Nickelodeon Netherlands (Nederland) has announced the exciting Nickelodeon International news in the following press release, from Nick Netherlands' online press office, that, following the success of "Zoop" and "Huis Anubis", Nickelodeon Netherlands will start to premiere and show "Spotlight", a brand-new locally produced series, weekdays at 7:30pm from Monday 25th May 2015! Nickelodeon Belgium (België) will also start to premiere and show "Spotlight" weekdays at 7:25pm from Monday 25th May 2015!


"Spotlight" is all-new new scripted reality series set at Podium, a drama school that specialises in the development of artistic talent in the entertainment industry. The series offers the viewer a glimpse into the lives of five young talented students at the theatrical school where pupils are groomed for a career in the spotlight.

In "Spotlight", students Sanne, Lynn, Fem, Kess and Joris share their wishes, dreams, mischief, fears and setbacks with viewers. They show the bumpy road to adulthood: from new friendships to being the best in your dance class, and singing a song about your first love. All with the goal of life in the spotlight. Well-known Dutch actors, singers and choreographers make their appearance in this brand new series and play themselves.


"Spotlight" joins the students at the beginning of the new school year, in which they get to know each other and get used to their new surroundings. The series will feature the students experiencing the big city, keys, strict teachers, too little pocket money, hormones, love, disappointments and.... great friends!


"Spotlight" aims encourages, confronts and inspires kids. The variety of recognizable and exciting stories with song, dance, music and cabaret and the talented cast make the series interesting, fun and attractive for viewers young and old to watch!

In navolging van succesvolle Nederlandse series 'Zoop' en 'Huis Anubis' komt Nickelodeon nu met 'Spotlight'

Nieuwe dagelijkse serie vanaf maandag 25 mei


'Spotlight' is een nieuwe scripted reality serie en speelt zich af op theaterschool 't Podium. Een school die naast regulier onderwijs, zich specialiseert in de ontwikkeling van artistiek talent in de entertainment branche.

Deze nieuwe Nederlandse serie gunt de kijker een kijkje in het leven van vijf jonge talentvolle scholieren op een bijzondere middelbare school waar leerlingen worden klaargestoomd voor een carrière in de spotlights.

Leerlingen Sanne, Lynn, Fem, Kess en Joris delen hun wensen, dromen, kattenkwaad, angsten en ongemakkelijkheden met de kijker. Ze laten de hobbelige weg naar volwassenheid zien: van nieuwe vriendschappen tot de beste zijn in je dansklas, maar ook het zingen van een nummer over je eerste liefde. Allemaal met als doel een leven in de spotlights. Bekende Nederlandse acteurs, zangers en choreografen maken hun opwachting in deze gloednieuwe serie en spelen zichzelf.

'Spotlight' start in het begin van het schooljaar op 't Podium. De leerlingen kennen elkaar nog maar een paar weken en moeten nog steeds wennen aan hun nieuwe omgeving. De grote stad, toetsen, strenge docenten, te weinig zakgeld, hormonen, verliefdheid, teleurstellingen en…. geweldige vrienden!

The television listings website Zap2it is reporting the exciting Nick News that Nickelodeon USA will debut the movie "Holiday in the Sun", starring Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, on Friday 8th May 2015 at 7:00pm ET/PT, following a new episode of Mary-Kate and Ashley's popular sitcom "So Little Time", called "Rules of Engagement", at 6:30pm ET/PT!


"Holiday in the Sun" follows Madison and Alex, twin sisters who are whisked away to the Bahamas for winter break but soon find themselves crossing paths with a man smuggling stolen artifacts. The movie also features Megan Fox ("Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", "Transformers") in one of her first roles!

Brian Tee Cast To Play Shredder In "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2"

Variety is reporting the Turtley Awesome news that Brian Tee ("The Wolverine") has been cast as the iconic villain Shredder in Nickelodeon Movies, Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes'"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2", a sequel to Nick and Paramount's 2014 fun-filled and action-packed blockbuster "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie!

He'll join Megan Fox (April O’Neil), Will Arnett (Vern Fenwick), Stephen Amell (Casey Jones) and Tyler Perry (Baxter Stockman) in the Paramount sequel.

Tee recently finished filming NBC drama pilot "Love Is a 4 Letter Word" from director George Tillman Jr. and writer-producer Diana Son. He'll next be seen in Universal's "Jurassic World", playing the role of Takashi Hamada. No stranger to popular franchises, Tee's credits also include "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" and "Mortal Kombat: Legacy".

Tee is repped by Abrams Artists Agency, manager Lisa DiSante-Frank, Sabrina Hutchinson Public Relations and attorney Mark Johnson of Behr, Abramson, Levy.

Shredder was portrayed by Tohoru Masamune in the 2014 movie.

John Trabbic III, a Storyboard Artist at Nickelodeon Animation Studio, has announced the exciting news in a post on his official Tumblr blog that Nickelodeon USA is planning to start to premiere and show Nickelodeon's brand-new original animated series (NickToon) "Pig Goat Banana Cricket" during Fall (Autumn) 2015!

