Nickelodeon's ‘Blaze And The Monster Machines’ First Ever Video Game Races to Consoles and PC This Autumn.


London, (18th May, 2021) - Fasten your seatbelts for the ride of a lifetime as Outright Games, the leading publisher of family friendly interactive entertainment, in partnership with Nickelodeon, today have announced a brand new kart racing game Blaze and the Monster Machines: Axle City Racers. Based on Nickelodeon’s hit preschool series, the game will release this Autumn on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC digital.


Blaze and the Monster Machine fans can become a part of the action by joining the amazing monster truck Blaze and his friend and driver AJ as they head out on adventures with their friends Pickle, Darington, Zeg, Starla, Stripes and even the cheating Crusher and zoom around the colourful streets of Axle City on a mission to win the racing championship.


Players can take on the championship on their own as one of seven distinctive characters or play together with friends and family in four player split screen and race for victory.

In the CG-animated preschool series Blaze and the Monster Machines, the amazing monster truck Blaze and his eight-year-old driver AJ have adventures that explore the physics of how things move; tackle problems through scientific inquiry and mathematics; and discover the parts needed to make everyday technologies work. Each action-packed episode is filled with monster trucks, physical humor and upbeat original songs with lyrics that highlight a STEM concept such as adhesion, friction, force, trajectory and magnetism.

Nickelodeon Spain and Lanjarón Partner for 'The Loud House' Water Bottles

Lanjarón, a mineral water brand from Danone, has partnered with ViacomCBS Consumer Products (VCP) to launch a range of Lanjarón Kids water bottles inspired by Nickelodeon's hit animated series The Loud House!


The partnership will see Lincoln Loud and his family and friends, illustrated by The Loud House creative director Amanda Rynda, feature on the packaging Lanjarón Kids water bottles, which have been specially designed for children. The range is available on shop shelves now.

Lanjarón previously teamed up with Nickelodeon in 2019 to launch a SpongeBob range of water bottles to celebrate the property's 20th anniversary and again in April this year for a Garfield collection. The ranges aim to promote healthy hydration for children with products specially designed for them.

Los Loud serán los protagonistas del nuevo lanzamiento de la marca.

La familia Loud, protagonista de la serie de Nickelodeon creada por Chris Savino, Una Casa de Locos, ilustra la nueva colección de botellas de Lanjarón Kids, la gama de productos especialmente diseñada para niños y niñas, disponible ya en los lineales. La marca de agua mineral natural cuenta con Lincoln y sus hermanas y amigos, ilustrados por la directora creativa Amanda Rynda como protagonistas de la colección. 


La colección está compuesta por packs de ocho botellas en formato de 33 centilitros y cuenta con el tapón sport característico de la gama infantil de Lanjarón, que evita el derrame durante el consumo de agua. El producto se ha lanzado al mercado con un PVP recomendado 0,46 euros por unidad, es decir, 2,76 euros por el pack de seis unidades. Cada pack está inspirado en un personaje de la serie, desde Lincoln hasta la dulce Leni, pasando por la misteriosa Lucy o Clyde McBride, el mejor amigo del protagonista, entre otros.

Paramount Plus Latin America and Brazil Premiere 'The Astronauts'

Paramount+ in Latin America (Latinoamérica) and Brazil (Brasil) will premiere Nickelodeon's hit space-themed comedy-drama series The Astronauts on Saturday 1st May 2021, ahead of the show's linear TV launch!

Neste sábado (1º), o Paramount+ estreia a série da Nickelodeon, “The Astronauts”. A produção tem uma premissa inédita crianças não treinadas acidentalmente são lançadas ao espaço, agora colocadas juntas como uma equipe improvisada, precisam sobreviver.

A série começa quando cinco crianças usam as autorizações de segurança de seus pais para entrar sem permissão na espaçonave Odyssey, que está sendo preparada para uma missão para investigar um asteroide que vai passar próximo à Terra. Mas uma vez que eles embarcam, o sistema de inteligência artificial aciona a sequência de lançamento, e eles literalmente decolam, deixando seus pais para trás no solo para descobrir o que causou o lançamento prematuro e como não apenas manter seus filhos seguros quando eles estão literalmente à milhões de quilômetros de distância.

