BOOM! Studios has revealed a first look at the first-ever Rugrats original graphic novel RUGRATS: THE LAST TOKEN, about the babies’ journey to save the arcade from certain doom with the treasured last token, from writer Pranas T. Naujokaitis (Adventure Time) and artist Maurizia Rubino (Steven Universe). Join the Rugrats as they set off on a magical quest to battle monsters, hordes, and the pernicious influence of greed in the most epic adventure of all time, in stores November 2019.

Stu and Drew have taken the babies to the local arcade for a relaxing day of pizza and games but one does not simply walk into the Wizard Rat Pizza Parlor Fun Time. When the arcade’s token stock goes down to one, a frenzy breaks loose and darkness descends upon the arcade floor. Every child seeks the precious golden coin for their own game with no thought to the needs of all the children of Fun Time. It is up to Tommy, son of Stu, and his noble fellowship of Rugrats to guard the one token across the treacherous game room floor to the fabled volcano arcade machine, told to yield a stream of tokens if you win, in order to save the day.

RUGRATS: THE LAST TOKEN, featuring a cover by Chrystin Garland (Steven Universe), is the latest release from BOOM! Nickelodeon Spreads Holiday Cheer with New Winter Wonderland Pop-Up Store

New pop-up will feature items from series such as SpongeBob SquarePants and PAW Patrol.


Nickelodeon has announced the launch of a winter wonderland-themed pop-up at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, California!

Properties including SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, JoJo Siwa, Nickelodeon Slime, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Blue’s Clues & You! will be featured in the shop. Products offered will include best-selling holiday toys, apparel, stocking stuffers, as well as multiple exclusive items.

Limited-edition product will include:

  • Louis De Guzman x J Balvin x “SpongeBob SquarePants” collection of apparel, accessories and furniture;
  • Romero Britto x “SpongeBob SquarePants” collection of apparel and accessories;
  • “PAW Patrol” felt applique apparel; and
  • AKID x JoJo Siwa denim jacket.

The all-new Nickelodeon shopping experience will also offer family holiday photo opportunities, including a giant wreath made of JoJo bows, life-sized characters and an animated LED character snow globe. Additionally, the shop will feature giveaways and DIY holiday crafts, along with meet and greets with characters such as SpongeBob, Chase from PAW Patrol and Blue from Blues Clues & You!

The news comes as Nickelodeon continues to invest in pop-up experiences featuring the brand's iconic properties, including a Good Burger pop-up restaurant, Nickelodeon Slime City, the Carney's Restaurant x Nickelodeon Slime takeover, and most recently, the SpongeBob SquarePants: The Bikini Bottom Experience.

Viacom Launches Its First Branded DTC Online Shops

Ecommerce and pop-up shops for SpongeBob and MTV are part of larger direct-to-consumer effort

For anyone considering SpongeBob SquarePants merchandise and MTV sweatshirts as a holiday gift idea, Viacom is now giving consumers an option to buy exclusive products directly from the company.

Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products (VNCP), which oversees retail and merchandising for Viacom, has launched its first branded online shops as part of the entertainment company’s new direct-to-consumer efforts. Andrea Fasulo, svp of retail marketing for VNCP, said the company launched the websites to provide an alternative channel to reach its diverse fanbase, and highlight Viacom’s portfolio.

“The idea was to create homes where fans can find curated collections of products that are different from what you might find in traditional retail,” said Fasulo. “We want to create sites that serve these fans and provide us with [further] insight on types of products they want to see.”

The websites sell items that include personalized and print-on-demand apparel, home goods and accessories. The SpongeBob site, which launched this past summer, includes products tied to the show’s 20th anniversary and the holidays. The MTV shop, which launched earlier this month, offers clothes and accessories themed around the network and shows such like Wild ‘N Out. There are also plans to include apparel themed around The Challenge, Catfish and Daria.

Limited-edition design collaborations are another feature of the ecommerce venture. For example, the SpongeBob shop currently sells products with a design from visual artist Louis De Guzman and musician J Balvin. Fasulo said selling these collaborations exclusively on the sites is a new strategy for Viacom to introduce fresh takes on older franchises and expose them to new audiences.

