Due to the COVID-19 (aka coronavirus) outbreak, Nickelodeon has regretfully had to cancel or postpone some upcoming live fan events that were set to take place around the world within the next couple of months.


Kids’ Choice Awards 2020

Nickelodeon is pushing back the date of its annual Kids’ Choice Awards, joining the growing list of live events, conventions and conferences that are being canceled or postponed amid a global pandemic that has seen over 1,200 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, in the U.S.

“The Kids’ Choice Awards scheduled for March 22, 2020, in Los Angeles is being postponed in consideration of the safety and well-being of every person involved with the show, which is our top priority,” said a Nickelodeon spokesperson. “We will have further information about a new date in the future.”

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to have global impact, we feel it is important to connect directly with you to share updates about American Dream.

Our hearts go out to all those who have been affected by the outbreak of COVID-19 both in the United States and globally, as well as in our local community. While there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at American Dream, after carefully reviewing the guidelines of public health agencies and in the best interest of our guests and employees, we have made the difficult, but responsible, decision to close American Dream, beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We anticipate remaining closed through the end of March, but will continue to monitor the ongoing situation and follow the guidance of Federal and State officials and public health agencies.

As part of this closure, scheduled preview opening of DreamWorks Water Park and various retailers on March 19, 2020 at American Dream is being postponed. We will provide information about new dates soon, as we continue to work with and follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), New Jersey Department of Health and the Bergen County Department of Health Services.

DreamWorks Water Park and Nickelodeon Universe tickets purchased for use between March 16, 2020 through March 31, 2020 will be automatically extended for use through December 31, 2020. Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America in Minnesota

NICKELODEON UNIVERSE is NOW CLOSED

Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America will be closed beginning Tuesday, March 17 at 5 p.m. through at least March 31. We understand that this decision impacts countless visitors – including families who may have planned their vacation here – as well as other tenants, the surrounding hotels and hospitality industry, and most importantly all of our employees.

The decision to shutter the nation’s largest indoor theme park comes after management of the Bloomington mega-mall held a webinar Monday with tenants on the plan.

- Online ticket orders that have not been picked up will be valid for pickup anytime within 12 months after Nickelodeon Universe reopens.

- Wristbands you currently have that are marked “valid date of first use” and have not been used will be valid anytime once Nickelodeon Universe reopens.

- Annual passes valid during the closure will be extended the number of days that Nickelodeon Universe is closed. Guests will still receive their full year of value.

- Point passes never expire and any remaining points will be valid any time after Nickelodeon Universe reopens.

- Guests who have purchased multi-day wristbands and attraction bundles and have partially used them can present the ticket at their next visit after Nickelodeon Universe reopens to receive a replacement ticket containing the full value of the ticket.

- For general questions and concerns, please call 952-883-8800. To request a refund or an extension of tickets, please call 952-883-8553 and leave a detailed voicemail; calls will be returned within 72 hours.

But that ability to attract people is precisely why we made the decision to temporarily close our doors.

Nickelodeon has announced that the recording of Nickelodeon Kids‘ Choice Awards: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz, Nickelodeon GSA's localised version of Nickelodeon's 2020 Kids' Choice Awards, on Thursday 9th April 2020 has been cancelled. Due to the COVID-19 (aka coronavirus) outbreak, Nickelodeon's number-one priority is the safety of their guests, and they've taken this decision as a precaution, following the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health and local authorities. Of course, this decision was not easy for Nick.

Nickelodeon promises fans that they are currently doing their best to ensure that a safe, beautiful show production can take place on a smaller scale in the future. What exactly this show will look like will be announced in the following weeks.

If you have purchased tickets for Nickelodeon Kids‘ Choice Awards: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz online via the ticket shop or via the guest service using your telephone number or e-mail address, you will be eligible for a refund. Nick appreciates that this is disappointing for everyone who was due to attend the event, however, their number one priority is to ensure the health and safety of our guests.

If you have purchased tickets for Nickelodeon Big Base Camp you will be eligible for a refund equal to the face value of your ticket (s), the booking fee and delivery costs. Your refund will be processed automatically on Wednesday the 18th March and will take 3 to 5 working days to arrive in your bank account. Putting you first

We are actively continuing to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation within the UK and the local area, and we can assure you that we are taking every necessary step to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and characters. We are currently open as usual and have taken a number of increased safety measures. We will continue to review these as the situation evolves.

What have we done?

Our cleaning schedules have been updated and increased, especially in high traffic areas, indoor areas and touch points. We have plenty of hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities across the site, so please use them regularly. All our staff, in all departments, are washing their hands more regularly and understand the importance of not coming to work if they show any symptoms. We are eliminating self-service items wherever possible in our catering and retail outlets. We are displaying NHS and Government backed hand washing and advice posters around the attraction

What can you do?

