Nickelodeon Asia Announces Singapore's First Ever SpongeBob Run

Love SpongeBob SquarePants? Love getting active and enjoying a nice run? Then you can't miss Singapore's first ever SpongeBob Run!


This August, the first ever SpongeBob Run in Asia is happening in Singapore at the iconic Sentosa, Siloso Beach. Journey through the underwater city of Bikini Bottom with SpongeBob SquarePants and friends, and meet the lovable yellow sponge in person! Participants will be tasked with a mission to find SpongeBob’s best friend - Patrick Star, at the last attraction of the route - SpongeBob's pineapple house. With goodies galore and sights to see, there's no reason why you don't want to be part of this sponge-tastic run!

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE PANTS!


Now your kids can absorb the fun too at SpongeBob Run Singapore 2016! 800M SpongeBob Run Kids Dash is a category specially catered to kids aged 4 – 10 years old.

It is compulsory for a parent/guardian taking part in the race to fill up the Consent & Indemnity Form* for all participants age 18 years old and below (as of 06 Aug 2016) whom wish to participate in the Kids Dash category.

An identification tag will be issued to all parents/guardians. Parent/guardian will then be required to bring along the issued ID tag to pick up your kids at the pick-up area after they have completed the 800M Kids Dash.

An exclusive SpongeBob Run finisher medal will be given to all kids after they have completed the 800M Kids Dash!

Nickelodeon Australia And New Zealand To Premiere "School Of Rock" On Monday 12th September 2016

Nickelodeon Australia has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand will start to premiere and show Nickelodeon's brand-new live-action musical comedy series School of Rock, inspired by the hit movie of the same name, from Monday 12th September 2016 at 5.30pm!


School of Rock follows a group of overachieving rule-abiding prep school students -- Zack (Lance Lim, Growing Up Fisher), Lawrence (Aidan Miner, Nickelodeon Creative Lab's Legendary Dudas (formally Homeroom)), Freddy (Ricardo Hurtado), Summer (Jade Pettyjohn, Nickelodeon's Henry Danger) and Tomika (Breanna Yde, Nickelodeon's Voll Vergeistert (The Haunted Hathaways)) -- who learn to band together, take risks and to rock out to reach new heights thanks to substitute teacher Dewey Finn (Tony Cavalero, Nickelodeon's Ein Adam kommt selten allein (Splitting Adam)), a down-on-his-luck musician who uses the language of rock 'n' roll to inspire his class to form a secret band. Throughout the school year, these middle-school classmates find themselves navigating relationships, discovering their unknown talents and learning lessons on loyalty and friendships.


The series features guest appearances from Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy, Ghostbusters (I'm Not Afraid)), Kendall Schmidt (Big Time Rush) and Kira Kosarin (The Thundermans). Episodes will include musical performances by the cast covering hits "What I Like About You" (The Romantics), "Lips Are Movin" (Meghan Trainor), "The Kids Are All Right" (The Who), "We're Not Gonna Take It" (Twisted Sister), "Shut Up and Dance" (WALK THE MOON), "Heart Attack" (Demi Lovato) and more.


School of Rock is developed by Jim and Steve Armogida (Crash & Bernstein, Grounded for Life), who also serve as Executive Producers with Jay Kogen (The Simpsons, Henry Danger). The 2003 movie of the same name was written by Mike White. Its director Richard Linklater and producer Scott Rudin serve as series Executive Producers, along with Eli Bush (The Newsroom, Ex Machina).

Nickelodeon Australia has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand will be premiering Lost in the West, Nickelodeon's brand-new three-part original TV movie about two time-traveling stepbrothers who saddle up for a crazy Wild West adventure after they get transported back in time to 1885 when one of them accidentally invents a time machine, Fridays at 6.30pm over three weeks in September 2016!


Saddle up for a Wild West adventure in Nickelodeon's all-new three-part original TV movie, Lost in the West! The film centres on polar opposite stepbrothers, Chip, an all-around tech genius who lacks self-confidence, and Dave, a charismatic ladies' man with more brawn than brains. Their otherwise ordinary lives take an extraordinary turn when Chip's latest invention accidently lands them back in time to 1885 - the Wild West - the age of cowboys, cattle ranching and evil outlaws. The duo soon become entangled in a thrilling adventure as they fight off evil outlaws to save their hometown. When their actions in the past have time-altering repercussions, Chip and Dave enlist the help of friends from both time periods, including Luna, Lisa and Texas Jane, so they can avoid changing the future and make it back to the present in time for their school's Homecoming Dance. The boys will need to master the ways of the west, from horse riding to lassoing, to find their way back home!

