‘iCarly’ Revival Leans Into ‘Interesting’ Meme from 'Drake & Josh', and Fans Are Loving It

As we approach the premiere of the much-anticipated iCarly revival, Paramount+ has given fans another taste of what’s to come.


On Wednesday (June 9), the streamer shared the series’ opening title sequence featuring the show’s original theme song as well as a brief nod to meme culture. At around the nine-second mark, we can see the titular character, played by Miranda Cosgrove, sitting in front of a computer with a soda in hand and a smirk on her face.

The shot is a reference to the now-iconic “interesting” meme inspired by Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh. The original 2006 scene featured Cosgrove’s Megan Parker character researching skin disease symptoms online. As she reads about the unpleasant remedies for Derma Temeculitus, Megan takes a sip from a can of soda and comments, “interesting” with a grin.

According to KnowYourMeme, the “interesting” gif was posted by Tumblr user Commongayboy at the end of 2015. The post reportedly garnered more than 112,200 likes and reblogs within three years, and has maintained relevance ever since.


Unsurprisingly, fans were quick to clock the subtle reference and expressed their amusement online. You can read some of the reaction tweets below and check out the series’ opening title sequence above.

The iCarly revival will premiere on Paramount+ June 17, nearly 10 years after the series ended on Nickelodeon. Cosgrove spoke about her return to the show in a recent interview with Complex.

“I mean, I’m in a whole different position now working on the revival than I was when I was a kid, because I’m actually an executive producer on it,” she said. “… I’ve never done anything like this before, and it feels really good, going from being a kid on a show and not really having a whole lot of control over what my character did in episodes or anything like that, to now getting to be such a big part of the process. So I’m really happy. I’m happy, and I’m grateful to have that opportunity to do it this way, and kind of revisit that character and just see how it goes. I hope people like it and it just makes people laugh.”

Michigan Premiere of Nickelodeon’s 'The SpongeBob Musical' at Warren Consolidated School of Performing Arts

STERLING HEIGHTS/WARREN, MI — “Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?”


Why, it’s SpongeBob SquarePants, of course, the iconic Nickelodeon cartoon character.

Fans can check out the sea sponge character and his aquatic pals up close when the talented Warren Consolidated School of Performing Arts, or WCSPA, students present The SpongeBob Musical at 7:30 p.m. June 11-12, and 2 p.m. June 13.

The show will be performed two ways: livestream video, and live on stage at the Performing Arts Center located on the campus of Sterling Heights High School, 12901 15 Mile Road.

Social distancing measures will be in place, and audience members and the performers are asked to wear masks. The SpongeBob Musical is a curtain call for Artistic Director Jonathan Gillespie as it’s his last show before retirement.

According to show organizers, WCSPA is the first school in Michigan to perform The SpongeBob Musical. Because of COVID-19, this is the first time in over a year that the WCSPA students have performed a show live onstage before a crowd. They can’t wait for opening night.   

“Working on SpongeBob both in the performance aspect and behind the scenes has been a blast,” ensemble and marketing crew member Melaina Brostenianc, a sophomore, said in a prepared statement. “This show is truly like no other, it really grabs the attention of everyone especially with the songs written by more than one artist which include some of my favorites like John Legend, Lady Antebellum, T.I. and so many more.”

The SpongeBob Musical! takes the audience to the characters’ home turf at Bikini Bottom. During the show, SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, Squidward and Plankton act, sing and dance their way through everyday problems they need to solve.

Junior Will Bernstein leads the pack as SpongeBob SquarePants.

“It takes the audience back to their childhood,” Bernstein told C & G Newspapers, adding at first getting into the character was difficult. “Especially with the masks. You have to talk with your body.” But now he has eased into the role. “SpongeBob just wants to prove himself. He’s not just a sponge.”

Senior Maria Bonucchi, as Squidward, is glad to be back center stage.

“It’s hard to figure everything out virtually,” she said. “It feels good to be all together, and we’re able to connect more. I’m so happy to be able to perform my last show on stage. It means so much.”

Ju’el Martin brings the “sarcastic” Plankton to life.

“He’s the villain in the show,” Martin said. “He’s also the comic relief.”

He’s watched the cartoon show while getting into character.

“I used it for a lot of my inspiration. The way he talks, his mannerisms,” Martin said. “I have him as a reference, but I put my own spin on it.”