We need your help to ensure we can continue to offer a safe environment. If you are planning to visit and you are displaying ANY of the Coronavirus symptoms (recently started persistent cough, fever or breathlessness) we would ask you not to visit please. Please ensure you continue to observe increased hygiene practices while visiting the attraction. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) if you cough or sneeze and put any tissues in a bin immediately. Avoiding touching your face or eyes if you haven’t washed your hands recently. If you feel in any way unwell during your visit please contact a member of staff immediately and, where possible, maintain a safe distance of two metres.

Following advise to stay indoors, Movie Park Germany will be postponing its season opening until at least April 19. PAW Patrol: Adventure Play exhibit at the Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa, Florida

Tampa, FL - Based on the most current information from public health officials, and in support of community efforts to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), The Glazer Children’s Museum, Tampa Museum of Art, Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), Henry B. Plant Museum and The Florida Aquarium will temporarily close to the public beginning Monday, March 16 through Sunday, March 29.

There have been no known incidents of COVID-19 at the five museums and today’s collective action is voluntary.

“We recognize the importance of working together to ensure the well-being of our community remains a priority,” said Michael Tomor, Penny and Jeff Vinik Executive Director of the Tampa Museum of Art.

"Our organizations are still a resource to you even while our buildings are closed. Many of us have online materials, activities, and more to keep you connected during these two weeks,” said Sarah Cole, President and CEO of the Glazer Children’s Museum.

“The ability to support one’s community extends well beyond the exhibit path, classrooms and outreach programs,” said Julian Mackenzie, President and CEO of MOSI. “Being able to work together with other venues shows us what a great community of cultural attractions we have here in Tampa.”

“We recognize that our world-class organizations serve an important role by providing inspiration and inquiry, as well as providing an escape from daily challenges, however, this is an unprecedented event and the temporary closures place the health and well-being of our greater community first,” said Roger Germann, President and CEO of The Florida Aquarium.

"Prior to the coronavirus, the most serious pandemic in the US took place in the late Victorian era. Given our historical focus, we believe we need to be especially sensitive to the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic can have on our community," said Cynthia Gandee Zinober, Executive Director of the Henry B. Plant Museum.

"We as museum boards are taking the necessary precautions we need to keep our community safe and keep our citizens healthy. We deeply care for the families we serve, who remain our top priority as a member of the arts community," said Hillsborough County Commissioner Sandy Murman.

Commissioner Murman is the current chair of the board at The Glazer Children's Museum and serves as a trustee for The Florida Aquarium and The Tampa Museum of Art.

Staff at all five cultural attractions will be paid their full compensation per their regular work schedule for the two-week period.

Nickelodeon Beach at Raging Waters Sydney (formally Wet’n’Wild Sydney, Australia)

Raging Waters Sydney has issued the following information for guests:

RAGING WATERS SYDNEY COVID-19 PREVENTATIVE MEASURES

Following the advice provided by the Chief Medical Officer and NSW Health that non-essential mass public gatherings of 500 people be cancelled, Raging Waters Sydney will be closed from 16 March 2020.

This decision has been made as a preventive measure to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 to help keep you, our team members, and our communities safe and healthy.

This will mean the season will end 2 weeks earlier than the scheduled date of 29 March 2020.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of our guests and staff is our number 1 priority. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation in this matter.

At Village Roadshow Theme Parks, the safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members is our utmost priority.

Government Update:
The Prime Minister and Chief Medical Officer have provided information regarding Australia's response to COVID-19 which includes the suspension of static, seated events of more than 500 people for a sustained period of time.

This advisory does not apply to Village Roadshow Theme Parks properties as we are predominantly an outdoor experience, which is not static.

At the advice of the Government, we will continue to operate Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, Wet’n’Wild, Paradise Country, Topgolf and Sea World Resort as normal. Australian Outback Spectacular will operate at a reduced capacity in-line with Government recommendations.

Guest Safety & Our Protection Measures

The parks will continue to operate with additional stringent hygiene and safety measures in-place. We have and will continue to, undertake rigorous hygiene standards, cleaning procedures and health and safety standards including:

• A large and experienced cleaning department of over 170 Team Members
• Updated signage on best hand washing techniques and practices
• Reinforced vigilance in hand washing throughout our properties
• On-site first-aid facilities with registered nurses with an isolation procedure in-place
• An increased number of hygiene hand washing stations
• Activating Safety Alert Bulletins issued by Queensland Health
• Displaying the latest Safety Alerts for guests to keep up to date
• Close working relationships with emergency services

In addition to the above, to further strengthen our rigorous hygiene standards, we are putting plans in place to:

• Conduct additional cleaning of rides and attractions including ride harness wipe downs
• Provide updated additional hygiene signage in-park

In response to COVID-19, the Museum has decided to temporarily suspend operations for the remainder of the month.

