Canada — Feb. 13, 2020— Grammy® Award-winning superstar Chance the Rapper is set to host Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020, the biggest and slimiest awards show where kids are in control, broadcasting live on YTV in Canada and Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Sunday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT) from the Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The live simulcast will give viewers in Canada the chance to catch all the slimy action as it happens.

Leading into Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020, YTV will simulcast the epic finale of Henry Danger with Nickelodeon at 7 p.m. (ET/PT)!

With surprises at every turn, Chance the Rapper will bring his charisma and upbeat energy to the Kids’ Choice Awards, an epic celebration of kids’ favorite stars across the worlds of film, television, music, sports and more. Viewers everywhere will be able to experience the show on all Nickelodeon screens and platforms, as Nick offers a front-row seat to slime, stunts and celebrities.

Said Chance the Rapper, “I’m honored to host this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards. I watched Nickelodeon growing up and now I get to slime some of my favorite people on stage. This is going to be a party that you won’t want to miss!”

Leading into the award show, Nickelodeon SlimeFest, a two-day family-friendly music festival, will make its west coast debut on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The event features performances by Nickelodeon star and YouTube sensation JoJo Siwa, breakout pop group Why Don’t We, Grammy® Award-nominated multiplatinum artist French Montana, viral chart-topper Blanco Brown and singer/ventriloquist Darci Lynne. This year’s Nickelodeon SlimeFest will feature a Sunday-only VIP ticket that includes access to a special performance viewing area, plus admission to Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020. All Sunday attendees will also have the opportunity to watch a livestream of Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020 on the festival screens.


Leading the pack with the most Kids’ Choice Awards nominations are: Avengers: Endgame, with 11 nominations; Taylor Swift, with five nominations; and Frozen 2, Henry Danger and Lil Nas X, with four nominations each. First-time nominees include: John Cena, DaBaby, Tiffany Haddish, Tom Holland, Brie Larson, Lizzo and Megan Thee Stallion. With another nomination this year, Will Smith becomes the most nominated celebrity in Kids’ Choice Awards history, with a total of 29.

Chance the Rapper is no stranger to Nickelodeon, having made a surprise appearance at last year’s Nickelodeon SlimeFest in his hometown of Chicago and taking home a coveted Kids’ Choice Awards orange blimp for “Favorite Collaboration” (“No Brainer” by DJ Khaled, featuring Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Quavo) in 2019. He was also nominated for “Favorite Song” (“I’m the One” by DJ Khaled, featuring Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Quavo and Lil Wayne) in 2018.

With kids having cast millions of votes for their favorite celebrities, movies, games and more, this year’s virtually produced show will reveal the winners through some of the most creative orange-blimp acceptances in KCA history.


Celebrities scheduled to appear on Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together include: Dwayne Johnson, Ariana Grande, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Camila Cabello, Millie Bobby Brown, Ellen DeGeneres, BTS, Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X, Dove Cameron, Tom Holland, David Dobrik, Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, SSSniperWolf, and more.

Ex na plaży

Na antenie MTV nie zabraknie oczywiście ulubionych programów widzów. Od 1 do 3 maja majówkowy maraton z hitowym reality show, "Warsaw Shore - Ekipa z Warszawy". Majówkowy weekend na antenie Paramount Channel przyniesie dwie premiery. W piątek, 1 maja o godz. 20:00 "Push", zapierający dech w piersiach thriller z Dakotą Fanning i Chrisem Evansem. Z kolei w sobotę 22:15 kultowe "Wściekłe psy", czyli mistrzowski kryminał samego Quentina Tarantino. Na tym jednak nie koniec! Emocji dostarczą również wieczory z serią horrorów o seryjnym zabójcy, "Piła'. Emisje poszczególnych części od 21 do 24 maja o godz. 22:00.

Atrakcje czekają również najmłodszych widzów. W maju na antenie Nickelodeon emisja premierowych odcinków animacji "Harmidom" oraz reality show "America's Most Musical Family". Natomiast 5 maja premiera trzeciego sezonu serialu "Dodaj magii". Majówkowy weekend upłynie pod znakiem maratonu "SpongeBoba Kanciastoportego" (1-3 maja, godz. 8:55-14:10), a majowe niedziele widzowie spędzą z "Alvinem i wiewiórkami". Ponadto antenę Nickelodeon przejmie "Niebezpieczny Henryk". Maratony z młodym superbohaterem, od 11 maja, od poniedziałku do piątku, od godz. 18:15.

