Arrrgh, Y’all! Kellie Pickler To Guest Star As Genie Pirate Zora On Nickelodeon's "Shimmer And Shine"

Forget her No. 1 country albums, Dancing with the Stars trophy and American Idol success - according to Kellie Pickler's 3-year-old niece, her aunt's most impressive accomplishment yet may be appearing on Shimmer and Shine!

"I have to tell you, I have a lot of street cred with my niece 'cause this is one of her favorite shows!" the singer, 30, said of Nickelodeon's hit animated preschool series about a little girl and her magical genie pals to People.


Pickler will play Zora, a genie pirate, in a two-episode story airing on Nick USA early next year. She will sing two original songs for the show.

The last time Pickler got animated - in 2014's Veggie Tales movie, "Beauty and the Beet" - she played a sweet potato ("the sweetest potato of them all," the singer pointed out). But this time around, her character - whom she says is "a tough chick and a free spirit" - hits a little closer to home.

"Zora and I are both adrenaline adventure junkies," says Pickler, who recently went skydiving with the Army's Golden Knights for an upcoming episode of her CMT reality series I Love Kellie Pickler.


"We're both always seeking the next crazy adventure," she adds. "Zora's a little spitfire. But she can be a little forgetful, a little absentminded at times - and we have that in common too."

Pickler says while she and her songwriter husband Kyle Jacobs have "no plans" for kids themselves, she's proud to be part of a show that children like her niece can enjoy.

"You have to be so careful not to contaminate their little minds," she says. "Once they hear something or see something, they can't un-hear it or un-see it!"

Nickelodeon USA Unveils NickMusic Channel Description And Logo

Viacom Media Networks has unveiled the official channel description and logo for Nickelodeon USA's upcoming music TV channel, NickMusic!:


"Curated by Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids, NickMusic is a brand-new music video destination for kids. The channel is where kids can discover new talent and music, and interact with the artists they love. NickMusic is a commercial-free zone, with no ads or sponsorships. From Top 40 hits to breakout artists and recurrent favorites--it’s all music, all the time."

Viacom Media Networks will launch NickMusic on Friday 9th September 2016. The channel will replace MTV channel MTV Hits.

The on-demand app is designed to promote discovery while allowing young users to connect to the content they already love. These include SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Fairly OddParents, Game Shakers, Henry Danger, ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks and more.


New content will be added to the app on a weekly basis, and the app requires a Wi-Fi or data connection to access**. Fraggle Rock - Saturday Morning Acapella

In their latest addition to their "Saturday Morning A Capella" playlist, YouTube channel Triforcefilms has unveiled an a capella version of the Fraggle Rock opening theme tune, "Down at Fraggle Rock"! "Dance your cares away" and press play on the super music video below!:

In the video clip, Mr. Dooves records himself singing and humming different parts (which you can see individually), while the theme song's familiar opening titles play in the centre of the screen. It's another of those videos you can watch multiple times, yet continue to notice new things!

Fraggle Rock (also known as Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock or Fraggle Rock with Jim Henson's Muppets) is a British/American/Canadian children's live action puppet television series created by Jim Henson that is about a society of Muppet creatures called Fraggles.

Fraggle Rock was co-produced by British television company Television South (TVS), the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, U.S. pay television service Home Box Office and Henson Associates. Unlike Sesame Street, which had been created for a single market and later adapted for international markets, Fraggle Rock was intended from the start to be an international production and the whole show was constructed with this in mind.

Fraggle Rock aired on Nickelodeon UK & Nick Jr. UK in the mid-1990s. The spin-off series, Doozers, currently airs on Nick Jr. Australia And New Zealand.

