See Cynthia Erivo As a Singing Vet on Nickelodeon's Sunny Day

The Tony winner guest stars as Dr. Vanessa in the preschool series.


Cynthia Erivo, who will soon make her starring turn in the upcoming Harriet Tubman biopic Harriet, can be spotted in an upcoming episode of Nickelodeon's popular animated preschool series Sunny Day! In the episode, the Tony winner voices the singing, kind-hearted veterinarian Dr. Vanessa.

The episode, "Get Her to the Vet", will premiere on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 10 AM ET/PT on the Nick Jr. channel; take a sneak peek of the song "Here for You," written by Paul Buckley with music supervision by Peter Lurye, in the clip below, via PlayBill.com!



Sunny Day follows the adventures of Sunny, a 10-year-old master hairstylist and entrepreneur who uses creative problem-solving to tackle any dilemma that arises in her seaside town of Friendly Falls. The series, currently in its second season, celebrates individuality, self-expression, leadership, innovative thinking, and teamwork.

Harriet, which stars Erivo in the title role along with Leslie Odom Jr., Janelle Monáe, Jennifer Nettles, and more, will hit movie theatres in the U.S. Friday, November 1, 2019. Watch the trailer here.

Nickelodeon Teases 'Bikini Bottom Experience'

Nickelodeon has teased the Bikini Bottom Experience on social media!


Not much is currently known about Bikini Bottom Experience, however, judging from its title, it could be a on-the-ground activation inspired SpongeBob SquarePants which will immerse fans into the undersea world of Nickelodeon's hit animated series.

"Get ready to experience Bikini Bottom like never before. Details coming tomorrow morning! 🚨" Nickelodeon said on Twitter.


The Bikini Bottom Experience will form part of Nickelodeon's global "Best Year Ever", a year-long global celebration of one of the most iconic TV series and characters ever created. The “Best Year Ever” launched with the premiere of “SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout,” an original mixed live-action and animated special, and leads up to the Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies theatrical, The SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge, coming summer 2020.

Nickelodeon's 'All That'-Inspired Good Burger Pop-Up to Head to Chicago in 2020

Chicago to Welcome a ‘Good Burger’ Pop-Up to Tap into Nickelodeon Nostalgia


Chicagoans will soon be able to visit the home of the Good Burger, drink an orange soda and live out their ’90s Nick Kid dreams at a new Chicago pop-up restaurant!

After a successful run in Los Angeles, the Good Burger pop-up inspired by Kel Mitchell's fast-food sketche on Nickelodeon's All That (and the beloved 1997 movie adaptation of the sketch) will make its way east to the city in 2020. Organizers haven't announced an exact location or an opening date yet, but that's not going to stop fans from getting stoked about finally trying Ed's secret-recipe special sauce for themselves!

Good Burger LA will end a three-month run on Sunday, September 29 with delivery continuing though December, according to a news release.

Reservation tickets can be purchased at https://www.goodburgerpopup.com/. Fans can follow the Good Burger experience on social media on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.


The nostalgic pop-up comes from the same team behind the Saved by the Bell-themed concept Saved by the Max, which turned a Wicker Park storefront into a neon-lit diner that served Bayside Burgers and Snack Attack sundaes throughout the latter half of 2016.

Derek Berry, a partner at Beauty Bar in West Town, created the officially licensed Saved by the Bell pop-up in 2016 and the restaurant exceeded expectations with a year run in Chicago. He brought the Max to LA in 2018 and it closed in April 2018. Good Burger launched in July as a tie-in to Nickelodeon's All That revival. The Max’s success inspired many Chicago bars to hold pop-ups based on nostalgic pop-culture properties.

Eggslut founder and celebrity chef Alvin Cailan consulted on the pop-up's menu, bringing dishes like the signature Good Burger and Good Chunks (honey mustard chicken tenders) to life. The menu also features an assortment of sides (Good Fries, Good Rings, Good Pickles, Good Salad), desserts (Good Shakes, Good Pies, Good Cookies) and several orange soda-inspired cocktails. It’ll also features a meat-free Beyond Meat burger.

