TeenNick Top 10 turns up this fall with an all-new season, premiering Friday, Sept. 30, at 9 pm (ET/PT) on TeenNick. In the season seven premiere, Nick Cannon hands over his hosting duties to singer-songwriter Alessia Cara, for an hour-long takeover of the Top 10 countdown. Throughout the episode, Cara counts down her favorite music videos, discusses her rise to fame, and treats fans to an sneak peek of her upcoming 23-city tour, “Know-It-All tour Part II” (starting Sept. 29), with an acoustic performance of her newest hit “Scars to Your Beautiful.”

TeenNick Top 10 returns this season with the hottest music videos and episode takeovers by kids’ favorite music artists and Nickelodeon talent.

Additionally, TeenNick Top 10 launched an all-new branded website (teennicktop10.com) that pulls social content around TeenNick Top 10, the artists featured on the show and from the series’ Facebook and Instagram pages.

Viacom Board Acts to Position the Company for Future Growth

September 21, 2016 09:15 AM Eastern Daylight Time


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Following a comprehensive review of Viacom’s (NASDAQ:VIAB, VIA) capital structure and operating budget, the Viacom Board today announced measures to improve the Company's financial flexibility and position it for future growth. Specifically, the Company is reducing its dividend payout to preserve capital and will proceed to access debt capital markets in the near term to improve liquidity. These actions are designed to balance the Company’s focus on a strong balance sheet and its strategy to invest in world class content and pursue opportunities to grow its core businesses.

The Company also announced that Tom Dooley, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, has informed the Board of his decision to depart the Company. He has agreed to remain in that position through November 15, 2016, to facilitate an orderly transition.

In particular, the Board today announced that:

* Viacom’s quarterly dividend will be adjusted to $0.20 per share, and the Company will shortly access debt markets in order to improve liquidity and financial flexibility;

* The Company expects that adjusted diluted earnings per share for the fiscal fourth quarter will be in the range of $0.65 to $0.70. This revision accounts for a programming impairment charge of $115 million in its filmed entertainment segment in its fiscal fourth quarter related to the expected performance of an unreleased film; reported earnings per share are expected to be $0.55 to $0.60, primarily reflecting severance expenses incurred as a result of the settlement agreement; and

* The Company has ended the process of seeking a minority investor in Paramount Pictures at this time, in order to consider all options available to the Company.

The brand-new The HALO Effect episode "Chicos and Kids" (#104) profiles 17-year-old Quintero, who created a mentorship program that provides tutoring services and helps children builds relationships with teen mentors in her hometown of Gaithersburg, Maryland. Airing monthly, The HALO Effect highlights teens who "help and lead others" (HALO) in their community and inspire others to do the same. At such a young age, Stephanie is a great role model. Watch as she teaches underprivileged children in Colombia to better their future in Nick's super sneak peek, "Teaching in Colombia"!

"Chicos and Kids" will encore Monday, Sept. 26, at 8pm (ET/PT) on Nicktoons and Saturday, Oct. 1, at 9:30pm (ET/PT) on TeenNick.


Quintero founded "Chicos and Kids" in 2010 after visiting her grandparents in Colombia and learning that the local kids' school was underfunded. Along with her brother, Quintero began teaching English classes to kids in Colombia every summer and she has also inspired another young girl to teach English in Guatemala. “Chicos and Kids” focuses on teaching underprivileged and immigrant children in Maryland, who are struggling in school and need help adjusting to American culture.

Since its inception, “Chicos and Kids” has held numerous learning workshops for children in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The organization established a new mentorship program earlier this year with teens in the community serving as “big brothers and sisters” to kids. In recognition of her commitment to helping children in need, Nickelodeon’s The HALO Effect will award a $10,000 grant to Quintero’s organization.