First Look At "Power Rangers Ninja Steel"; To Premiere On Nickelodeon USA In January 2017

Saban today unveiled a super-charged first-look of Power Rangers Ninja Steel, the 24th season of the popular Power Rangers franchise, in a special trailer shown during a panel at Power Morphicon 2016 in Pasadena, CA! During the panel, Saban also revealed that Nickelodeon USA will start to premiere and show Power Rangers Ninja Steel in January 2017!:

Saban's Power Rangers Ninja Steel starts deep in space, where Zircon is the reigning champion of the most popular intergalactic game show in the universe, and monsters battle to prove who is the mightiest warrior. Zircon is determined to become invincible by controlling the mythical Spirit Crystal, which contains six supernatural Ninja Power Throwing Stars. The only thing standing in his way is a new team of heroic teenage Power Rangers who possess the Spirit Crystal. The evil Zircon sends his warrior contestants down to Earth to steal the Crystal, where each epic battle against the Rangers is broadcast throughout the universe. Together, the Rangers must master their arsenal of Throwing Stars, Zords and Megazords, each made of legendary ninja steel, in order to stop this evil threat and save our planet from destruction. The series will be based on Shuriken Sentai Ninninger, Toei's 39th ninja-themed Super Sentai special effects series in Japan.

Power Rangers Dino Super Charge, the current season of Power Rangers, continues with brand-new episodes every Saturday at 12/11c only on Nickelodeon USA starting August 20th. PRDSC will also make its UK debut on POP on Monday 5th September 2016.

Nickelodeon Central And Eastern Europe To Premiere "Lost In The West" In September 2016

The Hungarian children's television news blog Gyerek-Világ is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon International news that Nickelodeon Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) will be premiering Lost in the West, Nickelodeon's brand-new three-part original TV movie, locally titled Vad kaland a Vadnyugaton, about two time-traveling stepbrothers who saddle up for a crazy Wild West adventure after they get transported back in time to 1885 when one of them accidentally invents a time machine, Sundays at 16.30 over three weeks in September 2016!


Nickelodeon Central and Eastern Europe will debut Lost in the West"Part 1" on Sunday 4th September 2016 at 16:30. Following the premiere of Lost in the West part one, Nick CEE will premiere Lost in the West"Part 2" on Sunday 11th September 2016 at 16:30. Nickelodeon Africa will then debut the concluding part of Nickelodeon's brand-new Wild West adventure, "Part 3", on Sunday 18th September 2016 at 16:30.

Saddle up for a Wild West adventure in Nickelodeon's all-new three-part original TV movie, Lost in the West! The film centres on polar opposite stepbrothers, Chip, an all-around tech genius who lacks self-confidence, and Dave, a charismatic ladies' man with more brawn than brains. Their otherwise ordinary lives take an extraordinary turn when Chip's latest invention accidently lands them back in time to 1885 - the Wild West - the age of cowboys, cattle ranching and evil outlaws. The duo soon become entangled in a thrilling adventure as they fight off evil outlaws to save their hometown. When their actions in the past have time-altering repercussions, Chip and Dave enlist the help of friends from both time periods, including Luna, Lisa and Texas Jane, so they can avoid changing the future and make it back to the present in time for their school's Homecoming Dance. The boys will need to master the ways of the west, from horse riding to lassoing, to find their way back home!

Lost in the West stars Caleb Thomas (Chase Champion, Modern Family) as Chip, Niko Guardado (Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn) as Dave, Fallon Smythe as Lisa and Morgan Higgins as Texas Jane, and features an appearance by House of Anubis star Alex Sawyer.



Lost in the West is produced by Galdo Media and directed by Carlos Gonzalez (Big Time Rush). The TV movie is written by Kevin M. Brennan and Doug Manley.

The Hungarian children's television news blog Gyerek-Világ is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon International news that Nickelodeon Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) will premiere the brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Tini Nindzsa Teknőcök) special "Trans-Dimensional Turtles", locally titled "Transzdimenziós Teknőcök", on Sunday 4th September 2016 at 18:10!


Worlds collide in "Trans-Dimensional Turtles," a brand-new episode of Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in which the Heroes in a Half Shell are transported to another dimension where they meet their '80s alternate-reality counterparts!


In "Trans-Dimensional Turtles" (#410), all eight Turtles must battle to eliminate both the '80s Krang and Kraang Sub-Prime. After meeting their '80s counterparts in a 2D-animation world, the entire clan moves back into a CG-animation dimension, giving their new retro friends a taste of their realm. Additionally, in another dimensional twist, the episode will offer a glimpse of the Turtles in a comic book world resembling Kevin Eastman's Mirage Studios comic book series!
