Nickelodeon's all-new Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles float will debut at the 92nd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade®.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a reimagined take on the iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, will roll into the 92nd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® on a brand-new float inspired by the bold and dramatic aesthetic of the 2D-animated series. The multi-tiered float will give fans a look at the world famous fighting foursome’s underground lair and will bring the series’ New York City streets to life for more than 3.5 million spectators lining the route and more than 50 million viewers nationwide.

From their underground lair to the streets of New York City, Nickelodeon’s Heroes in a Half-Shell will take fans on a wild ride down 34th street on a one-of-a-kind float, featuring an insider’s look at the Turtles in their natural habitat, punctuated by an array of lighting and fog special effects.

The 92nd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade airs nationwide on NBC-TV, on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018 from 9:00 AM – Noon; in all time zones.

Kevin Jonas excited to introduce Paw Patrol balloon at Macy's Parade with his daughters

Like many families, Kevin Jonas' always watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year, they get to introduce the Paw Patrol balloon.


It may have been a while since you've seen Kevin Jonas, who was part of the Jonas Brothers until the hit band parted ways in 2013.

Of course, you've heard a lot recently about his brother Nick Jonas and his engagement to actress Priyanka Chopra.

But you'll see this father of two daughters and his wife, Danielle, Thursday as they announce the Paw Patrol balloon at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Once again, the balloon will feature one of the popular kid's show heroic rescue pups named Chase.

"It's a huge family tradition to watch the event," Jonas told All the Moms.

Paw Patrol Chase is pawing its way into the 2018 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Jonas, 31, and wife, Danielle, 32, are parents to Elena Rose, 4, and Valentina Angelina, 2. This will be the first time they all have a front seat for the parade and they're all about Paw Patrol.

"Oh my gosh — we went on a family vacation and I took two DVDs for them and that's all Valentina kept yelling: Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol!"

Jonas said he likes the PAW Patrol theme song. (They didn't make him say that.)

Unlike other parents who hate on the Nickelodeon theme song, like actor Ryan Reynolds [Nickelodeon's Fifteen, Are You Afraid of the Dark?], who told it to "get outta my head" on Instagram. Jonas said as a musician he "appreciates" a catchy tune.

Music will always be in his life, but for now Jonas is living in New Jersey and working as a contractor and raising his daughters.

Update (11/14): To celebrate the 92nd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Macy's opened their Studio to give journalists and students a super first-look at this years new floats, including Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles float! It has also been revealed that the Rise of the TMNT float will feature arcade machines, a skateboard ramp, and a basketball court!

Additionally, Ally Brooke has revealed that she'll be performing her brand her single, a cover of Wham!'s 'Last Christmas' on the Shimmer and Shine float! The former Fifth Harmony star took to Twitter on Tuesday (13.11.18) to reveal she is going to pay homage to the 80s duo - which was comprised of the late George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley - by putting her own spin on their festive hit.

Sharing her excitement, Ally wrote on Twitter: "it's been one of the biggest dreams of mine to release a Christmas song and now I finally get to one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time. Aaaand I'll be performing this on the @macys day parade!!! I cannot wait, I'm so happy // @Nickelodeon @nbc (sic)"

The cover will be released ahead of Ally's new song, 'Vámonos', which she debuted live at the Fusion Festival in Liverpool, England, in September, and will be released on November 23.

Nickelodeon has been a participant since 1997 and is expanding its relationship this year to include three balloons and two floats—one of its largest representations, according to Charlotte Castillo, senior VP of global franchise planning. Ariana Grande's ‘Thank U, Next’ Music Video Could Feature a Mini Victorious Reunion!

Breakup anthem and certified bop “Thank U, Next” by Billboard’s Woman of the Year Ariana Grande has taken the world by storm, with fans raving over the singer’s unapologetic name drops of her famous ex-boyfriends Ricky Alvarez, Big Sean, Mac Miller, and Pete Davidson. The empowering track has stayed in the number one slot of the Billboard Top 100 list and in just a few short weeks after it’s release has already gone certified platinum.

But despite the new single coming shortly after the release of Grande’s fourth studio album Sweetener, fans were hungry for more, which the singer gave them by announcing just a few days ago that the music video for number one hit was in the works. Grande spent the week revealing to fans that the song’s visual counterpart would pay homage to four movies that celebrate strong women–Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30, and finally Bring It On–and Arianators are freaking out about it. And to add more to the ever-growing buzz, it appears Grande has tapped at least two of her former co-stars from Victorious to make guest appearances in the “Thank U, Next” music video, Inquisitr reports!

As noted by the Daily Mail, it appears that one of those familiar faces will be Daniella Monet, who played Trina in the hit Nickelodeon comedy series. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot Monet’s Instagram post seemingly unveiling her cameo, in which she wears the classic red cheerleading uniform that is worn by the Rancho Carne High School’s Toro cheerleading squad in the first installment of the Bring It On franchise.