W Comedy Central i Polsat Comedy Central Extra programy komediowe. Nie zabraknie kultowych "Przyjaciół" i "Teorii wielkiego podrywu", czy premierowych odcinków "Pełniejszej chaty". W Polsat Comedy Central Extra królować będą z kolei ulubione polskie hity komediowe, jak "Niania", Świat według Kiepskich" i "Spadkobiercy" oraz klasyk angielskiego humoru , Allo' Allo".

Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) will be treating viewers stuck at home during quarantine with the launch of Nick Gold, a new programming stunt which will see the return of the hit Nickelodeon series Drake & Josh, Sam & Cat and Fairly OddParents to the channel!


Airing as part of Nickelodeon Brasil's #GaleraUnida campaign which, complementing Nickelodeon's global #KidsTogether initiative, aims to raise awareness, educate and transmit positive messages to the public during the fight against COVID-19 (coronavirus), Nick Gold will launch on Monday 4th May 2020. Fairly OddParents will air weekday mornings at 9h30, Sam & Cat will air weekday evenings at 21h30, and Drake & Josh will air weekday nights at 20h00.

Additionally, Nickelodeon Brasil will air Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together on Tuesday 5th May 2020 at 21h.

Série de Ariana Grande e Drake & Josh voltam à TV para ajudar na quarentena

Para ajudar o público infantojuvenil que está isolado em casa durante a quarentena, as séries Drake & Josh (2004-2007) e Sam & Cat (2013-2014) vão voltar à grade da Nickelodeon no mês de maio. A segunda comédia era estrelada por Ariana Grande, atualmente uma das principais cantoras da música pop. A sessão retrô do canal também contará com o retorno da animação Os Padrinhos Mágicos (2001-2017).

Os três programas de ouro do canal serão exibidos de segunda a sexta em uma programação especial chamada de Nick Gold, parte da campanha #GaleraUnida que a Nickelodeon tem promovido para conscientizar, educar e transmitir mensagens positivas para o público durante o combate ao coronavírus.

As reestreias acontecem já na próxima segunda (4), às 9h30, com o desenho Os Padrinhos Mágicos. A história é protagonizada pelo menino Timmy Turner e por suas fadas-madrinhas com poderes mágicos, Cosmo e Wanda. Juntos, os três vivem grandes aventuras e se metem em muitas confusões.

A cantora Ariana Grande terá um horário de destaque na grade noturna da Nick, pois Sam & Cat será exibida às 21h30. A série aproveitou as duas personagens, que fizeram sucesso em iCarly (2007-2012) e Brilhante Victoria (2010-2013), e as uniu em uma nova atração que durou apenas uma (divertida) temporada.

Longe de seus amigos dos programas anteriores, Sam (Jennette McCurdy) e Cat (Ariana Grande) decidem montar um serviço de babás, mas suas personalidades opostas rendem as maiores trapalhadas.

Por fim, Drake & Josh será a atração do Nick Gold às 22h. Estrelada por Drake Bell e Josh Peck, a comédia mostra como dois estudantes que não têm nada em comum um com o outro veem suas vidas viraram do avesso quando o pai de um se casa com a mãe do outro. ViacomCBS Networks are reportedly planning close down TeenNick Italy (Italia) on Saturday 2nd May 2020.


Although currently unconfirmed, Sky Italia's online TV guide currently doesn't have any listings for TeenNick Italia past Friday 1st May 2020, the "broadcast day" that TeenNick is rumoured to be shutting down on.

Launched on Friday 4th December 2015, TeenNick is Nickelodeon-branded channel targeted towards older Nickelodeon viewers, and has seen the Italian premieres of such Nickelodeon series as Every Witch Way (Emma - Una strega da favola), Make It Pop, Noobees, Double Dare, The Dude Perfect Show, Vikki RPM, The Bureau of Magical Things, Star Falls, The Bureau of Magical Things, Hunter Street and I Am Frankie, as well as the home of Nickelodeon hits such as Zoey 101, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide (NED: scuola di sopravvivenza), Bella and the Bulldogs (Bella e i Bulldogs), Sam & Cat, The Legend of Korra (La Leggenda di Korra) and Big Time Rush.