Cashiers also greet customers with Ed's iconic catchphrase, “Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can I take your order?”.

Cailan has experience with pop-culture properties as he developed Blue Apron’s burger kits themed after Fox’s animated series Bob’s Burgers.

Visitors may visit to try the food, but they'll want to stick around for photo-ops inside of the recreation of a locale that they likely last experienced on a standard definition television set. When the event launched in L.A., the space even included an old-school arcade with all games set to free-play mode. Throughout its run, All That cast members, including Kel Mitchell (aka Ed the Good Burger Guy) and Nick Cannon showed up for surprise appearances. Though neither detail has been confirmed for the Chicago run, fans are hoping Chicago native Mitchell swings by his old stomping ground for a visit.

While pricing hasn't been been announced for the Chicago location yet, at the L.A. incarnation of the pop-up, a $30 ticket included one signature Good Burger menu item, a side and a commemorative paper hat just like the one Ed always wore. Additional entrees, desserts, milkshakes and boozy cocktails can be ordered à la carte, so there's no need to worry about going home hungry.

The pop-up was designed by multi-disciplinary artist Floyd A. Davis IV who states “The goal of the design is to create a connection between the nostalgic visual legacy of Good Burger’s iconic past forms, and the updated aesthetic of the new season of Nickelodeon’s All That.”

The Saved by the Max space is currently occupied by Dorian’s, a restaurant/bar that hosts live music and run by Berry’s business partner Zack Eastman. Eastman (who also owns the East Room) and Berry also partnered with Steve Harris, the veteran Chicago bar owner behind Debonair Social Club. The team recruited chef Brian Fisher to create the menu for the Saved by the Bell pop-up. Fisher, who presides over Michelin-starred Entente, isn’t involved with Good Burger.

Eggslut was founded in LA in 2011 and now has four California locations and one in Las Vegas, with plans for Japan, London, and Kuwait. The restaurant specializes in egg sandwiches on fresh biscuits. There’s been rumblings of a Chicago expansion, so this move may intensify those rumors.

Good Burger started as a sketch on the TV show All That before Hollywood adapted it into a 1997 movie. The premise involved characters who work at a fictional fast-food restaurant. In the movie, Mitchell’s character, Ed, develops a beloved secret sauce that distinguishes Good Burger from the competition. The sketch frequently featured Kenan Thompson, the comedian who’s spent 16 years on Saturday Night Live— the series’s longest-tenured cast member - with Thompson also co-starring as Ed's co-worker in the theatrical.

The team’s success in working with NBC and Saved by the Bell has made an impression in Hollywood. Berry has moved to LA with his family, and when the LA crew behind a Beverly Hills, 90210 pop-up needed help, CBS hired Berry to spruce up the Peach Pit.

Delhi, September 5th, 2019: This Teachers Day, Nickelodeon, India’s leading kids’ entertainment franchise, took its campaign a notch higher with their campaign – Guru Cool 3.0. The number-one brand for kids partnered with young and vibrant rapper group 7Bantai’Z to engage teachers and children in a fun rap battle introducing R se Rap to the teachers. The entertaining rap was created where students demanding fun & learning and teachers speak of importance of the education and the balance that needs to be maintained. This campaign was focused on how teachers can adopt unconventional ways to enhance their learning and ‘Cool’ quotient from kids.

As part of the latest edition of Guru Cool 3.0 – R Se Rap campaign (a sequel to Nickelodeon India's D Se Dab), children’s favourite character Shiva performed the rap LIVE along with the 7Bantai’Z at Ryan International School. Known for his strong and positive influence, Nicktoon Shiva and the rapping artists pumped up the volume and took the kids on a joyride by sharing a few rapping tips and engaging with them through other activities. The activity saw kids performing and humming the rap with the band and having their best time. Through this campaign, Nickelodeon strengthened the student-teacher ratio and broke through their cliché’ bonds.