In sync with the rest of the cast is Autumn Hearn as Sandy Cheeks.

“She’s not a fish, she’s a squirrel,” the sophomore said. “I love her character. She has her own vibe. Patrick and SpongeBob are her best friends but sometimes she gets annoyed with them.”

The cast also includes Xander Wee as Patrick. Senior Natalie Cornish is the show’s stage manager.

WCSPA is an award-winning, nationally recognized program that specializes in all aspects of theater, including acting, dancing and technical staff. Students in grades 9-12 attend class in a two-hour block at Sterling Heights High School. The students attend their other classes at their home school. The players must audition to be in the program.

For Bernstein, WCSPA has provided for a number of experiences.

“The atmosphere is the most accepting atmosphere I’ve been in,” Bernstein said.

The Warren Mott student will pursue an acting career, preferably in film. He has plans to attend Tisch School of the Arts, either in New York City or Los Angeles. One actor he’d like to work with is Leonardo DiCaprio.

“I’ll go through a lot of auditions with a lot of noes,” he said. “Hopefully I’ll get that one yes.”

Martin started out in show choir, which led him to WCSPA.

“This is what I needed. I found my calling,” the Sterling Heights High School student said. “You have to have responsibility. You have to be able to help rely on your peers and they rely on you.”

Martin also hopes for a film career.

“I go to the movie theater at least twice a week,” he said.

Hearn is a Warren Mott student who has strengthened her social skills while in WCSPA.     

“It’s allowing me to open up,” she said. “It’s allowed me to improve on my acting.”

“I’ve gained a lot of communication skills, being able to work with my peers and technicians, and knowing who to go to when I need somebody,” said Bonucchi, who attends Cousino.

Women in Film Los Angeles Reveals Participants for Inaugural Emerging Producers Program

Women In Film, Los Angeles has announced the roster for its inaugural Emerging Producers Program.

The one-year course — open to women and non-binary individuals who are early in their producing careers — offers master classes, mentorship, insight into the fundamentals of creative and physical production, the various tracks producers can take, and how to start an independent business. The group was selected by a jury of industry professionals including veteran producers for the program that was most possible in part thanks to a grant from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, and eMinutes.

Program mentors include Nickelodeon and Awesomeness’ Yolanda Cochran, Warner Bros.’ Jenn Asaro, producer Chelsea Barnard (Booksmart), producer Linda Goldstein Knowlton (We Are the Radical Monarchs), Warner Bros.’ Niija Kuykendall, producer Monica Levinson (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm), producer Lyn Sisson-Talbert (Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey), and Catchlight Studios’ Jeanette Volturno.

Says WIF Director of Programs Maikiko James: “As we continue to make strides for gender parity in our industry, it’s critical to support underrepresented producers. This cohort represents extraordinary talent that we are committed to supporting in sustainable careers.”

The Emerging Producers Program participants are:

Apoorva Charan, who started her career at FremantleMedia Singapore as a digital producer, received her M.F.A. in film from Columbia University. She’s produced more than 20 short films including Lonely Blue Night, which won the Audience Award at AFI Fest 2020, was an official selection at the Atlanta Film Festival, was a finalist for the HBO APA Visionaries award, and is available to stream on HBO Max.

Lydia “Sue-Ellen” Chitunya, who hails from Zimbabwe, was selected as a Georgia State University “40 Under 40” honoree. She graduated from the UCLA Professional Producing Program and was inducted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for her success as a short film producer.

Luz Agudelo Gipson, a Colombian native, attended Columbia College Chicago, where she received a B.A. in film and video. Her resume includes several award-winning short films and commercials, notably the Obama for America 2008 presidential campaign, which received the Titanium and Integrated Lions Grand Prix award at Cannes.

Vanessa Haroutunian, who uses the pronouns they/she, identifies a queer producer, artist and curator. Haroutunian received a B.A. in film and electronic arts from Bard College. Haroutunian recently produced the short film Flourish directed by Heather María Ács, which won Best LGBTQ Short at the Big Apple Film Festival, and has screened at various festivals including Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts, OutFest Fusion, NewFest, London Shorts, and at BAM’s Programmers Notebook series.

Takara Joseph was born in the Virgin Islands and raised in Atlanta. She is a 2020 Film Independent Project Involve fellow and a Daytime Emmy-nominated producer and director of the 13-time Daytime Emmy-nominated series Giants, which premiered on Issa Rae’s YouTube channel.

