To celebrate the upcoming launch of Butterbean’s Café, Nickelodeon's upcoming brand-new animated preschool series about a fairy named Butterbean and her adventures running a neighborhood café and magical bakery, Viacom International Studios has unveiled a fantastic video featuring the Butterbean's Cafe theme song, which you can watch here on C21Screenings!


Butterbean’s Café is an animated preschool series about a fairy named Butterbean who runs a neighborhood café and magical bakery. She and her fairy friends serve up the healthiest snacks and sweetest treats in Puddlebrook – a small town of fairies and anthropomorphized animals called Brookies. Butterbean’s special bean magic, the fairies’ magic kitchen tools, and the team’s can-do spirit all combine to make their café the most awesome eatery in town, one that’s always much busier than greedy and competitive Ms. Marmalady’s across the brook. That’s because Butterbean has a sure-fire recipe for success – a spoonful of leadership, a dash of entrepreneurial spirit and just a sprinkle of fairy magic!

Butterbean’s Cafe features creative cooking, and a social-emotional curriculum that highlights entrepreneurial and leadership skills. The currently confirmed characters in the show are: Butterbean, Keesha, Cricket, Jasper, Ms. Marmalady, Poppy, Miss Honeybook and Reuben. Created by Jonny Belt and Robert Scull, the creators of Bubble Guppies, the series is produced by Brown Bag Films (Peter Rabbit) in Ireland, and is slated to launch on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels around the world soon.

'Nickelodeon Kart Racers' Game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch Goes Gold

GameMill Entertainment today announced that Nickelodeon Kart Racers has gone gold and is now in manufacturing! The video game will launch in the US on October 23 and on October 26 in EMEA for £29.99/€39.99 for PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch™ and is available now for pre-order. The game is rated E for Everyone in North America and PEGI 3 in the UK and Europe.

Annie LeBlanc Signs Talent Deal with Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon, the number-one kids’ network, has signed 13-year old actor and singer Annie LeBlanc to a talent deal! Under the arrangement, Nickelodeon will have the opportunity to work with LeBlanc on a multi-platform basis, in which the actor will starring in linear and digital content for Nickelodeon. Viacom Digital Studios (VDS) made the announcement during its presentation at the new West Coast edition of the NewFronts on Wednesday, October 10.


LeBlanc, whose full name is Julianna Grace "Annie" LeBlanc, is an American singer, social media star, actor, and gymnast who made her YouTube debut at age four, and has amassed an extensive online following, including 6.6 million Instagram followers.

The news follows the successful collaboration with Dance Moms and social media star JoJo Siwa.

Viacom Digital Studios, heading the company's effort to recapture young viewers no longer watching cable by reaching them online and on social platforms, also announced new programming on Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube during its NewFronts West Coast 2018 presentation.

“Viacom Digital Studios is developing hundreds of hours of premium, digital-first programming designed to engage young audiences across the social and mobile platforms they love most,” said Kelly Day, president of Viacom Digital Studios. “We’re continuing to build on our incredible momentum with expanded platform partnerships, talent deals, strategic acquisitions and new original formats to super-serve our fans.”

VDS said it expanded its relationship with Snap and is creating 10 new series, including Clean Slate from MTV, Filthy Living from MTV and De’Arrta and Ken’s Prank Show from BET. Snapchat is also getting 500 episodes of Viacom shows and season 2 of MTV Cribs for Snapchat returns this month.

Twitter users will be getting news programming from Viacom brands. BET Breaks and MTV News: Unfiltered were launched at the beginning of the month. Extra Damn Day from Comedy Central debuted this week and MTV New Presents: Need to Know premieres on Nov. 15.

VDS is creating YouTube Channels for fans of some of Viacom network franchises, including MTV’s Jersey Shore, Comedy Central Stand-Up and MTV’s Wild ‘N Out.

