Walmart Launches 'Nickelodeon Slime Sauce'

Nickelodeon has been synonymous with slime since the number-one entertainment brand for kids introduced the green semi-viscous substance to kids in the 1980's. It’s a concept that has adorned the Nickelodeon logo and A-list celebrities in some form for the most part of two generations, and Nickelodeon kids of all ages have dreamed about what it would be like to be slimed.


Now, Nickelodeon has teamed up with US grocery store chain Walmart to expand its Nickelodeon Slime range with the launch of 'Nickelodeon Slime Sauce', which allows Nick Kids of all ages to bring the excitement of green Nickelodeon slime into their home in a delicious new way, and to pour slime over their food like Nickelodeon does with special guests!

If you have ever dreamed of being slimed by Nickelodeon - widely regarded as one of the highest honors Nick can bestow on you - you can finally know what its slime tastes like—sort of. According to the packaging, 'Nickelodeon Slime Sauce' is essentially green ketchup (tomato sauce).

'Great Value Nickelodeon Slime Sauce' (20 oz) is currently a Walmart exclusive, and is part of the grocery stores Great Value range. Each 20 oz bottle retails at $2.28, and is available to purchase in-store now - just in time for Nickelodeon's Double Dare revival!

New York City (June 5, 2018)— NYC & Company, the City’s official destination marketing organization, is joining with Nickelodeon—the number one entertainment brand for kids—to announce an expanded New York City family travel partnership that will include three Official NYC Family Ambassadors: SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, and the return of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a third year. This will be the fourth family partnership opportunity between NYC & Company and Nickelodeon, as Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer, Dora and Friends and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have served as NYC Family Ambassadors in the past. With a multiplatform advertising campaign and refreshed age-specific content on NYCgo.com/family debuting today, the beloved Nickelodeon characters will encourage families of all ages to travel to New York City—just in time for kids’ summer vacations.

The new Nickelodeon brands inspiring family travel to New York City from now through early 2019 include: SpongeBob SquarePants, a fan-favorite series for nearly two decades, now also appearing on Broadway in a Tony-nominated musical; PAW Patrol (produced by Spin Master Entertainment), the number one ranked preschool series on all TV; and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the newest reimagining of the iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle franchise, set to debut on Nickelodeon this fall. Characters in the TMNT franchise previously served as NYC family ambassadors for the past two years beginning in 2016.

Beginning today, a national outdoor media campaign will debut in Boston, Chicago, in 22 national shopping malls and across New York City. Three creative concepts are among the displayed advertisements (one for each family travel partner brand), with unique taglines in the voices of the Nickelodeon characters. To inspire families to plan their New York City adventure, a targeted digital and social campaign will run throughout the summer and drive to a newly imagined family section at NYCgo.com/family with comprehensive guides, itineraries and curated experiences, all designed to help families make the most of their NYC experience. NYC & Company estimates 12.8 million family travelers visited the destination in 2017—that is up from 11.9 million family travelers in 2016.

  • Gulliver’s Gate opened in May 2017 and occupies 49,000 square feet of space in Midtown Manhattan.   • Opry City Stage opened in December 2017 in Times Square and is a four-story 28,000-square-foot entertainment complex dedicated to country music and Southern culture.   • Ocean Wonders: Sharks! at New York Aquarium opens June 30, 2018, in Coney Island. Nickelodeon Benelux has announced the headline acts that will be taking the stage at the channel's first-ever Nickelodeon Familie Festival in the Netherlands (Nederland) this summer!


Taking place on Sunday 26th August 2018 at the beach in Almeerderstrand, Almere between 10:00 uur to 18:30 uur, Nickelodeon Familie Festival is a brand-new family-centric festival specially designed for kids aged 6-12 years and their parents. The entire day will feature live performances from many well-known Dutch artists and lots of activities inspired by hit Nickelodeon shows. The one-of-a-kind event is being organised by Nickelodeon in collaboration with Tribe Company, known for De Vrienden van Amstel LIVE! and Strandfestival ZAND.

Headlining Nickelodeon Familie Festival will be Ronnie Flex & Deuxperience, Djamila, Kraantje Pappie, Vinchenzo, Famke Louise, Gierige Gasten and STUK (DJ-sets), who will each provide dazzling live performances on one of the three stages at Nickelodeon Familie Festival. Joining them will be Kaj van der Voort, Yosina and Hello August.

Op zondag 26 augustus vindt op het Strand van Almere de allereerste editie van het festival plaats dat niet alleen leuk is voor kinderen, maar ook voor hun ouders! Niemand minder dan Ronnie Flex & Deuxperience, Djamila, Kraantje Pappie, Vinchenzo, Famke Louise, Gierige Gasten en STUK (DJ-sets) verzorgen een spetterend live-optreden op één van de drie podia.