Quan Lateef-Hill is a producer, filmmaker, and creator developing and producing multi-platform content in television, film, digital, podcast, live event, and experimental production. Throughout a 20-year career, Lateef-Hill’s award-winning body of work has included scripted and unscripted content and experiences with such companies as Viacom/BET/Vh1, Quibi, New York Times, Discovery, NBC, PBS, Bravo TV, Issa Rae Presents, Refinery29, Doc Society, Tool of America and others.

Sophie Luo is a producer and filmmaker. Her recent work includes campaigns and videos for TED’s Climate Countdown global initiative, Nike’s SNKRS app, a viral Desus and Mero collaboration with Timberland, and a collaboration with Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Justice Democrats. Her short doc, Closing Annisa, follows acclaimed chef Anita Lo as she shutters her restaurant Annisa after 17 years. It screened at Athena Film Festival, Seattle Asian American Film Festival, Omaha Film Festival and Anchorage International Film Festival.

Alexandra Perez is a producer and production manager who has worked on content spanning television, film, digital, and commercial platforms. She began her production career as a coordinator at Entertainment One (eOne) before making her way to Blumhouse as manager of production for TV. She transitioned to freelance production on the Blumhouse/Hulu anthology series Into The Dark, where she served as production supervisor across two seasons.

Juliana Schatz Preston is a Colombian-American documentary film producer and director. Her directorial debut, Los Comandos, was shortlisted for the 2019 Academy Awards and was a nominee for the 2018 International Documentary Award. Her short film, Waiting for Terah, premiered at the Double Exposure Film Festival and was supported by ITVS, FRONTLINE, Firelight Media, Type Investigations, and the Fund for Investigative Journalism.

Netflix to Premiere 'The Loud House Movie' on August 20; Releases New Sneak Peek

Netflix will premiere The Loud House Movie on Friday, August 20! The streamer announced the news as part of it's Geeked Week stunt, and also treated fans to a new sneak peek from the film!


In Nickelodeon’s much-anticipated The Loud House Movie, based on Nickelodeon's hit animated series The Loud House, the biggest family on television goes on the biggest Loud family vacation ever! The adventure follows the Loud family to Scotland where they discover that they are descendants of Scottish royalty. The family quickly indulges in the most wish-fulfilling high-life ever when they discover their ancestral home is a castle.


Director Dave Needham (head of story, Smallfoot) and writers Kevin Sullivan and Chris Viscardi planned this hilarious family trip, which features the voices of Asher Bishop, Michelle Gomez (Morag), David Tennant, Grey Griffin, Jill Talley, Brian Stepanek, Jessica DiCicco, Liliana Mumy, Cristina Pucelli, Nika Futterman, Lara Jill Miller, Andre Robinson, Cat Taber, Katy Townsend, Carlos PenaVega and Izabella Alvarez. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios.


Nickelodeon and Netflix first announced plans for The Loud House Movie as well as a animated movie inspired by Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in February 2019, as part of Nickelodeon and ViacomCBS' broader efforts to tap into Nickelodeon's intellectual properties (IP) to continue producing new content for digital and linear platforms. Nickelodeon and Netflix expanded on their pact to form a new, multi-year output deal to produce original animated feature films and television series - based both on the Nickelodeon library of characters as well as all-new IP - for kids and families around the world.

The Loud House debuted on Nickelodeon in May 2016 and centers on 11-year-old Lincoln Loud and his ten sisters as he gives an inside look at what it takes to survive the chaos of a huge family. As one of the longest-running animated series on Nickelodeon, the series currently ranks as the number-one animated show on Nickelodeon with Kids 6-11 year-to-date. The property also has been translated into a comic book series, which continues to roll out new stories, chapter books, a digital album and a podcast, Listen Out Loud. The series is executive produced by Michael Rubiner. Kyle Marshall serves as co-executive producer and Ashley Kliment-Baker is art director. Currently in its fifth season, The Loud House was recently renewed for a sixth season.

The voice cast of The Loud House includes: Asher Bishop as Lincoln Loud; Andre Robinson as Clyde McBride; Catherine Taber as Lori; Liliana Mumy as Leni; Nika Futterman as Luna; Cristina Pucelli as Luan; Jessica DiCicco as Lynn and Lucy; Grey Griffin as Lola, Lana and Lily; and Lara Jill Miller as Lisa.

