Nickelodeon South East Asia will be celebrating International Family Day on Friday 14th May 2021 with the premiere of the brand new Blue's Clues & You! episode  “Blue’s Big Baking Show” at 9:00am (PH)!


In the all new episode, fans will meet Josh’s “lola” as Josh and Blue spend the day making bibingka, a cake from the Philippines that is “masarap” (delicious)!

Blue's Clues & You! is a curriculum-driven interactive series that follows Blue as she invites viewers to join her on a clue-led adventure and solve a puzzle in each episode. The series features Filipino-American theater actor/presenter Josh dela Cruz following in, not just Blue’s paw prints, but also the footsteps of former Blue’s Clues hosts Steve Burns (1996-2002), Donovan Patton (2002-2006) and Kevin Duala (1998-2003, in the United Kingdom), as well as Duarte Gomes in Portugal and HyunShup Shin in Korea!

New 'The Casagrandes' Episode 'Matters of the Kart' Announced

Information for an upcoming brand new The Casagrandes season two episodes has been unveiled!


In "Matters of the Kart", after an old man wins Carl's dream go kart, Carl wants to prove that he's worthy of the prize himself. Then, in "Saving Face," Ronnie Anne and Sid are determined to find out if the new building tenant is their favourite wrestler La Tormenta.

In "Chancla Force," Carl takes Rosa's chancla, setting off the balance of order in the city, and calling the Chancla Force into action. Then, in "Fluff Love", Carlitos goes on a wild adventure to get his favourite stuffed animal from the arcade.

"Matters of the Kart" will premiere on Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand on Tuesday, May 11 at 4:30 p.m. AEST. A U.S. airdate has yet to be announced.

‘Rugrats’ Voice Actor Elizabeth Daily Recorded Some of Tommy’s Lines Just Before Giving Birth

Throughout the ’90s, Nickelodeon's Rugrats was a TV show phenomenon. Young children and adults all loved to watch what kind of chaos would follow the beloved group of toddlers.


With a kids-eye view of the world, the show’s success helped elevate Nickelodeon to must-watch status. Today, kids from that generation fondly remember watching Tommy, Chuckie, and Angelica navigate their day-to-day life. And while the show was funny, many of the actors voicing the characters dealt with hilarious situations in real life.

‘Rugrats’ background

Back in the late ’80s and early ’90s, The Simpsons was a massive hit. Arlene Klasky and her then-husband Gabor Csupo ran the production and animation company working on the show. It was there the characters turned yellow, and Marge got her signature blue hair. The two then went on to create Rugrats, inspired by their two young sons and what would happen if the babies could talk.


In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Klasky said she didn’t want their characters to look like typical Saturday Morning cartoons. “Our aesthetic was offbeat and quirky. I personally didn’t draw the way Disney did. I drew artsy, cartoony, humorous drawings. And Gabor came from traditional animation, but he’s a visionary. We both loved European art and Japanese animation. Some people thought our style was ugly. We thought it was beautiful.”

Csupo agreed, “We started to draw crazy-looking babies. And the more outrageously funny they looked, the more we liked them.”

The show was a (Reptar) runaway success. It was different enough to gain attention but still gave parents peace of mind letting their kids watch it. As the years went on, the characters became more complex, and the show gained even more traction. In 1994, Rugrats went into syndication, and that’s when its popularity really soared. According to The New Yorker, the show had 26 million viewers a week, making it one of the top cable programs.

New shows started up again in 1996, and a slew of movies followed due to its popularity. A 2001 special All Growed Up celebrated the show’s tenth anniversary and served as the pilot for its own spinoff series, All Grown Up!, following the crew ten years down the line. The sequel aired from 2003 to 2008.


In 2018, Nickelodeon and Paramount announced a Rugrats reboot was in the works. Featuring all the original voice actors, along with some new characters, the show plans a return to entertain a whole new generation of fans. The reimagined CG-animated Rugrats series will make its highly-anticipated premiere on Paramount+ on Thursday, May 27!

Most of the voice actors are women

While some of the main characters in Rugrats are boys, their voices belong to women. E.G. (Elizabeth) Daily and the late Christine Cavanaugh are the voices of Tommy and Chuckie, respectively.

That should come as no surprise since Nancy Cartwright is well-known for her role as Bart Simpson’s voice. Cartwright also took over the voice of Chuckie after Cavanaugh retired from voice acting. The success of the show meant Daily and Cavanaugh were always busy. So busy that Daily told an interesting story about one of her most unusual recording experiences.