If ViacomCBS Italia does close down TeenNick, it's currently unknown whether it'll be replaced with another Nickelodeon-branded channel, such as Nicktoons, or whether it'll just close with no replacement.

A new home in the city holds big adventures, laughs and love around every corner in The Casagrandes, Nickelodeon’s new original animated series, premiering on Nickelodeon Turkey (Türkiye) on Monday 30th March 2020! Following launch, new episodes of The Casagrandes, locally titled Casagrande Ailesi, will continue to air regularly on Nick Türkiye.

A spinoff of Nick’s animated hit The Loud House (Gürültü Ailesi), The Casagrandes tells the story of 11-year-old Ronnie Anne who moves to the city with her mom and older brother to live with their big, loving family, the Casagrandes.

After moving in with their grandparents in Great Lakes City, Ronnie Anne adjusts to her new life living under one roof and over the family-run mercado (local market), which is a gathering place for everyone in the neighborhood. The series showcases the culture, humor, and love that’s part of growing up in a multigenerational Mexican-American family.

The US-English dub of The Casagrandes stars Izabella Alvarez (Westworld) as 11-year-old Ronnie Annie, Carlos PenaVega (Big Time Rush) as her brother Bobby and Sumalee Montano (Nashville) as her mom Maria. Alvarez, PenaVega and Montano bring these characters to life, alongside: Carlos Alazraqui (The Fairly OddParents) as Carlos, “Tio;” Roxana Ortega (The League) as Frida, “Tia;” Alexa PenaVega (Spy Kids) as Carlota; Jared Kozak (Born this Way) as CJ; Alex Cazares (The Boss Baby: Back in Business) as Carl; Ruben Garfias (East Los High) as Hector, “Abuelo;” and Sonia Manzano (Sesame Street) as Rosa, “Abuela.” Additionally, Eugenio Derbez (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) gives voice to Dr. Santiago, a physician living and working in Peru, who is Ronnie Anne and Bobby’s father.

Ronnie Anne’s new apartment building holds new friends and neighbors, including: Ken Jeong (Dr. Ken) as Stanley Chang; Melissa Joan Hart (Clarissa Explains It All, Sabrina the Teenage Witch) as Becca Chang; Leah Mei Gold (Legion) as 12-year-old Sid Chang, Ronnie Anne’s new friend; and Lexi Sexton as Adelaide Chang, Sid’s 6-year-old little sister.

In the first episode, “Going Overboard,” Ronnie Anne finds out her Tio Carlos was a famous skateboarder and she begs him to teach her some new moves. Then, in “Walk Don’t Run,” Ronnie Anne and Sid start a dog-walking business to save up for a new skateboard in a plan that quickly gets out of hand.

The Casagrandestheme song is performed by pop star Ally Brooke.

The Casagrande family was first introduced in the The Loud House special, “The Loudest Mission: Relative Chaos,” which premiered in on Nickelodeon USA on May 2017 and ranks as the highest-rated premiere for the series in Live+7 with both K2-11 (6.6/1.8M) and K6-11 (8.1/1.3M).

The Casagrandes made its world premiere on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Monday, October 14, at 1:30 p.m. (ET/PT). Following its launch, the popular series has spawned a podcast, The Casagrandes Familia Sounds and vlog series. The series has been renewed for season two.


The Casagrandes is produced by Nickelodeon in Burbank, Calif. The series is executive produced by Michael Rubiner (The Loud House), with Karen Malach (The Loud House) serving as producer, Alan Foreman as supervising producer and Miguel Puga as supervising director. A big new wave of post Viacom-CBS merger layoffs started today (Wednesday, April 29, 2020). ViacomCBS, which is undergoing the final stage of its integration, is not commenting beyond the note sent this morning by CEO Bob Bakish, but according to sources, layoffs are said to be across the entire organization.


The Entertainment & Youth division has especially been hard hit, with Sarah Babineau, Head of Comedy Central Content & Creative Enterprises, among a slew of executives impacted as the group is undergoing integration. Babineau is expected to depart the company at the end of the year.

