Ellen DeGeneres recently announced the exciting news on a recent episode of her number-one talk show, The Ellen Show, that kid rapper and aspiring actor Young Dylan will be guest starring on a special guest episode of Nickelodeon's All That revival!
During Young Dylan's (real name Dylan Gilmer) interview on The Ellen Show, Dylan revealed that his dream is to start an acting career and star on a Nickelodeon show. Ellen then surprises Dylan by bringing out '90s Nickelodeon star and OG All That cast member Kenan Thompson, who's also executive producing Nick's All That revival! After coming on stage playing the All That theme song on his phone, Kenan surprised Dylan by announcing that The Ellen Show has arranged for him to guest star on a episode of the All That reboot!
During the segment, Dylan also revealed that he had only watched Kenan's hit Nickelodeon movie, Good Burger, based on a classic All That sketch, with his mom just the night before!

Nickelodeon Benelux has announced the aweslime news that, following the slime-tastic success of Nickelodeon Netherlands' (Nederland) first-ever Nickelodeon Familie Festival in 2018, Nickelodeon Familie Festival will return this summer, bigger and better than before!
Taking place once again at the beach in Almere on Sunday 25th August 2019 between 10:00 - 19:00 uur, Nickelodeon Familie Festival is a family-centric festival specially designed for kids aged 6-12 years and their parents. The entire day will feature live performances from many well-known Dutch artists, meet and greets with popular YouTube stars & vloggers as well as Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. heroes, including SpongeBob SquarePants and the pups from PAW Patrol, plus lots of activities inspired by hit Nickelodeon shows. For the smallest festival goers, there will be a special Nick Jr. Playzone.
On the festival grounds, attendees will be able to choose from a wide and varied selection of healthy eating options.

Vorig jaar organiseerde multiplatform merk Nickelodeon het eerste Nickelodeon Familie Festival. Meer dan 12.000 kinderen en volwassenen beleefden een dag vol familieplezier. De kaartverkoop van de Early Bird-kaartjes is dinsdag gestart. De eerste editie van het Nickelodeon Familie Festival trok vorig jaar meer dan 12.000 kinderen en volwassenen. Artiesten als Nielson, Kraantje Pappie en Ronnie Flex traden op.
Parque de Atracciones de Madrid is 50 years old, and to celebrate, the Spanish theme park, home of Nickelodeon Land Spain, will be throwing a huge party during 2019 Fiestas de San Isidro Madrid, which takes place in Madrid, Spain between Saturday 11th Wednesday 15th May 2019! As part of their birthday party, the amusement park will debut "Los Conciertos del Parque" from Yllana company, which will include new street shows by popular Nickelodeon characters as well as performances inspired by Spanish artists and a tribute to the band, Queen!

El Parque de Atracciones de Madrid celebra su 50 aniversario en el Día de San Isidro para lo que reabrirá el Gran Teatro Auditorio como un espacio para celebrar espectáculos, galas musicales y eventos empresariales y expondrá una serie de fotografías históricas. [Img #84838]Según ha informado el parque este miércoles en un comunicado, con motivo de su aniversario, se desarrollarán nuevas propuestas como el cine en 4D con la película 'Knights Guest' y la incorporación de nuevos espectáculos musicales para toda la familia.
Así, se estrenarán 'Los Conciertos del Parque', de la compañía Yllana, que incluirán actuaciones que recuerdan a grandes artistas nacionales, además de un show en tributo a Queen y nuevos espectáculos de calle de los personajes de Nickelodeon.
En este sentido, este verano se realizará la exposición de fotos históricas desde 1969 hasta la actualidad de las 50 mejores fotos del parque que los visitantes hayan conservado, a los que han invitado a participar en el concurso enviando sus fotos a través del blog de la organización. Además, durante el próximo Halloween volverá la atracción de 'El Viejo Caserón'.
Así, el Parque de Atracciones de Madrid abrió en 1969 y ha recibido en estos años más de 100 millones de visitantes. Así albergó la primera montaña rusa construida en España, la conocida como '7 Picos', aunque se retiró en 2005 para dar cabida a nuevas atracciones.
