Singen, Tanzen und Schauspielen auf dem Stundenplan. Nickelodeon teilt vorab erste Eindrücke von den brandneuen Folgen, den Gaststars und einen neuen Trailer.

Viele prominente Gesichter besuchen dieses Jahr die Berlin School of Arts. Die Spotlight-Darsteller bekommen in diesem Schuljahr Unterstützung u.a. von Max Giesinger, Stefanie Heinzmann, Iggi Kelly, Daniel Donskoy, Nikeata Thompson, Selina Mour, Wolfgang Bahro und TikTok-Star Dalia.

Ein Highlight der vierten Staffel: Dieses Jahr reisen die Spotlight-Schüler erstmals an einen ganz neuen Schauplatz – auf der Klassenfahrt ins Creative Camp am See erleben die Schüler Liebes-Wirrungen, verrückte Streiche und ganz besondere Auftritte. “Spotlight”: Egmont Ehapa startet sechswöchentliches Magazin zur Nickelodeon-Serie

Egmont Ehapa startet am 18. September ein neues Print-Magazin für 9- bis 14-Jährige. In "Spotlight" dreht sich alles um die gleichnamige TV-Serie, die seit 2016 bei nickelodeon läuft und drei Tage vor Magazin-Start in ihre vierte Staffel geht.

Egmont Ehapa kündigt die neue Zeitschrift als Fan-Magazin an, das “einen Blick hinter die Kulissen” wirft, “exklusive Interviews direkt vom Set sowie spannende Hintergrundinfos” liefert. “Das Konzept wird durch Styling- und Vlogger-Tipps sowie knifflige Rätselseiten und lustige Tests abgerundet.” Außerdem – wie bei Kinder-Zeitschriften üblich – liegen dem Heft Gimmicks bei: “Darunter beispielsweise exklusive Autogrammkarten oder Accessoires fürs Handy im Spotlight-Style”.

Die Auflage von “Spotlight” beträgt zum Start 60.000 Exemplare, es kostet 3,99 Euro. Erscheinen soll es alle sechs Wochen. Die Serie läuft seit dem 26. September bei nickelodeon in Deutschland, am 15. September, also drei Tage vor Start der Zeitschrift, startet die inzwischen vierte Staffel mit weiteren 93 Episoden. Viacom-Pläne: "Für jede Zielgruppe ein eigener Sender"

Bestehende Inhalte über neue Plattformen zugänglich machen ist für Viacom inzwischen ähnlich wichtig wie die Entwicklung neuer Programmideen. In Berlin lieferte der Konzern beim "Showcase 2019" einen Ausblick auf die kommenden Monate.

Dass die deutschen Fernsehzuschauer ihre Aufmerksamkeit zunehmend auf immer mehr kleinere Spartensender verteilen, kann Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) nur recht sein: Mit seinen drei Sendermarken MTV, Comedy Central und Nickelodeon verfügt der US-Konzern schließlich auch in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz über ein breites Portfolio an Programminhalten aus Comedy, Musik und für Kinder und Jugendliche. In Berlin hat VIMN am Dienstagabend beim „Viacom Showcase 2019“ einen kleinen Ausblick auf die Neuerungen der kommenden Wochen und Monate geliefert. Dabei standen Strategien, bestehende Inhalte über neue Plattformen zu verteilen und zugänglich machen, ähnlich stark im Fokus wie die Entwicklung eigener Programmideen.

Beim Flagschiff MTV – laut Viacom die „bekannteste globale Jugendmarke“ für „premium music related content“ – hält sich die Innovation zunächst aber stark in Grenzen: Gerade ist die zweite Staffel der Eigenproduktion „Yo! MTV Raps“ angelaufen; außerdem sind „MTV Unplugged“-Ausgaben mit Santiano und Max Raabe geplant. Das war’s aber im Wesentlichen schon.