Mental Floss reports that Daily continued to work while she was in labor. “The engineer was like: ‘Your contractions are coming really quickly now.’ And I was like: ‘No, I’m fine.’ Very soon after that, I had my daughter.” Whew, talk about dedication to her craft! She voiced the Tommy Pickles character for the show’s entire 13-year run and its spinoff series.

While she plans to revive her role as Tommy during the reboot, most recently she was on The Voice. Too Fab reports that she auditioned back in 2013 and stunned the judges. She made it onto Team Blake but lost in the knockout rounds.

Ryan is set to enter the virtual Command Center in the all new fourth season of his hit Nickelodeon preschool series, Ryan's Mystery Playdate! Get ready to play along with Ryan in a whole new way, plus all new playdates that will make you say "woah!" Catch the premiere of Ryan's Mystery Playdate: Command Center, all week at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT starting Monday, May 3, only on Nick Jr. on Nickelodeon!

The new, 10-episode season will follow Ryan and his parents in a revamped Playdate Command Center. Each episode will feature imaginative challenges, animated specials, and celebrity guests. Viewers can travel with Ryan and animated historic pals to different time periods and locations, or watch Ryan’s playdates with WWE Superstars Ember Moon and Kurt Angle, rock band OK Go, professional soccer player Christie Pearce Rampone, PGA golfer Harold Varner III and other notable celebs. The episode will show Ryan and his family pouncing and clawing their way through puzzles and obstacles with a wildlife guide. Then, Ryan will have a sporty playdate with professional soccer player Christie Pearce Rampone, while he learns how to knee-slide and shoot the ultimate goal!

New episodes of Ryan’s Mystery Playdate will air Monday–Thursday at 10 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. It will also air regularly on the Nick Jr. channel Tuesday–Friday at 3:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Nick Jr. UK to Premiere 'Blue’s Clues & You!' Season 3 in October 2021; Consumer Products to Be Released Summer 2021

A remake of the ground-breaking, curriculum-driven interactive series Blue’s Clues, Blue’s Clues & You! has invited a new generation of pre-schoolers to search for clues with beloved puppy Blue and new live-action host Josh Dela Cruz. The series, which launched last year on Nick Jr. in the UK & Ireland, features new CG-animation for Blue and Magenta, brand-new elements and refreshed iconic items from the original series including an updated Handy Dandy Notebook equipped with smartphone technology, plus the return of fan-favourite characters.


Blue’s Clues & You! is currently the No.4 show in the UK. The second season of the show launched in November 2020 and a third season will be coming to Nick Jr. UK & Ireland in October this year. Blue’s Clues and You! also launched on Channel 5’s kids’ block, Milkshake! in Q4 2020 and has got off to a strong start.

The consumer products roll-out of Blue’s Clues and You! in the UK is scheduled for July. Just Play is
confirmed to be the master toy partner for the brand, working alongside its distribution partner Flair,
and will develop an exciting line including plush and interactive toys aimed at pre-schoolers aged
2-5 years old. Additional partners for the pre-school brand in the UK include Amscan on costumes
and dress up, Melissa & Doug with arts & crafts, Kid Designs for consumer electronics, Imagine8 on
accessories, and Kimm & Miller for novelty food gifting. Fashion UK and Blues will cover daywear, with Aykroyd TPD on nightwear, while Character World will focus on bedding. In the publishing space, Egmont has acquired the UK rights for Blue’s Clues & You! themed magazines, while Signature Gifts has picked up the rights for personalised books.

ViacomCBS Consumer Products Announces UK Partners for 'PAW Patrol: The Movie' Merchandise

ViacomCBS Consumer Products UK has signed 21 new and renewed partnerships for PAW Patrol: The Movie ahead of the film’s scheduled release into cinemas in August 2021.


The new licensing programme, due to hit shelves across the U.K. from July next year, includes products across an array of categories, including toys, apparel, accessories, consumer packaged goods, home, publishing and home entertainment.

Spin Master, producers of PAW Patrol and the master toy partner, will lead the roll-out by unveiling a specially developed toy line comprised of figures, plush, role play, vehicles and playsets, as well as a range of True Metal vehicles.