The show has also been spun-off with the successful companion series, The Casagrandes, which tells the story of 11-year-old Ronnie Anne who moves to the city with her mom and older brother to live with their big, loving family, the Casagrandes.

Noggin, Nickelodeon's interactive learning service for preschoolers, will debut a new animated series from BBC Studios about an almost five-year-old girl and her grandmother, JoJo & Gran Gran, on Monday, June 14. Following JoJo and her wise grandmother, Gran Gran, in a bustling London neighborhood as they spend time together, the premiere marks the U.S. launch of the series (44 x 11-min eps) developed and produced by BBC Children's Productions. Nickelodeon has acquired seasons one and two of JoJo & Gran Gran for the U.S. and episodes will continue to roll out on Noggin later this year. BBC Studios is distributing internationally.


"We are thrilled to welcome JoJo & Gran Gran to Noggin and to share this charming and authentic multigenerational series that complements our expanding content slate, and also aligns with our 'Big Heart World' approach to learning," said Layla Lewis, Senior Vice President, Global Acquisitions and Content Partnerships, ViacomCBS International Media Networks.


JoJo & Gran Gran tells the story about an amazing relationship between a little girl and her loving grandmother, exploring themes that can feel quite abstract to most children such as topics of life cycles, passing of time, and growth. The series teaches children to be open, tolerant, respectful of others and empathetic, which is becoming even more important in today's diverse world.


A sneak peek of JoJo & Gran Gran, "It's Time to Build a Sandcastle," will premiere on Friday, June 11, at 7:30 a.m. (ET/PT) in the brand-new weekly Noggin programming hour on the Nick Jr. channel, which features content available on Noggin such as Kinderwood, Noggin Knows, educational short-form videos and more. In the episode, JoJo and Gran Gran are on a trip to the sunny seaside with a mission to build the biggest sandcastle for her favorite toy, Panda, to play inside.


JoJo & Gran Gran aligns with Noggin's "Big Heart World" educational approach which focuses on building preschoolers' emotional knowledge and awareness, as each episode of the series aims to reflect kids' lives while being culturally specific and inspire real-world discovery and play. JoJo & Gran Gran is the latest addition to Noggin's content slate which includes the recently launched series Rhymes Through Times, Noggin Knows, Kinderwood, School of Yum, Word Play and Imagination Trips, among others.

Leading up to the launch of season two, fans can watch an exclusive preview on Friday, June 11 at 4pm in Mexico and Colombia, 5pm in Venezuela, Chile and Brazil, and at 6pm in Argentina, exclusively on the Nickelodeon en Español and Nickelodeon em Portugues YouTube channels.

In this new season of Club 57, Eva and Rubén continue with their time traveling adventures, but, this time they are not the only ones! Their paths will cross with unexpected time travelers who will not only challenge their intelligence, but their hearts as well. The Guardians of Time are also dealing with mysterious hidden forces in their midst, and we will see that nothing and no one is what it seems. They are also facing the typical teen problems with school and love and the frustrations that come with it…all while the clock continues to turn back time. Eva will have to make important decisions this season, as she will find herself at a crossroads with her feelings. Should she risk everything for love?

Judging from the clothes the characters wear in the cast photo, above, as well as the design used in Nickelodeon's Club 57 promos, season two will be visiting the 1980s at some point.

The series, made up of 60 one-hour episodes, features a pan-regional cast, headed by Venezuelan actress Evaluna Montaner de Echeverry, Italian actor Riccardo Frascari, Colombians Sebastian Silva and Andrés Mercado, Chilean Carolina Mestrovic, Venezuelan Fefi Oliveira and Cuban-American Isabella Castillo, who are joined by Argentinean actor Santiago Achaga, Ecuadorian Johann Vera and Colombians Carolina Angarita, Isabella Barragan, Nataly Vasquez and Daniela Pérez. Angela Rincon, Gabriel Lopez, Jonathan Jose Quintana, Simoné Marval, Laura Rosguer, Martina Lavignasse, and Xavier Coronel also return for this second season.


The Club 57 soundtrack will once again be composed and produced by the award-winning Argentinian-Venezuelan singer-songwriter Ricardo Montaner, with musical contributions by musical producers Mau y Ricky, Evaluna Montaner de Echeverry and Colombian singer-songwriter, Camilo Echeverry.

