Nickelodeon Denmark Launches 'Nick Stories', A New Subscription-Based Digital Reading Service for Kids

Nickelodeon Denmark (Danmark) has launched "Nick Stories", a brand-new subscription-based digital reading service that invites kids into the adventurous world of books!


"Nick Stories" boasts a wide selection of children's eBooks featuring stories inspired by hit Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. properties, such as SpongeBob SquarePants (SvampeBob Firkant), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, PAW Patrol, Dora the Explorer (Dora Udforskeren), Dora and Friends: Into the City (Dora og Venner), Blaze and the Monster Machines (Blaze og Monstermaskinerne), Rusty Rivets, Nella the Princess Knight (Ridderprinsessen Nella), Shimmer and Shine (Shimmer og Shine), Blue's Clues and Bubble Guppies, as well as acquired properties, including Thomas & Friends and Bob the Builder. The stories can be read as an e-Book, or listened to as an audiobook. The service is targeted towards kids aged 1-10. Each book automatically scrolls so that the child can easily follow the story. Nickelodeon will add new book titles to the service each week. Audio books on the service can be paused if desired, and resumed at a later date.

"Nick Stories" is available as an app for Apple and Android smartphones and tablets via the Apple iTunes App Store and Google Play. The service costs 39 kr. a month, which gives users unlimited access to the best children's books and hours of quality entertainment which parents and children can safely explore, read and listen to as much as you want. The service comes with a 14 day free trial.

To subscribe to "Nick Stories", parents must create an account online at www.nickstories.dk or through the app. Each profile allows up to five kids to each have their own profile on the app, with the option to add additional profiles by contacting Nickelodeon through the website. Parents can pay to use "Nick Stories" via a credit card or through their iTunes or Google Play account.


Nickelodeon has launched "Nick Stories" just in time for the school holidays, and aims to keep kids entertained all through summer. Nickelodeon keeps a sharp eye on what children perceive to be good stories, therefore, the quality of the books on offer is extremely important at "Nick Stories".

Nickelodeon have made "Nick Stories" as user-friendly as possible. That's why "Nick Stories" has many different features built in:

- Offline Use: The books can be experienced without an internet connection. To download a book, press the download button in the book player.

- Favorite Function: So users can easily find their favorite books (the star icon at the bottom).

- Bookmark Function: So users can quickly find where they previously left a story (the bookmark icon at the bottom).

- Use Up to 5 "Units" at Once: Users can simply log in with the same user on the different devices.

- Pausing: If you pause your book, "Nick Stories" will remember where you left off so you can resume the story instantly!

- One Time Log In: "Nick Stories" remembers users' details, so you only have to log in once!

- Worldwide: "Nick Stories" works all over the world. Simply have internet access or make sure your books are downloaded from home and on the right device.

Nickelodeon Poland Premieres '44 Cats' and 'RBUK'

Nickelodeon Poland (Polska) premiered the brand-new CG-animated preschool series 44 Cats on Monday 1st July 2019 at 9:00! Created and directed by Iginio Straffi, the founder of Italian content powerhouse Rainbow Group, the makers of Winx Club and Regal Academy, and produced by Rainbow in collaboration with Antoniano Bologna and Rai Ragazzi, following launch, new episodes of 44 Cats continue to air regularly weekdays at 9:00am on Nickelodeon Polska. The series is locally titled 44 Kotów in Poland.


Set in the world of animals, 44 Cats (52 eps x c. 13') follows the daily adventures of Lampo, Milady, Pilou, and Meatball – four adorable kittens who are part of a music band named The Buffycats.

The protagonists live and play in the Clubhouse, a garage beside old Granny Pina’s house. Their adventures explore the themes of friendship and altruism: the four cats love helping others and always find creative solutions to everyday hitches and help other cats in need. The series promotes positive attitudes and conveys educational messages dealing with important themes such as tolerance, diversity and solidarity in a funny way.