Principal of Ryan International School said, “The association with Nickelodeon charged up our basic Teacher’s Day celebrations and we could not have enjoyed it better. It was indeed a pleasure to explore the different talents that kids have today with the help of rap-band 7’Banntaiz. The Nicktoons and the rap-band were so playful and talented that they took over the celebrations completely. We were awe-struck with their super cool campaign R Se Rap.”

Foot Locker to Launch SpongeBob x Timberland Collection on Friday, September 13

Literally hot on the heels of the release of Nike's Spongebob x Kyrie collection, it’s Timberland’s turn to incorporate Nickelodeon's iconic character into their footwear designs. The SpongeBob x Timberland collaboration includes two pairs of 6” Premium Waterproof Boots, both filled with spongey goodness and clever design details from the celebrated animated series: one in a bright blue colorway and the other in black.


The blue pair is jellyfish-themed, with a nice deep teal colour on the sole and lower part of the boots, and a lighter teal on the upper portion and tongue, and features SpongeBob SquarePants hunting jellyfish equipped with his glasses and jellyfish net on one side, a classic scene from many of the most iconic SpongeBob episodes, while the other side shows Patrick running away from the jellyfish. This pair also comes equipped with a set of pink laces and a keychain of a jar of jelly. With net in hand and glasses on tight, SpongeBob peers over the contrasting white stitching looking down at three jellyfish surrounding Timberland’s debossed logo. A debossed image of SpongeBob replaces the Timberland logo on the tongue. The option of two interchangeable laces allows wearers to keep things tonal with blue or match the jellyfish with a bright pink. A giant jar of jelly keychain replaces the classic removable Timberland branding attached to the shoe.

Depicting another famous SpongeBob scene, the black pair shows Plankton happily running in front of a fresh Krabby Patty printed over Timberland’s logo on the heel. The top two lugs are a contrasting red, while the laces that run through them are a yellow sponge pattern. SpongeBob’s iconic outfit makes an appearance on the dubrae, playing with the scale of the oversized tongue graphic behind it. The tongue is printed over with a graphic of SpongeBob’s face, with his body represented by yellow laces and lace locks that depict SpongeBob’s white shirt and red tie outfit. This pair also comes with a removable rubber SpongeBob keychain completes the shoe.

The SpongeBob SquarePants x Timberland collection recently saw a limited release at Nordstrom, where both pairs quickly sold out, but will be getting a wider release courtesy of Foot Locker on Friday, September 13. Kids can get ready for the new school year and learn lessons about friendship and following your dreams with Nickelodeon’s Middle School Moguls, premiering Sunday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nick USA. The four half-hour, CG-animated specials chronicle the ambitions of four new friends striving to create their own companies while attending Mogul Academy, an entrepreneurial school where kid-business dreams come true. Middle School Moguls will continue to air every Sunday in September at 11 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon USA.

Each special will look at life inside the exclusive Mogul Academy through the eyes of first-year students and moguls-in-training: Valeria, a budding sports gear innovator, voiced by Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez; Winnie, an aspiring pet chef, voiced by Daniella Perkins (Knight Squad); Celeste, a smart-tech inventor, voiced by Jade Pettyjohn (School of Rock, Henry Danger, Rufus 2); and Yuna, an edgy fashion designer, voiced by Haley Tju (Bella and the Bulldogs). Together, the girls work to tackle grown-up challenges by thinking outside of the box and “mogulizing” to make their big dreams a reality.

In the first episode of Middle School Moguls, “The Making of a Mogul,” Valeria’s business is discovered by a robot recruiter and she’s selected to attend Mogul Academy, a school for budding young entrepreneurs.