Comedians auf Reisen

Für Comedy Central zog Wolfgang Til, Brand Director Comedy Central GSA (Germany, Switzerland, Austria), eine kurze Bilanz des vergangenen Dreivierteljahrs und freute sich, „zwölf Stunden Sendezeit im Free TV“ geschenkt bekommen zu haben (die Comedy Central durch die Einstellung von Viva Ende 2018 zugeschlagen bekam). Die nutzt man u.a., um Animationsserien wie „Rick & Morty“ und „Bojack Houseman“ zu zeigen (DWDL.de berichtete); außerdem hat Viacom den Sitcom-Klassiker „Modern Family“ zu sich geholt, zeigt derzeit die 9. Staffel als Free-TV-Premiere und hat Staffel 10 bereits fürs neue Jahr eingeplant. Am 18. Oktober stößt eine weitere Eigenproduktion zum Line-up: Für „Der Comedy-Roadtrip“ schickt der Sender das Trio Ingmar Stadelmann, Osan Yaran und Thomas Schmidt auf Reisen durch deutschsprachige Lande: in den Spreewald nach Brandenburg, Grindelwald in der Schweiz, nach Solingen, Hamburg und Wien. Dort treffen die Comedians auf ganz normale Bürger, die ihnen helfen sollen, die Besonderheiten der Region zu entdecken – und bedanken sich mit einem Stand-up-Auftritt. „Das ist auch ein Stück Gesellschaftsstudie“, beschrieb Stadelmann die Idee in Berlin – und ließ Schmidt das Konzept als „eine Mischung aus Schwachsinn und Leute kennenlernen“ differenzieren. Die Folgen laufen wöchentlich um 23 Uhr.

Kindersender Nickelodeon freut sich derweil über den wachsenden Zuspruch für seine Eigenproduktion „Spotlight“ über Teenager, die sich an der Berlin School of Arts im Singen, Tanzen und Schauspielern üben (und dabei ganz normale Teenager-Probleme bewältigen). Die am Sonntag anlaufende vierte Staffel umfasst 93 neue Folgen, für die der Cast um mehrere Protagonisten erweitert wurde – unter anderem „GZSZ“-Urgestein Wolfgang Bahro, der einen durchgeknallten Dichter spielt. Dazu gibt’s in Kooperation mit einer Drogeriemarktkette „Spotlight“-Merchandising-Produkte rund um die Schule und erstmals ein eigenes Magazin. Außerdem feiert Nick zu allen sich bietenden Gelegenheiten den 20. Geburtstag von Spongebob und veranstaltet am Wochenende eine Neuauflage des im vergangenen Genen jähr erstmals nach Deutschland geholten „Slimefest“.

Pluto TV mit eigenen Viacom-Channels
Vor allem scheint man sich bei VIMN aber darauf zu konzentrieren, für seine Programmmarken neue „Touchpoints“ zu schaffen – so wie Nick+, das über die Megathek der Telekom abrufbar ist, und Comedy Central+ sowie MTV+ bei Amazon Channels. Neu hinzu kommt myMTV Music, das als personaliserbarer Musikvideo-Streamingdienst mit einem Kooperationspartner in der Schweiz launchen soll, wie Michael Keidel, Vice President Content Distribution and Sales GSA, ankündigte.

Partner für seine so genannten „premium niche outlets“ muss sich Viacom aber nicht zwangsläufig extern suchen. Zu Beginn des Jahres hat der Konzern für 340 Millionen US-Dollar den Streaming-Anbieter Pluto TV übernommen, der Zuschauerinnen und Zuschauern eine werbefinanzierte Alternative zu Netflix und Prime Video anbietet. Dafür setzt der in den USA gestartete Dienst auf „Channels“, die wie klassisches Free TV programmiert werden und ihren Nutzern versprechen, sich nicht selbst konsumierbare Inhalte aus riesigen Katalogen heraussuchen zu müssen.

„Wir wollen für jede Zielgruppe einen eigenen Sender kreieren“, erklärte Olivier Jollet, Managing Director Europe von Pluto TV. In Deutschland sind derzeit 32 Channels abrufbar. Bei der Weiterentwicklung kann die neue Mutter kräftig helfen – und ihre eigenen Marken weiter differenzieren. Auf „MTV Pluto TV“ läuft ein Best-of von MTV, „MTV Dating“ bündelt – wie der Name schon sagt – sämtliche Dating-Shows der Gruppe, dazu wird mit Pop-up-Channels wie „MTV Teen Mom“, „MTV The Hills“ und „MTV The Stores“ experimentiert. Neu sind die ersten beiden Comedy-Central-Channels, ebenfalls mit einer Best-of-Variante und „CC Made in Germany“, wo ausschließlich deutsche Comedy-Produktionen laufen (DWDL.de berichtete). Jollet: „Bis Ende des Jahres wollen wir insgesamt 70 Sender live haben.“

Dann steht – aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach – in den USA auch die Fusion mit CBS an, die Viacom den Zugriff auf zahlreiche interessante Programmmarken und TV-Klassiker ermöglichen würde. Zuvor waren bereits mehrere Versuche, die beiden Konzerne wieder zusammenzuführen, gescheitert.

