The brand-new
Pokémon Sun and Moon anime series will follow Ash as he visits the Alola region, where Sun and Moon are based, to attend a school run by Professor Kukui with the intent to graduate. Ash will be joined by his ever faithful partner, Pikachu, as well as fellow classmates, including Lillie (Professor Kukui's assistant in the
Pokemon Sun & Moon games) as well as Mallow, Sophocles, and Lana, who are all Trial Captains in the games. Like in the games, Ash will encounter all manner of unique Pokémon to the Alola region as well as Alolan variants of pre-existing Pokémon.
In the trailer for the
Pokémon Sun and Moon anime, which debuted on Japanese television earlier this month, Ash is seen wearing a Z-Ring and doing a dance with Pikachu to perform a Z-Move, hinting that the series is also expected to showcase the new Z-Moves that are also present in the upcoming games.
Pokemon Sun & Moon: The Series will also feature a fresh new animation style.
The new
Pokemon anime will begin in November in Japan and will make its way around the world during early 2017.