"Pig Goat Banana Cricket" features a series of absurd interwoven stories about four friends and roommates, naive Pig (the fool), bohemian Goat (the artist), selfish Banana (the wise-guy) and mad scientist Cricket (the brain). Created by Dave Cooper and Johnny Ryan, established comic artists who worked on several issues of Nickelodeon Magazine, and executive produced by David Sacks ("The Simpsons", "Regular Show") who co-writes with J. Ryan. Dave Cooper also art directs the series and the pilot was directed by independent animator Nick Cross.


Nickelodeon is expected to announce more information and news about "Pig Goat Banana Cricket" at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2015.

RMS International Extends Deal With Nickelodeon for "SpongeBob SquarePants" Arts And Crafts

RMS International has extended its partnership with Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) UK & Ireland for a range of "SpongeBob SquarePants"-inspired arts and crafts products across the UK and Ireland!


The firm, known for its Graphix and Block Tech toy brands and its stationery, art and craft and activity ranges, initially agreed on the licensing deal to run from January 2014 until September 2016.


Since then, the company has manufactured 19 "SpongeBob SquarePants" ranges, including puzzles, inflatable bop bags and colouring craft kits.

The new deal will add to RMS International's growing portfolio of brands and licenses with more to be announced later this year.

"We had been working on the licence agreement with Nickelodeon for several months and are delighted to have become a licensee," said RMS.

"The new range of products are great for kids with a creative side who want something to keep them amused. The products are of great quality yet well within pocket money budget, and with the recent SpongeBob SquarePants cinematic release, we are hoping they will fly off the shelves."

The initial line of children's arts & crafts, stationery and novelty items are now available at The Entertainer, CDS–The Range, W.Boyes, Store 21 and Pound Stretcher stores across the UK and Ireland.

NICKELODEON GREENLIGHTS SECOND SEASON OF DAILY SCRIPTED MUSICAL COMEDY SERIES, MAKE IT POP


Santa Monica, Calif., – May 4, 2015 – Nickelodeon today announced it has renewed its hit live-action, music-infused daily strip, Make It Pop, for a second season with 20 episodes. Demonstrating Nick's commitment to innovative formats and storytelling, since launch, Make It Pop is Nick's #1 show with K6-11 and G6-11. The series ranks as the most-watched long-form content on Nick.com and on the Nick App. The announcement was made by Russell Hicks, Nickelodeon's President of Content Development and Production. Make It Pop season one will debut on Nickelodeon's international channels beginning this summer.

Filled with new songs, lots of laughs and heart, season two sees Sun Hi, Corki, Jodi and Caleb continue their coming-of-age journey. After their triumph with the school musical, the band XO-IQ is called upon to represent Mackendrick Prep at a high stakes battle of bands and a new musical rival emerges.

"Once again, Nick has successfully tapped into a cultural force and created a meaningful, daily connection by bridging our audience with great, relatable storytelling and a shared love of music," said Hicks.

Make It Pop is a half-hour comedic, music-infused daily scripted series that follows three unique girls – social-media maven Sun Hi (Megan Lee), bookish Corki (Erika Tham), and fashion-forward Jodi (Louriza Tronco) – who come together with DJ hopeful Caleb (Dale Whibley) over their love of music to form their own K-pop inspired band. Nickelodeon has announced the Turtley Awesome news in their latest TMNT promo that Nickelodeon USA will premiere the brand new episode of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" season three titled "Meet Mondo Gecko", which introduces fan-favorite Mondo Gecko on Sunday 10th May 2015 at 11:00am ET/PT!

Mondo Gecko is a mutant Leopard Gecko with a zeal for skateboarding who first appeared in the hit 1980's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" animated series. In Nickelodeon's hit CG-animated series, Mondo Gecko will be voiced by Robbie Rist, who voiced Michelangelo in the live-action "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movies in the 1990's.

Not much is known about the reboot film, other than that it will focus on a group of teenagers with special powers, who band together to fight evildoers bent on destroying the globe, and that the original Green Ranger actor Jason David Frank is expected to appear. Lionsgate, the studio behind the "Hunger Games" franchise, is distributing the film. Original "Power Rangers" creator Haim Saban is producing, alongside "Hunger Games" producer Allison Shearmur.

Street Dogg is a cool, funny, friendly guy who is always eager to rhyme with the kids. During the special, Sanjay and Craig discover that Street Dogg was once part of a rap duo with none other than Remington Tufflips, the boys' action-movie idol. They set out to reunite the former pair, but their failed efforts only lead to a town divided—and the mother of all rap battles!

NEW YORK, April 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, three New York City businesswomen and one high school student were honored as part of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America's 22nd annual Women of Distinction Luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. Eliza Bolen, executive vice president of Oscar de la Renta, was honored as the Woman of Distinction in Fashion. Cyma Zarghami, president of Viacom's Kids and Family Group, was honored as the Woman of Distinction in Business. Lara Englebardt Metz of Lara Metz Nutrition was honored as the Woman of Distinction in Nutrition & Health. Chloe Hubbe, a ninth grade student at Columbia Preparatory School, was honored as this year's Rising Star.