As crianças que embarcam nessa aventura são Will (Ben Daon), que tem u conhecimento enciclopédico de ficção científica; Samy (Miya Cech), que é a filha do comandante e assume o papel de liderança; Elliott (Bryce Gheisar), que foi criado e se espera que seja um líder, mas não aceita muito a função e os irmãos Martin (Keith L. Entrevistamos a dos de sus protagonistas y nos contaron todos los secretos de la filmación.

En el servicio de streaming Paramount + se estrenó en exclusiva una grandiosa serie de Nickelodeon que se llama The Astronauts. Y tiene una trama que te va a atrapar: un grupo de chicos se embarca en la aventura de sus vidas para regresar a casa tras ser lanzados al espacio por accidente. Sí, para curiosear se meten en una nave espacial horas antes de que sea lanzada al espacio y la computadora de a bordo los identifica como astronautas y los manda al espacio! Sin preparación previa, deberán hacer todo lo posible por regresar a la Tierra con la ayuda de equipo que está en el control. Sin dudas es un tema muy interesante y está tan bien desarrollado que los propios actores juveniles fueron coucheados por verdaderos astronautas. Así los cuentan dos de los protagonistas, Mita Czech y Bryce Gheisar, quienes encarnan respectivamente a la sabelotodo Samanta y al rebelde Elliott: “Para hacer la serie hablamos con un astronauta que nos contó cómo es la vida en el espacio, cuándo extrañás a tu familia y cuán emotivo podés ponerte”, dice Bryce. “Y tuvimos que aprender a manejarnos en la gravedad y lograr que las escenas se vieran reales. Mi personaje, Sam, es más inteligente que yo, aunque creo podría tener algunas de sus cualidades. Somos bastante cercanas”, agrega Mita en charla vía Zoom.

– ¿Qué es lo que más los atemorizaría de estar en el espacio como les ocurre a sus personajes?
Bryce – Los astronautas nos contaron qué se sentía al estar en el espacio y no es una experiencia de todos los días, sin dudas! Es tan único y diferente, una vivencia que no se puede imaginar. Cuando estás en el set podés pensar cuánto miedo llegarías a tener. En la serie experimentamos situaciones locas y algunas pueden suceder en la vida real. Uno de mis mayores miedos es hacer una caminata en el espacio y desconectarme de la nave, o que se abra el casco y sofocarme!

Mita – Seguir andando en el aire hasta que te morís es definitivamente atemorizante y el aislamiento, si bien lo experimentamos en nuestras casas durante la cuarentena, es muy diferente al nivel de aislamiento que tienen los astronautas. Es asombroso y muy especial trabajar con efectos especiales. Igualmente hay que tener mucho cuidado.

Bryce – Sin dudas Mita es una de las mejores para hacer los efectos especiales. A mí me tocaba hacer lo más divertido, que es seguir dando vueltas mientras floto porque no podés parar en la gracedad. Aunque me asusta trataría de hacerlo más.

– ¿Cuáles fueron sus mayores aventuras hasta ahora?
Bryce – Diría que irme de vacaciones a un lugar nuevo, desconocido, con otro idioma. Eso me pasó cuando fui con mi familia a Costa Rica. Estuvimos en la jungla y me sentí todo un aventurero.
Mita– Para mí también, ir a filmar a Canadá, que aunque está cerca delos Estados Unidos donde vivo es un lugar nuevo y para mi fue una experiencia distinta, interesante, probar otra comida… Ir al set por primera vez también. Allí todo está muy detallado, fue tan interesante e interactivo, todas las máquinas que se ven funcionan de verdad y es grandioso ver que podés interactuar con ellas-. y es increíble.


– ¿Si pudieran visitar otro planeta, a cuál les gustaría ir?

Mita – Iría a Marte o Neptuno. Marte es similar a la tierra y Neptuno me parece muy divertido es un lugar al que nunca hemos ido.
Bryce – Nunca estuvimos afuera, quisiera ir a un lugar nuevo y ver otras formas es lo más excitante, como le pasó a la primera persona que pisó la Luna. Pero eso ya lo vimos, quisiera otro lugar al que no se haya ido aún.

Creo que hay vida afuera no se si más avanzada o inteligente que los humanos, creo que hay organismos allá fuera. Para mi no podemos ser los únicos en la galaxia, no sé si lo vamos a ver pero creo que hay en algún lugar.