Viacom Digital Studios is also producing several digital series for Nickelodeon, including the recently premiered The JoJo & BowBow Show Show, and the upcoming Minecraft City Champs and Drop That Seat (formally titled Musical Dares).

Viacom says that over its social footprint of 850 million followers, it get almost 2.5 billion views per month and 3.5 billion minutes watched.

Since the launch of VDS, social video views have increased 112% and watch time is up 104%.

Nickelodeon Signs Sustainable Clothing Licensing Deal with Trashcode | BLE 2018

The merchandising arm of children’s TV brand Nickelodeon has embarked on a first-of-its-kind agreement to create sustainable fashion and accessories as part of its licensing deal!


Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products (VNCP) has inked a multi-year pan-European, Middle East and Africa deal with Trashcode to create licensed merchandise from sustainable materials!

Trashcode is a new joint venture between apparel and accessories company Cookie Company Group and sustainable textile company Waste2Wear. Waste2wear has produced sustainable fabrics since 2008 using recycled PET bottles.


VNCP is in talks with its retail partners to develop character-based apparel ranges with Trashcode materials. The first pieces to launch under the deal will include SpongeBob SquarePants T-shirts. Prototypes of SpongeBob SquarePants t-shirts made from Trashcode recycled materials will be on display at Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) 2018 in London, UK.

Trashcode products are composed of Waste2Wear fabrics made from recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles and/or other recycled materials. “We have a long-standing relationship with Cookie Company Group, and when they came to us about Trashcode, we knew we needed to be a launch partner,” says Mark Kingston, Senior Vice President (SVP), International, Viacom/Nickelodeon Consumer Products.


"The T-shirts we created are not only high quality, but they also highlight the number of recycled plastic bottles used to create the garment.

“Viacom Nickelodeon have a history of bringing awareness to pro-social causes, and at VNCP, we want to do our part to help create a more sustainable licensing industry. Brand Licensing Europe is the perfect opportunity to engage with retail partners about this important topic. 2019 is SpongeBob SquarePants’ 20th anniversary, and he is an ideal character to illustrate Trashcode’s mission of high-quality sustainable products in the licensing industry.

"This messaging will accompany all Trashcode products, and we believe it will connect consumers to their choice to buy sustainable."

Sabine Hulsman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Cookie Company Group, explained: “On average, a children’s shirt made with R-PET has given a new life to five to eight discarded plastic bottles, and a jacket can take up to forty plastic bottles out of the environment.”

Cathedral City Revamps Kids Range with Nickelodeon Licensing Deal

The Dairy Crest brand will showcase Paw Parol, SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!


Cathedral City has revamped its kids range with a new licensing deal with Nickelodeon, with the range now containing a 30% less fat ‘Mild Lighter’ cheddar!

From today (10 October), the Dairy Crest brand began rolling out its updated kids’ snacking portfolio, with each SKU featuring Nickelodeon TV characters from programmes targeting the product’s target age group.

Cathedral City’s Nibbles targeting three to four-year-olds now feature PAW Patrol characters; Towers for five to seven-year-olds showcase SpongeBob SquarePants, and Cheese & Toasties aim for the eight to 11-year-old market with new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles imagery.

The relaunch will also see on-pack messaging highlighting the snacks’ source of calcium, high protein and calorie-controlled credentials in response to research conducted by the brand, which found mums wanted to feel confident about making good choices for their families.

“Our research showed parents harbour a sense of guilt for not always having enough time to offer the best snacks to their kids and feel that brands that traditionally communicate to kids tend to push unhealthy options, making them ‘the baddie’ for saying ‘no’,” Anca Lazar, Cathedral City snacking senior brand manager, told The Grocer.

“Our range renovation seeks to address this, with a fun and appealing pack design to engage the end consumer (the child), combined with a great tasting, natural product and an improved nutritional profile, communicated transparently on pack,” she added.