This eagerly anticipated show made its world debut on Rai Yoyo in Italy on Monday 12th November 2018. Nickelodeon International acquired the broadcast rights to the series in May 2018, and will roll the animated series out on Nickelodeon channels and branded blocks around the world, excluding Latin America, throughout 2019.

44 Cats is inspired by the very popular Italian kids song "44 Gatti", which, in 1968, won the 10th edition of the Zecchino d'Oro and has since entered the collective imagination of Italians.

44 Cats is the first Rainbow Group production jointly developed with Bardel Entertainment, the Canadian animation studio it acquired in 2015, and jointly produced in collaboration with Antoniano Bologna and Rai Ragazzi, and combines great music and edutainment with high quality animation. The series also marks Rainbow’s (Winx Club, Regal Academy, Club 57, Mia and me, Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends) inaugural foray into preschool programming.

Rainbow inked a licensing deal for 44 Cats with Thai Group’s Hong Kong-based company, Toy Plus in August 2018. Under the terms of the agreement, Toy Plus will develop a variety of products including interactive plush, figurines, play sets, musical toys and more based on the music, creative play patterns and collectability featured in the series. The line of merchandise debuted in Hong Kong in October, and is slated to become available for purchase around the world in fall 2019. Media Service Zawada represents the property in Poland.

Following its launch on Nickelodeon Polska, 44 Kotów will also air on TVP ABC from September 2019.

Rainbow has also secured a new licensing deal for 44 Cats with holistic lifestyle company Artsana Group. Under the agreement, the company will develop a range of licensed 44 Cats-themed infant educational toys for infants and a nursing line under its Chicco brand, the largest infant brand in Europe. The deal also includes apparel and accessories collections by Prenatal and Chicco. Products are expected to hit retail shelves later this year and will be supported by a dedicated, high-level marketing campaign delivered jointly by Rainbow and Artsana Group, which is also based in Italy.

Additionally, Rainbow has tapped The Joester Loria Group (JLG) to represent the 44 Cats animated series in the U.S., and Bandai America has been appointed by master toy partner Toy Plus to distribute their full range of 44 Cats toys in the U.S., Canada and Australia markets. A collection including figurines, play sets, plush, and musical toys will debut at retailers early next year. Simba Dickie Group’s is the exclusive distributor for Europe and the Middle East.

44 Gatti become the most watched Italian-produced cartoon of 2018 when it debuted on Rai Yoyo on Monday 12th November 2018, recording record ratings of 527,000 viewers and a 2.71% audience share, helping Rai Yoyo to continue to be the most watched children's channel in Italy! Since its debut, 44 Gatti has also held the record for the highest viewing share amongst children aged 4-7 years, reaching 16% and an average audience of 350,000 viewers in the 19.15 timeslot.

'The Loud House' Receives Nomination in 34th Annual Imagen Awards

The Imagen Foundation has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon's hit animated series The Loud House has received a nomination in the 34th Annual Imagen Awards, which celebrate positive portrayal and creative excellence of Latinos and Latino cultures in TV and film!


The Loud House, which features a large Latino family, the Casagrandes, who are friends with the main characters of the show, has been nominated for the "Best Children’s Programming" award in the 2019 Imagen Awards. Nickelodeon announced a animated Loud House spin-off called The Casagrandes last year, which will follow Ronnie Anne and her brother Bobby Santiago as they adjust to their new life in Great Lakes City, where they now live with their big, loving and chaotic multi-generational family, the Casagrandes. In the series, Ronnie Anne’s new life promises to be an adventure, especially now that she lives under one roof with her grandparents, aunt, uncle, cousins, and a sass-talking parrot. As if that weren’t enough excitement, she lives over the family-run Mercado, which is a gathering place for everyone in the neighborhood.

Peppa Pig Celebrates the Spirit of the Cricket World Cup with #PeppaPlaysCricket Multimedia Campaign

MUMBAI: Hit kids TV property Peppa Pig is joining families across India this summer to celebrate the ICC Cricket World Cup with a two-month long campaign titled #PeppaPlaysCricket. The campaign spans over retail, broadcast and promotional activities in association with Viacom18 Consumer Products, Voot Kids, Nick Jr. India, Hamleys, Penguin Random House, leading child rights Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Save the Children and the UK Government.