The first season of Club 57 premiered in Latin America in 2019 and quickly captivated young audiences. It was seen by more than 19 million people in the region and was the #1 show during its timeslot with girls 7-14 in Argentina and Mexico; and girls 4-11 in Argentina.  At the same time, Club 57 was the #1 show during Argentine FTA broadcaster Telefe's children's programming block on the weekends. The series garnered more than 69M video views throughout all platforms and was the #1 property on Nick Play during its premieres.

“Club 57”: Nickelodeon anuncia data de estreia da 2ª temporada

A Nick não só confirmou que “Club 57” terá uma segunda temporada, como já anunciou a estreia para junho deste ano.

Neste último sábado (15) a Nickelodeon anunciou que “Club 57“, uma das séries latino americanas da emissora, ganhará segunda temporada. Após o fim do primeiro compilado de episódios em 2019, a segunda temporada da telenovela chega ao canal brasileiro no dia 14 de junho, às 20 horas (horário de Brasília). Também foi confirmada uma pré-estreia especial no canal do YouTube da Nick no dia 11 de junho.

Nessa temporada, Eva (Evaluna) e Rubén (Sebastían Silva) continuarão a aventura – mas não serão os únicos nas viagens no tempo. Segundo a sinopse, os personagens irão cruzar com viajantes inesperados e terão que lidar com forças misteriosas e ocultas. Além disso, a protagonista terá que fazer grandes decisões no seu relacionamento com JJ (Riccardo Frascari).

SALE DE ESCENA- Gabo López se despide de su personaje en la serie de Nickelodeon ‘’Club 57’’ 

En las últimas horas el cantante y actor venezolano, Gabo López anunció que se despide por un tiempo de la serie juvenil del canal Nickelodeon, ‘’Club 57’’ a pocos días de que se estrene la segunda temporada.

A través de su cuenta oficial en la red social de la camarita, el criollo confesó que interpretar nuevamente este personaje sin duda enriqueció su alma y además lo llenó de mucho aprendizaje: «Oso amigo, hoy me despido y espero sea solo un hasta luego. Gracias por tanto»

Así fue como a sus 30 años de edad fue elegido para personificar a Oso en Club 57, una serie de ficción y música situada en los años 50’, en la que aparecen además las venezolanas Fefi Oliveira y Evaluna Montaner .

Por otro lado, es importante destacar que el actor se casó el año 2019 con la también actriz venezolana,  Fabiola Arace y se encuentra desde hace algunos años radicados en los Estados Unidos junto a su madre quien sigue luchando contra el cáncer.

Nació con un papá ya muy famoso, sus hermanos Mau y Ricky también ahora son estrellas de la música y, por si fuera poco, su esposo Camilo también rompe récords de reproducciones en todas las plataformas. Sin embargo, Evaluna Montaner brilla con luz propia y tiene sus propios proyectos. Con tan solo 23 años, ya tiene una carrera consolidada como actriz en numerosas tiras infantiles y juveniles, y está muy cerca de lanzar su disco solista. Y este 14 de junio, volverá como protagonista en la segunda temporada de Club 57, la serie éxito de Nickelodeon, filmada en esta oportunidad en Colombia.

Radicada en Miami desde los cuatro años, repasa en una entrevista vía zoom con Teleshow cómo es trabajar con su familia, que está encargada de la banda sonora de la ficción que protagoniza y con quienes además hará un concierto con ellos el próximo 12 de junio, y también hablará sobre Venezuela, su país de nacimiento que está en vuelto en una crisis desde hace ya muchos años.

¿De qué va a tratar la segunda temporada de la serie de Club 57? ¿Cuándo se va a estrenar?

La segunda temporada sale el 14 de junio por Nickelodeon, pero va a ver un pre-estreno en Youtube, en el perfil del canal en español, el 11 de junio. Entonces tenemos la posibilidad de ver el primer capítulo un poquitito antes. La serie, en esta temporada yo siento que, si vieron la primera van a entender que los saltos en el tiempo son protagonistas, y hay muchísimos saltos y épocas nuevas, mucha música nueva, personajes nuevos, historias que se desarrollan un poco más. Está muy interesante, creo que le puede gustar muchísimo y que van a aprender mientras ven una serie muy divertida.

Tu papá, tus hermanos y Camilo van a estar encargados de la banda sonora, ¿cómo es trabajar con tu familia?