Actualmente, se cuenta con otras montañas rusas como 'Abismo' con una altura de 49 metros y una velocidad de 100 kilómetros hora y otras atracciones destacadas como 'La Lanzadera' con una caída libre de 80 kilómetros hora y 63 metros de altura, junto con 'Tornado', 'La Máquina' o 'Las Sillas Voladoras'.

Desde que abriera sus puertas en 1969, el Parque de Atracciones de Madrid fue el espacio pionero en España en reunir variedad de atracciones y espectáculos para toda la familia. La reapertura del Gran Teatro Auditorio, el estreno de espectáculos musicales, una exposición de fotos históricas y la nueva oferta gastronómica son algunas de las novedades que enmarcarán el 50º aniversario. El Parque de Atracciones de Madrid se prepara para la celebración de su 50º aniversario el próximo 15 de mayo, festividad de San Isidro y día en el que el parque abrió sus puertas en el año 1969. Desde entonces y a lo largo de su medio siglo de vida, el emblemático Parque de Atracciones ha recibido a más de 100 millones de visitantes para ofrecer los mejores momentos de diversión, emociones y adrenalina. El Parque de Atracciones de Madrid ha crecido junto a varias generaciones de españoles y se ha consolidado como el espacio pionero en reunir variedad de atracciones y espectáculos para grandes y pequeños.
La inauguración del Parque de Atracciones en el año 1969 fue un éxito en la capital, ya que reunió a más de 50.000 personas que asistieron a la apertura de un lugar novedoso en Madrid; este hecho supuso el inicio de un nuevo negocio de entretenimiento y ocio en España. Desde la década de los 70, el Parque de Atracciones ha vivido diferentes etapas hasta consolidarse como un espacio de ocio que ha evolucionado junto al visitante, ofreciéndole nuevas propuestas de entretenimiento en un entorno de naturaleza único en La Casa de Campo de Madrid, considerado en 2010 Bien de Interés Cultural (en la categoría de Sitio Histórico).
¿Quién no recuerda la carismática mascota Napy (oso ‘chulapo’ cuya seña de identidad era la boina, chaqueta y pañuelo al cuello), las calcomanías de acceso al parque, la popular canción del Parque de Atracciones o las primeras atracciones en las que nos montamos? Todo esto y mucho más será recordado durante 2019 en el Parque de Atracciones de Madrid.
Atracciones históricas y pioneras
La primera montaña rusa construida en España, 7 Picos, fue uno de los mayores acontecimientos para los madrileños en 1969; la popular atracción, ya por entonces una de las mayores montañas rusas de Europa en esa época, recogió emociones no vividas hasta entonces por muchos visitantes que la recuerdan actualmente con especial cariño. Aunque se retiró en el año 2005 para dar cabida a nuevas atracciones, el Parque de Atracciones tiene expuesto uno de los vagones en representación del querido ‘7 picos’ que acompañó las primeras décadas de entretenimiento y diversión de miles de madrileños.
Con otras atracciones populares como fue el barco Mississipi, Las Alfombras Mágicas, el Viejo Caserón, el Tiovivo o Top Spin (estas dos últimas siguen en activo), el Parque de Atracciones de Madrid se convertía en un lugar innovador para todos los españoles, ya que era la primera vez que se disfrutaba de un gran espacio de ocio al aire libre con multitud de atracciones de emoción, aventura y adrenalina, hasta el momento no conocidas por el público.
Las primeras atracciones del Parque de Atracciones de Madrid han sido adaptadas y reemplazadas a lo largo de estos 50 años. La nueva generación de montañas rusas se ha incorporado para dar lugar a las más de 30 atracciones con las que cuenta el parque actualmente. Los más atrevidos pueden sentir la adrenalina y emoción con montañas rusas de última generación como Abismo, con una altura de 49 metros y una velocidad de 100km/h. La Lanzadera es la mejor forma de experimentar el "puenting" seguro sin salir de Madrid con una caída libre a 80 km/h desde 63 metros de altura, o la montaña rusa invertida de Tornado, con trepidantes loopings, giros, subidas y veloces bajadas. La Máquina, Las Sillas Voladoras, Tifón o el famoso Top Spin son otras de las atracciones de mayor éxito entre los jóvenes. Otro de los atractivos principales es la diversión que experimentan los visitantes con las atracciones de agua como Los Rápidos, Fiordos o Aserradero, con los que refrescarse en los meses más calurosos del verano.