The promotion aims to get children interested in the sport to unlock the potential of young cricketers across the country. Celebrations were kick-started with retail promotions at Hamleys toy stores across Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Pune, which featured Peppa Pig in cricket-themed artwork displayed throughout the store on Point of Sale (POS). It also saw an exclusive gift with purchase offer giving 12 lucky kids the chance to appear in a cricket-themed video shoot with Peppa and George, and social media promotions attracting shoppers into the stores. Exclusive Peppa Pig merchandise, licensed by Viacom18 Consumer Products, is now available at Hamleys Stores across these cities which includes plush toys, activity sets and much more.

To amplify the promotion, broadcast partner Nick Jr. is creating a special cricket-themed video featuring Soha Ali Khan, granddaughter of Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi and daughter of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, former Captains of the Indian Cricket Team, who appears alongside Peppa and George to offer kids some fun tips and advice on sportsmanship and teamwork.


Entertainment One (eOne) is also building on its global charity partnership with Save the Children and invited children from Team India North, who represented India at the inaugural Street Child Cricket World Cup 2019 - the first Cricket World Cup for street-connected children which took place at Lord's London, to be a part of the campaign.

Peppa Pig has been receiving a phenomenal response from children in India. Additionally, the UK Government is endorsing this campaign through ‘Creativity is Great’, where through their social media will promote #LetsGoPlayCricket.

The campaign will culminate with an event at the Oberoi Mall in Mumbai on Sunday 7th July 2019 where kids and their families will get a chance to indulge in some fun in Peppa Pig themed activities including a meet and greet with Peppa and George, and a storytelling session on the book "Peppa Plays Cricket" by Penguin Random House. This finale event will be graced by Indian Cricketer and Captain of Indian Women’s Cricket Team, Mithali Raj along with Team India North, where they will be seen interacting with Peppa, George, and all the kids present.

BURBANK, Calif.--Nickelodeon and CBS Television Studios announced the greenlight of a new animated “Star Trek” series to be developed by Emmy Award winners Kevin and Dan Hageman (“Trollhunters” and “Ninjago”) and overseen for Nickelodeon by Ramsey Naito, EVP, Animation Production and Development, Nickelodeon.

Debuting exclusively on Nickelodeon, the series expands the “Star Trek” universe for a new generation of fans. The new original CG-animated series follows a group of lawless teens who discover a derelict Starfleet ship and use it to search for adventure, meaning and salvation.

The series will be from CBS’ Eye Animation Productions, CBS Television Studios’ new animation arm; Secret Hideout; and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Katie Krentz, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth will serve as executive producers alongside Kevin and Dan Hageman. Aaron Baiers will serve as a co-executive producer.

“‘Star Trek’s’ mission is to inspire generations of dreamers to build a brighter future,” said Alex Kurtzman. “Dan and Kevin have crafted a story that honors its exploratory spirit in a way that’s never been done before, while the Nickelodeon team blew us away with their excitement at bringing ‘Trek’ to a younger generation around the world.”

“‘Star Trek,’ Nickelodeon, and the state of animation are doing incredibly ambitious things as of late. We couldn’t be more excited to jump aboard," said Dan and Kevin Hageman.


“Partnering with CBS Television Studios and the creative masterminds behind the ‘Star Trek’ franchise is an incredible opportunity and allows our audience to discover rich characters and new stories,” said Naito. “‘Star Trek’ is a franchise loved by generations of fans around the globe, and adding Nickelodeon as home to the next animated series is a perfect fit.”

The animated series is the newest addition to the expanding “Star Trek” television universe. It joins STAR TREK: DISCOVERY and STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS, a series of short stories tied to DISCOVERY; the new untitled “Star Trek” series featuring Sir Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard; STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS from Mike McMahan (“Rick and Morty”), an animated series targeted at mature audiences; and a new “Star Trek” project based on “Section 31,” which is in development with Michelle Yeoh attached to star. All these projects, except the new Nickelodeon edition, are on the CBS streaming platform CBS All Access in the U.S.