Siempre hemos trabajado en familia, es fantástico, siempre puedo aprender de ellos cosas nuevas, siento el apoyo de ellos con esta serie porque están completamente involucrados y eso es súper bonito. Creo que cuando nos admiramos todos y nos apoyamos, podemos hacer algo muy chévere juntos. Es una delicia trabajar con mi familia.

¿Tenés alguna anécdota que recuerdes de la grabación?

En esta temporada no nos fuimos a un lugar todos juntos a escribir las canciones, por el tema de la pandemia. Pero me acuerdo que estaba en mi luna de miel y mi papá me iba mandando las canciones y me decía: “bueno cuando puedas trabajen en esta”. Entonces en mi luna de miel también estuvimos trabajando en las canciones de Club 57 y creo que es algo que siempre voy a recordar. Peor para mí, yo amo tanto lo que hago que no siento que es trabajo, entonces disfrutamos muchísimo escribiendo echados en el sol.

¿Cómo va a ser el concierto que den con tu familia el 12 de junio?

Creo que es mi primer concierto como artista sola, porque siempre he ido de gira con mi papá, entonces está chévere porque vamos a ver combinaciones diferentes en nuestras canciones. Yo voy a cantar muchas con Cami, también con mi papá, canciones con Mau y Ricky, nos vamos a ir mezclando entre todos cantando nuestras canciones. Y obviamente cantando “Amén”, que es la canción que tenemos todos juntos, creo que va a estar muy bueno. Y además eso es dos días antes del estreno entonces lo que amo es que voy a estar con ellos cuando se estrene la segunda temporada

¿Tenés pensado hacer conciertos como solista?

Sí, pero como empezó la pandemia, estamos recién comenzando a hacer conciertos, y este concierto va a ser más que nada virtual, peor también va a tener algunas entradas a la venta en persona, obviamente con todos los protocolos, pero muy pronto me voy a ir de gira con Camilo como artista invitada en julio por España.

Hablando de tu relación con Camilo, ¿qué te molesta de él en la convivencia?

Llevo un año de casada con él y hasta ahora todo me parece fantástico. No hay nada que yo te pueda decir que me molesta.

¿No es desordenado?

No, para nada, y él es el que lava los platos, eso es un gran plus: mujeres, pónganse las pilas, los hombres tienen que lavar los platos (Risas) Por ahora todo muy bien y cada vez lo disfruto más. Es muy divertido poder conocernos más, yo pensé que no nos podíamos conocer más, pero es totalmente diferente vivir juntos y la verdad que es espectacular, es un gran compañero de casa.

¿Cómo vivís el próximo estreno de La Voz Argentina, el reality en el que van a estar tu papá y tus hermanos?

Ellos están muy felices allá, y para mí es muy raro que ellos estén todos en Argentina y yo no. Normalmente viajamos todos juntos cuando hay algo así, y más si es Argentina que amo tanto, pero si Dios quiere estaré para la final de la Voz acompañándolos. Yo creo que mi papá siempre hizo el trabajo de mantener el país ahí con nosotros en casa. Yo por ejemplo tomo mates todos los días y eso es algo que siempre ha estado en mi casa. Mi papá y mamá también toman muchísimo mate y mi abuela también. Siempre ha estado presente los asados, es algo de todos los domingos, y son costumbres chiquitas que me hacen sentir a mí muy argentina, y me encanta poder compartir nacionalidades.

¿Cómo te llevás con Stefi Rotman, tu cuñada?

Ella es lo máximo y es perfecta para Ricky, son los dos igual de raros y locos, son perfectos, y estoy muy emocionada porque están en todo el proceso de planear la boda, y yo amo todo lo que tenga que ver con las bodas. Entonces estoy tratando todo el tiempo de meter la cuchara y preguntar qué musica va a haber, quién va a tocar, dónde va a ser, cosas así. Estamos en un proceso muy bonito y ella siempre me ha hecho sentir como muy hermana de ella desde el principio y eso siempre es un gran plus.

¿Ya tienen fecha de casamiento?

No la sé, si es que la tienen, no la sé. Sé que es el año que viene, pero por ahora no tienen fecha exacta.

¿Entre tus hermanos y vos quién creés que será el primero en convertirse en padre?