The initiative also includes a brick-and-mortar pop-up shop. Viacom opened the first Nickelodeon Holiday Shop earlier this month at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. Open through Dec. 31, the shop sells SpongeBob items, as well as products from franchises like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Nickelodeon Slime—including a slime-making kit.

With the shortest holiday shopping season since 2013, Fasulo explained that opening a physical store provides an opportunity for the company to drive as much business during the holidays as it can. “This was the right time to launch the Nickelodeon pop-up so we could test new products and create buzz. We can tell our brand story to consumers as they shop,” she said.

To oversee the DTC program, Viacom has also appointed Aaron Cunningham as vice president of direct-to-consumer. Cunningham—who has 13-year background helming ecommerce for retailers such as Walmart and Goodbaby International—will lead product sourcing and merchandising for each website, along with marketing, user acquisition and developing VNCP’s future slate of sites and pop-up shops.

SpongeBobshop.com and MTVshop.com are the first of a group of online shops to sell products tied to Viacom brands and characters. Fasulo couldn’t divulge which shows, characters or networks will get their own site next—there could be more options as Viacom and CBS are set to finalize a merger—but noted the company is monitoring which fan bases are creating asks on social for insight.

And with the number of Americans buying DTC is expected to grow nearly 20 percent in the next five years, Fasulo also stressed that the program is a growing distribution channel for fans.

“The DTC model allows greater adaptability for us when it comes to fulfilling the needs of our fans,” said Fasulo. “It’s incredibly valuable to have this direct line of communication with fans.”

With Double Dare remaining an iconic touchstone for its original millennial audiences, the new version will feature the gameplay and challenges they remember, as well as appearances from blasts from the past and stars from today, including original series host Marc Summers, who returns to give color commentary on the challenges, lending his vast knowledge of the game and expertise to each episode. Nickelodeon is giving the gift of surprise with its hidden camera prank show The Substitute, this time featuring guest star and Grammy Award-winning artist and performer NE-YO going undercover at John Muir Middle School in Burbank, CA. The holiday-themed episode airs on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

Using a full costume and prosthetics to hide his identity, NE-YO is transformed into three completely unrecognizable substitute teachers, pranking students as a master chef with a disastrous recipe for gingerbread cookies and eggnog, an out of control ‘90s rocker with an appetite for destruction and a quirky artist with an unusual flare for the arts.


The series features celebrities who are transformed by a team of Hollywood special effects artists to go undercover as a substitute, surprising unsuspecting kids in schools, camps and other locations. After a day full of ridiculous mayhem, the substitute reveals themselves and the organization receives a donation for $25,000.


The Substitute premiered last month with international superstar John Cena, following two specials that aired earlier this year with guest stars Jace Norman (Henry Danger) and the multitalented comedian Lilly Singh. Additional celebrities will be announced at a later date.


The Substitute is produced by Industrial Media’s The Intellectual Property Corporation. Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman and Todd Hurvitz (Punk’d), serve as executive producers, with Hurvitz also serving as the showrunner. Jessica Brown, Nickelodeon’s Vice President of Current Series, also serves as an executive producer. Production of The Substitute for Nickelodeon is overseen by Rob Bagshaw, Executive Vice President, Unscripted Content.

NE-YO is set to guest-star on the holiday-themed episode of Nickelodeon's hit hidden camera prank show The Substitute, HollywoodLife has revealed!


The holiday-themed episode of The Substitute will air Nov. 30, at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon Brazil to Launch 'Mundo Nick' Retail Activation at Shopping ABC in November 2019

Following the success of the Nickelodeon Slime Factory interactive retail activation that has been touring shopping centers across Brazil throughout the year, Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) is once again partnering with interactive activations specialist 2a1 Cenografia to launch a brand-new Nickelodeon-themed retail activation for the Christmas holidays!


Each year, shopping malls invest in a variety of innovative attractions to entice the public and win over children. For this reason, Shopping ABC shopping centre in Santo André in ABC Paulista will host the very first "Mundo Nick" ("Nick World") experience!

Designed and developed by 2a1 Cenografia, "Mundo Nick" will feature some of Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.'s most beloved characters, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SpongeBob SquarePants and his BFF Patrick Star, Dora the Explorer, Nella the Princess Knight and her unicorn sidekick Trinket, Rusty Rivets and the Top Wing team.