Over at Nickelodeon, Deadline has heard Sharon Cohen, Executive Vice President (EVP), The Nick Experience, and a Viacom veteran of more than 20 years, is leaving, along with her group whose focus had been expanding the Nickelodeon brand and its franchises beyond their linear and digital platforms through on-the-ground, real-world experiences.

In the era of coronavirus (COVID-19) and social distancing, that type of public, in-person social-interaction-based activities have been suspended for the foreseeable future. Some of the initiatives Cohen and her team shepherded included Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, the globally PAW Patrol Live tours; and Nickelodeon SlimeFest, Nick’s U.S. multiday music festival.

Related to that, executives in Nick’s live events department have also been impacted. A rep for ViacomCBS had no comment.

In addition to Babineau and Cohen, Tom Hayden, President of Smithsonian Networks, will leave at the end of next month after a transition period.

In his email to staff this morning, Bakish spoke about the company’s continuing efforts “to integrate and streamline our operations, manage our costs as diligently as we can, and follow through on our committed post-merger synergy targets.”

“Throughout this transformation, we want to be as supportive of our employees as possible, particularly given the circumstances we’re in,” he added. “Some of us are saying goodbye to incredible team members and friends – people who have made lasting contributions to the success of our company and have enriched our culture. I want to assure you that we are focused on making their transitions easier at this time, while supporting the needs of all our employees and their families.”

It’s been a brutal day across the cable networks of ViacomCBS in a new wave of post CBS-Viacom merger layoffs and reorganization. The highest profile departures have been in the Entertainment & Youth division, which is undergoing the final stage of its integration.

As part of that, Tom Hayden, President of Smithsonian Networks, will leave at the end of next month after a transition period. He joins Sarah Babineau, Head of Comedy Central Content & Creative Enterprises, who will be departing at the end of the year.

She is among a slew of executives that are being let go at Comedy Central, whose scripted team has been gutted, according to sources. I hear departures include Monika Zielinska, SVP,, Original Programming and Development, West Coast; Anne Harris, SVP, Talent and Development, and Tara Schuster, VP, Talent & Development.

It is part of post-ViacomCBS merger layoffs that were happening across the Entertainment & Youth unit today, with Pop and the Smithsonian Channel reportedly hit hard, and MTV and Lego also impacted, including a number of MTV News staffer who were let go today. Noone would comment but a number floated around indicates about 100 people may have been affected.

In an internal memo, Chris McCarthy, President of ViacomCBS’ Entertainment & Youth division, addressed the layoffs and restructuring, noting that the “changes were driven by two factors:: Shifting from cable to content which is at the center of everything we do and Moving from strong siloed brands to a powerful entertainment portfolio.”

The integration McCarthy is referring to involves bringing together and melding into a single organizational structure the four branded groups within the Entertainment & Youth unit: music (MTV, VH1, CMT & Logo), entertainment (Comedy Central, Paramount Network TV Line), with Pop and the Smithsonian Channel, which cane from Showtime Networks after the merger, as standalone entities. While Hayden is leaving, for now, indications are that Pop TV President Bradley Schwartz is staying.

Hayden joined Showtime Networks in 1989. In 2006, he was tasked with launching and developing Smithsonian Channel, a joint venture between Showtime Networks and the Smithsonian Institution, which launched in 2007.

Smithsonian Networks Head Tom Hayden Out as Post-Merger Layoffs Hit ViacomCBS

Amid a day of company-wide restructuring at ViacomCBS, Smithsonian Network president Tom Hayden will leaving his post at the end of May, Variety has learned. The reorganization — which includes layoffs of more than 100 employees primarily at MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Pop and Smithsonian — is part of the ongoing post-merger integration of Viacom and CBS that is designed to provide $750 million in synergies over three years. The layoffs are not related to the current coronavirus outbreak.

A wide range of divisions, from the programming and development executive suite at Comedy Central, as well as editorial staffers as MTV News, have been impacted. Comedy Central head of content and creative enterprises Sarah Babineau is also departing.