Nickelodeon Iberia will premiere Knight Squad, Nickelodeon's newest live action comedy series, on Monday 18th June 2018 at 19:15 on Nickelodeon Portugal and at 20.15 on Nickelodeon Spain (España)! Set at a magical school for knights in training, where two mismatched students form an unlikely alliance to protect each other’s secret and pursue their dreams, new episodes of Knight Squad, locally titled Knight Squad: Academia de Caballería in Spain, will continue to air regularly Mondays-Thursdays at 19:15 on Nick Portugal and at 20:15 on Nick España.


Get ready for an enchanted series full of magic, castles and swords when two mismatched students at Knight School form an unlikely alliance to protect each other's secrets and pursue their dreams to become knights.

There is only one place in the magical land of Astoria where the young and fearless can train to become elite warriors - Knight School! Meet Ciara, the fierce and competitive star student who is hiding a colossal secret - she is the royal princess in disguise! Things only get crazier at school when Arc, a cocky and streetwise outsider, strolls in with a pretty big secret of his own.

This unlikely pair will have to team up if they want to become legendary knights. Teamed with two other students to form the Phoenix Squad, Ciara and Arc hope to outshine the school’s other squads for the honour of one day representing Astoria in battle. But in this fantastical kingdom full of powerful beasts, magical spells, and schoolyard frenemies, that might be harder than they think.

Greenlit for an initial 20 episodes, Cousins For Life comes from veteran creators and executive producers Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert (Austin & Ally, All That), and centers on 12-year-old cousins Stuart (Dallas Young) and Ivy (Scarlet Spencer), best friends who come from very different backgrounds, who have to learn to navigate life under one roof with their families. Cousins For Life begins production in Los Angeles this summer, and the series is scheduled to premiere on Nickelodeon later this year.

After Stuart’s mom is deployed overseas, his fun-loving dad Clark (Ishmel Sahid) decides to move the family to Portland to live with his uptight brother Lewis (Ron G.) and his family, which includes Stuart’s confident, socially active cousin Ivy and her younger, overly-curious brother Leaf (Micah Abbey). Now living in a brand new city, Stuart embarks on a variety of endeavors with Ivy that lead to hilarious adventures. Although the cousins do not always see eye-to-eye, Ivy and Stuart learn they are better together, and when they team up, they are unstoppable. The series will also feature Emma Shannon (Black-ish) as Millie.

Nickelodeon and Paramount's Third 'SpongeBob' Movie Gets Title, Release Date [Updated]

Just a few months after reports of a delay, the next installment of SpongeBob SquarePants movies has a new name and a new release date!


ComicBook.comwas in attendance at CinemaCon 2018 in Las Vegas when Paramount Animation revealed that the upcoming third SpongeBob SquarePants movie will officially be called The SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge and is set to open in theaters on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. The film will be the third in the series of SpongeBob SquarePants theatrical releases, with The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie having been released in 2004 and its sequel, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, in 2015. SpongeBob TV series writer Tim Hill (Muppets from Space, Garfield 2, Hop, and the first Alvin and the Chipmunks feature) is penning the script and directing the film. Hill has been involved with Spongebob Squarepants from day one, helping to develop the series, and has worked on the series off and on throughout the years.

The presentation also included clips from Wonder Park (due out March 15, 2019) with a live performance of "Wonder," an original song from the film, by Rachel Platten.

Update (6/6): Vincent Waller, the Creative Director on SpongeBob SquarePants, has revealed in a Tweet that SpongeBob SquarePants writer Aaron Springer is working on the story for The SpongeBob Movie:It's a Wonderful Sponge, and that he has heard that SBSP storyboard director Zeus Cervas has been brought on board to help storyboard the film!

Last May development of the third feature-length SpongeBob film was announced with release anticipated in 2019. In December, however, Paramount announced that film -- then being called The SpongeBob Movie -- was being pushed back a year. Now it looks like things are back on track. The studio even shared a first look at the movie's logo during their presentation at CinemaCon. You can check that out above!

Both The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water were box office successes for the studio, bringing in a combined $465.3 million on a budget of $104 million between the two films.

Since its launch in July 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has emerged as a pop culture phenomenon. The series has been the most-watched animated program with kids 2-11 for more than 15 consecutive years, and over the past several years, it has averaged more than 100,000,000 total viewers every quarter across all Nickelodeon networks. SpongeBob SquarePants is the most widely distributed property in Viacom International Media Networks history, seen in more than 208 countries and territories and translated in 55+ languages. The Paramount Pictures feature film The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water premiered Feb. 6, 2015, landing at #1 opening weekend. The character-driven cartoon chronicles the nautical and sometimes nonsensical adventures of SpongeBob, an incurably optimistic and earnest sea sponge, and his undersea friends in the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom. Among those friends are SpongeBob's best friend, a pink starfish named Patrick Star, his neighbor and co-worker octopus Squidward Tentacles, and Sandy Cheeks, a squirrel from Texas.

SpongeBob SquarePantshas been renewed through to at least the show's twelfth season, will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2019, and also has its own critically acclaimed Broadway show.

Paramount also revealed first-looks at the logos of their upcoming live-action Dora the Explorer and Are You Afraid of the Dark? movies at CinemaCon 2018!