The Christmas attraction will open at Shopping ABC on Saturday 9th November 2019. Admission to the attraction will be free.

"We created the concept and scenery exclusively from scratch. Mundo Nick is designed to entertain the children and transform Christmas into a special moment, with the characters loved by the children, generating interest in families to stimulate the year-end programming," says said Caio Paulino, diretor de Marketing da 2a1 Cenografia.

"Mundo Nick" will have a giant, interactive and very entertaining attractions. It's impossible to talk about Nickelodeon without talking about slime. And, therefore, "Mundo Nick" will feature the large pipes of the slime factory that represent the Nickelodeon universe very well.

Como é impossível falar da Nickelodeon sem lembrar do famoso slime verde, a cenografia traz em diversos ambientes os tubos da fábrica da massa de modelar para representar esse universo. A Praça Principal, no piso térreo, abrigará uma árvore master de 6 metros de altura que remete estar plantada em um gigante tubo da ‘geleca’ onde as crianças poderão se aventurar em uma cama de gato. O espaço interativo contará também com xícaras giratórias, uma área para dança e um painel virtual com atividades para os pequenos.

Topiárias e árvores recheadas com laços, enfeites e elementos dos personagens da Nick também se destacam e trazem vida à magia do Natal.

No Piso 2, um brinquedão de 5 metros com escorregadores que simulam a passagem dos slimes com direito a escalada, promete divertir as crianças de 3 a 12 anos.

O espaço abriga também o trono do Papai Noel que recepcionará os pequenos diariamente das 12h às 20h até o dia 24 de dezembro.

Para que o momento fique ainda mais divertido e inesquecível o Shopping ABC promoverá Meet & Greet com os personagens da Nick nos dias 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28 de novembro, 3, 5, 10 e 12 de dezembro das 14h às 19h.

MUMBAI: Cosmos-Maya’s flagship Intellectual Property (IP) Motu Patlu, which runs successfully on Nickelodeon India has added yet another feather to its cap. After featuring in the Madame Tussauds waxwork museum in New Delhi, the show won the ‘Best Animation – Jury’ award at the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival!

BURBANK, Calif.,–Nov. 18, 2019–Nickelodeon is celebrating the holidays with a new competition series, Top Elf, premiering Friday, Nov. 29, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Across five one-hour episodes, seven kid “Elf-testants” with extraordinary building and design skills compete in festive challenges to become Santa’s ‘Top Elf’ and have their wish lists granted—not for themselves, but for good causes in their hometowns. Top Elf airs Fridays at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon, with the season finale airing Saturday, Dec. 21, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT).


In Top Elf, Santa (Tommy Snider) and Ms. Jingles (Samantha Turret) invite seven civilian “Elf-testants” to the North Pole to test their skills in a series of holiday-themed challenges, from designing their own life-sized gingerbread clubhouses, to reimagining Santa’s sleigh, to creating giant 3-D holiday cards. And of course, building new toys!

Each “Elf-testant" is paired with one of Santa’s elves who help bring their visions to life. Meet the elves: Chip Snuggles (Rudy Martinez), Nog Shimmerhorn (David Magidoff), Ginger O’Tingleton (Jenna Wright), Merry Sparkleberry (Nataliz Jimenez), Tinsel Turtledove (Ashley August), Zippy Twinkles (Davied Morales) and Stretch McDancerpants (Eric Stretch).


The seven skillful “Elf-testants” competing this season are: Aiko from New York; Allison from Walnut, Calif.; Briana from Los Angeles; Cameron from Georgetown, Ky.; Hopper from Highland Park, Texas; Hud from Oxford, Miss.; and Justice from Jamaica, N.Y.

At the end of each episode, “Elf-testants” are judged by Santa, Ms. Jingles and a celebrity guest to decide who is on the “nice” or “naughty" list and one step closer to being named Top Elf. Celebrity guest judges helping Santa and Ms. Jingles find the Top Elf are: Frankie Grande, Amirah Kassem, Peyton List, Alex Wassabi and Pete Wentz.

Jamaica boy to star on Nickelodeon’s upcoming holiday game show ‘Top Elf’

Justice Levenson was trying on some shoes at a Foot Locker when his mom, Davina, received a call that he’d been cast as one of the contestants on Nickelodeon’s new game show, “Top Elf.”