Emmy Award-winning brothers Kevin and Dan Hageman have written and produced some of the biggest animated franchises in film and television. They served as co-executive producers on the Emmy Award-winning series “Trollhunters,” co-created the hit “The LEGO Movie,” wrote and executive produced “LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu” and developed the theatrical “The Lego Ninjago Movie.” Additional credits include “Hotel Transylvania” (story creators) and “The Croods 2” (writers), along with the upcoming live-action feature “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” (writers).

The new “Star Trek” series is the third animated series from CBS Television Studios, following STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS for CBS All Access and OUR CARTOON PRESIDENT for SHOWTIME.

Claudia Spinelli, VP Animation Development, Nickelodeon, is the executive in charge of the new animated “Star Trek” series for Nickelodeon.

Update (5/10): In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Alex Kurtzman, who is serving as the executive producer of Nickelodeon's new Star Trek series, promised it is nothing like the 1970s Star Trek cartoon, adding: “I can’t reveal details on that one, but it’s something that has never been done before in ‘Star Trek.’”

Veronica Hart Will Head the New Business Unit

May 6, 2019 - CBS Television Studios has created a global franchise group that will manage and maximize the expansion of the "Star Trek" brand beyond the traditional boundaries of linear broadcasting and streaming. This new business unit reports to David Stapf, President of CBS Television Studios.

Leading the new team is Veronica Hart, Executive Vice President, "Star Trek" Global Franchise Management, who will manage the "Star Trek" global brand strategy to support the content development plans being developed within CBS and under the stewardship of Alex Kurtzman.

The unit's goal is to invigorate and broaden the "Star Trek" fan community through additional branding opportunities, such as podcasts, a reinvigorated StarTrek.com and new digital spaces, consumer products and gaming, as well as live experiential events and global attractions. These endeavors to further grow the brand are designed to complement the Studio's expansion of the "Star Trek" universe, which now includes two live-action series, two animated projects and multiple "shorts."

The growing "Star Trek" universe for television includes a new animated "Trek" series from writers Kevin and Dan Hageman for Nickelodeon; STAR TREK: DISCOVERY and STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS, a series of short stories tied to DISCOVERY and the overall "Star Trek" universe; the new untitled "Star Trek" series featuring Sir Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard; STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS from Mike McMahan ("Rick and Morty"), an animated series targeted at mature audiences; and a new "Star Trek" project based on "Section 31," which is in development with Michelle Yeoh attached to star. With the exception of the new Nickelodeon edition, these series are presented on CBS' streaming service, CBS All Access, in the U.S.

In addition to Hart, the franchise team includes: John Van Citters, VP, "Star Trek" Brand Development, who will work within CBS and across the industry as brand experts while leading the implementation of initiatives and programs; Yasmin Elachi, Director of "Star Trek" Content, in charge of creating, relaunching and maintaining the new StarTrek.com along with overseeing all aspects of "Star Trek" social media in order to present a cohesive online brand; and Gabrielle Oliff, Director of Global Franchise Management Operations, who will focus on executing franchise initiatives and managing the review analytics and preparing presentations for cross-company communication. All are incredibly knowledgeable about the "Star Trek" universe, including legacy, current and future iterations of the series.

Update (5/23) - In an interview TheHDRoom, the Hageman Brothers revealed how they came to be involved with Nickelodeon's new Star Trek project!:

Your Nickelodeon Star Trek animated project is a return to your roots in a sense. Was this something that fell in your lap or did you actively seek the job out?

They pursued us, and we’re glad they did, because it’s quickly turning into our favorite project.

How would you compare the target age and tone of the Star Trek project to Ninjago, or is it still to early to share that information?

Our aim for all of our projects is that this is a show that the whole family can enjoy.

Star Trek was a massively passionate fan base like Ninjago. You must feel well-equipped to accept any praise or criticism with Star Trek from your Ninjago days experience.

Haha, yes. That thought did come across our minds.