“We’re excited to be partnering with Nickelodeon as we embark on this journey and are confident the new packs will resonate with families, helping capture some of the spend that is currently going into traditional ‘less healthy’ snack categories and recruit the next generation of cheese consumers.”

Fans can watch SpongeBob SquarePants and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles everyday on Nickelodeon and Nicktoons and PAW Patrol everyday on Nick Jr.!

Pam Kaufman Says Licensing 'Best Industry in the World' | BLE 2018

Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) 2018 kicked off with the first official keynote session at The Licensing Academy with Pam Kaufman, President, Viacom/Nickelodeon Consumer Products (VNCP). During the fireside chat with Amanda Cioletti, content director, License Global, Kaufman shared insights into the changing retail landscape and discussed how the newly-formed, globally-aligned Viacom/Nickelodeon Consumer Products positions the organization for success and how consumer products fits into Viacom’s broader strategy. Kaufman said that she was having “the best time ever” in her new role and is positive about the collaboration between Viacom and Nickelodeon. Now that one team is handling the portfolio across the company, she is looking for licensing opportunities within the new and classic library at VNCP and Paramount Pictures for films such as Top Gun, Clueless and more. She is also meeting with teams and assessing markets, with a focus on Asia, Brazil and Mexico.


With a raft of programming for kids and families, Kaufman is looking to Viacom’s properties like South Park and Jersey Shore to expand licensing opportunities. Soul Train, a VNCP property, is approaching its 50th anniversary, and Kaufman is seeking partners to work with for the classic dance show. Paw Patrol, another VNCP property, has become a favorite show with kids and adults alike, which caught Kaufman by surprise.

“Every time I go somewhere, watch something or read a Kardashian post [on social media], there’s always something about Paw Patrol,” says Kaufman. Plans for Paw Patrol include a direct-to-video program for “Mighty Pups” at Walmart in the U.S. When speaking about the classic property Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which received an image overhaul for the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series on Nickelodeon, Kaufman found that keeping a 30-year-old property like TMNT relevant was a relatively easy challenge. “It really is in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' DNA to change it up,” says Kaufman.

One of the new strategies was to premiere Rise of the Turtles across all digital channels, including YouTube. The premiere show received 8.5M global views. Kaufman also shared how working with an influencer like JoJo Siwa helped VNCP get into an overlooked market.

“We saw a retail opportunity for 9-to 14-year-olds,” says Kaufman. “It was an opportunity for the company to go to retail and amplify a space that is underserved.” Next year, Siwa is celebrating her 16th birthday by releasing new music, and recently debuted a new animated series, The JoJo BowBow Show Show featuring her dog BowBow, who is breaking out as a pet influencer. Kaufman showed nothing but enthusiasm for the future of the licensing industry.

“We’re in the best industry right now in the world,” says Kaufman. “The retail landscape changes, but people are never going to stop shopping. We’re looking for a lot of ways to connect to the consumer. And there’s more content being consumed than ever before."

Marianne James Talks Nickelodeon's Plans for BLE 2018 and the Year Ahead [Updated]

With Brand Licensing Europe fast approaching, The Source caught up with Marianne James, Vice President (VP), commercial partnerships, consumer products & experiences at Viacom Nickelodeon UK & Ireland to find out Nickelodeon's plans for the remainder of the year, thoughts on the retail landscape, trends, which shows are so important for Nick, and about Nick Jr. retaining its position as the ‘home of preschool’!



Which preschool brands will you be showcasing at BLE?

We will be presenting plans for established Nickelodeon hits like PAW Patrol and Shimmer and Shine, as well as its strategies for newer shows like Nella the Princess Knight and Rusty Rivets. Moreover, we will be sharing retail, product and programming plans for our exciting new CP lines launching in 2019 like Top Wing and Sunny Day.


Can you run through how the licensing programmes for each are shaping up?