Lost in the West stars Caleb Thomas (Chase Champion, Modern Family) as Chip, Niko Guardado (Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn) as Dave, Fallon Smythe as Lisa and Morgan Higgins as Texas Jane, and features an appearance by House of Anubis star Alex Sawyer.



Lost in the West is produced by Galdo Media and directed by Carlos Gonzalez (Big Time Rush). The TV movie is written by Kevin M. Brennan and Doug Manley.

Nickelodeon Australia has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand will premiere Nickelodeon blockbuster crossover event, "Danger & Thunder", in which Max and Phoebe Thunderman from The Thundermans meet Kid Danger and Captain Man from Henry Danger, on Friday 30th September 2016 at 5:15pm, right BEFORE the Premiere of SLIMEFEST 2016!


In the all-new Henry Danger&The Thundermans crossover special "Danger & Thunder", Captain Man (Cooper Barnes), Kid Danger (Jace Norman) and Phoebe Thunderman (Kira Kosarin) infiltrate a secret villain meeting in Swellview where the villains plan to destroy Captain Man and Kid Danger. However, at the meeting, Phoebe discovers an unexpected attendee, her brother Max Thunderman (Jack Griffo)!

New Sneak-Peek From New "All In With Cam Newton" Episode "All In With Rosie", Premiering 7/29 On Nickelodeon USA

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton reported today to training camp in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and first lady Michelle Obama is at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.


But two months ago they were together in the Rose Garden at the White House, filming an episode of Newton's brand-new adventure-filled Nickelodeon docu-series called All in with Cam Newton.

That episode, "All In With Rosie", will air Friday at 8pm ET/PT on Nick USA. Below is an exclusive clip featuring Newton, the first lady and 10-year-old Rosie Smolowitz, who feature in this weeks episode.

The premise of Newton's show is to pair children with mentors who will help them fulfill their dreams. It is Smolowitz's dream to one day become the president of the United States.

In the super video clip, via ESPN, the first lady talks about her Every Kid in a Park program that grants free access to national parks, forests, and public lands and waters to fourth-graders and their families.

But she's also a strong supporter of Newton's program.

"Don't let anybody stop you from your dreams," Obama said. "Because I could have never dreamed of living here, but here I am, the first lady of the United States.

"And Cam, you reached your dreams for sure."

Craig Bartlett Reveals All About "Hey Arnold!"

Nickelodeon's upcoming new Hey Arnold! two-part animated television movie looks, "The Jungle Movie", from what we've seen so far, absolutely amazing.


Our childhood faves have gotten minor makeovers, are a year older, and are all going to travel to San Lorenzo - where Arnold's parents disappeared so many years ago.

Craig Bartlett, the show's executive producer and original creator, said at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend that the reboot will "answer every fan question [it] possibly [can]."

But, to be honest, fans have had a lot of questions about the original series, and BuzzFeed couldn't wait for the reboot to come out in 2017. So they sat down with Bartlett at Comic-Con and asked very nicely. Here's everything they learned about Hey Arnold!.


AT LONG LAST, Craig has confirmed Arnold's full name: Arnold Phillip Shortman.

"Yes, [his last name is Shortman]. That one has just become a fact, but we still are going to do a joke where he reveals his last name in The Jungle Movie — just to confirm it. [And] I think [Arnold's middle name] should be Phillip. Arnold P. Shortman, after Phil, his grandpa."

Yes, Mr. Simmons is gay. And he replaced Miss Slovak because she was "too much of a caricature."

"We had our teacher Miss Slovak in Season 1, and Slovak was too much of a caricature. That seemed a little bit too simple — it wasn't smart enough. What if we put, instead, a great teacher who really cares about the students and is just full of passion? And then we thought, 'Well, let's make him gay, why not? It'll be fun.'"

And Eugene will grow up to be gay.

"We always figured Eugene was kind of proto-gay. He's not gay yet, he just will be. He loves musical theater, and he's a wonderful guy."