“My mom started screaming ‘you got the job, you got the job!’” Levenson, who resides in Jamaica and attends Stephen A. Halsey JHS 157 middle school, told QNS. “And we were all like, ‘we’re going to LA, we’re going to LA!’”

Levenson will be one of seven “Elf-testants” on “Top Elf,” which premieres on Nickelodeon on Friday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. The Christmas-themed game show will test the building and design skills of the kid contestants who will compete in festive challenges to become Santa’s “Top Elf,” and have their wish lists granted.

Their wish lists, though, aren’t for themselves — rather they are for good causes in their hometowns.

Levenson chose March of Dimes, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the health of mothers and their babies, as the organization he’s competing for. The 12-year-old said the reason he’s choosing to compete for them is because his mother benefitted from their services when he was born.

“I was born at 32 weeks,” Levenson said. “When my mom was in the NICU, it was a really tense experience for her and those nurses really helped her, so we wanted to give back.”

Levenson said he auditioned twice for a spot on the show. The first time, he made a drawing that was inspired by Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” and then the second time, which took place in Los Angeles, he created a small, toy-like robot with detachable parts.

The experience will mark Levenson’s first time on TV, which he said he is “ecstatic” about. But his excitement is matched only by his two younger siblings, 11-year-old Tyler and 5-year-old Callie.

“Every time the commercial comes on they go crazy,” Davina, Levenson’s mom, said. “They lose their minds.”

Levenson said that while his mom encourages them all to act and go on auditions, he’s the most artsy of the bunch. After all, his biggest goal is to become a filmmaker and has already submitted a stop-motion movie to a film festival.

He’s now working on creating his own YouTube channel with his brother and a friend.

And although Levenson loves watching Nickelodeon — “The Loud House,” “Henry Danger,” and “SpongeBob SquarePants” are some of his favorite shows — there’s another show he wishes he can someday be on, too.

“I really want to be on the ‘Ellen Show,’” Levenson enthusiastically said. “It’s just really funny and I enjoy watching it!”

For now, Levenson is happy that everyone will get to see the show, where he said he made long-lasting friendships and got to celebrate his favorite holiday.

“My favorite holiday is Christmas since it’s a big deal in our family because my mom is from England,” Levenson said. “We have a lot of amazing traditions from her country, which include Mince pies and Father Christmas.”

Oxford native trying to become Nickelodeon’s “Top Elf”

An Oxford youngster could earn the highest distinction a child can get this time of year.

Hud Clark is one of seven children who will be vying for the title of “Top Elf,” during a new Christmas competition show by the same name airing on Nickelodeon starting this Friday.

Clark was selected to compete on the show after submitting information to a casting agency through an email his mother received from a co-worker. After an interview process, Clark made the cut.

The show is set up in five hour-long episodes where the seven “elf-testants” are paired with one of Santa’s elves as they compete in a series of holiday-themed challenges, from designing their own life-size gingerbread clubhouses to reimagining Santa’s sleigh. The children will also be tasked with building new toys.

“(Santa) asked for a whole bunch of crazy things that we all had to build,” Clark said. “So, it’s a creative, fun challenge show. It was just an amazing experience in general, because I got to create and show off my talent.”

Creating things is nothing new to Clark. On a normal day, he is known to be drawing things or even working on Hot Wheels tracks for his friends.

“I create all sorts of stuff,” Clark said. “I’ve done a lot of really cool stuff.”

At the end of each episode, the “elf-testants” are judged by Santa, played by Tommy Snider, Mrs. Jingles (Samantha Turret) and a celebrity guest judge to decide who is on the “nice” or “naughty” list and one step closer to being named “Top Elf.”

The celebrity judges include Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, Frankie Grande, Peyton List, Alex Wassabi and Amirah Kassem.

Whoever wins the competition will have their wish list granted by Santa. The list does not contain items Clark or the other contestants would like for Christmas. Instead, the list goes toward a good cause in their hometown.

Clark chose the Thisbe & Noah Scott Foundation for his wish list. The foundation, which is named in honor of Thisbe and Noah Scott, who passed away at a young age, promotes research and raises awareness and support for children with neurological diseases. The Scotts died from a rare type of motor neuron disease, BVVL.