Further product launches in the U.K. will follow from a number of key licensees, including Play by Play, Crayola, Vtech, Sambro, RMS International and Kiddieland, who are all confirmed to create toys and games inspired from the new PAW Patrol movie look and feel.


On the home and apparel front, ViacomCBS Consumer Products has partnered with Blues and Fashion UK for daywear, Aykroyd TDP for nightwear and Amscan for costumes. Bedding and textiles will be created by Character World.

ViacomCBS Consumer Products will also continue its partnership with Worlds Apart, Kinnerton, Seabrook, Yoplait and Beiersdorf, as well as joining forces with new partners.

In the publishing space, Signature Gifts will release personalised books, and Egmont is set to release a PAW Patrol magazine special and movie tie-in books. Other partnerships include Danilo for social expressions and DNC and Sambro for back-to-school accessories.

PAW Patrol: The Movie is a Spin Master Entertainment production in association with Nickelodeon Movies and will be distributed by Paramount Pictures.

Tonies has announced the PAWsome news that they'll be releasing a PAW Patrol Chase Tonie figure for their hit screen-free audio player the Toniebox on Monday 10th May 2021!


The Toniebox allows kids as young as three to listen to audio stories based on some of their favourite TV shows simply by popping a "Tonie" figure on it. The soft cube has a digital core which is intuitive and easy to use: the audio starts as soon as the “Tonie” audio character, such as Chase are placed to the
top of the “Toniebox” magnetic pad. No complicated controls or confusing displays. It couldn't be easier.

What Infinity Train's Cancellation May Mean for the Future of Kids Animation

Infinity Train's cancelation, allegedly due to Book 5 lacking a "child entry point," is a bad omen for future animated programming on kids networks.


Infinity Train's creator Owen Dennis has said that Cartoon Network rejected a completed script for an Infinity Train Book 5 movie because it focused on Amelia, an adult character, and lacked a "child entry point." This news has left a lot of Infinity Train fans both frustrated and confused. Cartoon Network has had plenty of successful shows about adult characters over the years, from Samurai Jack to Regular Show, so if the current management rejected Infinity Train Book 5, it makes one wonder if they would've rejected those shows if they were pitched today.

According to a Twitter thread by Kelly Turnbull, a storyboard artist who worked for Cartoon Network on the 2016 Ben 10 reboot, the answer is yes. The standards Cartoon Network and most other children's animation studios follow have grown ever more restrictive, with an increased focus on preschooler-friendly programming that would ironically have killed many of the most popular cartoons ever if they were trying to get their start now.

The list of shows Turnbull cites as likely to be rejected due to lacking "child entry points," both for starring older characters and featuring slightly edgier humor, includes SpongeBob SquarePants, Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life, CatDog, The Ren & Stimpy ShowGarfield & Friends, Regular Show, G.I. Joe, and Looney Tunes. Rugrats, meanwhile, would have the opposite problem: while studios don't want shows with protagonists way older than the target audience, they also don't want protagonists younger than the target demographic either. Villain protagonists a la Invader ZIM or Pinky and the Brain are currently considered to be mostly off-limits now due to fears of "imitable behavior."

Multiple animators responding to Turnbull's thread also noted another major shift at Cartoon Network in particular: the network only wants "strictly comedy" pitches at the moment. This seems like a serious departure from the more genre-bending programming that brought the network success throughout the 2010s. While the first season of Adventure Time could be described as "strictly comedy," it evolved into something a lot more complex, and it would take amazing mental gymnastics to pitch Steven Universe, even in its lighter first season, as "strictly comedy."Infinity Train was continuing that trend of emotionally complex comedy-adventure storytelling, but it seems Cartoon Network doesn't care for that trend anymore.

Obviously, already successful franchises are excused from the current pitching standards, so SpongeBob is still going strong and RugratsLooney Tunes and Pinky and the Brain got successful revivals. Even SpongeBob, however, is being given prequel spin-offs about the characters as kids, seemingly to fit current mandates better. Already established talent also seems to get some leeway, so a proven hitmaker like Genndy Tartakovsky can pitch a more serious action show to Cartoon Network and still get greenlit. But for new ideas from new creators, things are more restrictive than ever at the major kids' networks.

In industry terms, there are three main age demographics for children's animation: 2-5, 6-11 and 9-14. Most of the "kids'" cartoons older viewers care about would be considered for the 9-14 demographic. Cartoon Network used to be more friendly to the 9-14 demo than other cable networks, but has now mostly stopped and is instead trying to expand its preschool programming while keeping its 6-11 shows safe for even younger viewers, demanding formulaic "play patterns" for merchandising purposes.