Helga's Mom, Miriam, was definitely an alcoholic.

"We wanted to make Helga have a very, very difficult home life because we wanted our audience to love Helga - who's a mean, brittle, sarcastic bully who pushes everybody around. Beyond that, she's intelligent, creative, a very powerful character, a natural leader. I wanted to make the audience love her, and so I thought, they'll love her if her dad's a big blowhard and her mom's a secret drunk, and her older sister's perfect. I think [Helga] became the most beloved character on the show."

No, Pigeon Man did not kill himself. He flew to Paris — and he might be back for "The Jungle Movie".

"I shouldn't say, but I have plans for Pigeon Man. Let's just say, he's not dead. [There are some] bad misconceptions about that [scene], that it was a suicide scene where he jumped off the roof. He doesn't commit suicide — he hooks up all those pigeons and flies away. I always imagined that he went to Paris, because that would be a good place to take care of pigeons."

Stoop Kid did, in fact, travel the world to see all the Great Stoops.

"Stoop Kid left the stoop — he still, as you know, at the end of the episode he chooses to stay. Once he had the power to leave the stoop, he left when he wanted to. He basically went around the world and sat on some huge stoops. Remember, Arnold showed him a bunch of stoops? He went to the Great Pyramids."

No, Grandpa Phil's head was not drawn to look like make genitalia on purpose.

"The comment always on the web is 'can't unsee' - which perfectly sums up what these things do. Once you see them, you can't unsee them. I draw characters that are pretty grotesque and lumpy. That's sort of a school of character design - like Rugrats. They're cool, they're fun, they're kind of lumpy and funky. I just basically drew them because I thought they were funny. I didn't mean to ruin childhoods."

But most importantly, BuzzFeed asked Bartlett to draw what Helga would look like as an adult...

Arlene Klasky Confirms That The Disturbing "Rugrats" Theory Is False

You've probably heard this already, but there's a super-dark theory about Nickelodeon's beloved '90s show Rugrats that could potentially destroy your childhood.


The incredibly disturbing theory, which has gone viral since its inception, states that none of the babies are actually real. They only exist in Angelica's imagination - she invented them on account of her parents' neglect:

Chuckie died with his mother, which explains how much of a nervous wreck his father was.

Tommy was a stillborn baby, which explains why his father, Stu, was always in the basement making toys for the son he never had.

The DeVilles had an abortion. To compensate for not knowing the sex of the baby, Angelica invented twins in her head, one boy, one girl — aka Phil and Lil.

Susie is Angelica's only friend, and plays along with her hallucinations so she doesn't take away her only coping mechanism.

Nickelodeon's Hit "SpongeBob Musical" Will Record Cast Album Pre-Broadway

Nickelodeon and Masterworks Broadway have announced that that Broadway-bound The SpongeBob Musical will record its original cast album between Monday 8th and Thursday 11th August 2016, following a successful run at Broadway in Chicago's Oriental Theater, reports Playbill!


"We are incredibly excited to capture this show with this cast right after our run in Chicago this summer," said co-conceiver and director Tina Landau and orchestrator, arranger and music supervisor Tom Kitt. "We look forward to releasing the album when this cast brings The SpongeBob Musical to Broadway."

Broadway dates and theatre have not yet been announced. The musical is based on Nickelodeon's long-running animated series series about a perpetually upbeat sponge and his friends in the undersea town of Bikini Bottom.


The SpongeBob Musical cast album will feature Ethan Slater as SpongeBob SquarePants, Gavin Lee as Squidward Tentacles, Nick Blaemire as Plankton, Lilli Cooper as Sandy Cheeks, Carlos Lopez as Mr. Krabs, Danny Skinner as Patrick Star, Gaelen Gilliland, Juliane Godfrey, Curtis Holbrook, Stephanie Hsu, Jesse JP Johnson, L'ogan J'ones, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Mark Ledbetter, Kelvin Moon Loh, Lauralyn McClelland, Vasthy Mompoint, JC Schuster, Allysa Shorte, Jacob Smith, Abby C. Smith, Jason Michael Snow, and Allan K. Washington.

The album will capture the original score which features songs by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, John Legend, Lady Antebellum, Cyndi Lauper, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants and T.I., and a song by David Bowie with additional lyrics by Jonathan Coulton.