Mau y Sara yo creo que van a ser los primeros, sin duda. Están juntos hace mucho tiempo. Y bueno, también tengo cuatro sobrinos hermosísimos de parte de mis hermanos mayores.

¿Qué es lo que más admirás de tu papá?

Su manera de ser padre primero que nada, siento que eso siempre ha sido la prioridad para él. Y con esta carrera tan espectacular que ha tenido, y esta vida, no es fácil estar tan presente, y él lo ha hecho tan bien. Y además admiro que siga trabajando, es la persona que más trabaja que conozco, y lo hace con tanto amor y tanta pasión que a mí me inspira muchísimo.

¿Cómo ves la situación de Venezuela en este momento?

A mí siempre Venezuela me duele muchísimo porque yo quiero volver, me encantaría. Hace ocho años no voy a mi país. Siento que es importante ver la luz al final del túnel porque en algún momento, llevamos tanto tiempo así, que uno pierde la fe, peor creo que todavía hay que seguir viendo la luz, la libertad.

Los Montaner vuelven a llenar el Club 57 y ser luz para los niños

Para la segunda temporada de la serie "Club 57", Evaluna Montaner regresará encabezando el elenco y en compañía de su familia, el músico Ricardo Montaner, sus hermanos de Mau y Ricky y su esposo Camilo.

La producción de Nickelodeon se estrena en México el 14 de junio a las 20:00 horas por el canal de paga, y continuará la historia de Eva (Evaluna) y su grupo de amigos, quienes viajan en el tiempo y cuya música corre a cargo de los Montaner y Camilo, aunque la actriz no descarta que en un futuro su esposo también se una a la actuación.

“Podría ser para la tercera temporada, para esta simplemente nos ha acompañado detrás de cámaras y en la música”, dice.

La actriz y cantante de 23 años explica lo que significa formar parte de un programa enfocado a un público juvenil.

“Es una responsabilidad bastante grande la que tenemos todos y en realidad no creo que se nos haga tan difícil porque somos un grupo bastante sano y somos todos como niños”, comparte.

“Es una responsabilidad grande porque nos están viendo todo el tiempo y queremos ser luz para todos los niños”.

El elenco de la nueva temporada de 60 capítulos incluye al italiano Riccardo Frascari, los colombianos Sebastian Silva y Andrés Mercado, el ecuatoriano Johann Vera y la chilena Carolina Mestrovic, entre otros.

“Colombia es mi segunda casa”

Lo que más le ha sorprendido a Evaluna es la fidelidad de los seguidores de Club 57. Han pasado dos años desde el estreno de la primera temporada y ellos no paran de interactuar en las redes sociales sobre la historia y los personajes de esta serie juvenil de Nickelodeon.

Para alegría de todos ellos, desde finales del año pasado, arrancaron las grabaciones de la segunda temporada de esta producción, que nuevamente cuenta con esta actriz y cantante, quien hace parte del clan familiar de Los Montaner y es esposa del cantautor colombiano Camilo.

Como si fuera poco, Nickelodeon acaba de anunciar la fecha de estreno, que será el próximo 14 de junio por su señal latinoamericana, con un preestreno a través de Youtube el 11 del mismo mes, donde los fanáticos podrán interactuar con sus principales actores.

Esta segunda temporada se grabó, en su totalidad, en Bogotá, en distintos estudios de grabación y contando con los más estrictos protocolos de bioseguridad para evitar el contagio del Covid-19.

“Al principio fue difícil adaptarse a la situación. Con las pruebas constantes y la reducción de personas en los sets de grabación, pero te vas acostumbrando a esta nueva realidad, pensando en que lo importante es la historia y que todo salga igual de bien frente a las cámaras”, comentó Evaluna, mientras culminan las grabaciones en Bogotá.

Tras una primera temporada realizada entre Estados Unidos e Italia, la producción se desplazó a Colombia para su segunda temporada, para continuar con la historia de los hermanos Eva y Rubén, personajes interpretados por Evaluna Montaner y el actor tolimense Sebastián Silva, quien ha participado en producciones como ‘La Reina del flow’.

Es una telenovela juvenil llena de color pero también con una fuerte carga de ciencia ficción, con los dos hermanos descubriendo una máquina del tiempo creada por su abuelo y con la que, accidentalmente, viajan a finales de los años cincuenta.