But Daniella is not the only Victorious alum that will have a spot in the video–Elizabeth Gillies will as well! Gillies portrayed Jade in the TV series and recently posted a clue to her own Instagram account that she would be a featured face as well, though her part will be in a scene depicting Tina Fey’s Mean Girls.

“I have this theory that if you cut all her hair off, she’d look like a British man,” Gillies captioned a shot of a group of people wearing pink, quoting one of the film’s iconic lines.


Ariana has used her power to tap a few other familiar faces for the music video as well, including Jennifer Coolidge, who played Paulette in the hit film Legally Blonde. There is also some speculation, as noted by the Daily Mail, that Kim Kardashian may even make a guest appearance after she tweeted over the weekend that she “just witnessed the funniest thing OF ALL TIME OMG,” and tagging Grande in the post.


Needless to say, nobody will be saying “thank u, next” to this music video when it debuts.

Nickelodeon Announces First-Ever SLIMEFEST Germany

Berlin - Get set for Slime, Slime and even more Slime! Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland) has announced the aweslime news that the number-one channel for kids will be bringing Nickelodeon's legendary slime-filled, multiplatform music and entertainment event SLIMEFEST to Germany for the very first time!


The first-ever SLIMEFEST Deutschland, guaranteed to be Germany's slimiest event of the year, will take place on Saturday 1st December 2018 as part of the German Comic Con in the Dortmunder Westfalenhalle. Tickets are available to purchase now at Eventim.

The first artists confirmed to be appearing at SLIMEFEST Deutschland are Mike Singer, Pietro Lombardi, Die Lochis and Bars & Melody, with more artists set to announced in the coming weeks and months.

During the day, the stars of SLIMEFEST will be able to be found at the German Comic Con Dortmund, where Nickelodeon will host Meet & Greet sessions, in which fans can meet their favourite stars in person, as well as get their autographs and take selfies with them.

The action-comedy series follows the band of brothers as they discover new powers and encounter a mystical world they never knew existed beneath the streets of New York City. Following its US launch, the series will roll out globally across Nickelodeon's channels and branded blocks in 170+ countries and territories. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles follows the Turtles on all-new adventures as they master new powers, encounter absurd mutants and battle bizarre villains, each with their own motivations. Ranging from mystics, mutants and madmen, new creatures and villains emerge to take on Raph, Leo, Donnie and Mikey in battles across New York City. From the tallest skyscraper to the dankest sewer drain, the brothers learn to work together and navigate the perils of New York City and the hidden realms below in order to fulfill their destiny to become a team of heroes.

Nickelodeon USA has announced the very exciting news that, following the super sneak-peek of Cousins For Life on Saturday, November 24, Nick USA will fully premiere the network's brand-new live-action comedy series on Saturday, January 5, 2019!


Cousins For Life centers on 12-year-old cousins Stuart (Dallas Young) and Ivy (Scarlet Spencer), best friends who come from very different backgrounds, who have to learn to navigate life under one roof with their families.

After Stuart’s mom is deployed overseas, his fun-loving dad Clark (Ishmel Sahid) decides to move the family to Portland to live with his uptight brother Lewis (Ron G.) and his family, which includes Stuart’s confident, socially active cousin Ivy and her younger, overly-curious brother Leaf (Micah Abbey). Now living in a brand new city, Stuart embarks on a variety of endeavors with Ivy that lead to hilarious adventures.


Although the cousins do not always see eye-to-eye, Ivy and Stuart learn they are better together, and when they team up, they are unstoppable. The series will also feature Emma Shannon (Black-ish) as Millie.

In the series premiere, "Movin’ In" (#101), when cousins Ivy and Stuart find themselves living under the same roof they learn that they are better together, and when they team up, they are unstoppable!

Cousins For Life is filmed at The Burbank Studios in Burbank, California - the same studio facility where Henry Danger is filmed, as where many iconic TV shows have been filmed, including Saved by the Bell and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - earlier this summer.



Greenlit for an initial 20 episodes, Cousins For Life comes from veteran creators and executive producers Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert (Austin & Ally, All That).

Nick Jr. Unwrapped to reveal mystery Christmas episodes


As part of its build up to the festive season, Nick Jr. UK & Ireland is to conceal episode titles on the EPG for its 7.30am peak morning slot for the first time ever!

The festive initiative, entitled Nick Jr. Unwrapped, is being undertaken to entice kids and parents to return to the channel daily to find out which mystery Christmas preschool episode is being unwrapped through a big reveal. A total of nine brand new episodes will run from the 1–9 December, with themed episodes running for the rest of December in the countdown to Christmas. The episode being unwrapped at 7:30 am will also be repeated at 4:30 pm. Creative was devised by Nickelodeon’s in-house team.