Entretenimiento familiar
Desde su apertura, el Parque de Atracciones de Madrid se ha dirigido a un público familiar para que abuelos, padres y niños disfruten juntos de una jornada de diversión. Fruto de este posicionamiento más familiar, el Parque de Atracciones se unió estratégicamente en 2014 con la marca de entretenimiento infantil Nickelodeon con el objetivo de crear Nickelodeon Land, zona tematizada de gran popularidad dirigida al público infantil. Es el lugar donde vivir una experiencia de dibujos animados y hacer realidad el sueño más deseado de los niños.
Las que fueron mascotas emblemáticas del Parque de Atracciones como Napy o Trasto han dado paso a los divertidos personajes de Nickelodeon como La Patrulla Canina, Bob Esponja, Dora la Exploradora o las Tortugas Ninja, con los que actualmente disfrutan los más pequeños de la casa en un entorno protagonizado por divertidas atracciones infantiles. Visitar a Bob Esponja en la piña más famosa de Fondo Bikini y montarse en el trenecito de Nickelodeon Express o en la montaña rusa de Patrulla Canina son las experiencias que más disfrutan los pequeños.
Novedades 50º aniversario
Con motivo de la celebración de los 50 años, el Parque de Atracciones se engalana para homenajear el medio siglo de un lugar histórico de diversión en Madrid.
Una de las novedades durante 2019 será la reapertura del Gran Teatro Auditorio, espacio que reunió durante la década de los 80 y 90 a numerosos artistas de la escena musical. Sobre el escenario del auditorio actuaron cantantes como Julio Iglesias, Massiel, Rocío Jurado, Raphael, Rocío Dúrcal, Alaska y Dinarama, Isabel Pantoja, Camilo Sexto, Tequila, El Fary, Paloma San Basilio, Sergio Dalma, Joan Manuel Serrat, Miguel Ríos, Mecano o Miguel Bosé, entre otros muchos. Una de las anécdotas más significativas fue el concierto de Camilo Sesto en 1979, ya que sobrepasó el aforo, reuniendo a más de 45.000 personas. Tras una gran remodelación el auditorio reabrirá sus puertas como espacio exclusivo en la Comunidad de Madrid para la celebración de espectáculos, galas musicales y eventos empresariales.
El público disfrutará de atracciones con nuevas propuestas como el cine en 4D con la película ‘Knights Guest’.
Otra de las novedades que conllevarán los actos de celebración del 50º aniversario será la incorporación de nuevos espectáculos musicales para toda la familia. El Parque de Atracciones estrenará, junto a la compañía Yllana, ‘Los Conciertos del Parque’, actuación que rememorará éxitos de grandes artistas nacionales que pasaron por las tablas del auditorio. Además, se celebrará un show en tributo a Queen o nuevos espectáculos de calle de los divertidos personajes de Nickelodeon.
Durante el verano, los miles de visitantes del Parque de Atracciones podrán disfrutar de una exposición de fotos históricas desde 1969 hasta la actualidad. Además, se hará partícipe a todos los visitantes de este recorrido fotográfico, ya que se seleccionarán para una parte de la muestra las 50 mejores fotos en el Parque de Atracciones que los madrileños conservan hoy en día en sus álbumes familiares. Todos los que lo desean pueden participar en el concurso enviando sus fotos a través del blog.
Además, durante Halloween, temporada estrella del parque, volverá El Viejo Caserón, una de las atracciones preferidas de miedo aterrador y escenas lúgubres. El pasaje The Walking Dead, permanente durante todo el año, ha incorporado recientemente nuevas escenas para todos los amantes de la popular serie de terror.