In light of ongoing developments resulting from the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the national move to delay or cancel large group gatherings as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization, Children’s Museum of Atlanta will suspend all operations effective Saturday, March 14 until the end of March.

Children’s Museum of Atlanta is committed to the health and wellbeing of all families of our community, and we are taking this action to do our part to help slow the rate of infection and mitigate the risk that COVID-19 poses to Atlanta. We will reassess reopening at the beginning of April if judged to be responsible based on guidelines from public health officials.

This decision was not made lightly and we understand the complexities of this situation. We apologize for any inconvenience, and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--Nickelodeonannounced today’s launch of #KidsTogether, a global, multiplatform prosocial initiative using its most popular characters and talent to engage with kids and families on tips for staying healthy and also ideas for activities to do together while in the home. Featuring SpongeBob SquarePants, Blue’s Clues & You!, Henry Danger, Bubble Guppies and The Casagrandes, #KidsTogether is intended to serve as an additional resource for parents while providing kid-appropriate, kid-directed information through original short-form videos, interstitials, downloadable activities and social content, with elements aggregated for easy access on a central online destination, NickHelps.com.

Additionally, Noggin--Nickelodeon’s direct-to-consumer interactive learning service for preschoolers--will be offered for free for three months starting next week to millions of kids in need through the help of national partner organizations, including the National Head Start Association and First Book. Noggin’s free trial period will also be extended to 60 days to all new subscribers, effective at the end of the month. The ad-free educational content on Noggin currently includes over 1,000 iconic, full-length episodes, short-form videos, and hundreds of interactive learning games and ebooks featuring preschoolers’ favorite characters and more.


#KidsTogether’s content, available across Nick’s screens starting today and ramping up through the rest of the week and beyond, features:

  • Original short-form digital and linear content such as SpongeBob practicing social distancing, the Bubble Guppies demonstrating proper hand-washing techniques, and Chickaletta and the PAW Patrol showcasing awesome dance moves to promote physical activity and wellness;
  • Nick-branded interstitials made in partnership with GoNoodle that encourage kids to get up and get moving, with help from Young Dylan’s beats or by joining Lincoln Loud’s dance party;
  • Printable Blue’s Clues & You! activity sheets and Bubble Guppies coloring pages, along with offscreen activities and games to help families play and learn together at home;
  • Noggin shorts on the Nick Jr. channel that provide learning moments for preschoolers in the areas of wellness, social and emotional development, science, math, and literacy;
  • and NickHelps.com, a central online destination that will aggregate Nick’s content and provide links to external resources for kids and families;

#KidsTogether will roll out domestically today across Nickelodeon’s portfolio of platforms and then extend to Nick’s international markets, as well.


Nickelodeon’s #KidsTogether initiative is part of ViacomCBS and Ad Council’s recently announced #AloneTogether, a national social- and talent-led campaign that educates audiences on the importance of social distancing and drives unity through entertainment.

For those who are worried about the spread of the coronavirus, the CDC offers a litany of tips, including covering coughs and sneezes, avoiding large gatherings or close contact with people who are sick, and washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Kidcasters up programming to capture at-home kids

A snapshot of how broadcasters and SVODs like Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Amazon are pivoting to reach a captive audience.

Linear broadcasters around the world are upping their educational content offerings to engage the many kids suddenly out of school and with a lot more free time at home. UNESCO estimates that more than 1.2 billion kids are out of school, which has created a sudden demand for content, especially educational content, that broadcasters are rushing to fill.

Amazon has made its catalogue of more than 40 kids shows free for the first time (previously you needed to be a Prime subscriber to access), including its original series Just Add Magic, Lost in Oz and Jessy & Nessy. Acquired shows such as Odd Squad, Caillou and Dinosaur Train are also among the free offering. Beyond Amazon Video proper, the conglom also curated more than 80 family movies that are available for free—with ads—from its subsidiary IMDb TV, including Shrek Forever After, Stuart Little and Muppets from Space. These moves to engage kids comes after Amazon pulled back from commissioning original content for them last year, instead shifting to focus on the family co-viewing and young adult audiences, with renewals for its kids slate made on a case-by-case basis.