As well as product prizing relating to the unwrapped shows, parents will also be able to watch and win lifestyle prizes which is also a first for the preschool channel. Viewers are invited to spot which Nick Jr. character is with the present/being unwrapped on screen throughout the day. Entry is via the nickjr.co.uk/unwrapped website.



“Our goal at Nick Jr. is to always be playful and exciting as we lead our audience on adventures! Our Christmas campaign will definitely deliver on this promise as, just like Christmas morning, it will be a surprise as to which of their favourite show will be unwrapped”, said Alison Bakunowich, Senior Vice President (SVP), Nickelodeon, UK, Northern and Eastern Europe.

It's almost entirely impossible to separate great movie moments from the music that soundtracked them. With something as generationally adored as TheRugrats, it is even more impossible, especially when you consider the paramount artists that were tasked with contributing to the film. Legends, fleeting hit makers, and revered songwriters alike were all involved in couching the film in colorful sonics that bolstered the movie's impact. Even Blondie's monster single "One Way Or Another" got a facelift for a punchy cover by Cheryl Chase, the voice of Angelica. What speaks to the movie's overarching impact is the eclectic nature of the artists and the tracks themselves, ranging from hip-hop, to R&B, to pop, and rock as well.

The great Mark Mothersbaugh (of Devo fame) produced the soundtrack with signature touches that added connective fabric to the entire release. In fact, Mothersbaugh wrote the TV show's opening theme as well as its catchy lead single, "Take Me There," which went Platinum in the U.S. and charted at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. 'SpongeBob SquarePants' and 'Hey Duggee' Win Big At The 2018 British Academy Children's Awards

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon's hit original animated series (Nicktoon) SpongeBob SquarePants won the best 'International Animation' accolade in this years Children's BAFTA Awards, British Academy Children's Awards 2018, which honours the very best in children's media!


Nickelodeon picked up the award at the prestigious 2018 British Academy Children's Awards ceremony hosted by Marvin and Rochelle Humes at the Roundhouse in London on Sunday 25th November 2018.

In addition to SpongeBob SquarePants, the popular animated preschool series Hey Duggee (Studio AKA/CBeebies), which airs on Nick Jr. USA, also picked up three awards at the ceremony, including for best 'Pre-School - Animation' series. The show was also victorious in the digital category for its companion app Hey Duggee: The Counting Badge (Scary Beasties/BBC Studios/Studio AKA), while Grant Orchard took home the award for best director.

VUDU is Offering the First 10 Volumes of 'Are You Afraid of the Dark?' for Only $10

Online retailer Vudu is currently offering a limited-time deal on a 65-episode bundle of Nickelodeon's beloved '90s horror-fantasy anthology television series Are You Afraid of the Dark? for just $9.99.

The ten-volume bundle is available only in standard definition and includes such memorable episodes as “The Tale of Laughing in the Dark,” centered around a haunting clown named Zeebo, and “The Tale of the Midnight Madness,” which finds famed vampire Nosferatu feasting on unsuspecting moviegoers.

"This anthology series offers spine-tingling stories inspired by the classic art of storytelling. Each half-hour begins with a group of kids, known as "The Midnight Society" who gather around a campfire to tell scary stories. These timeless tales provide suspense and real dramatic tension without resorting to violence, blood and gore."

Paramount Pictures’ Paramount Players (Dora the Explorer) is currently developing a live-action big screen adaptation in conjunction with Nickelodeon Movies under screenwriter Gary Dauberman (It, The Nun), who penned an all-new story focused on the tale-telling Midnight Society huddled around a campfire.

The 1990s horror anthology, which often tackled darker fare than its Nickelodeon counterparts, will be true to spirit in its theatrical revival, Dauberman revealed.

“That show is so important to me. I didn’t want to age it down too much because for it’s time, it had some really disturbing episodes and some really dark episodes. Not every story the Midnight Society told ended with happily ever after or a person learning their lesson and it will never happen again," Dauberman said.

“I really embraced that side of things and I think it’s been a long time. I think fear is healthy for kids. I don’t think we have to always sand down the edges of things and that’s something I really wanted to do with Are You Afraid of the Dark?

“I think it is scary and I think kids will be scared watching it at times, and also they’ll laugh at times. I think it’s got a great message. I think it’s got a great heart to it but it is still scary. I think that’s great. I think it’s going to open it up to a wider audience.”

Dauberman has also revealed that the film adaptation aims to “honor the darker, scarier” and “groundbreaking” tone of the original show, which emerged as a hit among Nickelodeon’s younger demographic and ran for a total 91 episodes over seven seasons between 1990 and 2000.

Paramount has dated Are You Afraid of the Dark? for October 11, 2019.