Por otra parte, la oferta gastronómica siempre ha sido esencial en el Parque de Atracciones de Madrid, a través de la renovación constante de los servicios de restauración en los últimos 50 años. Actualmente, el parque cuenta con varios puntos de restauración que se encuentran a la vanguardia, como el Mercado de San Isidro. En este espacio gastronómico los visitantes pueden degustar platos típicos de Madrid a través de una carta diseñada y elaborada por el chef Mario Sandoval. El cocinero con 2 estrellas Michelín presenta una variedad de platos culinarios madrileños adaptados a cada tipo de público.
El Parque de Atracciones de Madrid, perteneciente al Grupo Parques Reunidos, fue el primogénito de la actual gran familia formada por 17 parques de ocio en España. At Dia de Brincar, the idea is to welcome everyone who wants to enjoy a day outdoors to play alongside popular characters from Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. Dia de Brincar will feature a big stage for performances, as well as play dozens of activities and recreational games designed to stimulate physical activity, reasoning, musical skills, citizenship and the interaction between friends, parents and children.
This year's theme encourages children to make their 'Giant Dreams' a reality through the use of imagination, in a gigantic place with the best companies. Nickelodeon's main objective continues to be to welcome children, friends and families with open arms so that they can enjoy a fun-oriented day with the presence of beloved Nickelodeon properties that appeal to all the audience. Last year's Dia de Brincar welcomed 32,000 attendees, who enjoyed activities such as Yoga, Ninja Dance and Rock Band in addition to performances, comedy and inflatable toys. Dia de Brincar 2019 aims to beat last year's record so that this edition is even better and, consequently, a real success.
In addition to the activities that will soon be announced, Dia de Brincar 2019 will feature a meet & greet tent with Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.'s most beloved characters, as well as a children's identification service at the entrance to the event via wristbands.
In order to avoid queues, limited passwords for toys and activities will also be distributed.
The park has a food area will attendees will be able to purchase food and drink.
Limited parking will be available, however, Nickelodeon recommends that attendees use public transportation, taxis and applications to arrive to the event.

Convenção sobre os direitos da criança comemora 30 anos

No dia 25 de maio, sábado, das 10h às 17h, os canais Nickelodeon e Nick Jr. promovem a 4ª edição do ‘Dia de Brincar’ no Parque Villa-Lobos, em São Paulo. Este ano, pela primeira vez, o UNICEF apoia o evento. “Em 2019, estamos comemorando os 30 anos da Convenção sobre os Direitos da Criança, adotada pela Assembleia Geral da ONU em 20 de novembro de 1989. É um bom momento para lembrar que a brincadeira é um direito essencial para o desenvolvimento integral de todas as meninas e todos os meninos, que gera impactos em sua vida toda”, diz Adriana Alvarenga, chefe do escritório do UNICEF em São Paulo.
O UNICEF já atua em parceria com a Nickelodeon há alguns anos, com a campanha Together for Good (Melhoradores), unindo forças para incentivar crianças em todo o mundo a combater a discriminação e a desigualdade em suas escolas e comunidades. Com o tema da inclusão social em seu núcleo, o objetivo da parceria é dar às crianças os recursos para apoiar o UNICEF em sua busca para garantir que cada criança e cada adolescente possa atingir seu pleno potencial.
Em 2018, por exemplo, a Nickelodeon, em parceria com a Fundação KidsRights, anunciou o #KidsCan – campanha internacional que destacou as histórias de nove ganhadores do ‘International Children’s Peace Price’ (Prêmio Internacional da Paz Infantil), além de outros indicados de todo o mundo que provocam mudanças positivas em suas comunidades. O objetivo da campanha foi debater os direitos de crianças e adolescentes e encorajá-los a transformar o mundo em um lugar melhor.
“É uma honra ter o UNICEF como nosso parceiro e apoiador no Dia de Brincar. A Nick procura oferecer sempre o melhor para as crianças e nosso discurso é muito alinhado com o do UNICEF, colocando a criança e o adolescente em primeiro ligar”, diz Jimmy Leroy, VP de Criação da Nickelodeon Brasil.