“Two of my best friends lost two children to a very rare disease and it just made me really sad, so that’s why I thought it should be my charity,” Clark said.

The first episode of “Top Elf” premieres on Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. CT, and the finale will air on Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. CT on Nickelodeon.

Local student competes to be ‘Top Elf’ on national TV show

This holiday season, Cameron Fulton, 12, a Royal Spring Middle School student will be among the featured participants in Nickelodeon Channel’s “Top Elf,” which premieres Friday, Nov. 29, at 8 p.m.

Cameron was chosen from thousands of candidates across the country who auditioned for the show which features seven contestants with exceptional building and design skills. The show will air every Friday until the series finale on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 8 p.m. The winner of the show will have their wish granted. Cameron’s wish is to donate to the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society.

The filming for the show has already taken place but Cameron’s dad, Ronnie, is not giving away the final winner’s identity. He traveled with his son to Los Angeles and stayed for three weeks to film the series earlier this year.

“It was not what I was expecting,” Fulton said. “It was a lot of work for everyone. “By California law, Cameron could only film five hours a day and he had to keep up with his school work for another three hours each day. It got a little stressful.”

The filming environment was busy and he counted at least 180 people on the set each day, he said.

Even so, Cameron handled the stress well, he said.

“Cameron may have been tired at some points but when the cameras started rolling he just lit-up,” Fulton said.

The effort required to create the series was surprising, Cameron said.

Nickelodeon recently partnered with the Finnish shipping company Eckerö Line to launch Slime Time Cruises with the exclusive concept Slimeulator, which was available at Eckerö Line m/s Finlandia during the autumn holidays in October 2019! In collaboration with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Nordics' kids’ entertainment brand Nickelodeon, one of the world leading kids network, and Eckerö Line, the exclusive slime-ulator concept was introduced to the Finnish market for the first time ever.

Being slimed by Nickelodeon is the ultimate badge of honour and the brand is known for covering celebrities in the iconic goo. The slime phenomenon has overwhelmed Finnish children in recent years, and this autumn, Nickelodeon and Eckerö Line offered kids the chance to be slimed. For a limited time during the autumn holidays between Wednesday 16th and Sunday 20th October 2019, kids could travel with Slime Time Cruises, which feature Nickelodeon's world-famous Slimeulator, a special contraption that pours litres of green slime over kids.

THE MAGICAL ADVENTURE RETURNS WITH THE BUREAU OF MAGICAL THINGS SEASON 2


ZDF Enterprises, Screen Queensland and Screen Australia have today announced the second season of hit live-action children’s series The Bureau of Magical Things from internationally-renowned producer Jonathan M. Shiff. The series is made for Network 10 locally, plus ZDF Germany and Nickelodeon.

The first season of The Bureau of Magical Things screened in over 170 territories and received the AACTA Award for Best Children’s Program in 2018. Season 2 continues the adventures of Kyra, a teenage girl who acquired magical powers when caught in a clash between an elf and a fairy. In this new series, when Kyra and Darra embark on a quest to find a legendary lost temple, Kyra’s orb magic accidentally awakens a dangerous object causing fairy and elf magic to malfunction. As the danger escalates, Kyra must risk everything to deal with a threat that endangers the entire magical world and brings her own identity into question.

Production will take place from December 2019 to July 2020 with the original cast to return for the 20-part series led by Kimie Tsukakoshi (The Family Law) as Kyra. Siblings Elizabeth Cullen and Julian Cullen (Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan) return as elf brother and sister on screen. Mia Milnes and Rainbow Wedell (Jiva) also headline as fairies. Jamie Carter plays Kyra’s human friend and now a member of ‘The Bureau’, while Arnijka Larcombe-Weate returns as Kyra’s problematic bestie oblivious to the magical world.

The young cast are joined by experienced actors Christopher Sommers (Sweet Tooth, The Water Diviner), Nicholas Bell (Mission Impossible II, Wanted), Steve Nation (Neighbours) and this season introduces Tasneem Roc (Harrow, Rake, Reef Doctors).

Netflix Acquires Rights to 'Glitch Techs'

It looks like Netflix has acquired the rights to Nickelodeon's upcoming animated series Glitch Techs! The series is currently being showcased in a "For Your Consideration" panel on the streaming service.