Hayden, who in 2007 launched the Smithsonian Channel — a joint venture between Showtime Networks and the Smithsonian Institution — first joined Showtime Networks in 1989, and had previously served in various roles at the network. He will depart after helping to shepherd the transition at ViacomCBS.

Chris McCarthy, president of entertainment and youth brands at ViacomCBS domestic media networks, informed staff on Wednesday that the company had taken the “final step” to merge its four branded groups together, driven by the decision to shift “from cable to content” and move “from strong siloed brands to a powerful entertainment portfolio.”

Earlier in the day, ViacomCBS Bob Bakish had sent out an internal letter to staff, explaining that it was “critical that we continue these efforts to integrate and evolve ViacomCBS to remain competitive now and for the future.”

“This means continuing to integrate and streamline our operations, manage our costs as diligently as we can, and follow through on our committed post-merger synergy targets,” wrote Bakish.

Smithsonian President Out as ViacomCBS Merges Branded Groups

The layoffs amid ViacomCBS' larger reorganization continue.

Smithsonian Channel president Tom Hayden is the latest network exec to be dismissed as the conglomerate merges its four "branded groups" into one unified organization. Sources say that Paramount Network senior vp unscripted Lauren Dolgen is also among those who have been impacted by Wednesday's layoffs.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the cutbacks impacted executives who carried the senior vp title across Paramount Network and Comedy Central and, to a lesser extent, Nickelodeon. The latter network's exec vp Sharon Cohen also departed Wednesday as the kid-focused cabler's live events division was also impacted by the cutbacks.

Earlier on Wednesday, Comedy Central's head of Comedy Central Content and Creative Enterprises Sarah Babineau was pushed out a mere three months after she was promoted to the new role. Keith Cox, who was promoted alongside her at the time, will absorb her responsibilities in his role as president of ViacomCBS' Entertainment & Youth Studios. As part of that job, Cox already had oversight of Smithsonian.

ViacomCBS' Entertainment & Youth Studios group is overseen by Chris McCarthy, whose massive purview includes MTV, VH1, Logo, CMT, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, TV Land and Smithsonian Channel. McCarthy, who reports directly to ViacomCBS CEO Bob Bakish, outlined the company's changed in a memo to staff (read it in full below) in which he outlined the "final step" to merge the four branded groups. To that end, McCarathy said the move is part of a shift from cable to content and from strong siloed brands to one "powerful" entertainment portfolio.

Hayden, who helped launch Smithsonian Channel in 2006, will remain on through a transition period before departing at the end of May.

Hayden joined ViacomCBS-owned Showtime in 1989 and formed Smithsonian Channel, a joint venture between the Smithsonian Institution and Showtime.

The news comes hours after Bakish sent a memo to staff detailing plans to continue "to integrate and streamline our operations, manage our costs as diligently as we can, and follow through on our committed post-merger synergy targets."

For its part, Viacom — even before it was re-merged with CBS — has been consolidating its entertainment brands for the past few years under Bakish. Longtime Viacom execs Debra Lee (BET), Kevin Kay (Paramount Network), Kent Alterman and, before him, Michele Ganeless (Comedy Central), Cyma Zarghami (Nickelodeon), Larry Jones (TV Land) and Brian Philips (CMT) have all been pushed out under Bakish's regime. McCarthy has since doubled the number of networks he oversees.

ViacomCBS laying off staff as part of post-merger streamlining

ViacomCBS laid off more workers Wednesday as part of ongoing streamlining efforts following the merger of Viacom and CBS, according to Hollywood Reporter.

The industry publication didn’t report exact numbers but said staffers were laid off at Nickelodeon, MTV News and ViacomCBS' advertising sales division.

Deadline reported layoffs are rumored to be 500 to 700.

In a memo to employees Wednesday, ViacomCBS Chief Executive Bob Bakish said the last few weeks of business disruptions amid the coronavirus pandemic has been “challenging” but said it was “critical that we continue these efforts to integrate and evolve ViacomCBS to remain competitive now and for the future.”

Bakish added that means the company will continue to "streamline our operations, manage our costs as diligently as we can, and follow through on our committed post-merger synergy targets.”

ViacomCBS had planned to enact several rounds of layoffs as early as late February. The merged company, which has more than 20,000-plus employees, said it planned to save about $750 million over three years as it consolidates media assets from Viacom and CBS.