(NASDAQ: HAS), today revealed a first look at MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #40 by the all -star team of acclaimed writer Ryan Parrott (Go Go Power Rangers) and Shattered Grid artist Daniele di Nicuolo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). This will kick off the first issue of the epic Power Rangers event, Necessary Evil, with the first appearance of a mysterious new team of Rangers that answers one of the biggest mysteries in PowerRangers history, arriving June 26, 2019.
The new series creative team consisting of writer Ryan Parrott (Go Go Power Rangers) and artist Daniele Di Nicuolo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) commences a bold new era as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are back in Angel Grove …with the White Ranger as their leader! MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #40 features a main cover by Jamal Campbell (Naomi), as well as a special foil variant of the iconic Helmet Covers featuring the White Ranger by fan favorite artist Goñi Montes (Sandman Universe), a series of collectible Trading Card variant covers by Kris Anka (Runaways), exclusive Story Variant covers written by Ryan Parrott and illustrated by Dan Mora (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and more.
Now fans can collect each of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in a new set of Trading Card Variant covers, illustrated by Kris Anka and designed by Dylan Todd. The MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #40 cover by Anka features the brave leader of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Tommy Oliver, with an image of the White Ranger in action on the front, and all his stats on the back cover, including his team name, alias, biography, and details of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ first encounter with Tommy as the Green Ranger.
Fans can’t miss the exclusive story available only on the MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS Story Variant covers. When All That returns to Nickelodeon this summer, there will be some very familiar faces helping usher in the new cast!
Now this is All That.
Back in February during Nickelodeon Upfront 2019, Nickelodeon announced that they were teaming with Kenan Thompson to revive All That, the beloved sketch show that launched the careers of Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Nick Cannon, and Amanda Bynes. On Thursday, the network revealed that Mitchell and fellow original cast members Lori Beth Denberg and Josh Server will guest-star when the new iteration’s premieres this summer, helping to usher in the new cast.

Executive produced by Thompson, Mitchell and Kevin Kay, All That will feature a new group of kids, but, in addition to returning cast members, it will also revive some classic sketches like Good Burger, Vital Information, and Loud Librarian. The new cast of seven kids will be revealed at a later date.
Jermaine Fowler is serving as consulting producer on the All That revival.
The original All That ran from 1994-2005 on Nickelodeon. The sketched comedy series helped launch the careers of Thompson, Mitchell, Denberg, Server, Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon, Gabriel Iglesias and Jamie Lynn Spears, among others.
The return of All That was announced in February 2019 and it's just one of the many revivals in the works at the kid-focused network. A new Rugrats series and movie is in production, as is a new Are You Afraid of the Dark?movie and miniseries.
"We have a laser focus on who kids are today, and what they want, so we are making a wider variety of shows and series for them, and we're working with brand-new kinds of talent and producers," Nickelodeon's president Brian Robbins said in a statement when the reboots were announced. "We have a new creative team in place and a renewed energy that we're harnessing to bring the buzz back to Nick."
Production Weekly has unveiled more details about Paramount Players's movie adaptation of the '90s Nickelodeon horror anthology series Are You Afraid of the Dark?!
The official synopsis for Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark? miniseries is: "A group of kids meet in secret every week to tell scary stories in the woods. They're call the Midnight Society. But when a new girl arrives in town and auditions to join the group... things begin to get spooky. A reboot of the classic '90s Nickelodeon show."
The production listing also reveals that filming for the movie will begin Monday, June 10th and wrap Friday, July 19th in Vancouver, Canada, as well as the production credits are:

Now, here's where it gets confusing. The production listing for the Are You Afraid of the Dark? project lists it as a new miniseries, although it has the movies' production credits. Paramount Players announced last year that they were producing a new movie adaptation of the '90s Nickelodeon hit. The only major difference is Dean Israelite (2017's Power Rangers movie) is now sitting in the directors chair, taking over from D.J. Caruso (Disturbia, xXx: Return of Xander Cage).
The Are You Afraid of the Dark? movie was set to be released in October this year, but Paramount Pictures recently took the film off their 2019 release schedule. Could Paramount and Nickelodeon have changed their minds about their Are You Afraid of the Dark? movie, and are now releasing it as a miniseries? The Are You Afraid of the Dark? miniseries was announced during Nickelodeon Upfront 2019 in February, and is slated to premiere in October 2019.