Kally’s MashUp is inspired by the real-life musical journey of Glee’s executive musical producer, Adam Anders. It follows the adventures of Kally, a young musical prodigy who tries to balance her life as a piano virtuoso and a regular girl when she moves from a small town to the most prestigious music university in the country. Protagonistas falam sobre a segunda temporada de "Kally's Mashup", sucesso na Nick


Na última semana, os atores Maia Reficco, Lalo Brito e Alex Hoyer, protagonistas da novela musical "Kally's Mashup", da Nickelodeony, desembarcaram no Brasil para participarem da edição deste ano da premiação "Meus Prêmios Nick", que aconteceu na última quinta-feira (7) e foi exibida pelo canal no domingo (11).

Antes, o NaTelinha esteve na sede da Viacom, em São Paulo, para um bate-papo sobre a trama, músicas e suas impressões do Brasil.

"Kally's Mashup"é uma produção argentina inspirada na trajetória musical do produtor de "Glee", Adam Anders, e faz grande sucesso por aqui. Tanto que sua segunda temporada estreou recentemente na TV paga brasileira antes de qualquer outro canal da América Latina.

No "Meus Prêmios Nick", a novela concorreu em quatro categorias e venceu em todas elas: Programa de TV Favorito, Programa da Nick Favorito, Ship do Ano (Kally e Dante) e Artista de TV Favorito (Maia Reficco).

Ao NaTelinha, Maia Reficco contou o que os fãs podem esperar da segunda temporada de "Kally's Mashup", que estreou no final de outubro na Nick. "A segunda temporada está muito divertida, até porque eu sou fã. Serão novas músicas e a história ficará muito interessante e acontecerá uma mudança que as pessoas vão falar 'O quê???'. Vocês não podem perder, já que vão se apaixonar ainda mais pelos personagens. Vamos ajudar a todos a quererem seguir seus sonhos", disse.


Na trama, Alex Hoyer e Maia Reficco formam um casal, que foi 'shippado' como Dally. Será que eles enfrentarão muitos obstáculos nessa continuação? "O que eu posso falar é que terão obstáculos, os personagens vão evoluindo. Em alguns momentos vocês vão ver a Kally muito ocupada sem poder dar atenção. Dante também não poderá dar tanta atenção pois estará focado na música. Os dois estarão seguindo os seus sonhos, mas acredito que em algum momento eles estarão juntos", contou Alex. "As cenas dos dois estão muito lindas, eles têm muitas coisas em comum", garante Maia. Lalo Brito, que interpreta o Andy, brinca, fazendo mistério: "E tem uma parte em que os dois... Vejam a novela de segunda à sexta na Nickelodeon (risos)".

Questionados, os atores analisaram as dublagens de seus personagens feitas no Brasil. "É algo muito engraçado pois você se vê falando em outro idioma, mas é muito bonito que reconheçam o seu trabalho em outro país, ainda mais em um país como o Brasil. Ficamos muito emocionados e motivados como artistas para fazer o nosso trabalho cada dia melhor. É como um sonho se tornando realidade", bradou Lalo.


"As pessoas que fazem as dublagens são gênios, pois afinal são eles que dão vida aos personagens. Estamos muito felizes, mas a principio é muito diferente ver você falando em outro idioma, ai eu penso: 'Uau, como eu falo bem português' (risos)", brincou Alex Hoyer.

"Nós como atores temos que transmitir a verdade com o corpo, voz, e assim não ficamos limitado apenas ao visual. O que os dubladores fazem é inacreditável, pois se eu me ver dublada em russo eu vou acreditar que estou falando. Em português o que eu consigo entender mais ou menos está perfeito", elogiou Maia Reficco.

Na novela, Kally está com dificuldades em conciliar o trabalho com suas responsabilidades musicais. Será que ela vai deixar algo de lado? "Eu quero contar tudo. Na verdade para mim o mais lindo dessa segunda temporada é que passou o mesmo comigo. Na vida real as vezes enfrentamos esse paradigma que você quer fazer coisas que gosta mas não tem tempo. Então a grande lição que aprendi em 'Kally's Mashup'é aprender a priorizar", disse a intérprete, Maia Reficco.

"Sim, é uma grande temporada", vociferou Alex. "Vocês verão também a luta de todos para conseguir seguir os sonhos. Sempre existe algo em possa aprender mais", completou Lalo.

Após conhecerem São Paulo, o trio protagonista falou quais outras cidades brasileiras pretendem visitar. "Todas", gritaram juntos, aos risos. "Quero ir à praia, eu sei que em algum momento eu irei à praia. Quero conhecer a Amazônia", apontou Maia. "Imagina se estamos sobrevoando de avião e nos deixam dentro da Amazônia? Seria incrível", destacou Alex. "Ir ao Cristo Redentor, e sentar no ombro dele", disse Lalo, recebendo o apoio de Maia. "Queria fazer parkour, porque sei que praticam muito por aqui", completou o intérprete de Andy.