Streaming is currently the best hope for cartoons deemed too dark or mature for little kids but not dark or mature enough for the Adult Swim treatment, but there are still problems there. Moving from Cartoon Network to HBO Max didn't save Infinity Train, and if anything, it seems like the AT&T merger and the needs of HBO Max might have hastened Cartoon Network's shift to preschool shows. Crunchyroll is making original animation in the young adult space, but its release patterns have been a mess. Netflix seems to be the most reliable producer of 9-14 shows at the moment, though it has its own limits of sticking primarily to anime/Avatar-inspired fantasy action shows for this demographic.

The cancelation of Infinity Train seems to signal some disappointing shifts at Cartoon Network and in the animation industry at large away from more ambitious all-ages TV series. The good news is that if things can shift this much this suddenly, things can shift in different directions just as quickly.

SUPER RTL in Germany Acquires Rights to 'SpongeBob', 'The Loud House' and 'Blaze'; To Serve As Licensing Agency for 'SpongeBob' and 'Blaze' in DACH Region

Germany - SUPER RTL has announced that they are expanding on their successful partnership with Nickelodeon by acquiring the rights to three hit Nickelodeon shows: SpongeBob SquarePants, The Loud House and Blaze and the Monster Machines.


SpongeBob is no stranger to SUPER RTL, with the German free-to-air (FTA) network airing the series between 2002 and 2009 - and exclusively on the network between 2002-2005, until Nickelodeon Germany relaunched. Following an absence of 12 years, SUPER RTL has acquired 52 episodes of Nickelodeon's iconic animated series, and will start to air them weekdays at 2:05pm from Monday 31st May 2021.

Start dates for The Loud House and Blaze and the Monster Machines will be announced in the coming weeks. All three series will join Nickelodeon's beloved CG-animated series PAW Patrol on the network. Under the deal, Nickelodeon will remain the exclusive home of free-TV premieres of the three series in the country.

Additionally, SUPER RTL Licensing will also act as the new licensing agency for SpongeBob SquarePants and Blaze and the Monster Machines in the DACH (Deutschland, Austria & Switzerland) region.

"The popular animated series with cult status are a valuable addition to our content and licensing portfolio. Together with Nickelodeon and our partners from industry and trade, we will thus sustainably strengthen the brands SpongeBob SquarePants and Blaze and the Monster Machines and further expand them with extensive activities," said Thorsten Braun, SUPER RTL Chief Content and Revenue Officer.

"Building on the successful cooperation on PAW Patrol, we are thus jointly fuelling success on all platforms and business with our licensing partners in the consumer products segment. Der legendäre gelbe Schwamm mit dem sonnigen Gemüt ist allseits beliebt und zählt auch 22 Jahre nach seiner deutschen Erstausstrahlung zu den bekanntesten Formaten der Kinderunterhaltung. Fans können den quirligen Unterwasserbewohner bereits in insgesamt zwölf Staffeln, drei Fernsehfilmen und drei Kinofilmen erleben. Und es geht noch weiter, eine 13. Staffel ist bereits bestätigt. Auch für SUPER RTL ist er kein unbekanntes Gesicht. "SpongeBob" war von 2002 bis 2009 ein fester Bestandteil des TV-Programms. Nach zwölf Jahren Abwesenheit erweist der Kultstar SUPER RTL erneut die Ehre. "Willkommen bei den Louds", "Blaze und die Monster-Maschinen“ und eben "SpongeBob Schwammkopf" sind künftig bei Super RTL zu sehen. Die Free-TV-Premieren aller drei Serien laufen zwar weiterhin bei Nick, doch die Reichweite des eigenen Kindersenders im deutschen Markt ist ViacomCBS offenkundig selbst zu gering. Zuletzt holte Nick bei den 3- bis 13-Jährigen nur 5,2 Prozent Marktanteil, weit abgeschlagen hinter dem Disney Channel (11,1 Prozent), dem Ki.Ka (17,3 Prozent) und Super RTL, das inklusive dem Timeshift-Kanal Toggo Plus im April 2021 auf 21,9 Prozent Marktanteil kam. Bei einem Sender mit vierfacher Reichweite erhofft man sich bei ViacomCBS auch mehr Effekte für das im Kinder-Segment lukrative Lizenz- bzw. Merchandise-Geschäft: Neben der Ausstrahlung der Serien übernimmt Super RTL Licensing als neue Lizenz-Agentur auch die Vermarktung von "SpongeBob Schwammkopf" und "Blaze und die Monster-Maschinen" in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz. Ein Modell, das Super RTL und ViacomCBS bereits bei "Paw Patrol" umgesetzt haben.