Will you continue to regularly interact with Star Trek fans on social media like you have with Ninjago fans over the years?

We love interacting with fans. Star Trek is a little more or a guarded IP, so we’ll have to police ourselves more. Tommy [Andreasen] wouldn’t last a day keeping all those secrets.

Update (6/18) - Alex Kurtzman, the co-creator of Star Trek: Discovery, has given fans an update about Nickelodeon's currently untitled upcoming Star Trek series during the latest episode of Deadline's Crew Call podcast, including that the show has just completed its first storyboards!

During the interview, Kurtzman said: "I won’t announce the name of the Nickelodeon show, but that’s a really different show [from Lower Decks].

That’s a show that’s for kids, younger. Full CG animation. It’s going to be incredibly cinematic. We just started seeing [story]boards this week. It looks like, wow. It’s on par with Love, Death, and Robots in terms of beauty and lighting and cinema, so it’s a a really different feel, and Nickelodeon has been wildly supportive and I think very excited to bring a new energy to TV, you know, in animation."

Kurtzman also revealed that the new show is targeting a much younger age bracket, which he says you have Star Wars to thank for. In general, audiences for Star Trek develop as young as 9-12 years of age, but the Star Wars franchise is accessible to much younger viewers. Kurtzman said that at age four, he could picture himself "staring up at the twin suns of Tattooine" and now he wants to make Star Trek palatable for younger generations.

Update - 6/21: One question that a number of fans have been wondering is if the show will feature familiar Star Trek voices. Kurtzman makes it very clear that unlike Star Trek: The Animated Series which saw most of the original crew reprise their roles. These two animated shows are going in a different direction. But he does leave a bit of hope out there.

“It’s mostly new. There may be some that you know, but it’s mostly new.

Animation is in an incredible, glorious renaissance right now. Between [Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse] which just blew everything open and everything Pixar’s been doing for so very long, I think what I’m excited about in the world of animation is to try all these different things to see what feels ‘Trek.’”

Star Trek Head Thinks Franchise Needs to Try to Court Younger Fans

With Star Trek: Discovery several seasons in and a slew of other television projects in the works, the Star Trek franchise is on the cusp of a pretty interesting era. According to Alex Kurtzman, who is currently overseeing the franchise, the goal is to attract some younger fans to boldly go where no one has gone before. In a recent interview with Deadline's Crew Call podcast, Kurtzman spoke about his five-to-ten year plan for Trek, and how getting younger viewers could be a part of that.

"I went to CBS and I said, 'I think you have a universe here that is very under-utilized, and a fan base that I think is hungry for a lot more.'" Kurtzman revealed. "And I walked them through the plan of what I saw for the next five to ten years of Trek. Part of it was, kind of, premised on the idea that it was going to take time. What I said was, “Don’t expect us to put the first thing out, and suddenly, you know, you’re have 100 million new fans. That’s not gonna happen.” ‘Trek’ has been around for too long for that to happen — but but what we do have is new generations, and what I can tell you is that ‘Trek,’ in general, finds people when they’re about between nine and twelve."

"It’s never reached younger than that; it’s never tried to, and to me that’s a hugely missed opportunity, especially because what you’re really trying to do is influence hearts and minds with really positive messages — messages about who we can be as a species and as people and what our future is." Kurtzman added. "So why not start young, you know? And not for a cynical reason. Not because you know, hey, let some more toys, but because if you really want Star Trek to reach people, then you’ve got to start young."

"And this is where I guess the ‘Star Wars’ influence on me really mattered, because as a kid at four years old, I could imagine myself starting up with a twin suns of Tattooine and wondering what my life was." Kurtzman continued. "‘Trek’ didn’t give me that same thing — it gave me Wesley Crusher, it gave me different characters, but again, those are older characters. But we are definitely seeing just metric proof that the fan base is growing, and it’s growing younger — and yet, we’re keeping our current fans, and that’s great."

With an all-ages Trek animated series in the works at Nickelodeon, it will certainly be interesting to see if and how the franchise gets embraced by a new crop of fans.