'Avatar: The Last Airbender' Skins to Return to Smite Alongside New Azula Pele

One of the most mind-blowing crossovers in recent memory just got better!


If you liked Smite’s original six Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra-inspired skins, then get excited because there’s a seventh. A new Pele skin inspired by Avatar’s Azula is on its way, Hi-Rez announced today.

Last July, the Smite community was surprised to learn of a partnership between Hi-Rez Studios and Nickelodeon. This partnership led to the introduction of an Avatar: The Last Airbender-themed battle pass. The pass included six skins, two for Merlin, Skadi, and Susano. Each skin was a full-on transformation into a character from the Avatar Universe. When you use either of the Aang-inspired Merlin skins, for example, it looks as if you’re literally playing as Aang.

Thanks to Hi-Rez and Nickelodeon, another God is set to get an Avatar-themed transformation. Pele has a new skin on the way inspired by the Princess of the Fire Nation, Azula. You’ll be able to terrorize Aang across the Battlefield of the Gods just like Azula did all across the Earth Kingdom.


As an added bonus to the debut of Azula, all of the previous Avatar-inspired skins will once again be obtainable in Smite’s Update 8.5:

- Zuko & Zuko Blue Spirit Susano
- Aang & Avatar Aang Merlin
- Korra & Avatar Korra Skadi

Since these skins were only available through the battle pass, they’ve been locked away through chests—but not anymore.

Though Hi-Rez hasn’t revealed any pricing information about the returning skins, the team says we can expect more details with the update show debuting on Wednesday, April 28 at 2pm CT on the studio's Twitch channel, https://www.twitch.tv/smitegame.

Germany - SUPER RTL has announced that they are expanding on their successful partnership with Nickelodeon by acquiring the rights to three hit Nickelodeon shows: SpongeBob SquarePants, The Loud House and Blaze and the Monster Machines.

SpongeBob is no stranger to SUPER RTL, with the German free-to-air (FTA) network airing the series between 2002 and 2009 - and exclusively on the network between 2002-2005, until Nickelodeon Germany relaunched. Following an absence of 12 years, SUPER RTL has acquired 52 episodes of Nickelodeon's iconic animated series, and will start to air them weekdays at 2:05pm from Monday 31st May 2021.

Start dates for The Loud House and Blaze and the Monster Machines will be announced in the coming weeks. All three series will join Nickelodeon's beloved CG-animated series PAW Patrol on the network. Under the deal, Nickelodeon will remain the exclusive home of free-TV premieres of the three series in the country.

Additionally, SUPER RTL Licensing will also act as the new licensing agency for SpongeBob SquarePants and Blaze and the Monster Machines in the DACH (Deutschland, Austria & Switzerland) region.

Bei einem Sender mit vierfacher Reichweite erhofft man sich bei ViacomCBS auch mehr Effekte für das im Kinder-Segment lukrative Lizenz- bzw. Merchandise-Geschäft: Neben der Ausstrahlung der Serien übernimmt Super RTL Licensing als neue Lizenz-Agentur auch die Vermarktung von "SpongeBob Schwammkopf" und "Blaze und die Monster-Maschinen" in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz. Dauerbrenner künftig auf beiden Sendern zu sehen

„SpongeBob Schwammkopf“ zählt zu den Dauerbrennern im deutschen Fernsehen, der pro Tag auf mehreren Kanälen sein Unwesen treibt. Und demnächst kommt noch ein weiterer Sender dazu: Dank einer intensivierten Zusammenarbeit kommt die Nickelodeon-Serie demnächst auch zurück zu Super RTL – dort, wo der Bewohner aus Bikini Bottom vor 19 Jahren in Deutschland seine TV-Premiere hatte.

Schon ab dem 31. Mai wird „SpongeBob Schwammkopf“ montags bis freitags um 14:05 Uhr wieder bei Super RTL zu sehen sein. Darüber hinaus gesellen sich auch noch zwei weitere Nickelodeon-Animationsserien, „Willkommen bei den Louds“ und „Blaze und die Monster-Maschinen“, ins Portfolio. Die eigentlichen Konkurrenzsender Super RTL und Nickelodeon bauen somit ihre Zusammenarbeit weiter aus. Schon seit einiger Zeit ist „Paw Patrol“ aus dem Hause Nickelodeon, eine der aktuell beliebtesten Vorschulserien, parallel auf beiden Sendern zu sehen.