The news follows Nickelodeon and Netflix forming a new, multi-year output deal to produce original animated feature films and television series - based both on the Nickelodeon library of characters as well as all-new IP - for kids and families around the world. This marks an expansion of the existing relationship between the companies, which has already brought several popular titles to Netflix, including animated specials Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling and Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus and the animated series Pinky Malinky. Also forthcoming are specials based on The Loud House and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Glitch Techs is slated to debut in 2020.

Something Glitchy This Way Comes.. Nickelodeon's brand-new animated adventure-comedy series follows two newly recruited kids as they battle video game monsters that come to life in the real world.

This brand new animated series features High Five and Miko, two gamers who are recruited into the world of Glitch Techs: kids who battle the video game glitches that enter our world through faulty game consoles!

In the world of Glitch Techs, Hinobi is a huge gaming and tech company that makes massively popular video games consoles. What Hinobi customers do NOT know is that their games sometimes glitch and release dangerous video game creatures into the real world! That’s when the company send the Glitch Techs: a trained support team equipped with an arsenal of fantastic gaming gear designed to capture video game pests and out them back where they belong!

Once a glitch is returned, the Techs must remove any evidence it was there – including the memories of any witnesses! Not only do Glitch Techs fight for the safety of the city, they also work at Hinobi stores, helping customers with tech support and service needs.

Enter Miko and high Five – new recruits who fight glitches and reformat witnesses all before the store closes at 5pm. Talk about a crazy job! Respect the Tech!


Glitch Techs comes from Eric Robles (Fanboy & Chum Chum, The X's, Ni Hao, Kai-Lan) and Dan Milano (Greg the Bunny, Warren the Ape), both hailing from Nickelodeon's Artist Collective, an internal artist-led development program, and is produced at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, Calif. Nickelodeon has picked-up Glitch Techs for an initial 20-episode first season. A second season was commissioned, however, Nickelodeon halted production half-way through.

Glitch Techs will boast a multi-ethnic cast, including a Muslim-American female character who will wear a hijab. At a industry panel held late last year, the co-creators explained that when they were developing Glitch Techs, they “recognized the need to incorporate characters reflective of the viewing audience, whether they are background characters or main characters,” and revealed that they had worked with MPAC (Muslim Public Affairs Council) to “figure out how to accurately display an authenticity, even down to little behaviors.” Dan Milano further elaborated, “Even though we’re an animated show and they are trying to catch creatures, we want small things. We want to know that a stray hair came out of that hijab, and she had to tuck it behind her ear because that’s a human moment, that’s a practical moment, from everyday life.”

It was recently announced that Emmy-award winning actor Bryton James (Winx Club, The Young and the Restless) will be voicing a character in Nickelodeon Glitch Techs.

Kel Mitchell to be a Contestant on 'Dancing with the Stars' 2019

ABC has announced the exciting news that comedian, actor and Nickelodeon legend Kel Mitchell will be a contestant on the 2019 season of the network's hit dancing competition series Dancing with the Stars!

Update (11/27) - A huge congratulations to Kel Mitchell and Ally Brooke (The Casagrandes theme song), who came a very respectable second and third place in Dancing with the Stars 2019, respectively!


Joining Kel on the 28th season of Dancing with the Stars will be: country music star Lauren Alaina; supermodel Christie Brinkley; pop star Ally Brooke; The Bachelorette's Hannah Brown; TV host Karamo Brown; TV star Kate Flannery; NFL Hall of Famer Ray Lewis; two-time NBA champion Lamar Odom; former Trump White House press secretary Sean Spicer; TV icon James Van Der Beek; and The Supremes star Mary Wilson, along with professional dancers Brandon Armstrong, Lindsay Arnold, Alan Bersten, Cheryl Burke, Witney Carson, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Keo Motsepe, Peta Murgatroyd, Pasha Pashkov, Gleb Savchenko and Emma Slater.

The new celebrity cast, announced this morning on ABC’s Good Morning America, is adding some glitzy bling to their wardrobe, breaking in their dancing shoes and readying themselves for their first dance on the ballroom floor, as the show kicks off Monday, September 16, 2019 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT) on ABC.

For the first time ever, viewers will have to tune in to the season premiere to find out with whom their favorite professional dancers are paired. This season also features the return of a loved pro, Peta Murgatroyd, and two new professional ballroom dancers. Episodes can also be viewed the next day on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu.