PAW Patrol remains the number one preschool licensed property and ranks within the top three total market. It is the fastest growing girls license in the UK and with the launch of series five this year, we will be introducing new themes and fresh style guides to our partners to create must-have ranges. This year we have also introduced new publishing products via Centum; we have a new agreement with Subway; and we have moved into a new sector with the launch of a PAW Patrol Kellogg’s cereal.

Shimmer and Shine dolls have performed well and Mattel’s basic doll has taken the market by storm making NPD’s Top 10 in the doll category in the first year of sale. The launch of series four this year will see the introduction of new characters and the new Mattel range will also include the highly anticipated Zahracorns.

In January 2018, we had the CP launch for Nella the Princess Knight through master toy provider Vivid. This was followed by the apparel launch in May 2018, with George being the first retailer to market. Series 2 has now been confirmed and the introduction of new characters, new locations and new powers will lead to new style guides and assets to produce captivating new ranges for retailers.

The apparel launch for Rusty Rivets at the end of June was again with George, the first retailer to market. The CP toy launch for Rusty Rivets took place in July, and the Botosaur remains a popular purchase from the line. Series 2 recently launched on Nick Jr. and it is performing well. Next year, we will be launching the CP range for popular CG-animated show Top Wing. Our master toy partner is Hasbro and we have high hopes for the product line given its popularity on the UK network.

Sunny Day launches in AW19 with exciting products for girls aged 3-6 courtesy of master toy partner, Mattel. The Sunny Day Van tour with Walmart in the US was very successful and there will be a delightful style guide which bodes well for a marvellous doll and play-set range.


Will there be any new launches or sneak peaks of upcoming brands?

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is our key Nickelodeon priority. Flair is the UK distributor and will be introducing an awesome range of toys to market on October 5. In May 2019, JoJo Siwa will be celebrating her 16th birthday, and we are putting together a comprehensive CP program to celebrate the moment. Additionally, JoJo will be coming back to Slimefest at Blackpool Pleasure Beach later this year.

And 2019 will be the year of our eternally optimistic SpongeBob SquarePants, as he celebrates his 20th birthday! There will be a new TV series coming to Nicktoons along with a new CP range via master toy provider Alpha Toys – both ahead of the new SpongeBob movie in 2020.


Have you seen any major trends emerging over the course of 2018 in the preschool space? As a brand owner, how have you been able to react to those?

Our philosophy is ‘kids rule’ and ‘play’ is at the heart of the Nick brand. From our research, we know that kids learn how to grow up using play, and these insights guide everything we do form consumer products perspective. This year we have seen collectibles continue to perform strongly and evolve. For Shimmer and Shine we launched the Teenie Genies via Fisher-Price. The range comprises different themed genies inspired by the show. Retailers sold them at accessible price points, and the range is already a great success amongst its core fan base. We are now going far and wide with a product line featuring new accessories, such as a carry case and collector’s guide.

How important is BLE for you when it comes to showing your preschool brands?

BLE is attended by all the key European players in the industry across the retail and licensing business. It provides an excellent platform for Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products to share its plans for the next 24 months, as well as giving us the chance to introduce new properties to market.


What messages will you be looking to convey to licensees and potential licensees at the show?

We are keen to communicate that Viacom Nickelodeon is now one unified, global consumer products organization led by Pam Kaufman, President. As Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products we have a single voice at retail for ‘Every age, Every aisle, Everywhere around the world’. Nickelodeon is still the home of preschool. PAW Patrol, as Nickelodeon’s top rated show continues to be a major retail success for us.

Furthermore, we also have a wide range of new property launches, such as Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Top Wing. Each series in our pre-school portfolio offers something unique to audiences and is supported across the Nick Jr. team; not only those working on the consumer product side of our business, but all areas including, insights, programming, digital and marketing. We really are kids’ experts at Nickelodeon and our continued success in the market proves that.

How healthy do you think the preschool licensed sector is in general?