Middle School Moguls also features guest voice actors including: fashion and television personality Tim Gunn (Project Runway) as Wren, a non-binary teacher in the Mogul Academy Fashion Branch; Jane Lynch (Glee, iCarly) as Victoria Steele, the Headmaster of Mogul Academy; Nickelodeon star and YouTube sensation JoJo Siwa as Josie, a communications mogul and head journalist for the school blog, The Daily Juice; Ricardo Hurtado (School of Rock) as Finn, a free-spirited athlete and fellow student; actor and YouTube star Alex Wassabi as Ethan, the girls’ comedic Resident Advisor; entrepreneur Kheris Rogers as Kheris, a budding beauty and fashion mogul; Nicole Sullivan (Black-ish, Wendell & Vinnie, King of Queens, Penguins of Madagascar) as sports Mogul Marci Stern, the head of the academy’s athletic branch; and Garcelle Beauvais and Sean Patrick Thomas as Winnie’s hardworking parents.

Laurie Hernandez Hopes To ‘Inspire’ KidsWith New Show & Talks 2020 Olympics:‘I’m In Full Training Mode’


Laurie Hernandez is a gymnast, Olympic gold medalist, and the youngest-ever ‘DWTS’ champion, but now she’s lending her voice as Valeria in Nickelodeon’s ‘Middle School Moguls’!

Laurie Hernandez is currently training for the 2020 Olympics. But this 19-year-old gymnast has a full plate as she’s also been busy lending her voice on Nickelodeon’s Middle School Moguls. Laurie’s character Valeria, is a budding sports gear innovator in the upcoming series and she sat down with HollywoodLife to dish EXCLUSIVELY on her latest venture. “Middle School Moguls is about four new friends that have met each other and they’re trying to create their own company at a place called Mogul Academy,” Laurie explained. “It kind of helps them hone in on everything they’re passionate about.”

“My character, Valeria, who mostly goes by Val is also an athlete, which is a funny coincidence,” Laurie continued. “She basically creates something and this little mogul school recruiter recruits her to come to Mogul Academy for the summer to try and create her own company, and she gets to meet a bunch of awesome people along the way.” We asked the Olympic gold medalist why this role was the perfect fit for her. “There were a lot of things that really drew me in. I think also, you know, especially the fact that Val comes from a Hispanic background, she’s with her dad and she gets to do something that she’s passionate about and her dad really encourages her with that and he wants to help her with it,” Laurie said. “Also the fact that she’s, like, a little business lady, even though she’s in middle school! She likes to create her own craft and she wants it to be something more, so I like that kids are going to be able to watch someone create something and I hope they get inspired to try something new.”

The Dancing With the Stars champion has also been busy gearing up for the 2020 Olympics and is in “full training mode.” “I’m training six days a week, about five hours a day, and right now, we’re just trying to get everything together so that we can hopefully start competing early next year,” Laurie explained. When it comes to how this multi-talented star juggles it all she said, “I mean, it definitely is tough juggling everything, but these are all things that I’m passionate about, so I’m so happy to be busy, and I’m so blessed to be busy. I’m just excited!”

“Whether that’s doing something in the entertainment world or especially being able to do something like Middle School Moguls, gymnastics has always been a passion of mine, and now I get to do them all at the same time,” Laurie continued. “So of course, making time for myself is really important and making sure that I have all the self-care stuff outside of practice, physical therapy and meeting with my nutritionist and all those things, because the Olympics is right around the corner. But that doesn’t mean anything fun has to stop!”

Nickelodeon revealed today The Casagrandes’ main title, an energetic, authentic theme song that celebrates of all the things that make up the Casagrandes - family, love, humor and food. A new home in the city holds big adventures, laughs and love around every corner in Nickelodeon’s new original animated series The Casagrandes, premiering Monday, Oct. 14, at 1:30 p.m. (ET/PT). A spinoff of Nick’s animated hit The Loud House, The Casagrandes tells the story of 11-year-old Ronnie Anne who moves to the city with her mom and older brother to live with their big, loving family, the Casagrandes. Following its premiere, the series moves to its regular timeslot on Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. (ET/PT) beginning Saturday, Oct. 19, on Nickelodeon.