Korrektur: In der ursprünglichen Variante dieses Texts stand, es sei ein "MTV Unplugged" mit der Hip-Hop-Formation Die Orsons geplant. Das ist nicht der Fall. Die Orsons sind beim "Showcase" lediglich vor einem "MTV Unplugged"-Schriftzug aufgetreten. Dazu sind Comedy Central+ und MTV+ als Amazon Channels gestartet, nicht bei Apple TV.

Dalia Mya ist ein TikTok-Star. Sie ist aber auch in der Serie „Spotlight“ dabei.

Musik, Tanz und witzige Aktionen – das ist die Welt der Nickelodeon-Serie „Spotlight“. Sie begleitet eine Clique auf dem Weg zu Ruhm und Karriere. In der vierten Staffel ist TikTok-Star Dalia Mya dabei.

Im Interview erzählt die 17-Jährige, wie ihr die die Schule für junge Talente gefällt, um die es in der Serie geht.

Wie bist du zu „Spotlight“ gekommen?
Die Macher von Spotlight wurden auf meine Videos aufmerksam. Sie haben für die Serie eine Tänzerin gebraucht und gesehen, dass ich viele Tanzvideos mache. Es hat dann ganz schnell geklappt, ich konnte ohne Casting anfangen.

Du spielst die kreative Zoe. Gibt es Ähnlichkeiten zwischen euch?
Ich würde schon sagen, dass ich Zoe sehr ähnlich bin. Sie versteht sich mit allen und ist immer ganz lustig drauf. Mir gefällt an ihr, dass sie mit jedem klar kommt und immer hilfsbereit ist, auch zu Larissa, die in der Serie richtig gemein ist. Zoe ist immer nett, das finde ich gut an ihr.

Was ist das Besondere an der Berlin School of Arts?
Für mich ist das eine Traumschule! Man hat Tanz- und Gesangsunterricht und nicht nur Mathe, Deutsch und Englisch. Und die Lehrer sind auch cool drauf.
Was hat dir am Dreh gefallen?
Wir haben in der Filmuniversität in Babelsberg gedreht, die hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Ich hab mich auch mit dem ganzen Cast gut verstanden, wir haben ja sechs Wochen zusammen gedreht. Mein Highlight war das Sommercamp am Wannsee, das war wie eine Klassenfahrt. Es kamen auch Gäste wie Marcus und Martinus, die sind sehr sympathisch und sehr lieb.

Du bist auch Synchronsprecherin, hast zum Beispiel Mia in dem Film „Mia und der weiße Löwe“ gesprochen. Was macht dir mehr Spaß, Schauspielern oder Synchronisieren?
Es macht beides Spaß, aber das Schauspielern ist cooler, weil es ein ganz anderes Gefühl ist, wenn man am Set ist und um dich herum sind ganz viele Kameraleute. Im Synchronstudio ist man alleine, nur hinter der Scheibe sind Regisseur und Tonmeister. Mit anderen Leuten aufzutreten, macht mehr Spaß.

Du wirst ja im März 18, wie feierst du?
Das plane ich gerade, ich weiß noch nicht genau wo, aber es wird auf jeden Fall groß!

Blackpool Pleasure Beach tourism bosses have hinted the aweslime news that Nickelodeon UK's annual SLIMEFEST, a fun-packed family event that combines chart-topping musical acts with the opportunity for the audience to get drenched in green slime, will be returning to Blackpool for a fifth year in 2020! Please note that this news has yet to be confirmed by Nickelodeon UK & Ireland.


The news follows the tremendous success of Nickelodeon's fourth SLIMEFEST UK in October 2019, which, hosted by Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely from iconic dance group Diversity, saw amazing performances from headliners Raye and Scouting for Girls and resident acts Professor Green, Alice Chater, Diversity, Jess Folley, Max and Harvey, New Hope Club, Kira Kosarin (The Thundermans) and Road Trip.