The preschool landscape has become more competitive with new properties launching every year. Sales have been affected across the market, but PAW Patrol remains the number one preschool licensed property. Digital has become more important for our properties, and it will be interesting to see how new preschool block on ITVbe will impact the preschool market.


How easy is it for new brands to break through at the moment?

It’s never easy launching a brand. New properties need to be innovative and brand owners need to think outside the box. We are fortunate that Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products has an agile cross discipline team to successfully nurture and bring new brands to market.

What would you most like to achieve for your preschool brands from this year’s show?

We are keen to ensure Nickelodeon remains the home of preschool and that BLE delivers us some exciting new partnerships and retail campaigns for our key properties.

Rebrands can signal lots of things for a company, but for Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products, which recently joined its kids’ entertainment business, Nickelodeon, with Viacom, the global media and lifestyle arm, it means opportunity.

“The rebrand was a deliberate move, unifying our varied consumer products markets into a single, global operation,” Marianne James, VP Commercial Partnerships, Products and Experiences at recently formed VNCP, tells LTW.Media.

The aim is to be more responsive, proactive and pioneering – goals that live or die by a team’s ability to move quickly and pool their talents.

“What the move has allowed us to is pull together all our expertise and deliver global programmes as opposed to working as separate units,” Marianne says. “Now we are a global team rather than separate but connected units we can go quicker. If something is working particularly well in one area of the business, we can now take that momentum and bring it across the business. On the other hand, if something is not working as well as we hoped, we can recognize that and react. Being a more connected and nimble consumer products organization gives us huge advantages over the structure we had in place in the past. It’s a very positive move for Viacom overall.”

In the UK, where Marianne is based, the market for Nickelodeon’s core pre-school and kids’ properties is a vibrant place. The team kick-started its biggest-ever events schedule this Easter with the Sime Time tour and heads to Blackpool later this month for Slimefest, an annual celebration of Nick brands, music and, of course, slime.


“Building on experiential is a big focus for us currently – not just this year but heading into the future,” reveals Marianne. “Consumer products is a very important part of the journey for the fans, and will remain a cornerstone of how we extend our brands, but to grow and bring our properties to a bigger audience we have to move beyond retail. Through events we build emotional connections, and that benefits the entire business.”

So will experiential brand building the foundation of every Nickelodeon property? Not necessarily, says Marianne.

“They require huge investment and they have to be authentic or they just don’t work. Fans will be the first to tell you when something doesn’t feel right, and we don’t want to let them down. Events need to be baked into the strategy and not opportunistic; the audience needs to be right and timing is everything.

“But for the right property at the right time, events are incredibly effective. But they are an evolution of a brand, the next step beyond consumer products and retail. We have been focused on building a framework for our events over the past few years which we can then bring our properties to. We are at that point now with many of our brands.”

Nickelodeon’s powerhouse pre-school business is a good starting point for this new expansion. PAW Patrol, the jewel in its pre-school crown, is at the vanguard of these new moves, and Marianne says this has been in the works for sometime.

“I think we’re really owning the pre-school space now – more than ever. That’s something we consciously set out to achieve – and we made a big statement with PAW Patrol. It still feels fresh, but the brand has actually been around for several years now and is moving beyond the exciting new kid on the block firmly into an evergreen property. That’s how we’re repositioning it.”

Not every brand has the staying power or the audience to make that move into evergreen status. Sometimes a show shines bright but burns out quickly; others simply fail to hit the mark. But Nickelodeon is no stranger to evergreen brands. Its surprise breakout star SpongeBob SquarePants – who would have guessed it turns 20 next year – has become a ubiquitous character in pop culture and is as popular with adults as it is with kids.

“SpongeBob is unlike anything else. He’s really taken on an almost ethereal quality – an iconic status for Nickelodeon as our spiritual figure head. He is very different to everything else that is down the aisle for kids – and that, I think, is the secret. He’s unique to Nickelodeon in that way, certainly, and I think he’s just a one off in general. There’s no other property out there you can turn to for comparison.”

