Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2019 is very nearly here!

KCA 2019 will be a slime-filled extravaganza! Hosted by music mogul DJ Khaled, tonight's show will feature multiplatinum hip-hop trio Migos performing a medley of their hits; a performance from the cast of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical; and a special appearance by Grammy Award-winning record producer and songwriter DJ Mustard, who will join Migos on the stage!

The evening will feature slime-filled surprises and appearances from today’s most popular stars including: Ariana Grande, Adam Sandler, Chris Pratt, Jason Sudeikis, Noah Centineo, Lana Condor, Joey King, Liza Koshy, Paris Berelc, Caleb McLaughlin, Kiernan Shipka, Ally Brooke, Josh Peck, Lilly Singh and David Dobrik, along with cast members from Disney’s Aladdin (Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott) and Shazam! (Zachary Levi, Asher Angel and Jack Dylan Grazer).

These stars from the worlds of TV, music, film and social media will be joined by Nickelodeon talent JoJo Siwa, Jace Norman and Riele Downs (Henry Danger), Ryan of Ryan ToysReview (Ryan’s Mystery Playdate), Scarlet Spencer and Dallas Dupree Young (Cousins For Life), Owen Joyner, Daniella Perkins and Lilimar (Knight Squad), and Isabela Moner and Eugenio Derbez, will also be making a very special appearance to debut the first trailer for their upcoming movie, Dora and the Lost City of Gold!

The annual celebration of kids’ favorites across music, TV, movies and social media will air live on Saturday, March 23, at 8 p.m. (ET/Tape delayed for West Coast), from USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles on Nickelodeon USA and YTV Canada, and soon after on Nickelodeon channels worldwide.

BURBANK, Calif.–Feb. 14, 2019–Preschoolers will be playing and problem-solving along with their best friend Ryan in Nickelodeon’s brand-new live-action series, Ryan’s Mystery Playdate, starring the seven-year-old YouTube superstar of Ryan ToysReview. The news was announced today by Brian Robbins, President, Nickelodeon.

Ryan’s Mystery Playdate is created and produced by pocket.watch, the new studio creating global franchises from the YouTube stars and characters loved by Generation Alpha. The new series follows Ryan, his parents and animated friends Gus the Gummy Gator and Combo Panda as they work together to tackle a series of imaginative, physical challenges and unbox puzzles to reveal the identity of his mystery playdate. The 20-episode series will premiere in the U.S. later this year on Nickelodeon.


Said Robbins: “Ryan is a kid who happens to be one of YouTube’s towering giants, with millions of followers who are going to love seeing him and his family on Nickelodeon in a totally new and fun way. Unboxing is just the start of the new adventures fans can expect from Ryan’s Mystery Playdate on Nick, and we’re excited to be working with pocket.watch to bring this series to our audience.”

Update (24/3) - It looks like the premiere of Glitch Techs! Foxtel, Nickelodeon's Australian carrier, is reporting that Glitch Techs will premiere on Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand on Sunday 7th April 2019 at 8:00am (AEDT), and that episode one is titled "Age of Hinobi Pt.1"! I've attached a screenshot below (second image) of the listing.

Something Glitchy This Way Comes.. Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand will premiere Glitch Techs, Nickelodeon's brand-new animated adventure-comedy series that follows two newly recruited kids as they battle video game monsters that come to life in the real world, on Sunday 7th April 2019 at 7:00am (AEDT)! Following boot up, new episodes of Glitch Techs will continue to air Sundays at 7:00am (AEDT) on Nick AU/NZ. The news was first announced by New Zealand television provider SKY New Zealand.


This brand new animated series features High Five and Miko, two gamers who are recruited into the world of Glitch Techs: kids who battle the video game glitches that enter our world through faulty game consoles!

In the world of Glitch Techs, Hinobi is a huge gaming and tech company that makes massively popular video games consoles. What Hinobi customers do NOT know is that their games sometimes glitch and release dangerous video game creatures into the real world! That’s when the company send the Glitch Techs: a trained support team equipped with an arsenal of fantastic gaming gear designed to capture video game pests and out them back where they belong!

Once a glitch is returned, the Techs must remove any evidence it was there – including the memories of any witnesses! Not only do Glitch Techs fight for the safety of the city, they also work at Hinobi stores, helping customers with tech support and service needs.


Enter Miko and high Five – new recruits who fight glitches and reformat witnesses all before the store closes at 5pm. Talk about a crazy job!

