Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland), Switzerland (Schweiz) and Austria (Österreich) has announced that they're bringing
Nickelodeon Kids‘ Choice Awards: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz, Nickelodeon GSA's localised version of
Nickelodeon's 2020 Kids' Choice Awards to the stars and kids at home, as well as the launch of #ZusammenZuhause, a multiplatform prosocial initiative to help combat coronavirus!
Originally planned to
take place at Europa-Park, Germany's largest amusement park in April 2019,
Nickelodeon Kids‘ Choice Awards: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz had to be postponed due to the global COVID-19 (aka coronavirus) outbreak.
Nickelodeon will now be bringing viewers
KCAs 2020: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz – Zusammen Zuhause, a creative 'home-based' awards ceremony, airing on Easter Sunday, 12th April 2020.
Between Tuesday 24th March - Saturday 11th April 2020, Lisa & Lena, Freshtorge and Julia Beautx, among many other kid-favourite celebrities, will be getting kids at home in the mood for this year's special KCA awards ceremony. Rapper and musician Fargo ("
Nick, wenn du") and the cast of Nickelodeon's locally produced musical series
Spotlight will be presenting the new
Spotlight Soundtrack, available from Edel Kids on all popular streaming and download platforms from Friday 3rd April 2020, and will be encouraging fans to sing and dance along.
The winners of
Nickelodeon Kids‘ Choice Awards 2020: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz orange blimps, determined by online voting at
kca.nick.de, will be announced on Sunday, 12th April 2020. Nickelodeon has come up with a special
KCA show, with presenters Lisa & Lena and Jan Köppen (
Ninja Warrior Germany), including the awards ceremony and live performances via video transmission from the living rooms of the stars. Despite staying at home, fans can bring their favourite stars into their living rooms and celebrate the awards ceremony together at home. In cooperation with the artists there will also be a
Nick All Stars KCA-Song.

Kids' Choice Awards. The same goes for all artists and nominees. We are making the best of the situation and celebrating #ZusammenZuhause," said Steffen Kottkamp, Brand Director Kids & Family at ViacomCBS Networks GSA. "In doing so, we are fulfilling the wish of Nick fans and showing that life goes on despite the difficult situation."
Nickelodeon and the Nick linear television channel are also starting a special campaign called Zusammen Zuhause (Together at Home) with the cast of
Spotlight. Beginning next week, the cast of
Spotlight will be inviting fans and viewers to join them on Nickelodeon's social media channels throughout the day, just like a timetable at the Berlin School of Arts, where
Spotlight is set. Activities will include learning choreography, practising songs to funny DIY prank ideas and delicious lunchtime recipes - the Spotlighters are also there for their fans at home.
#ZusammenZuhause starts next week on Nick and the network's social media channels: on the Nickelodeon Deutschland
YouTube channel and
Instagram. #ZusammenZuhause
complements #KidsTogether, Nickelodeon's global multiplatform prosocial initiative to help kids and families stay informed and engaged with activities which aims to educate, raise awareness and broadcast positive messages to all children around the world through entertainment.
A rescheduled date for the U.S.-global version of
Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2020, which was set to be held on Sunday 22nd March 2020 at the Forum in Inglewood, California, has yet to be announced after the ceremony was also postponed due to the COVID-19 (aka coronavirus) pandemic.

Nickelodeon bringt die für den 12. April 2020 geplanten Kids‘ Choice Awards 2020: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz nun zu den Stars der Kinder und Jugendlichen nach Hause! Nachdem die große Show im Europa-Park aufgrund aktueller Sicherheitsvorkehrungen abgesagt wurde, gehen die KCAs in diesem Jahr mit der beliebten Countdown-Show und einer kreativen Preisverleihung per Home Videos On Air an den Start: KCAs 2020: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz – Zusammen Zuhause.
Vom 24. März bis 11. April stimmen unter anderem Lisa & Lena, Freshtorge und Julia Beautx die Kids und Jugendlichen zuhause auf die besonderen KCAs dieses Jahr ein. Rapper und Musiker Fargo und der Spotlight-Cast präsentieren außerdem den neuen Spotlight Soundtrack, der ab 03. April 2020 bei Edel Kids erscheint, auf allen gängigen Streaming- und Downloadplattformen bereitsteht und die jungen Fans zum Mitsingen und –tanzen animiert.
Am 12. April werden die Gewinner des Online-Votings verkündet. Nickelodeon hat sich dafür eine besondere KCA-Show mit den Moderatoren Lisa & Lena und Jan Köppen sowie einer Preisvergabe und Performances per Videoübertragung aus den Wohnzimmern der Stars überlegt. Trotz Daheimbleibens können Fans ihre Lieblingsstars somit zu sich ins Wohnzimmer holen und die Preisverleihung zusammen zuhause feiern. In Kooperation mit den Künstlern wird es zudem einen Nick All Stars KCA-Song geben.