PAW Patrol is following in SpongeBob’s footsteps.

“We have had lots of success with PAW Patrol in toys, alongside our partner Spin Master, and it’s a huge property across the core categories, so now we’re following new opportunities to bring the property in to fans’ lives beyond the toys and the show and the content they already love. It could be something as simple as the partnership we launched with Kellogg’s. Extending that connection to the brand into an every day part of life – eating breakfast – means they can enjoy a little moment with the PAW Patrol pups without necessarily playing with it.”

Now in its third year, Simmer and Shine has taken a different route to its success, and Marianne says it is a great example of how a different approach pays off for each brand.

“Shimmer and Shine has been growing at a nice pace. Not everything explodes onto the scene – and quite often the brands with the most impact and staying power grow their fanbase naturally and organically. That’s the approach we’ve taken with Shimmer and Shine top 10 in the doll category. It’s a wonderful example of a brand that grows steadily and organically over time – often the key ingredient to remaining in the market and building an audience.”

Beyond animation and traditional scripted series, Nickelodeon has been busy cultivating its own pool of talent to rival the influencer and YouTube community. JoJo Siwa has been at the forefront of this. The 15-year-old has had a dazzling career already and 7 million YouTube subscribers can’t be wrong. With millions of views every time she posts a video and a fanbase that singlehandedly revitalized the humble hair bow as the must-have accessory, in many ways she is the first example of a new type of media personality.


“In many ways she is one of the first of a new kind of entertainer – and entertainment property – and I’ll be the first to admit that when we first started working with her it was a real learning process,” says Marianne. “But JoJo has trailblazed the way for us in the influencer space. Yes, she had an incredible audience and amazing fans and is a genuine talent – but we had to ask ourselves how that fit with us and how could we add to that?”

The secret is simpler than you might think. “Behind the millions of subscribers and views, JoJo is a performer – she’s a real talent who can sing and dance and has what seems like limitless energy, particularly when it comes to her fans, the Siwanators,” says Marianne.

The starlet turns 16 next year and enters a new chapter in her life – and while JoJo isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, her success has given the team the confidence to bring in new influencers and talents “realistically within the next 18-24 months”.

This all loops back around into VNCP’s focus on experiences, and feeds into its live tours and new ways to engage fans away from screens and retail. “JoJo has always been at the heart of our Slimefest – and because she is a real talent, she can take to the stage alongside that biggest stars out there,” says Marianne.

The future is a bright and busy place for Nickelodeon, and that’s without mentioning Top Wing, an exciting new property that brings Hasbro on board with a full range of licensed toys in a global campaign of product roll out, marketing support and content.


Sunny Day, from the team at Silvergate Media, is another bright spot on the horizon, with Mattel and its Fisher-Price bringing an innovative toy range to market next S/S. And no mention of Nickelodeon would be complete without the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which has just returned to screens and the toy aisle with a refreshed, edgy visual overhaul for Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

“Everything we’re focusing on is to make VNCP the best place for entertainment and the best place for fans to interact their favourite characters and stories,” says Marianne. “At retail, beyond consumer products and in their every day lives.”

If the brand-new Henry Danger Halloween Special "Danger Things" wasn't awesome enough, Nickelodeon will be taking the special to a whole new level with the interactive "Danger-er Things" encore, airing Saturday, October 13 at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT), only on Nickelodeon USA!


During the "Danger-er Things" encore, fans can play-along using Nickelodeon's brand-new FREE Screens Up augmented-reality (AR) app, where they'll be able to take part in spooktacular quizzes, take fangtastic polls, and watch as Stranger Things literally pop out of their TV screens!

To take part, simply tune into Nickelodeon's "Danger-er Things" encore on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and open the app to play-along!