And while streamers have seen an uptick in traffic, linear channels are also seeing a rise in audiences. Total day viewing on Cartoon Network was up 58% last week compared to the week before according to Digiday, Disney Channel is up 43%; WarnerMedia’s Boomerang rose 31% and Nickelodeon saw a 25% increase in viewers.

To engage this increasingly captive viewership, Nickelodeon has launched its preschool SVOD Noggin on Apple TV in more than 25 territories, including the US, UK, Germany and France. Growing the SVOD’s reach, new Noggin users will get a free seven day trial to the service. Through Noggin, subscribers can watch and download Nick series, including Paw Patrol, Dora the Explorer and Shimmer and Shine.

In addition, the kidsnet has launched the new #KidsTogether initiative to give children tips on how to stay healthy and active. The kidsnet is rolling out short-form digital and linear content featuring the network’s brands teaching kids about social distancing and proper hand washing techniques. It’s also producing printable activity sheets to help kids learn and play, as well as Nick-branded interstitials made in partnership with GoNoodle, which encourage kids to be active at home. Meanwhile, short educational videos teaching math, literacy and science from its preschool SVOD Noggin will air on Nick Jr., while the website NickHelps.com will aggregate Nick’s content and provide links to external resources for kids and families.

Meanwhile, Cartoon Network has launched PSAs (pictured) on-air, on its app, social media accounts and YouTube channel worldwide, which are focused on good hygiene practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The videos features characters from its shows, including Teen Titans Go! and Steven Universe.

Pubcaster France TV is upping its educational content for kids to support families staying at home. Its France 2, France 4 and France 5 channels, and its VOD platform France.tv will air the 52-minute educational program La Maison Lumni daily. Co-produced by France’s Ministry of National Education, the show follows educator Alex Goude who breaks down the essential concepts that kids eight to 12 need to know. France 4 is also modifying its programming to broadcast live courses given by teachers for preschoolers, high school and also college students throughout the day.

Canadian pubcaster TVO is launching a new Learn at Home initiative to provide access to learning tools for preschoolers and kids up to 12-years-old. First up is TVO Mathify, a platform for one-on-one online math tutoring with Ontario teachers aimed at kids six to 10. Tutors are available for students until the school closures end. TVO is also releasing more than 65 free online STEM-focused games targeted at kids zero to six; and it is adding the hour-long educational program The Power Hour of Learning to its broadcast schedule everyday. On the digital side it’s releasing three new subject-specific educational channels, that cover math, science and technology and language for kids five to eight.

In Spain, pay TV platform Movistar+ is capitalizing on the school closures in the country by adding kids channels Disney Jr., Disney XD, Disney Channel, Nick Jr., Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Panda and Baby TV to its offerings. The platform reached all-time high viewing numbers on March 14 and 15, with consumption growing 47% compared to the week before, according to the company. There was also a 16% increase in kids content consumption and the platform’s users also spent more than 42 million hours on the platform each day, the highest amount it has ever recorded.

Pubcasters worldwide are also playing a part in filling the sudden content gap and educating kids, with CBC (Canada), RTS (Switzerland), Rai (Italy), NHK (Japan) PBS KIDS (US) and BBC (UK) launching new content to curb anxiety, entertain and inform kids and families.

YTV Canada Airing 'Rise of the TMNT' Series Finale

YTV has announced on its official website, ytv.com that the Canadian children's channel is airing the series finale of Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The news confirms rumors that the series, Nickelodeon's current iteration for the iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be coming to an end.


The promo on the YTV website mentions that the series finale would be airing on "Sunday at 7pm E/P!", however, the YTV schedule doesn't have it listed for either Sunday, March 29 or Sunday, March 23.

The news follows speculation that Nickelodeon is set to announce a new TMNT series later this year.

Nickelodeon is also currently in production of a new Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated movie for Netflix.

The news also follows Nickelodeon pulling Rise of the TMNTfrom the schedules of many Nickelodeon channels globally last month.

Just before the pulling of Rise of the TMNT from schedules, Nick USA pushed new episodes to Nicktoons, which is unfortunately never a good sign for a show.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reimagines the characters in a fresh new way, featuring jagged-shelled Raphael as a snapping turtle, wielding twin tonfas as his weapons; Leonardo as a red-eared slider, using an ōdachi sword; Donatello as a soft-shell turtle, sporting a tech-bo staff; and Michelangelo as a box turtle, arming himself with a kusari-fundo. Along for the adventure is the Turtles’ most trusted ally, April O’Neil, a street savvy native New Yorker and Splinter, father figure and sensei to the Turtles.