Dauerbrenner künftig auf beiden Sendern zu sehen

„SpongeBob Schwammkopf“ zählt zu den Dauerbrennern im deutschen Fernsehen, der pro Tag auf mehreren Kanälen sein Unwesen treibt. Und demnächst kommt noch ein weiterer Sender dazu: Dank einer intensivierten Zusammenarbeit kommt die Nickelodeon-Serie demnächst auch zurück zu Super RTL – dort, wo der Bewohner aus Bikini Bottom vor 19 Jahren in Deutschland seine TV-Premiere hatte.

Schon ab dem 31. Mai wird „SpongeBob Schwammkopf“ montags bis freitags um 14:05 Uhr wieder bei Super RTL zu sehen sein. Darüber hinaus gesellen sich auch noch zwei weitere Nickelodeon-Animationsserien, „Willkommen bei den Louds“ und „Blaze und die Monster-Maschinen“, ins Portfolio. Die eigentlichen Konkurrenzsender Super RTL und Nickelodeon bauen somit ihre Zusammenarbeit weiter aus. Schon seit einiger Zeit ist „Paw Patrol“ aus dem Hause Nickelodeon, eine der aktuell beliebtesten Vorschulserien, parallel auf beiden Sendern zu sehen.

„SpongeBob“ kehrt somit dorthin zurück, wo er in Deutschland seine Anfänge hatte. Denn von 2002 bis 2005 war Super RTL die exklusive Heimat der Nickelodeon-Produktion. Dies hängt damit zusammen, dass während dieser Zeit der Kanal Nickelodeon nicht mehr bzw. noch nicht wieder in Deutschland existierte. Erst im September 2005 wurde die Marke hierzulande reaktiviert und der Sender zum zweiten Mal nach einer Existenz zwischen 1995 und 1998 gestartet.

Von 2005 bis 2009 war „SpongeBob“ dann parallel auf Nickelodeon und Super RTL zu sehen, bevor die Serie in Deutschland exklusiv zu Nickelodeon wechselte. Inzwischen läuft sie jedoch auch auf den ViacomCBS-Schwestersendern Comedy Central und MTV rauf und runter. Dadurch wurde „SpongeBob“ zur mit Abstand am meisten gezeigten Sendung des vergangenen Jahres. Satte 6179 Mal war die Serie 2020 zu sehen (fernsehserien.de berichtete).

Mit der nun bevorstehenden zusätzlichen Ausstrahlung bei Super RTL dürfte dies noch getoppt werden. Dabei gilt zu beachten: Super RTL wird insgesamt 51 Episoden aus den späteren Staffeln der insgesamt mehr als 260 Folgen umfassenden Serie zeigen. Free-TV-Premieren werden weiterhin bei Nickelodeon stattfinden – dies gilt auch für „Willkommen bei den Louds“ und „Blaze und die Monster-Maschinen“. Super RTL Licensing wird zudem neue Lizenzagentur der drei Serien in der DACH-Region und übernimmt fortan die Vermarktung.

NickMusic will be a fun filled, family-friendly music show playing fan favourites and up and coming tunes that both parents and kids can enjoy together afterschool. The proudly locally produced music show will feature music from African artists and across the world.

Hosted by the multi-talented young social changemaker and Girl Up executive, Lerai Rakoditsoe who is a part of the network's Culture Squad, a team of visionaries, creatives and trendsetters who consistently push the culture forward across the children, youth and entertainment brand. Lerai will make history as the first African face for the channel when NickMusic premieres exclusively on NickToons (DStv Channel 308) from 17 May 2021, every Monday – Friday at 16:25 CAT / 15:25 WAT.

Born in Bassonia, south of Johannesburg, the 18-year-old is currently an Executive of Girl Up Johannesburg, a club under the global Girl Up leadership development organisation that is hosted at the United Nations Foundation.