Starring Izabella Alvarez (Westworld) as 11-year-old Ronnie Annie, Carlos PenaVega (Big Time Rush) as her brother Bobby and Sumalee Montano (Nashville) as her mom Maria, the series showcases the culture, humor, and love that’s part of growing up in a multigenerational Mexican-American family. After moving in with their grandparents in Great Lakes City, Ronnie Anne adjusts to her new life living under one roof and over the family-run mercado (local market), which is a gathering place for everyone in the neighborhood.

Are You Afraid of the Dark? is a Canadian Twilight Zone-esqie anthology series created by D.J. MacHale and Ned Kandel. It revolves around a group of teenagers who called themselves the Midnight Society that meet weekly at a secret location in the woods, where one member tells a scary story to the rest of the group, some of which are based on public domain fairy tales, short stories or urban legends. Subjects range from abandoned houses and vampires to scary clowns, witches and aliens.

The series debuted in 1990 on the Canadian children's channel YTV and was picked up by Nickelodeon USA in 1991, though it didn’t debut until SNICK’s launch on Saturday, Aug. 15, 1992. The show ran until April 1996, and a revival series with new writers, directors, writers and cast members was produced by Nickelodeon from 1999 to 2000. In all, the series ran for 91 episodes over seven seasons. Tia and Tamera Mowry (Sister, Sister), Will Friedle (Boy Meets World), Neve Campbell, Hayden Christensen, Jay Baruchel, Tatyana Ali, Melissa Joan Hart (Clarissa Explains It All, Sabrina the Teenage Witch), Jewel Staite (Space Cases), Emily VanCamp, and two-time Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling are just a few of the household names who have lent their acting skills to the anthology.


Each episode is introduced with the storyteller saying “Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society,” who then would announce the title of that segment. MacHale said the line was a tribute to the series The Twilight Zone, in which creator Rod Serling would introduce the episode by saying, “submitted for your approval.”

In Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark? revival miniseries, through three hour-long episodes, the new Midnight Society will tell a terrifying tale about the Carnival of Doom, only to have the events of the story come to life. The revival will premiere this October on Nick.

The new members of the Midnight Society are: Gavin, played by Sam Ashe Arnold (Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever.); Akiko, played by Miya Cech (Rim of the World,Always Be My Maybe); Louise, played by Tamara Smart (Artemis Fowl,The Worst Witch); Graham, played by Jeremy Taylor (It,Goosebumps 2:Haunted Halloween); and Rachel, played by Lyliana Wray (Top Gun: Maverick,Black-ish). The Carnival of Doom’s ringmaster, Mr. Tophat, is played by Rafael Casal (Blindspotting).

The Are You Afraid of the Dark? limited series is produced by ACE Entertainment (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before,The Perfect Date) with ACE founder Matt Kaplan and Spencer Berman serving as executive producers. The series is written by BenDavid Grabinski (Skiptrace) and directed by Dean Israelite (Power Rangers movie, Project Almanac), both of whom will also executive produce.

To celebrate their Are You Afraid of the Dark? revival miniseries, Nickelodeon will be hosting a spooktacular Are You Afraid of the Dark? panel at NYCC 2019!


Paramount Players is also currently working on a feature film adaptation of Are You Afraid of the Dark?.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob SquarePants, obviously. But now fans have the chance to visit the underwater city the animated sponge calls home in a brand new immersive experience!


Nickelodeon is continuing the "Best Year Ever", it's year-long global celebration of SpongeBob SquarePants, one of the most iconic TV series and characters ever created, with the launch of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Bikini Bottom Experience, a Los Angeles pop-up perfect for fans of all ages.