Nico Tortorella to Voice Character on Nickelodeon's New Preschool Series 'Made by Maddie'

Actor Nico Tortorella (Younger) has announced the exciting news in an interview with Teen Vogue that he is set to lend his voice to a character in Nickelodeon's upcoming brand-new animated series Made by Maddie!

"There are some TV projects in the works. There's some theater in the works," Tortorella told Teen Vogue. "I'm on a Nickelodeon cartoon that's coming out next year, which I'm really excited about. I'm on a cartoon right now on Nickelodeon called Sunny Day and Sutton Foster and I did three episodes together. And from that, I booked this other Nickelodeon cartoon called Made by Maddie, which is for Nick Jr, so it's super young and the show's actually all about fashion in New York City. Voiceover work is such a joy and it's something I've always wanted to do."

Although currently unconfirmed, it sounds like Nickelodeon has renamed Fashion Ally to Made by Maddie. Announced at Nickelodeon Upfront 2018, Fashion Ally (working title) follows Ally, a little girl with big ideas and a passion for fashion. Ally is high up in the fashion world, as makes everything around her a bit brighter, bolder and more brilliant, one design fix at a time. Created by Silvergate Media’s Executive Vice President (EVP) of Creative Content, Paula Rosenthal (Nickelodeon's Sunny Day and Peter Rabbit) and commissioned by Nickelodeon, the series will be set in the heart of New York. Each episode will be 23-minutes long.

It was revealed earlier this year that Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger sister of global superstar Britney Spears who starred in hit Nickelodeon series All That and Zoey 101 will also be starring on Fashion Ally.

According to various search results, Made by Maddie is being produced by Silvergate Media. As both shows sound similar, it's more than likely Made by Maddie is the new name for Fashion Ally.

Michael G. Stern is serving as Head Writer on the series, with Hell’s Kitchen-based theatre and television writer Laura Kleinbaum (Bubble Guppies, Butterbean’s Cafe, Rusty Rivets, Zoofari) also working on the series.

According to IP Owner, Viacom has applied to register three patents for the property with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO): for the series, as well as for apparel and toys.

Slightly changing the subject, IP Owner also reveals that Nickelodeon has also registered the trademark for BOOKIDS by nickelodeon! Not much is currently known, however, it sounds like it'll be a mobile application which kids will be able to access electronic book content.


Nickelodeon is also in the midst of registering the trademark for the logo of "Sunny's Salon" for food inspired by Sunny Day!

Blue Zoo Opens New 2D Animation Studio in London; Commences Production on 'Pony'

Blue Zoo has announced the exciting news that the UK-based animation studio are opening a brand-new dedicated 2d animation studio to complement its existing cg animation studio, which has produced on-air presentation for Nick Jr. UK & Ireland, as well as series like Nick Jr.'s Digby Dragon and Olive the Ostrich, and shows such as Miffy’s Adventures Big and Small and Q Pootle 5.

Update (7/3/2019) - According to IP Owner, Nickelodeon may have changed the title of Pony to It's Pony!

The studio will be located across the street from Blue Zoo’s existing central London head office. Blue Zoo plans to have 60 people working in its 2d department. Combined with the current headcount of just under 200 people at its cg studio, this expansion makes Blue Zoo one of the largest independent studios operating in the U.K.

The studio aims to capitalize on the growing demand from broadcasters for a 2d technique, according to Blue Zoo co-founder Adam Shaw. “2D animation is making a big comeback and we’re seeing a greater demand for it more than ever, particularly for older kids.”

The division’s first project will be the previously announced 2d half-hour buddy comedy series Pony aimed at 8-10 year olds. Conceived by super-talent Ant Blades, the series follows the story of an average girl, Annie, her (almost) average family and her excitable, loveable pony who comes to live with them in their city apartment. Ant will be directing the 20 half-hour episodes, and the characters and stories are already coming to life in his unmistakable and charming animation style. Pony is based off a short of the same name from Nickelodeon’s 2015 International Animated Shorts Program.