Nickelodeon to Premiere 'Santiago Of The Seas' in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on Saturday 8th May 2021

Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland), Switzerland (Schweiz) and Austria (Österreich) will premiere Nickelodeon's brand new CG-animated preschool series Santiago Of The Seas on Saturday 8th May 2021, launching with double episodes airing at 7:30am and 7:55am, respectively in Germany and at 7:45am and 8:10am in Austria and Switzerland.


Following launch, new episodes Santiago Of The Seas, locally titled Santiago auf hoher See, will continue to air Saturdays at 7:30am in Germany and at 7:45am in Austria and Switzerland.

In the German dub of Santiago Of The Seas, Santiago is voiced by 13-year-old Berlin-based voice actor Marcello Renne, who speaks both German and Spanish and has Mexican roots. The German dubbing direction was headed by the well-known bilingual dubbing director and speaker Iris Artajo.

Immer wieder müssen die drei Freund*innen auch ihre Heimat, die Insel Isla Encanto, vor Feinden wie der hinterhältigen Bonnie Bones und ihrer Krähe Sir Butterscotch beschützen.    

In der ersten Episode “Die Legende von Capitán Calavera” werden Santiago und seine Freunde die Beschützer der Isla Encanto, nachdem sie den verlorenen Schatz des legendären Capitán Calavera entdecken.  

Wie bei der amerikanischen wurde auch bei der deutschen Synchronisation darauf geachtet, dass der Synchronsprecher von Santiago bilingual ist. Der junge Berliner Marcello Renne (13) spricht sowohl Deutsch als auch Spanisch und hat mexikanische Wurzeln. Die deutsche Synchronregie leitete die bekannte bilinguale Synchronregisseurin und -sprecherin Iris Artajo.  

Die erste Staffel umfasst 20 Folgen. “Santiago auf hoher See” wurde kreiert von Niki López, die auch Co-Produzentin ist. Die ausführenden Produzent*innen sind Leslie Valdes und Valerie Walsh Valdes.

Baby Shark’s Big Show! Premieres Monday, 17 May On Nick Jr. Australia


Nickelodeon’s brand-new and highly anticipated preschool series, Baby Shark’s Big Show!, is set to make a splash when it premieres on Monday, 17 May at 9am (AEST) on Nick Jr. Australia.

Co-produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio and SmartStudy, the global entertainment company behind the beloved children’s brand Pinkfong, the series follows Baby Shark and his best friend William as they journey on fun-filled comedic adventures in their community of Carnivore Cove, make new friends and sing original catchy tunes along the way.

“With Baby Shark’s Big Show!, the Nickelodeon Animation Studio team has taken the most popular song on the planet and created a whole new world of characters,” said Eryk Casemiro, Senior Vice President, Nickelodeon Preschool. “It’s a series that celebrates family, friends and adventure through comedy, catchy songs and stories of social-emotional learning.”

Baby Shark’s Big Show! features a swim-sational lineup of voice actors including: Kimiko Glenn (Orange is the New Black), as Baby Shark; Luke Youngblood (Glitch TechsHarry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone), as William; Natasha Rothwell (Insecure), as Mommy Shark; Eric Edelstein (We Bare Bears), as Daddy Shark; Debra Wilson (MADtv), as Grandma Shark; and Patrick Warburton (Tak & the Power of Juju, The X's, Rules of Engagement, Seinfeld, Family Guy), as Grandpa Shark.

The series is executive produced by Gary DiRaffaele (Breadwinners) and Tommy Sica (Breadwinners), with Whitney Ralls (My Little Pony: Equestria Girls) serving as co-executive producer. The series is produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, Calif., with production overseen by Eryk Casemiro, Senior Vice President, Nickelodeon Preschool.

United Arab Emirates - The legendary PAW Patrol pups, Chase, and Marshall will be visiting Dubai Festival City Mall for their next rescue adventure.

This exciting event is brought to you by the major shopping, dining, entertainment, and retail destination, Dubai Festival City Mall, in partnership with Nickelodeon, Spin Master and Event Box.

Kids are invited to challenge themselves in PUP-TACULAR games in the Adventure Bay activities area located at first floor opposite Famous Dave’s.


They will get to help the pups in rescue missions, while learning the importance of teamwork, recycling and more. Fired Up and ready to roll with firedog Marshall and Chase! Families can also meet and have their photo taken with PAW Patrol’s Chase and Marshall located at first floor opposite Build a Bear.

• There will be 6 sessions per day.
• Each Meet & Greet session will last 15 minutes.
• Daily timings are from 6pm to 10pm.