„SpongeBob“ kehrt somit dorthin zurück, wo er in Deutschland seine Anfänge hatte. Denn von 2002 bis 2005 war Super RTL die exklusive Heimat der Nickelodeon-Produktion. Dies hängt damit zusammen, dass während dieser Zeit der Kanal Nickelodeon nicht mehr bzw. noch nicht wieder in Deutschland existierte. Erst im September 2005 wurde die Marke hierzulande reaktiviert und der Sender zum zweiten Mal nach einer Existenz zwischen 1995 und 1998 gestartet.

Von 2005 bis 2009 war „SpongeBob“ dann parallel auf Nickelodeon und Super RTL zu sehen, bevor die Serie in Deutschland exklusiv zu Nickelodeon wechselte. Inzwischen läuft sie jedoch auch auf den ViacomCBS-Schwestersendern Comedy Central und MTV rauf und runter. Dadurch wurde „SpongeBob“ zur mit Abstand am meisten gezeigten Sendung des vergangenen Jahres. Satte 6179 Mal war die Serie 2020 zu sehen (fernsehserien.de berichtete).

Mit der nun bevorstehenden zusätzlichen Ausstrahlung bei Super RTL dürfte dies noch getoppt werden. Dabei gilt zu beachten: Super RTL wird insgesamt 51 Episoden aus den späteren Staffeln der insgesamt mehr als 260 Folgen umfassenden Serie zeigen. Free-TV-Premieren werden weiterhin bei Nickelodeon stattfinden – dies gilt auch für „Willkommen bei den Louds“ und „Blaze und die Monster-Maschinen“. VIS, Ricardo Siri Liniers Set to Adapt ‘Wildflowers’ as First Title in Development Deal

Marking further dynamic expansion, ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) and Ricardo Siri Liniers, Argentina’s best known cartoonist and children’s book author-illustrator, have announced they will adapt Liniers’ latest graphic novel, Wildflowers.


The project rolls off a development deal between VIS, ViacomCBS’ global production arm, and Liniers that was announced by VIS Kids at Kidscreen Summit Virtual 2021 in February, which mentioned the “adaptation of an upcoming book.”

Wildflowers (Flores Salvajes) marks the final part of a beginning readers’ graphic novel trilogy begun by The Big Wet Balloon, Liniers’ U.S. debut in 2013, and continued by 2017’s Good Night, Planet.

All three are odes to Liniers’ own three daughters. “As soon as I took a photo of my three young daughters looking at the jungle in Yukatan, México, I began to imagine this book,” Liniers has said. The three graphic novels also pay tribute, however, to the more general joy of childhood play and its imaginative powers.

Published this April in the U.S. by Toon Books, and garnering upbeat reviews, Wildflowers is a wildly imaginative tale, spangled by magic realism and Argentine conflation of reality and fantasy. It centers on three young sisters on a magical island where the flowers can talk, and the only animal is a minute gorilla – unless dragons count as animals.

Delicately and quaintly illustrated with warm natural colors, Liniers’ naif style is countered by echoes of U.S. pop culture – here both Lost and Jurassic Park– from a cartoonist and illustrator who has described his style as “observational, dark, absurd, sweet and strange.”

Liniers’ use of water-color and ink recalls French 2D animation in his largest drawings, suggesting, as his remarks on the VIS deal, that Wildflowers may be bound for an animated makeover.

“I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with VIS and watch the story of Flores Salvajes develop into a completely new format with the work of great animators and talented writers,” Liniers said Monday.

The Big Wet Balloon made the cut of Parents Magazine’s Top Ten. Good Night, Planet won the Eisner Award for best comics for beginning readers. In 2018 Liniers had his first major exhibition of original artwork in the U.S at The Society of Illustrators in New York.

VIS Kids

The Liniers’ deal marks part of VIS’ ongoing and energetic drive into kids entertainment. This saw it launch VIS Kids, overseen by the highly respected Nickelodeon exec Nina Hahn, in October 2020.

The Feb. 2021 Kidscreen creator-talent deals include three-to-five long format animation projects from Star Wars and Small Axe actor John Boyega’s UpperRoom Productions; a first-look deal with Fred Seibert‘s FredFilms (Nickelodeon’s The Fairy OddParents); and a female-fronting adventure comedy from the U.K.’s Wildseed Studios.