"I know that even before the coronavirus pandemic, we were already in a period of significant change to integrate our newly combined company," Bakish wrote in Wednesday’s memo. “Some of us are saying goodbye to incredible team members and friends – people who have made lasting contributions to the success of our company and have enriched our culture. In April, ViacomCBS launched a $100 million relief fund for workers who were impacted on halted film and TV productions.

The film and TV industry has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic, as studios hatled productions and companies were forced to postpone movie openings.

ViacomCBS warned in a March 27 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that the novel coronavirus would have a "material" impact on its business and said it was "also working proactively to offset a portion of anticipated revenue losses through cost-savings initiatives,” according to Hollywood Reporter.

The company cited "cancellation or rescheduling of sports events for which the company had broadcast rights, and production delays in television and filmed entertainment" and said it wasn't able to estimate the impact on future operating results.

As part of the post-merger integration at the new Entertainment & Youth division, run by Chris McCarthy, there will be a further consolidation of top creative executives under Nina L. Diaz, President of Content and Chief Creative Officer for the entire group, I have learned.

President of Entertainment & Youth Studios Keith Cox, who was promoted alongside Babineau in January, will oversee scripted development and scripted studio production across the portfolio, I hear. Pop’s Head Original Programming and Development Justin Rosenblatt will straddle scripted and unscripted with focus on comedic content. Further integration of other teams across the networks, including talent, is expected, triggering layoffs.

The merger-related executive changes at Comedy Central started in November when the network’s longtime leader, Kent Alterman, stepped down as President, Comedy Central, Paramount Network and TV Land. That was when ViacomCBS’ Entertainment & Youth division was formed under McCarthy, who added Comedy Central, Paramount Network, Smithsonian Channel and TV Land and their respective content studios to his existing portfolio of MTV, VH1, CMT and Logo Media. (He has since also taken over Pop TV). The unit has been divided into four groups, music (MTV, VH1, CMT & Logo), entertainment (Comedy Central, Paramount Network TV Line), with Pop and the Smithsonian Channel as standalone entiries.

In January, Comedy Central Co-head of Original Content Babineau was named to the top programming post at the network in a restructuring, which saw fellow Comedy Central’s Co-Head of Original Content Jonas Larsen step down.

In her current role, Babineau oversees all creative content and talent development for Comedy Central, including shows, CC Films, projects from Comedy Central Productions for third parties, tent-poles, games and ancillary businesses.

Babineau quickly rose through ranks since joining Comedy Central in 2014. She is credited as the creative behind the brands’ most recent and biggest successes including the relaunch of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Inside Amy Schumer, Broad City, The Other Two and the network’s newest breakout hit, Awkwafina is Nora from Queens, starring Golden Globe winner Awkwafina.

Prior to joining Comedy Central, Babineau was development and programming executive at Amazon Studios helping launch Amazon’s foray into original comedy including Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle.

TeenNick Israel (יִשְׂרָאֵל) will premiere Rising, a new brand new live-action adventure series from Nutz Productions on Sunday 5th April 2020!


Set in 1946, two years before the state of Israel was founded, Rising follows brother and sister Emile and Elinore, illegal immigrants in Israel. They join a group of teens training in a secret base and recruitment center to act as Strike Forces against the British mandate. The fictional characters and events are juxtaposed against actual historical occurrences and real-life legends.

Rising, aimed at tweens and teens, is locally titled פלמ״ח/Palmach and is created by Eden Gurion and Yehonatan Bar Ilan. Filming on the series wrapped in January 2020. The series will air exclusively on TeenNick Israel, the Nickelodeon-branded tweens-and-teens channel that launched in 2017, via the Hot Cable Network and Yes Satellite network.

The news follows Nutz Productions, the subsidiary production arm of Ananey Communications Group, announcing plans to begin filming work on Sky (2 seasons, 20x22’), a new adventure drama from the creator and producers of Nickelodeon Israel's The Greenhouse and Netflix's Greenhouse Academy– Giora Chamizer and Nutz Productions – together with writer Noa Pnini, in February 2020 on various locations sites all over Israel.