So what does the ultimate SpongeBob SquarePants experience entail? Fans can participate in six different immersive activations featuring photo opportunities, meme creators, obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, and more. Get the full details on the pop-up below:

  • SpongeBob’s Pineapple: Visitors can enjoy an insider’s look at SpongeBob’s legendary “pineapple under the sea.” Offering a myriad of Insta-worthy photo opps, the activation also includes a spongey surprise.
  • Patrick’s Sand Sanctuary: Guests can cozy up in Patrick’s living room within his rock and strike a pose.
  • Sandy’s Treedome: Fans can mosey over to Sandy’s home and get lassoed into shape as they race to complete an obstacle course.
  • The Krusty Krab: Fans can enter the famed Krusty Krab and put their skills to the test in a scavenger hunt for the Krabby Patty secret formula. To get the formula, guests will have to complete all of the chores Mr. Krabs asks. If they complete the tasks on time, they get to take their Employee of the Month photo, which will be featured on the wall of the famed eatery.
  • Mrs. Puff’s Boating School: Visitors can see if they have what it takes to become Bikini Bottom’s newest licensed driver. Those who pass the test will receive a custom license.
  • Squidward’s Gallery: Art lovers can step into Squidward’s gallery and enjoy some of his custom creations, culminating in an opportunity to create their own custom Squidward meme.

Plus, guests can explore 20 years of SpongeBob SquarePants mementos, including animatics, sketches, curated designer collaborations, and unique products created throughout the years located all over the pop-up.

FORMER BLUE’S CLUES HOSTS STEVE BURNS AND DONOVAN PATTON TO REPRISE ORIGINAL ROLES IN SERIES PREMIERE

NEW YORK--It’s time to pull up the Thinking Chair and follow the paw prints as Blue and her crew return in Nickelodeon’s brand-new preschool series Blue’s Clues & You!, debuting Monday, Nov. 11, at 9 a.m. (ET/PT). Steve Burns (Steve) and Donovan Patton (Joe) will reprise their roles in the series premiere, “Meet Josh!,” and help new live-action host Josh (Joshua Dela Cruz) and the audience solve their first game of Blue’s Clues.

Blue’s Clues & You! will feature brand-new elements alongside refreshed iconic items from the original series, including:

  • New CG-animation for Blue and Magenta;
  • An updated Handy Dandy Notebook equipped with a new blue crayon and smartphone technology, allowing Josh and Blue to receive emails and video calls;
  • An all-new Handy Dandy Guitar;
  • The return of fan-favorite characters: Tickety Tock, Slippery Soap, Shovel, Pail, Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Cinnamon, Paprika, Felt Friends, Sidetable Drawer and Mailbox, plus the original Thinking Chair;
  • And the introduction of Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper’s newest additions—twins Sage and Ginger.

Nickelodeon is further deepening the interactivity of Blue’s Clues & You! with the launch of brand-new play-along videos in Noggin, Nick’s top-ranked interactive learning subscription for preschoolers. Launching alongside the series’ linear premiere, the play-along videos will allow users to explore the stories in an immersive way, and engage with live-action host Josh and the animated characters, by tapping, touching or swiping to navigate through enhanced learning experiences. Preschoolers will also have the ability to customize elements, like the color of the clues or the creation of birthday cards for Blue, and then see their designs appear throughout the video. The classic Blue’s Clues library is currently available on Noggin and additional Blue’s Clues & You! play-along videos will continue to roll out into next year.


Following the series premiere of Blue’s Clues & You!, NickJr.com and the Nick Jr. App will feature original short-form content and full-length episodes. Episodes will also be available on Nick Jr. On Demand and Download-To-Own services.

To celebrate today's announcement, Nick Jr. released brand-new clip of the Blue's Clues reboot. As you can see above, this new clip follows Blue as the famous pup makes a request, but the new host Josh has trouble figuring out what's going on.

The clip begins with Josh telling fans he's unsure of what Blue wants with their snack, but he doesn't get too upset. He pulls out his handy dandy notebook which has gotten a big upgrade. Now, the book is part paper and part phone, so Josh takes a second to ring up some familiar faces.

First, Josh calls up Joe who is working at a present store. The pair talk for a moment before Steve is added to the call. The original host is working at the Blueprints Detective Agency where finding clues is what he does. As the pair all talk about Blue, Steve and Joe decide to chat with Blue directly, and they solve the mystery.