SLIMEFEST 2019 - the slimiest yet - brought kids and families more SLIME, MUSIC and MAYHEM than ever across three sold out shows.


To date, over 100,000 people have attended related SLIMEFEST events across the globe in the US, Australia, Italy, U.K., Germany, Spain and Asia. Each event is packed full of top music acts, special guests, favourite Nickelodeon stars and most importantly, SLIME!

In the U.S., Nickelodeon star and YouTube sensation JoJo Siwa, breakout pop group Why Don’t We, Grammy® Award-nominated multiplatinum artist French Montana, and viral chart-topper Blanco Brown will take the stage at the third annual Nickelodeon SlimeFest, as the two-day family-friendly music festival makes its west coast debut on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, at the Forum in Inglewood, California, in conjunction with Kids' Choice Awards 2020.

Viacom Digital Studios Shakeup: Kelly Day Leaves Role as President; Stefanie Schwartz Takes Reins as GM

ViacomCBS has changed up the leadership of Viacom Digital Studios (VDS), Variety has learned: Kelly Day, who has served as VDS’s President since its inception over two years ago, is exiting the role. Stefanie Schwartz, a 20-plus year Viacom veteran has been named Executive Vice President (EVP) and General Manager (GM) of Viacom Digital Studios.

Day is in discussions about taking on another senior role at ViacomCBS, but at this point nothing has been finalized, according to sources familiar with the situation. A company representative declined to provide additional comment.

The executive changes, announced Monday in internal memos to staff, follows the closing of the merger of Viacom and CBS last month. In a reorganization, CBS Interactive president/CEO Marc DeBevoise is overseeing all digital operations at the combined company as chief digital officer, including VDS. At the time, it was announced that Day would report to DeBevoise.

Schwartz has been part of the VDS team since early 2018, shortly after Day joined in the fall of 2017 and the media conglomerate formed Viacom Digital Studios as a way to develop original digital programming and more quickly launch content that extended Viacom’s core brands including Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET and MTV.

Schwartz most recently served as EVP of strategy and operations for Viacom Digital Studios and digital partnerships at Viacom Media Networks. In the new role, she will lead the creation and expansion of original programming, derivative content and branded series across social platforms for ViacomCBS’ portfolio of global entertainment brands.

Prior to becoming part of the VDS team in February 2018, Schwartz was at Nickelodeon in a variety of roles, most recently as SVP, digital and business development. She earlier served in strategy and biz-dev roles at MTV Networks and Viacom, after first joining the company in 1999.

“Stef has been integral to the success of VDS over the past two years, providing critical leadership across many areas of the business, including strategy, business operations and partner management,” DeBevoise wrote in a memo to VDS staff. “As part of this change, Kelly Day will be moving out of her current role at VDS. Under Kelly’s leadership, VDS has become a leader in digital and branded content and I’m truly grateful for her support and guidance through this process. She’ll continue to work closely with Stef and me throughout this transition.”

Day, who most recently served as COO of youth-focused media company AwesomenessTV, joined Viacom in 2017 to lead the formation of VDS. Over the last two years, she acquired the Awesomeness and VidCon businesses - both of which now live under the VDS umbrella - and built up digital content slates for Viacom's portfolio of networks. In the reorg last fall, Brian Robbins, currently president of Nickelodeon and co-founder of Awesomeness, assumed oversight of Awesomeness.

In a memo to VDS employees, Day wrote, “While I will no longer be part of the VDS team, I won’t be too far away. I’ll continue to support the team through this transition until I announce what’s next for me.” She also praised Schwartz’s leadership in building out the VDS strategy, business operations, and platform partnerships.

"Not a day has gone by in two years that I haven't talked to Stef about how to move our business forward and achieve our ambitious goals, and she's always been there with great ideas and a fearless determination to get things done.

“Stef is the first person many of us go to when we need advice on something or a question answered, and is a compassionate and supportive team leader,” adding, “I am thrilled for her to lead VDS in this next phase.”

Schwartz, in her own memo to VDS staffers, thanks Day for “her fearless leadership in bringing Viacom Digital Studios to life.”

“Looking ahead, not only will we continue to make great content across our social footprint, but under the combined ViacomCBS digital team, we have the opportunity to grow our business and expand our reach in new ways,” Schwartz wrote.