The series stars the voice talent of Omar Miller (Ballers) as Raphael, Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as Leonardo, Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as Donatello, Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re The Worst) as Michelangelo, Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) as April O’Neil and Eric Bauza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Splinter. WWE Superstar John Cena (Playing with Fire, The Substitute, Kids' Choice Awards, ) lends his voice as villain, Baron Draxum, an alchemist warrior mutant who seeks to turn all of humanity into mutants.

Jerry Trainor Begs Nickelodeon to Stream ‘iCarly’ for Free During Coronavirus

If you’re looking for something to binge-watch while stuck inside during the current coronavirus pandemic, you’re not the only one! That’s right, former Nickelodeon star Jerry Trainor wants to take a walk down memory lane and rewatch iCarly just like us! On Sunday, March 22, the 43-year-old actor — known for his hilarious and iconic role as Spencer — took to Twitter and begged the network to stream the fan-favorite show for free while people are stuck in self-quarantine.


“There’s not a lot that families can all watch together. It’d be great if you made iCarly available to stream somewhere during this time,” he posted.


For those who missed it, the World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that over 340,000 people have contracted virus so far, resulting in more than 15,000 deaths. Medical professionals have called for “social distancing” to prevent further spreading of the illness, which is defined as “trying to keep yourself away from other people, especially large crowds.” Because of this many events, concerts and festivals have been canceled or postponed, including SlimeFest, Kids' Choice Awards 2020, The SpongeBob Musical tour, JoJo Siwa D.R.E.A.M. The Tour, all Broadway plays and sports games. People have been asked to avoid public spaces and quarantine themselves during this time.

Naturally, fans right on board with the epic idea to stream the throwback show.

“Jerry leading the ‘put iCarly on Netflix’ revolution… Truly a king,” one person tweeted.

Many of his follower’s tagged Netflix in the tweet’s replies in hopes of getting the streaming service’s attention. From the look of it, the ball is now in Nickelodeon and Netflix’s court. Only time will tell if fans will be able to stream the show sometime soon.

As fans know, aside from Jerry, the show starred Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress, and it aired from September 2007 until it ended in November 2012. The show followed the life of web star Carly, her best friends Sam and Freddie and her crazy brother Spencer. Throughout its seven seasons, fans saw plenty of romantic drama between the three best friends, a slew of incredible guest stars, including First Lady Michelle Obama and One Direction, and even a crossover with Victorious, as well as a spin-off with Sam and Cat (Ariana Grande) from Victorious!

TeenNick Israel (יִשְׂרָאֵל) presents The Corona Greenhouse (החממה נגד הקורונה), a brand new mini-series inspired by Nickelodeon Israel's hit series The Greenhouse (החממה/Ha-Hamama), the original Israeli series of which the popular Netflix series Greenhouse Academy is based on, and read by stars of the series, including Daniel Litman, who played Daniel Goren on the show. The new The Greenhouse miniseries is written by Giora Chamizer, the creator of The Greenhouse, and Noa Pnini, a writer on the original series.

ViacomCBS Networks International Benelux channels today announced the launch of localised #AloneTogether, #KidsTogether and #SamenSterk social and talent-driven campaigns in the Netherlands to complement ViacomCBS and Nickelodeon's global #AloneTogether and #KidsTogether campaigns, which aim to draw audience's attention to the importance of social distancing as well as promotes unity through entertainment.

ViacomCBS zenders richten zich tot meerdere doelgroepen om de social distancing aan te moedigen en de verspreiding van Covid-19 te beperken.

ViacomCBS zenders MTV, Comedy Central en Spike lanceren vandaag #AloneTogether, een wereldwijde sociale en talentgestuurde campagne die de doelgroep wijst op het belang van social distancing en op deze manier eenheid stimuleert door middel van amusement. ViacomCBS wil met dit initiatief een steentje bijdragen aan de bewustwording rondom onze mogelijkheden om de verspreiding van covid-19 te beperken.

De komende weken publiceren de verschillende ViacomCBS-merken video’s, memes en persoonlijke oproepen die bijdragen aan deze bewustwording, gericht op de doelgroep van de specifieke merken.

MTV, Comedy Central en Spike ontwikkelen de #AloneTogether- content om collectief te delen met hun fans op social media, en communiceren de volksgezondheids boodschap via hun verschillende kanalen.

Nickelodeon Nederland lanceert #KidsTogether en #SamenSterk, een multiplatform initiatief waarbij de meest populaire Nickelodeon personages en talenten worden ingezet om gezinnen en kinderen te informeren over hoe zij gezond kunnen blijven en welke activiteiten thuis mogelijk zijn tijdens de Covid-19 uitbraak.