Viacom18, the home of Nickelodeon in India, as acquired the rights to the popular animated series The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That from Canadian production company Portfolio Entertainment!


For the first time in series television history, Dr. Seuss’ beloved Cat in the Hat leaps off the page and onto the TV screen in The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! Fueled by curiosity and imagination, the Cat leads best friends Nick and Sally on extraordinary adventures into the natural world. With the help of Thing One and Thing Two and their whimsically versatile Thinga-ma-jigger they’ll go anywhere from the bottom of the ocean to the centre of a beehive. The Cat in the Hat ‘knows a lot’ but he doesn’t know everything, making him the perfect guide to learning and fun.

The series (80 x 30') or (160 x 15') is produced by Collingwood & Co., Portfolio Entertainment, Random House Children's Entertainment, KQED and Corus Entertainment, and airs on PBS Kids in the USA and on Treehouse TV and CBC Kids in Canada.

It's currently unknown whether Viacom18 will air The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That on its kids' channels, Nickelodeon India, Nick Jr. India or Nickelodeon Sonic, or on its SVoD service, VOOT.

‘Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Surprise Fans At New York Comic Con 2018 | NYCC

The cast of Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles visited New York Comic Con 2018 last weekend and fans were treated to a sneak peek of an episode featuring TMNT voice legend Rob Paulsen, who reunites with his Pinky and the Brain co-star Maurice LaMarche! In the episode, “The Longest Fight,” Paulsen and LaMarche provid the voices of Foot Lieutenant and the Foot Brute.

Paulsen is the glue the sticks the TMNT TV franchise together having been a talent since the first animated series in 1980s and the 2012 series, and the voice director of the current one.

Rickey also had a chance to interview Brandon Mychal Smith who plays Mikey, Josh Brener who plays Donnie and co-executive producer Andy Suriano at NYCC 2018. Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles voice cast and co-executive producers gave fans at New York Comic Con a look at what’s in store for the Turtles and April O’Neil during a panel at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. Moderated by Mike Cecchini (Den of Geek), the panel featured voice actors Omar Miller as Raph, Josh Brener as Donnie, Brandon Mychal Smith as Mikey, and Kat Graham as April O’Neil, along with the co-executive producers Andy Suriano and Ant Ward, and legendary voice director Rob Paulsen. Special guest Maurice LaMarche (Pinky and the Brain) made an appearance to discuss his role as the Foot Brute.

The panel featured a sneak peek at the upcoming episode, “The Longest Fight,” where Paulsen and LaMarche reunited behind the mic as Foot Lieutenant, the de-facto leader of the Foot Clan, and Foot Brute, the Foot Lieutenant’s right hand man. Additional highlights included art and clip reveals from upcoming new episodes of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The series stars the voice talent of Omar Miller (Ballers) as Raph, a jagged-shelled snapping turtle; Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as Leo, a red-eared slider turtle; Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as Donnie, a soft-shell turtle; Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re The Worst) as Mikey, a box turtle; Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) as April O’Neil, a street savvy native New Yorker; Eric Bauza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Splinter, father figure and sensei to the Turtles; and WWE Superstar John Cena as the villainous, Baron Draxum.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premiered on Monday, Sept. 17, on Nickelodeon. New season one episodes will continue to air throughout 2018. The new 26-episode series is co-executive produced by Andy Suriano (character designer, Samurai Jack) and Ant Ward (supervising producer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) at Nickelodeon in Burbank. Veteran animation industry voice actor Rob Paulsen is voice directing the series.

Maisa Silva to Host Nickelodeon's Brasil's 'Meus Prêmios Nick 2018'

Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) has announced Brazilian singer, TV host and actor Maisa Silva as the host of Meus Prêmios Nick 2018, Nickelodeon's Brasil's 19th annual local version of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, which will take place at Citibank Hall in São Paulo on Wednesday 7th November 2018!