Glitch Techs comes from Eric Robles (Fanboy & Chum Chum, The X's, Ni Hao, Kai-Lan) and Dan Milano (Greg the Bunny, Warren the Ape), both hailing from Nickelodeon's Artist Collective, an internal artist-led development program, and is produced at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, Calif. Nickelodeon has picked-up Glitch Techs for an initial 20-episode first season. A second season has been commissioned.

Glitch Techs will boast a multi-ethnic cast, including a Muslim-American female character who will wear a hijab. At a industry panel held late last year, the co-creators explained that when they were developing Glitch Techs, they “recognized the need to incorporate characters reflective of the viewing audience, whether they are background characters or main characters,” and revealed that they had worked with MPAC (Muslim Public Affairs Council) to “figure out how to accurately display an authenticity, even down to little behaviors.” Dan Milano further elaborated, “Even though we’re an animated show and they are trying to catch creatures, we want small things. We want to know that a stray hair came out of that hijab, and she had to tuck it behind her ear because that’s a human moment, that’s a practical moment, from everyday life.”


It was recently announced that Emmy-award winning actor Bryton James (Winx Club, The Young and the Restless) will be voicing a character in Nickelodeon Glitch Techs.

Hosted by music mogul DJ Khaled, the unpredictable and always messy awards show was broadcast live from USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles, where kids celebrated their favorites in pop culture, television, music, social media and movies.

This year’s party kicked off with DJ Khaled making his way to the Kids’ Choice Awards in style, with an assist from friends Kylie Jenner and the Jonas Brothers. His next-level arrival began with a ride in a Rolls Royce Phantom, followed by a cruise on a luxury yacht, and a trip on board the “Kids’ Force One” helicopter before landing at the Kids’ Choice Awards.

There was no shortage of slime and epic moments from this year’s show: Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott from Disney’s Aladdin arrived on a magic carpet and made the audience’s slime-filled wishes come true, dousing Smith and kids in green goo; DJ Khaled had to don a JoJo bow after losing a dance battle to JoJo Siwa in a live vote; Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez and Michael Peña, from Dora and the Lost City of Gold, world premiered the trailer for the upcoming Paramount Players live-action movie; DJ Khaled then surprised the audience by unboxing social media sensation Ryan of Ryan ToysReview; social media star David Dobrik, Chris Pratt, Josh Peck and Adam Sandler were soaked from head to toe; and the show culminated with DJ Khaled turning up the volume one last time with the biggest sliming of the night, blanketing the first-time host and the crowd.

Multiplatinum hip-hop trio Migos performed their hits “Walk It Talk It” and “Stir Fry,” along with rising single “Pure Water,” accompanied by DJ Durel. Hosted by music mogul DJ Khaled, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2019 celebrates kids’ favorites from across the worlds of film, television, music, pop culture, animation and more, and will air live on Saturday, March 23, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) from the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California on Nickelodeon USA. Peppa Pig is back in brand-new episodes, and she's bringing along all-new words, showcasing her all-new skills, and jumping in all-new muddy puddles! Catch brand-new episodes of Peppa Pig, weekdays at 7:30am from Monday 25th March 2019, only on Milkshake! on Channel 5!


Monday 25th March 2019 - Lots of Muddy Puddles: On a day out with her family, Peppa is encouraged to find words to describe the different kinds of muddy puddles they find. (Series 6, episode 3)

Tuesday 26th March 2019 - Mandy Mouse: Peppa's playgroup are introduced to a new friend. Mandy Mouse uses a wheelchair and the children have a lot of fun playing together. Mandy is super sporty and loves to play games. (Series 6, episode 4)

Wednesday 27th March 2019 - Recorders: Madame Gazelle teaches the children how to play the recorder. They do lots of practising at home, then put on a performance for all the parents to enjoy. (Series 6, episode 5)

Thursday 28th March 2019 - Miss Rabbit's Relaxation Class: Miss Rabbit persuades Mummy Pig to go to her relaxation class, but relaxing proves more difficult than expected. However, thanks to Daddy Pig's bouncy castle, they all have fun in the end! (Series 6, episode 6)

Friday 29th March 2019 - Parking Ticket: When Daddy Pig is given a parking ticket, Peppa and George learn that adults have rules just like children - and that they get told off too! (Series 6, episode 7)

Monday 1st April 2019 - Funny Music: A new synthesiser arrives for Daddy Pig, and his family collect sounds for it from around the house while he is out at work. Later, when he starts to play, it makes some very funny music - full of oinks, pings and even a flushing toilet! (Series 6, episode 9)