Other Kids & Family Projects in Latin America

Regarding Latin America and the Latino U.S., at April’s MipTV singer-songwriter Marc Anthony and J.C. Acosta, president of VIS Kids and ViacomCBS Networks International Americas, confirmed Latina social media comedy of manners Liked. It follows on a first kids project between VIS and Anthony’s Magnus Studios, the pre-school Gloria Wants to Know It All, which is also produced by Juan José Campanella’s Mundoloco Animation Studios in Buenos Aires and Miami-based Lanugo Media. Also in the works is a new series called Marcelo, Marmelo, Martelo from a Brazilian creator, as well as musical series Funknautas.    

VIS Kids has also optioned the rights for ¡Socorro!, a children’s book from the late Argentine author Elsa Bornemann.

VIS at the L.A. Virtual Screenings: Black Narratives

One of the world’s fastest growing production forces, at the L.A. Virtual Screenings VIS has announced further expansive moves. One is also inclusive: Black Narratives, a Brazil-based Latin American writing room of black writers, which Cuervo said marks just the beginning of VIS’ efforts to create more diverse content that represents cultures worldwide.

The team of writers will be led by Marton Olympio. It also includes Renata Diniz, Eliana Alves Cruz, Estevão Ribeiro and Lidiane Oliveira. Projects to be developed include series, fiction and films. The writers will also “serve as diversity and inclusion consultants, providing valuable insights that align with the market’s evolving demands,” VIS announced.

‘The First of Us’

Signaling the return of fiction series to prime time on ViacomCBS’s Telefe in Argentina, The First of Us (El Primer de Nosostros) has gone into production, starring Locked Up’s Benjamín Vicuña. The show turns on a group of friends who discover that one of their members suffers a terminal illness. That news reawakens “a profound desire to rediscover their feelings and find the real purpose of being alive,” VIS and Telefe announced.

The show will also air on Paramount+, as VIS steps up its supply of key titles to the ViacomCBS premium SVOD service. More details of this move may form one talking point at the VIS Global Screenings, which take place on June 2.

Nick India and Google Partner to Launch Hands-Free 'Nickelodeon Ludo' Game

Miranda Cosgrove Calls Out Racist Trolls for Attacking 'iCarly' Reboot Cast Member Laci Mosley: ‘It is not acceptable’

iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove has made it clear there is no space for racism ahead of premiere of the show's highly-anticipated revival in June after new cast member Laci Mosley was subject to hateful backlash online.

The beloved Nickelodeon comedy is heading back to screens with a revival series on Paramount+ and sees actress Laci playing Harper, the new best friend/roommate to Carly (Cosgrove).

After pictures of the new cast were shared online last week, some fans decided to make racist slurs in response to the fact Jennette McCurdy’s character, Sam Puckett, was being replaced by a Black woman.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday (May 16), Miranda reposted a message from the show’s social media page condemning the hateful comments. "iCarly are proud to be racially diverse, not only in our crew but our cast. We have recently seen reports of racism towards a member of our iCarly cast, and it is not acceptable," the statement read. "Please think about your words and take time to understand how what you say can impact other people. Thank you."

Laci also reposted the statement and told her followers: "I really feel taken care of at my job they are the best people."

Jerry Trainor and newcomer Jaidyn Triplett were among cast members to repost the statement on their respective Instagram Stories.

The A Black Lady Sketch Show star then shared examples of the racist slur being posted underneath her pictures as she added: "I’ve been deleting and blocking people but I can’t be bothered anymore, stay mad.

"I felt silly being upset by racism cause it’s just how this terrible planet is but sometimes it still catches me off guard."

The star also clarified she wasn't "replacing" anybody.

The iCarly star later tweeted that she learned racist comments were also being made about her on TikTok.

"My sister telling me that she saw several videos about me on TikTok being racist as f— broke my heart. Me and my sister are 13 years apart, she's like my child and her having to see this s— broke me. I don't know what's wrong with you people but you need to seek help," Mosley tweeted.

In another tweet, she said, "I'm gonna thug it out y'all can't break me. I've been through too much. But f— you weirdos, being a Black woman is so hard but so lit I'm gonna go harder you'll be mad forever."