In each episode of The HALO Effect, the profiled teen will issue a “HALO Effect Challenge,” a call-to-action encouraging inspired viewers to participate in their cause and join the HALO movement. As part of Quintero’s “HALO Effect Challenge,” she is encouraging everyone to post a picture of themselves with a sign thanking a teacher or mentor and/or to volunteer as a mentor using the hashtag #HALOEffectChallenge. The HALO Effect launched in 2013 as a year-round initiative recognizing one deserving teen every month for their work to help and lead others in their community. Latest Installment of the Successful Anime Franchise Swings into Saturday Morning Boys' Action Block


4K Media Inc., the Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. subsidiary that manages the licensing and marketing of the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand outside of Asia, has announced it has partnered with Nickelodeon in Germany, the digital cable and satellite television channel owned by Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), to bring the second season of Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V to viewers in Germany, German-speaking Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and Alto Adige.

The announcement, made today by 4K Media's Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operations, Business and Legal Affairs Kristen Gray and Or Handelsman, Manager of Content Operations for Viacom International Media Networks, confirms the airing of Yu-Gi-Oh!Arc-V as part of the network's Saturday morning boys' action block, which premiered on Saturday 25th June 2016.


"Germany is a thriving market with a strong appetite for Yu-Gi-Oh!," said Gray. "The Season 2 premiere of Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V on Nickelodeon will keep the Yu-Gi-Oh! fan base engaged with the brand and strengthen 4K Media's relationship with the network and its parent company, Viacom."

"The second season of Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V is an action-packed complement to the other programs airing as part of the Saturday morning block and will benefit the channel's schedule flow and audience retention," added Handelsman. "We appreciate 4K Media's commitment to growing the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand's relationship with Viacom."

The Entertainer Launches Exclusive New Nick Jr. Range

The first range to licence the Nick Jr. brand is launching in The Entertainer this week!

Nick Jr Ready Steady Dough from Addo Play will be available exclusively from the UK toy retailer.


The range includes 4 Jumbo Pots, Pizza Play-set, Squeezy Shape Station, Lots of Pots, Supreme Ice Cream, Wacky Hair Dough, Cupcake Carousel (pictured) and Swirly Whirly Sweets.

Rainbow Anoints Auldey Toys As North America Master Toy Partner For "Regal Academy"

European animation studio Rainbow has appointed Auldey Toys of North America as the North American master toy licensee for its brand-new popular animated series Regal Academy!

Under the partnership, Auldey Toys, a subsidiary of The Alpha Group, will launch a full line of fashion dolls and playsets, spanning 14 skus across seven assortments, in mid 2017.

The line will be designed for girls aged 5 and older. The Regal Academy toy line will be unveiled at the upcoming Fall Toy Preview in Dallas.

The launch will be supported by a national TV and marketing, utilising the combined efforts of Rainbow and the Alpha Group.

An original animated television series, Regal Academy follows the adventures of Rose Cinderella, the granddaughter of Cinderella as she enters the Regal Academy, where her classmates are also descendants of fairy-tale characters. Nickelodeon acquired the global broadcast rights to Regal Academyin October 2015, and is currently rolling the all-new series on Nickelodeon channels globally, including on Nick USA, where the show debuted on Saturday 13th August 2016, and on Nicktoons Africa, Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland), Nickelodeon Austria (Österreich) and Nickelodeon Switzerland (Schweiz) from Monday 14th November 2016.

Nickelodeon Australia’s most anticipated family music festival, SLIMEFEST returns to Sydney and Melbourne this month with a brand new look, bigger stunts and more ways for kids and families to engage with the brand than ever before.

SLIMEFEST will be heading to Melbourne this Sunday, 25th September for two shows – 11am and 6pm and Sydney next Friday, 30th September for two shows – 11am and 6pm. The event includes an outdoor carnival experience before and after the show, featuring sponsor integrations, rides, games and merchandise available to purchase. The SLIMEFEST 90 minute special will air exclusively on Nickelodeon, Friday, 30th September at 6pm.


SLIMEFEST 2016 will be hosted by Delta Goodrem and features an incredible international and Australian line-up including OMI, Havana Brown, G.R.L., In Stereo, Mashd n Kutcher and Megan Nicole.

This year, SLIMEFEST 2016 has created more ways to engage and integrate its kids and family audience than ever before – on-ground and via its dedicated website, apps, games and social platforms.