Kel Mitchell is a two-time Emmy Award-nominated actor, producer and stand-up comic hailing from the Windy City of Chicago, Illinois. Currently, Mitchell is executive producing and appearing in the new iteration of the beloved Nickelodeon sketch series All That with his fellow alum Kenan Thompson, bringing him full circle since he got his big break and won several awards for the original show. All That was Nickelodeon’s longest-running live-action series with 171 episodes across 10 seasons from 1994 to 2005. The franchise paved the way for a number of successful spinoffs, including Kenan & Kel (starring Mitchell and Thompson), The Amanda Show (starring Amanda Bynes), The Nick Cannon Show and the feature-length film Good Burger (starring Mitchell and Thompson), all of which cemented the show’s and Mitchell’s impact on pop culture.

Additionally, Mitchell is the host of the heart-warming TV series Tails of Valor, which takes a look at true stories of service animals working to change people’s lives. The show airs on CBS Saturday mornings. He also recently starred as Double G, an impulsive and unpredictable billionaire rapper on Nickelodeon's Game Shakers. Other acting credits include Nickelodeon series Sam & Cat and The Thundermans, Nicktoons USA's Wild Grinders, TRU TV’s Friends of the People, Cartoon Network’s Loiter Squad, TV One’s Love That Girl, as well as Disney Channel’s Liv & Maddie, PBS'Clifford the Big Red Dog, and Netflix's Veggie Tales.

Kel is perhaps most famous among fans for his portrayal of orange soda-loving genius Kel Kimble on Kenan & Kel and "Ed" the Good Burger guy on All That.

Mitchell is married to wife Asia Lee, who he has one child with, Wisdom, who they welcomed in July 2017. He also has two children, son Lyric and daughter Allure, from a previous marriage.

Additionally, Mitchell wrote and directed the faith-based, anti-bullying film She Is Not My Sister, and also directed several music videos. When he is not acting, writing or directing, Mitchell speaks to youth across the country encouraging them to follow their dreams.

'Dancing With the Stars': Kel Mitchell Pens Message After Losing Mirrorball Trophy to Hannah Brown

Kel Mitchell is sending love to pro partner and "little sis" Witney Carson after #TeamDanceWitKel came in as runners-up in Monday's Dancing With the Stars Season 28 finale. Hannah Brown and pro partner Alan Bersten may have ended up taking home the mirrorball trophy, but Mitchell had no regrets when it came to ending his time on the show with a energetic freestyle to “Jump” by Kriss Kross.

Sharing a photo of himself and Carson beaming in their matching "K+W" jerseys from their final dance, the Nickelodeon star took to the caption to show all his appreciation for the woman who had been by his side throughout the ups and downs of his DWTS journey.


"Hey Little Sis! Young WC!" Mitchell began his note. "[Witney Cartson], it was such a pleasure working with you on [Dancing With the Stars] we laughed, we cried, we prayed together and most importantly had fun!"

"It was an amazing journey that I will never forget and last night was epic, our freestyle represented my hometown Chicago and it was awesome seeing you smile so big while Chicago footworking!" he continued. "Our freestyle dance was a celebration of all our hard work on this season! We are winners and we stay winning everyday! Continued success and blessings to you and your family Wit! #teamdancewitkel #teamJesus #countitalljoy"

Brown was quick to chime in and congratulate her runners-up, writing, "#teamJesus y’all were amazing!!"

Saturday Night Live's Kenan Thompson, Mitchell's longtime comedy and producing partner, gushed, "Bro!!! You did that!!! We’re all so proud of you!!! Congratulations @iamkelmitchell on a great run!!!!"

Even former White House Press Secretary and DWTS alum Sean Spicer had kind words for Mitchell, writing, "You and @witneycarson crushed that freestyle. You guys ended the season on the highest note."


Carson has yet to address the close call in the finale on social media, but prior to Monday's finale shared a heartfelt message to her partner on Instagram.

"Tonight is the night you guys!!!!! I’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished together [Kel Mitchell]!" she wrote. "You have been such an incredible student, teammate, & big brother. You are a true [star] & I cannot wait to dance with you tonight! It’s gonna be one to remember!"