In a separate post on Instagram, Laci stated: "I love being Black. I hate how Black people are treated on this planet. I took this role on iCarly because the room is diverse (@chescaleigh you’re a dream) our show runner @ali_schouten is so incredibly kind and caring and the cast is talented and some of the best people I’ve ever met."

The actor admitted she was "shocked" that a "celebration of all the hard work" the cast and crew have put into making the reboot was "overshadowed" by what she describes as "the most racism [she’s] ever experienced in [her] life over the course of 72 hours".  "I felt silly being so upset because I’ve been in this little brown body my entire life and racism isn’t new but it still hurts," she stated.  Addressing those trolling her in favour of McCurdy, Laci continued: "I’m not 'replacing Sam' I’ve never met her but I know she’s extremely talented and I hope she does not condone some of y’all’s behaviour. Racism kills."

She concluded her post: "I can’t beg you to love me or yourselves enough to be kind to people but I can block you and protect my peace. Thank you to my friends and family who have reached out to check on me I really appreciate you all. Black is beautiful and no amount of slurs or vitriol you dump online will change that."

“Hi, I’m playing Harper on ‘iCarly.’ I’m not replacing Sam. Jennette McCurdy is a wonderful person. I’ve never met her, but it’s no shade,” stated Mosley in the brief video along with the caption “Stop calling me n—-r and being racist.” 

In contrast to the bullying, Laci was flooded with supportive messages from her followers, including one who said: "You deserve this role!!!! Forget what anyone else says!!"  "I am so glad that this show & some ignorant reactions to your casting is giving the world the chance to see how spectacular you are, my friend!" another fan said. 

Giving Laci a virtual hug, another supportive follower commented: "Oh my God I am just horrified that this happened. I am so sorry that this happened to you Laci. You’re so talented you’re such a bright light you’re such a wonderful person I’m just so sorry that this happened."

Mosley later apologized for using expletives, writing, "I shouldn't have been cursing in this response but I was really caught off guard by the onslaught of racist trolls. I deleted a lot of comments but they keep coming on every platform."

"Being a Black woman is exhausting. We all deserve better," she added.

Recently, Miranda and Laci offered a glimpse into their new real-life friendship while sharing photos from the set.

"I've never found a new friend on a job so quickly!" Laci shared on Instagram. "Miranda you're a hilarious, talented, beautiful, and kind individual. I'm so blessed to have you in my life. You deserve all the good things and I hope you have the best birthday babe!"

Miranda would respond in the comments writing, "You're the best Laci. So lucky to work with you."

The racist attacks against Mosley are sickening to read. However, it is touching to see the iCarly cast and crew as well as fans coming to her defense and standing against racism. As Paramount+ stated, individuals truly need to think about their words before they choose to say or post something. Hiding behind a computer screen on social media doesn't make one immune to the consequences of one's words and neither does it make such words any less painful to the victim. The strength that Mosley demonstrated by holding her head high and showing such grace in the face of such evilness, as well as the support from the iCarly cast, is a strong warning to the attackers to think twice about their actions, because this crew isn't about to let them get away with their racism.

Unfortunately, Laci isn't the first black actor to get abuse just because the color of their skin. When Ghostbusters: Answer The Call was released, former Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones received a barrage of abuse.

Picking up nearly 10 years after the original show ended, the iCarly reboot finds Carly Shay, the original influencer, and her friends navigating work, love and their family in their twenties. 

The new iCarly series will feature two new cast members: Laci Mosley (Florida Girls) as Harper, Carly’s roommate and best friend; and Jaidyn Triplett (The Affair, See) as Millicent, Freddie’s snarky and social media-savvy stepdaughter. Mosley and Triplett will appear alongside returning original series stars, Miranda Cosgrove (Carly), Jerry Trainor (Spencer) and Nathan Kress (Freddie).


One of the show's writers, Franchesca Ramsey, also spoke out against the racist comments.

"Hey #iCarly tweeps! I'm seeing a looooot of racist abuse being hurled at one of our stars & I'd love if you'd join me in calling it out it when/if you see it," Ramsey wrote.

She continued in another tweet, writing, "I'm sad this has to be said but if I'm being honest...I kinda expected it. And I hate that. It's heart breaking that Black women just EXISTING results in an onslaught of racist abuse."

"Laci's character Harper isn't replacing Sam. No one could replace Jeanette McCurdy or her incredible talent! But it's both racist as hell & completely unfair to decide that Laci hasn't earned her role especially since the show isn't even out yet!!" Ramsey added.