Of course, it could easily be just a typo, and it's the movie that's being filming in June 2019, not the miniseries.
Israelite made his feature film debut with the found-footage time travel flick Project Almanac. He then went on to direct Saban's 2017 Power Rangers, based on the wildly popular and long-running franchise. Next, he will write and direct Amblin’s supernatural thriller Minotaur.
It was recently revealed that The Prodigy director Nicholas McCarthy delivered the latest draft of the movie's script.
"I actually just turned in the script and we’re all pretty excited about it," he told SYFY WIRE. "I think the target is to shoot it this summer. I’ve had an absolute blast. There’s been a couple of writers before who have tried to crack it, and I think I’ve done it with this version. I love the series, too, and I’ve already had an amazing time writing it. The people that are behind it also love the series and it’s just been really really cool."
The "couple of writers" to which McCarthy refers are Gary Dauberman (It: Chapters 1 & 2) and BenDavid Grabinski (Skiptrace). When he was still writing an earlier draft of the screenplay last September, Dauberman promised that he would be sticking to the spirit of the original series, which could be incredibly frightening at times. McCarthy also went back to the beloved source material, rewatching those episodes that are truly representative of the show as a whole.
"I couldn’t watch all 90 or whatever it is, but I revisited a huge ton of them," he continued with a laugh. "I shouldn’t say too much more about it because I don’t know how they’re gonna frame what they’re doing with it. I don’t think any of the other writers who have been on it before have talked about the direction of the big screen version, but as a fan of the series and as someone who has really enjoyed going back and watching them, I’ve been really keen to try to capture the spirit of what makes that show so great."
Originally slated to open Oct. 11 of this year, it is now unclear when the movie version of Are You Afraid of the Dark? will reach theater-going audiences. After all, if the project plans to shoot over the summer, there's almost no way it can make a fall 2019 release. Indeed, fans may have to wait until Halloween of 2020 (most high-profile horror films usually open around the spooky holiday) to see it.
In addition, McCarthy confirmed that the tie-in miniseries, set to air on Nickelodeon this October (unless it's being pushed off with the film's production schedule), is still happening, although he isn't involved with it in any way. The Are You Afraid of the Dark? miniseries is slated to start filming in Vancouver, Canada on Monday, May 27, 2019.
Are You Afraid of the Dark? is a Canadian Twilight Zone-esqie anthology series created by D.J. MacHale and Ned Kandel. It revolves around a group of teenagers who called themselves the Midnight Society that meet weekly at a secret location in the woods, where one member tells a scary story to the rest of the group, some of which are based on public domain fairy tales, short stories or urban legends. Subjects range from abandoned houses and vampires to scary clowns, witches and aliens.
The series debuted in 1990 on the Canadian children's channel YTV and was picked up by Nickelodeon USA in 1991, though it didn’t debut until SNICK’s launch on Saturday, Aug. 15, 1992. The show ran until April 1996, and a revival series with new writers, directors, writers and cast members was produced by Nickelodeon from 1999 to 2000. In all, the series ran for 91 episodes over seven seasons. Tia and Tamera Mowry (Sister, Sister), Will Friedle (Boy Meets World), Neve Campbell, Hayden Christensen, Jay Baruchel, Tatyana Ali, Melissa Joan Hart (Clarissa Explains It All, Sabrina the Teenage Witch), Jewel Staite (Space Cases), Emily VanCamp, and two-time Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling are just a few of the household names who have lent their acting skills to the anthology.
Each episode is introduced with the storyteller saying “Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society,” who then would announce the title of that segment. MacHale said the line was a tribute to the series The Twilight Zone, in which creator Rod Serling would introduce the episode by saying, “submitted for your approval.”
Paramount Players is a new division at Paramount Pictures that focuses on contemporary talent and properties for young audiences while drawing upon the vast resources of the Viacom brands. Nickelodeon is one of those Viacom brands, which Paramount Players will be releasing Dora and the Lost City of Gold, a live-action movie inspired by Nickelodeon's beloved animated preschool series, in Summer 2019.