“Es una hermosa época a la cual viajar. Soy una apasionada de la moda, de la música, y en los años cincuenta hay muchos elementos asombrosos que en la producción se recuperan, lo cual la hace más fascinante”, manifestó la protagonista Evaluna.

Como en toda buena telenovela, el ingrediente del amor no podía estar ajeno, y Eva termina enamorada de JJ, interpretado por Ricardo Frascari, por quien se queda en los años cincuenta, sin darse cuenta que desencadenará todo un efecto mariposa.

Y agregó Evaluna: “Colombia se ha convertido en mi segunda casa. Siempre lo ha sido por cómo han recibido el trabajo de mi padre, pero en los últimos años por todo lo que sucede con la música de Camilo y de mis hermanos, por lo que siempre es grato venir a trabajar aquí”.

Además de ser la protagonista, Evaluna ha desempeñado otras labores dentro de esta ambiciosa producción de Nickelodeon, como la creación de cada una de las canciones que hacen parte del repertorio de la telenovela juvenil.

“Es algo que venimos haciendo desde la temporada anterior, pero esta vez, muchas de las canciones las realizamos sobre la marcha, hablando con los escritores que nos planteaban las escenas para saber por dónde llevar la letra, lo que fue una forma diferente de hacer las canciones”, continuó Evaluna.

Además, también tuvo la oportunidad de seguir explorando su faceta como directora de videos musicales, lo que ha desarrollado con mucho éxito dirigiendo buena parte de los más recientes videos de Camilo.

“Siempre termina siendo un trabajo colectivo en el cual todos los involucrados aportan su talento y sus ideas para ello. No dejo de aprender”.

Una faceta que heredó de su madre, quien dirigió una buena cantidad de videos a su padre, Ricardo Montaner, además de otros artistas de la época. “Si tuviera una máquina del tiempo como en la serie, me encantaría viajar a la época en que mi madre dirigía los videos musicales de mi padre y aprenderle todos sus trucos”.

Ahora, una vez culmine todos sus compromisos con la grabación de la segunda temporada de Club 57, Evaluna espera viajar y reencontrarse con su familia, con la cual tiene entre manos varios ambiciosos proyectos, entre ellos, un concierto que será transmitido vía streaming desde Altos de Chavon en República Dominicana, en el cual participarán su padre, Ricardo Montaner, así como sus dos hermanos, Mau & Ricky, junto a su esposo Camilo.

El elenco de la telenovela juvenil “Club 57”, Estefany Olveira, Evaluna Montaner y Sebastián Silva, entre otros, se reunió para detallar las características que presenta la segunda temporada de la serie producida por Nickelodeon, que llegará a las pantallas a partir del próximo 14 de junio, con un prestreno por YouTube este 11 de junio.

Tomando en cuenta esto, y el panorama dentro del cual se filmó el programa, es posible considerar que la historia toma algo de inspiración de hechos reales. “(Club 57) Es un espacio para soñar, para crear, para divertirse. Lógicamente hay muchos más contenidos creados en el medio audiovisual para ver la realidad que estamos viviendo, pero en este caso es para que los niños sueñen, se diviertan y vivan este viaje a través del tiempo”, agregó Sebastián Silva, (Rubén García).

Aunque el estreno general a través de la señal de Nickelodeon será el próximo 14 de junio, la telenovela tendrá un preestreno que se llevará a cabo unos días antes, el 11 de junio, en el canal oficial de YouTube de la serie.

“Lo que más quiero es ver la reacción de los niños por como comienza esta temporada, yo creo que les va a gustar muchísimo y lo van a entender. Quiero ver qué piensan, después de tanto tiempo, de volver a vernos. Si sienten más amor, si les gusta más la historia, si se enamoran de los nuevos personajes. Me emociona poder ver todo lo que piensan”, declaró Evaluna Montaner.

En esta nueva etapa de la historia, Evaluna volvió a participar en la creación de la música y banda sonora de “Club 57”. Además, también dirigió uno de los videos de los integrantes del elenco.

LA HISTORIA

“Club 57” gira alrededor de la historia de “Eva” (Evaluna Montaner) quien tras encontrar una máquina del tiempo junto a su hermano (Sebastián Silva) viaja a 1957. Ahí conoce a un joven italiano con el sobrenombre “JJ” (Ricardo Frascari), del cual se enamora y, al decidir quedarse en ese año, desata una serie de eventos que podrían alterar su realidad actual y otras líneas del tiempo.​