"My mom has had Crohn's disease all my life -- it's changed who I am and inspired me to help others living with these diseases and educate my peers about Crohn's and ulcerative colitis," said Chloe Hubbe. "I've volunteered and raised money for Camp Oasis, a summer camp that supports children living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Veteran news reporter and Crohn's disease patient Cynthia McFadden of NBC News hosted this year's luncheon. This year's luncheon also featured a fashion show from Oscar de la Renta, showcasing its Fall 2015 collection for the first time in New York. Woodblock Creates Fresh IDs for Nickelodeon

New Nickelodeon bumpers come in a range of animation techniques, including stop-motion and traditional 2D.


BERLIN -- Animation prodco Woodblock teamed up with the creative team at Nickelodeon Germany to develop a series of four new bumpers for Nickelodeon.

From the very beginning, this project was a collaborative process with the client allowing a great deal of creative freedom to the directors and their teams. Woodblock's directors were involved from the earliest stage, including development of concepts. Each director was given the opportunity to develop an idea he was truly excited about without any limitation in style or technique. This resulted in a variety of unique styles, including traditional stop-motion and 2D animation.

The production process occurred over a very relaxed timeframe, so all the projects were able to be finished until everyone was fully satisfied with the final result.

Nickelodeon Germany has announced the exciting Nickelodeon International news on their "Nick Pressecenter" that Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland) and Nickelodeon Switzerland (Swiss/Schweiz) will start to premiere and show "Little Charmers", a brand-new animated preschool series that celebrates the magic of friendship, weekdays from Monday 8th June 2015!

The new animated series, "ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks", created by Janice Karman, will take pre-schoolers on a roller-coaster ride of music, laughter and stories geared to entertain four generations of "The Chipmunks" fans. Presented for the first time in glorious CGI, the series features ground-breaking animation and a new, original Chipmunk song in every episode. The series is an animated version of a prime-time sitcom and reflects the trials and tribulations of a single parent, David Seville, trying to raise six hyper-active Chipmunks. Like most parents, Dave's patience will be pushed to the limit, forcing him to end most sentences in "ALVINNN!!!"


"ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks" is created, written, produced, voiced and directed by Janice Karman. She and her husband, Ross Bagdasarian, are the owners of the popular Chipmunks franchise and producers of the previous 1980's hit TV series and three blockbuster Chipmunks movies. Although it's one of the toughest races their team has ever faced, best friends Blaze and AJ know they have what it takes to beat Crusher--the unstoppable power of friendship! Despite Crusher's attempt to cheat and trap Blaze in a cave far off the course before the race begins, AJ manages to free his best friend while overcoming larger-than-life obstacles along the way. Crusher tries to cheat one last time along the route, but Blaze and AJ prove no one can beat best friends by winning the race in a thrilling finale. Throughout the half-hour special, preschoolers will be introduced to the STEM concept of investigation.

Beginning May 7, the Blaze and the Monster Machines app will offer users the ability to help Blaze and AJ compete on all-new jungle tracks when they purchase the Dragon Island location. Kids will be able to race against Stripes and watch out for Crusher's new obstacles like his coconut and banana launchers. The app, which debuted at number-one on the Kids and Education charts, introduces preschoolers to STEM concepts as they race along preset courses or build their own tracks, encouraging children to apply critical thinking skills and explore scientific principles including acceleration, adhesion, force, friction and more.

On www.nickjr.com, Nickelodeon's award-winning website, preschoolers can play the brand-new "Dragon Island Race" game beginning May 8. Kids must help Blaze get past all of the obstacles in his path as he races Crusher to the top of Mount Dragon. NickJr.com and the Nick Jr. App will also feature a five-minute exclusive first look at "Dragon Island Duel" from May 18-25.

Nickelodeon and Fisher-Price, a subsidiary of Mattel Inc., recently launched an all-new toy line based on Blaze and the Monster Machines that is available at select retailers starting May with a full nationwide rollout in August. The highly anticipated toy lineup includes a die cast collection, talking and transforming vehicles, playsets and plush that are as fun and dynamic as the characters featured in the series.

There's plenty of fun to be had as Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy Pig, along with Danny Dog, Pedro Pony and Suzy Sheep work together to organize an exciting day out complete with a Champion Puddle Jumping competition judged by Mr. Potato, where everyone gets wet! In the all-new Nick Flick, 15-year-old Adam Baker (Jace Norman) has a jam-packed summer schedule. Between juggling multiple jobs, babysitting his sister and helping Uncle Magic Mitch perfect his magic act, he barely has a moment to sleep, let alone time to pursue his dream girl, Lori. After stumbling across a strange tanning bed his uncle brings home, Adam accidentally clones himself and finds the answer to all his problems--he can create multiple Adams.

In Nick's all-new film, "Splitting Adam", Adam Baker (Jace Norman, "Henry Danger") is the busiest 15-year-old you'll ever meet!