“BZ is a great home for Annie and Pony and it’s incredibly exciting to see the show develop. There’s such a wealth of enthusiasm and talent surrounding the project it can only be fantastic,” said Ant Blades, the creator of Pony.

The studio will use a Toon Boom Harmony pipeline, and will focus on episodic service work as well as building its own IP catalog. Blue Zoo also hints that it would like to eventually combine its 2d and 3d pipelines to create hybrid shows.

Alexa and Carlos PenaVega Welcome New Baby Boy

One Hollywood household just got a little bigger.

On Tuesday, Nickelodeon stars Carlos PenaVega (Big Time Rush, The Loud House) and his wife, Alexa PenaVega (Spy Kids), revealed that their second child had arrived – and it's a boy!

"It’s OFFICIAL! We’re a family of 4!! #KingstonJamesPenaVega," he captioned a family selfie from the hospital in which he’s holding his newborn son beside his wife and their 2-year-old, Ocean King PenaVega.

Carlos' former Big Time Rush co-star and band mate James Maslow congratulated the couple, commenting on Instagram: "So crazy man - huge love to you and the big fam!!! ❤️" Nickelodeon also congratulated the couple!

The 29-year-old actor shared another precious pic in his Instagram Story showcasing their new bundle of joy in his lap as Carlos makes a face. He wrote alongside, "I am in love with this little dude!!"

Alexa also posted a photo showing baby Kingston James PenaVega wearing a ball cap while lying in the hospital. The post also revealed that he was born on June 30 and weighed 7 lbs and 15 oz.

In mid-January, the acting pair revealed that they were expecting another child by posting another family photo showcasing Alexa and Carlos proudly displaying a pregnancy test, which reads, "Pregnant."

"Holy Moly!!! Guys!!! We are having another baby!!!! Do we wake Ocean up and tell him??!!" Alexa wrote. "Beyond blessed and excited to continue growing this family!!! Get ready for a whole new set of adventures!!!"

Carlos, a former member of Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush, shared another pic of himself, his wife and the test, with the caption: "It’s HAPPENING... AGAIN! WE’RE HAVING ANOTHER BABY!!! 2019 another PenaVega is joining the family! This year we will officially be able to say we have 'kids'! Our minds are blown and we are beyond blessed and excited for our growing family!!! Let the journey begin!!!"

During a 2017 interview with ET, the pair opened up about how they've found a "deeper connection" since welcoming their first son.

"He’s really just become a part of what we’ve always done and not much has changed there," Alexa said. "You just get a lot less sleep. But I just feel so much more love now. I’ve become so much more emotional about things. I have a deeper connection with Carlos just because of Ocean."

"I appreciate my parents a lot more too," Carlos revealed. "Because you see how much time and effort you have to put into this new human, and then they're off at 20, doing their own things, and you're like, 'Make good decisions!'"

Both Carlos and Alexa will be lending their voices to Nickelodeon's upcoming The Loud House spin-off, The Casagrandes, slated to premiere this October on Nick, which will see Carlos reprising his role of Bobby from the The Loud House.

Очаровательные и храбрые котята — Лампо, Миледи, Пилу и Пончик возвращаются на Nickelodeon c новыми сериями с 1 июля! Замурррчательное шоу — «44 котёнка» — по будням в 8:25 МСК.

А по субботам тебя будут веселить не менее очаровательные, такие же пушистые создания — «Элвиннн!!! и бурундуки», премьера 4-го сезона — весь июль в 8:45 МСК. Эти ребята точно помогут тебе проснуться пораньше субботним утром :)

Кавабанга! Новые серии «Эволюции Черепашек-ниндзя» продолжат выходить по воскресеньям в 10:50 МСК. Ты наконец-то увидишь те самые новые способности, новое оружие и новых злодеев! Не пропусти :)

И конечно, Фелисити! Признавайся, ты ведь уже без ума от этой розовой кошки и её друзей? Начнём показывать новые серии с 21 июня, по воскресеньям. Всё, как и раньше — «Радужно-бабочково-единорожная кошка» в 11:40 МСК.