• In the spirit of fairness to all, families are allowed to take one photo only.
• For each meet & greet session, 40 families will have the chance to take photos with the characters.
• Kids should wash their hands before the photo opportunity.
• Parents and their children should be wearing facemasks.
• No food, drink or chewing gum should be taken to the Meet & Greet area.
• Parents/Guardians are responsible for the behavior and wellbeing of the child in their care and must maintain supervision at all times.
• Report all accidents to a member of staff, to ensure that we can provide any necessary assistance and minimize the potential of reoccurrence. These will be logged and are an important part of on-going safety audits.
• The participant agrees to the use by the organizer of any photographs, videos, comments and any audio in broadcasts, newspapers, brochures and other media in perpetuity without notice or compensation.
• Customer who spend AED 250 and above at any of Dubai Festival City Mall retailers will get 1 family entry pass to Paw Patrol Meet & Greet.
• Customer must verify their receipts to customer service desk before admitted to the meet & greet sessions. Accumulative bills is accepted.
• Customers who are eligible for the Meet & Greet will be provided with a wrist band in which indicates their Meet & Greet Timing.
• Only original store receipts will be eligible. Receipts marked DUPLICATE will not be accepted into the promotion. Splitting of receipts is not valid.

Adventure Bay, Activity Area

• The activation will run from 6th of May till 15th of May, 2021.
• Adventure Bay activity area will run from 12pm to 9pm every day, on a first come first served basis during the activation period.
• Adventure Bay activity area can be enjoyed by kids aged 3 years old and above.
• Max capacity of every session will be limited because of Covid-19.
• Parents and their children should be wearing face masks.
• All areas will have one staff member ensuring the social distancing, cleaning, and sanitizing of all the tables, benches and props. At the entrance, the number of kids permitted entry is limited to 4. Each area will be closed for 5 minutes every hour to be sanitized.
• All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. The Operator does not accept responsibility for the supervision of children.
• Parents are not allowed inside the activity area, but they are kindly advised to stay close, monitor their children and pick them up when they finish all activities in about 15 minutes.
• Children should wash their hands before entering Adventure Bay activities area.
• No sharp objects may be taken into the area.
• No food, drink or chewing gum should be taken into the activity area.
• Activity items should not be thrown at each other.
• Fighting or bullying will not be tolerated. Guilty parties will be asked to leave.
• Parents/Guardians are responsible for the behavior and wellbeing of the child in their care and must maintain supervision at all times.
• Report all accidents to a member of staff, to ensure that we can provide any necessary assistance and minimize the potential of reoccurrence. These will be logged and are an important part of on-going safety audits.
• All damages to Adventure Bay property either accidental or deliberate must be reported to a member of staff.
• Activation will be managed on first come first serve basis.
• All Customers will require to maintain social distancing within the activation and wear mask if applicable to the customer.
• Registration within the activation will be required, contact details might be asked should there be a waiting list to enter the activation.
• Sanitization protocols is a must within the activation. All items are being sanitized after each session.

ViacomCBS Networks International's (VCNI) Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia (EMEAA) has announced the fantastic news that Nickelodeon became the number one children's channel in Portugal in April 2021, gaining an audience share of 7.65%! The ratings were fuelled by The Thundermans (Os Thundermans), SpongeBob SquarePantsThe Loud House (Loud em Casa), It's Pony (É o Pónei) and new show Side Hustle! Additionally, the Nick Jr. channel received its highest ratings ever in April, reaching five place with a 1.33 audience share!

Nickelodeon Reportedly Shuts NickHits SVOD Service on Amazon, Roku and Apple TV

Nickelodeon has reportedly closed down NickHits, with the Nickelodeon-branded streaming service being removed from Amazon, Roku and Apple TV's channel stores. The news comes as ViacomCBS is bulking up its newly launched Paramount+ streaming service with Nickelodeon content.


Launched during early 2019, NickHits was Nickelodeon's SVOD service geared towards older kids. The channel was available as part of Prime Video Channels, however, non-Prime members could subscribe for $7.99/month (with a 7-day free trial).

The service featured a wide selection of programming from Nickelodeon's vast content library, most of which has now been added to Paramount Plus. Programming included: SpongeBob SquarePants, iCarly, Bella and the Bulldogs, RugratsAvatar The Last Airbender, AAAHH!!!