Canada - The ultimate Nickelodeon cartoon trivia showdown is coming to YTV with the premiere of Tooned In, an epic gameshow that puts contestants to the test to prove their animation knowledge. Hosted by an animated A.I. supercomputer, three kids compete in rounds of trivia for a chance to be declared the episode’s big winner. Tooned In premieres Monday, May 31 at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT.


In Tooned In, an animated A.I. robot, Nicky (voiced by Rama Vallury, AOK), hosts a gameshow where kid contestants compete in a battle of Nickelodeon cartoon knowledge for the chance to be named the night’s big winner and take home exciting prizes. Each episode features three kids who must solve animation questions across slime-filled rounds of trivia until only one contestant is left in the competition. The final kid will then be declared the episode’s big winner and move on to a special prize round to compete against Nicky and climb the robot’s motherboard for a chance to win the $1,000 grand prize.


Tooned In is co-executive produced by Rich Brown (Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Beat the Clock) and Michael Dugan (Trivial Takedown, The Hollywood Puppet Show). Flavia Casas (Group Chat) serves as senior producer with Phil Moore (Nick Arcade, Ryan's Mystery Playdate) serving as producer. The series is directed by Genji Keen (The Dungeon Run, Good Mythical Morning). Production of Tooned In for Nickelodeon is overseen by Ashley Kaplan, Senior Vice President, Digital Studios; and Luke Wahl, Vice President, Digital Studios.

Devon Werkheiser Gives 'Ned's Declassified Adult Survivor Guide' Update

Devon Werkheiser has opened up about a potential reboot of his hit Nickelodeon comedy series Ned's Declassified School Survivor Guide! Unfortunately, he's hit a bit of a snag!


Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide follows the lives of Ned (Devon), Cookie (Daniel Curtis Lee) and Moze (Lindsey Shaw) and their adventures in James K. Polk Middle School. The show deals with handling academic subjects, as well as social problems such as friends, lockers, projects, and tests. Each episode focuses on one main issue students normally encounter in school while providing tips on how to handle these situations, both comical and serious. The series originally ran for 54 episodes across three seasons between September 12, 2004 – June 8, 2007, becoming a firm fan favorite.

With many beloved TV shows getting the reboot treatment, fans have been wondering whether Ned's Declassified would be getting the reboot treatment! Taking to TikTok, Devon explained the situation!


It turns out that the actor has been working hard on a adult-focussed reboot of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide over the last two years! Titled Ned's Declassified Adult Survival Guide, the series would see Ned, Moze and Cookie getting out of college and struggling with life in their 20s, with the characters giving tips on how to handle taxes, online dating, self-care, roommates, budgeting, et al.

The series would be similar to the actor's Devon's Life Survival Guide web-series.

Devon reveals that he wants it for both fans and himself, and thinks that it would be amazing to make a self-help sitcom for a generation that needs a friend.

Devon also revealed that Daniel and Lindsey are onboard the reboot, as well as Scott Fellows, the show's original creator and producer.

However, the series has hit a brick wall: They don't own the rights - Nickelodeon and AwesomenessTV do.

Devon revealed that they have taken the idea of the Ned's Declassified revival series to Nickelodeon and AwesomenessTV, however, they passed on the idea, and won't let them sell the idea to another studio/network, meaning that the reboot's currently "dead".

Devon closes his video by saying that he's "really sad" now, and thanks viewers for being fans of the show.

With Nickelodeon producing an iCarly revival for Paramount+, which will pick up where the characters left off nearly 10 years ago, and is said to be working on a Zoey 101 revival, also picking up where the characters are now in their lives, its disappointing that there doesn't seem to be room for a Ned's Declassified revival, especially in these troubled times.

The good news is that the original series is available to stream on Paramount+!

Nickelodeon Merges Animation and Live-Action Casting Teams

Nickelodeon has announced that it will consolidate its animation and live-action casting and talent under one team led by Liz Paulson, Senior Vice President (SVP) of Talent and Casting for Nickelodeon Kids & Family.


Paulson will expand her current role of overseeing animation casting and talent development into the live-action sphere. Based in Nickelodeon’s Burbank animation studio, Paulson will report to Ramsey Naito and Brian Robbins.