As it turns out, there is only one thing to do. Blue wants to play Blue's Clues, but the pair do one last thing before hanging up. Steve asks to talk to the viewers for a second, and he asks everyone to help Josh.

"Will you help my cousin Josh? Great because I can tell he's going to need a lot of help like I did," Steve says.

2 September, 2019 – Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) announced the launch of the BOOKIDS BY Nickelodeon app, the world’s first mobile subscription offer to a digital library of kids’ books that includes all Nick Jr. and Nickelodeon’s most beloved characters. The exclusive E-Book service is available in France on Android and iOS, as well as an add-on through VIMN’s Pay-TV partners.

‘We’re very excited to announce the launch of our first mobile E-book service of Nickelodeon content in France,’ said Raffaele Annecchino, President and MD of VIMN Southern and Western Europe, Middle East and Africa, and President of Digital Mobile Strategy for VIMN, ‘Bookids by Nickelodeon is an innovative digital library that will give kids and families even more ways to interact with our content, now available via our E-book app on all their mobile devices.’


The app offers nearly 200 e-books published by Nickelodeon and will be refreshed with an average of 10 new books every month. Kids can read books featuring their favourite Nickelodeon heroes such as SpongeBob, PAW Patrol, Ninja Turtles, The Loud House, Dora The Explorer, Shimmer and Shine, and Blaze and the Monster Machines.

The user-friendly digital library is divided by themes and ages (“3-7 years” and “6-12 years”). Categories include:

  • « AUDIO BOOKS»: children can read along while listening to the story, improving their reading abilities
  • « ILLUSTRATED BOOKS » for toddlers
  • « CHAPTER BOOKS » for grown ups
  • « ACTIVITY BOOKS » books with interactive games: drawing, coloring, puzzles

These categories will be updated with other event categories (Holiday Specials, PAW Patrol Specials, SpongeBob SquarePants’ 20th Anniversary etc.).


BOOKIDS BY Nickelodeon features an off-line connection mode, a “progressive download” system and a “multitask mode” for audio books.

Available on mobile and tablet via Android and IOS, the app will be on Google Play and the App Store for 6.99€ per month (incl. taxes). The app will include an operator authentication system for pay TV or mobile subscribers wishing to access BOOKIDS By Nickelodeon. The service will be bundled within the SFR’s (French Telecommunications Company) kids offer.

Nickelodeon France will launch Bookids, a brand-new subscription-based digital book service for kids, on Saturday 31st August 2019!


Designed for children aged between 3-12 years old, Bookids will offer subscribers illustrated books, novels and audio books, as well as a selection of games and colouring in albums, all featuring beloved characters from hit Nickelodeon and Nickelodeon Junior shows, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Nella the Princess Knight, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, PAW Patrol and Dora the Explorer.

The ad-free app, which features a interface similar to that of Netflix, will contain more than two hundred books in total and will be enriched with ten new titles each month.

Bookids will be available to download for Apple iOS and Android devices for free from the App Store and Google Play.

Bookids costs €6,99 a month, and currently has two special offers available: €15.99 for 3 months and €29.99 6 months.

The news follows Nickelodeon Denmark (Danmark) launching "Nick Stories", a similar subscription-based digital reading service that invites kids into the adventurous world of books, earlier this year.

Arrivée dans le Google Play et l’App Store, l’application Bookids réunit tous les personnages des chaînes Nickelodeon. Une offre de lecture pour enfants, mais pas simplement : livres audio, de coloriage, romans, magazines et jeux sont au programme. Récemment, Viacom (propriétaire de Nickelodeon) a fusionné avec CBS, propriétaire du groupe éditorial Simon & Schuster. De quoi apporter de nouvelles perspectives dans la consolidation des empires de chacun… La division jeunesse de l’éditeur profitera certainement de la force de frappe des chaînes du groupe, sous peu.