Tuesday 2nd April 2019 - Buttercups, Daisies and Dandelions: Peppa and her family visit cousin Chloe for a picnic in her garden. The children pick some wild flowers and Chloe shows them how buttercups can tell if they like butter, daisies make pretty chains and how dandelions can transform George into a lion! (Series 6, episode 10)

Wednesday 3rd April 2019 - The Marble Run: Rebecca and Richard Rabbit are playing a marble run game at Peppa's house. But when Daddy Pig joins in and improvises tunnels and bridges, the marble rolls out of the bedroom, down the stairs and into the lounge, causing chaos and nearly knocking Goldie out of her bowl! (Series 6, episode 11)

Thursday 4th April 2019 - Grandpa Pig's Metal Detector: When George loses the key for his new toy robot in the long grass at Granny and Grandpa's house, Grandpa can't find his old metal detector to look for it. (Series 6, episode 12)

Friday 5th April 2019 - World Book Day: It's World Book Day and everyone at playgroup has to come dressed as a character from their favourite book. Danny favours Dogbeard from The Adventures of Dogbeard the Sailor. Edmond wants to be the big number from Mummy Pig's book. But Peppa has so many favourite books that she cannot decide which character to go as. So she goes as them all... (Series 6, episode 6)

Josh Peck Spills Details on Upcoming Project With Drake Bell | KCA 2019

Josh Peck's upcoming project with Drake Bell is not a Drake & Josh reboot.


Entertainment Tonight's kid correspondent, Devin Trey Campbell, spoke with the new dad on the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2019 Orange Carpet at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, where he spilled details on the collaboration he and Bell have in the works.

"I wouldn't call it a reboot. I think it's just an opportunity for Drake and I to be working together again," Peck explained. "Obviously we love each other and we were able to make such an impact on people [with Drake & Josh], so any chance to do something dope together, it's really exciting for me."

"It's going to be good. Y'all will like it," he added.

Speculation over what the former co-stars could be working on intensified last week, when Peck and Bell were spotted seemingly wrapping up a meeting outside the Viacom office in Los Angeles.

"We're trying to go for a Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, same guys, but in a whole new set of scenarios [type of project]," Peck told ET. "I don't know [when it's premiering]. We'll see! ...It's exciting and it's in the works."

Peck also opened up about his friendship with his former Grandfathered co-star, John Stamos, and how they've gotten closer since both becoming dads. Peck welcomed his first child, son Max, with wife Paige O'Brien in December, while Stamos and his wife, Caitlin McHugh, welcomed son Billy last April.

"Actually, John Stamos brought Billy to the hospital to meet Max. So, it was really special. I just can't believe I'm friends with John Stamos! It was a very cute moment, but let's talk about how I have famous friends," Peck joked.

In all seriousness, the former Nickelodeon star is loving being a dad.

"[Max is] like, nonstop cuteness, which is pretty great. But he's already started to appreciate that song 'Baby Shark,' which is scary but also amazing," he said.

JoJo Siwa, Noah Centineo Take on Bullying at Kids’ Choice Awards 2019

This year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards was full of positivity and encouragement to be yourself. DJ Khaled, known for his upbeat mantras, hosted the 32nd annual awards ceremony alongside JoJo Siwa at USC’s Galen center in Los Angeles, California.

Siwa accepted the award for favorite social music star. Siwa said in her acceptance speech, “I get hated on every single day for looking different, looking not what a normal 15-year-old should look like.” She continued, “That is not the case. We are all human, we are all different, we’re allowed to look like we want to look, we’re allowed to do what we want to do because you are the number one you.”

The YouTube star accepted the award from co-host Khaled. She told Variety that Khaled was the celebrity she was most excited to talk to on the orange carpet, and that she draws inspiration from the rapper, citing “another one” as her favorite Khaled catchphrase. Siwa later challenged Khaled to a dance-off during the show.

Siwa was not the only guest speaking out against bullying at the event. After accepting the award for favorite movie actor for To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Noah Centineo said, “It’s 2019, bullying is not something that should exist anymore. The ceremony was full of musical performances, celebrity appearances, sneak peaks, and of course slime. Some of the highlights included the Migos performance, a SpongeBob Musical medley, the world premiere of Nickelodeon and Paramount's first Dora and the Lost City of Gold movie trailer with Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez and Michael Peña, an Aladdin promo with Will Smith, and Chris Pratt getting slime all over his suit after receiving the favorite butt kicker award for Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom.