Meus Prêmios Nick is Brazil's largest children's and teen awards, and celebrates kids’ favourites from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and more! Like previous years, Meus Prêmios Nick 2018 will feature lots of musical performances, irreverence, orange blimps, jokes, social responsibility and, of course, slime!

Silva, 16, first burst onto TV screens when she started hosting the children's TV show Bom Dia & Cia when she was just 6 years old. Following Bom Dia & Cia, Silva became an accomplished actor by playing the role of Valéria Ferreira in the Carrossel franchise, including a telenovela and two movies. She also lent her vocal talents to hit animated movies, such as Masha and the Bear: The Movie, Ferdinand and Smurfs: The Lost Village, and is about to release the movie Tudo Por Um Pop Star.

Maisa has more than 4 million subscribers to its Youtube channel and is about to release the film 'All for a Pop Star'. The first hits on the big screen were 'Carousel - The Movie', 'Carousel 2: The Sumiço de Maria Joaquina', the animation 'Masha and the Bear: The Movie' and as a voice actor, 'BugiGangue no Espaço', 'Smurfs the Lost Village 'and' The Bull Ferdinando '.

Silva has more than 16 million followers on Instagram and 4 million subscribers to her YouTube Channel.

The young star also leads MPN 2018 with the most nominations, being nominated for: Artista de TV Favorito, Canal de YouTube Favorito, Instagram Favorito, and Ship Do Ano.

Skechers Celebrates 10th Pier to Pier Friendship Walk with $2 Million Fundraising Goal for Kids


Sugar Ray Leonard, Brooke Burke, Tommy Lasorda and More Celebrities to Gather in Support of Children with Special Needs and Education on October 28

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif.--The Skechers Foundation plans to break all donation and attendance records on October 28th at the organization’s 10th annual Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk, California’s largest in support of children with special needs and education. Backed by presenting sponsor Nickelodeon and media sponsor NBC4 Southern California, the Walk has topped donations every year since its inception, and is expected to continue its winning streak and surpass $2 million for the first time in the event’s history.

“This year’s event is going to be an incredible celebration – one that looks back on how we’ve raised more than $10 million for kids this past decade, and aims higher with even bigger goals for the next generation,” said Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers and the Skechers Foundation. “We started the Walk in 2009 to take action during a tough economy when state budgets were especially tight for our children – and thanks to the compassion of Nickelodeon, our sponsors and tens of thousands of passionate citizens, those kids are now motivated young adults who are making a difference.”

“At Nickelodeon we celebrate all kids, and all of the wonderful characteristics that make them unique, which is why we are proud to support the Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk and the important work this event will fund,” said Jennifer Tracy, Senior Vice President (SVP) of Partner Marketing at Nickelodeon Velocity.

The Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk is a primary contributor to The Friendship Foundation, an organization that assists children with special needs and their families through one-on-one peer mentoring and social recreational activities such as summer camps, outings to sporting events and a variety of classes that include music, yoga, cooking, art and drama. In addition to educating, inspiring and connecting children who have special needs with their community, the Walk also helps education foundations maintain and enhance their schools; improve technology, science labs and libraries; revamp music programs; reduce class sizes and protect teachers’ jobs. The Skechers Foundation’s scholarship program also awards $100,000 annually to exceptional students who have shown financial need and excellence in academics, athletics and leadership.

Since its inception, the Walk has grown from approximately 1,000 people in attendance who raised $220,000 in 2009 to more than 13,000 walkers and participants donating $1.8 million in 2017. The event has also amassed a team of loyal celebrities, including Sugar Ray Leonard and Brooke Burke who are returning for the fourth and eighth time, respectively, and sports legend Tommy Lasorda – a Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk board member who helped launch the event with Michael Greenberg and has attended every year since its inception.

“As great as our past Walks have been, our eye is on the future,” added Tommy Lasorda. “With more funds dedicated to children with special needs, our schools, and scholarships for our kids, we’re only going to reach higher and create more incredible success stories.”