Sky tells the story of a smart and assertive alien girl with the same name, whose spaceship accidentally crashes in a small town on earth. While waiting to be rescued, she hides by transforming herself into the body of the most popular girl in high school. With only three goofy friends to help her out, Sky must survive two weeks on earth without being discovered. Alongside the suspenseful dramatic plot, the general air of the show is whimsical and funny.

Similar to Rising, Sky is also set to premiere on Teen Nick Israel in 2020.

TeenNick Israel also debuted Spyders (formally titled The Covurts), the first original co-production between Nickelodeon International and Israeli production studio Nutz Productions together with Israeli cable network HOT on Wednesday 18th March 2020.

Spyders focuses on Anna and Noah Fisher, highly highly skilled undercover agents who work for a ECCO – Environmental Counter Crime Organization, and are tasked with fighting criminals who endanger nature or the environment. Little do they know that their three kids – Daniel (16), Nikki (15) and Tommy (12) – have discovered their secret occupation and have formed a task force of their own, named Spyders.

Nickelodeon has ordered 40 x 22-minute episodes, which will be distributed to Nickelodeon's international audiences spanning 170+ countries and territories via the brand’s more than 100 channels and branded blocks in 2020.

"Rising" is a first of its kind adventure series that tells the story of a group of exceptional teens secretly training as a strike force against the British Mandate in the two years prior to Israel's inception.

A new television drama for the teen and tween demographic debuted in Israel on Sunday, but this was not just another new release. Rising is a periodic adventure drama that, for the first time, take a look at teen life in pre-1948 Israel.

Set in 1946, two years before the inception of the State of Israel, Rising follows brother and sister Emile and Elinore, fresh off the boat illegal immigrants in Israel.

They join a group of exceptional teens training in a secret base and recruitment center to act as a strike forces against the troops of the British Mandate. The show follows their journey through the exhausting training, the imminent dangers and the surprising secret that comes to light – it is only they who can salvage the budding state.

A Nutz production, Rising unfolds against the backdrop of real event and in the presence of some of the era's iconic characters, such as Yitzhak Rabin, Menachem Begin, Shoshana Damari, and Yitzhak Shamir.

The show was filmed largely in the Beit Jimal monastery, a Catholic monastery run by Salesian priests and brothers near Beit Shemesh, which dates back to the Roman and Byzantine era.

Rising was created by Eden Gurion and Yehonatan Bar Ilan for Hot, Israel's primary cable TV provider, through the Ananey Communications Group. The latter owns 11 original TV channels and exclusive operation of Viacom brands in Israel, including MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.

Ananey Communications has subsidiaries: Nutz Productions and Shamaim. Its channels reach 78% of all Israeli households.

After having to postpone her sell-out first world tour, Nickelodeon’s JoJo Siwa D.R.E.A.M. The Tour due to the on-going global COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, JoJo will be treating fans to a virtual concert!


The special LIVE performance will stream on www.youtube.com/itsjojosiwa on Friday, May 1st at 12:00 PM PT / 3:00 PM ET right from her backyard!

In a behind the scenes clip of building the stage, JoJo explained how she came up with the idea when considering performing online for her fans. "I don’t want to sit on the couch and sing a song, or sit in my bedroom and sing a song. That’s not what I do", said JoJo, "I am a performer, I put on a show. So I let my imagination run wild!" JoJo will also be part of Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together, a show packed with stars, surprises and slime--and hosted by Victoria Justice (Victorious, Zoey 101, Fun Size), airing on Nickelodeon USA and YTV Canada on Saturday, May 2, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), and on Nickelodeon channels and programming blocks globally soon after. With kids having cast millions of votes for their favorite celebrities, movies, games and more, this year’s virtually produced show will reveal the winners through some of the most creative orange-blimp acceptances in KCA history.

The show will feature JoJo Siwa’s Slime Day, in which the star will discover slime that has been secretly placed in every area of her home!

Although JoJo has been in quarantine, the social media phenomenon has been keeping busy, including launching her own ice cream called "Sweet Celebrations" at Walmart, recording messages for kids who were set to meet the star as their Make-A-Wish - which had to be canceled or postponed because of COVID-19, and FaceTiming Sienna Wilson to celebrate her third birthday! JoJo's also working on her new Nickelodeon movie.
