The animation news website Toon Zone is reporting the very exciting Nickelodeon UK News that Nickelodeon UK, the number one commercial kids TV network in the UK, has unveiled Nick Jr. UK and Ireland's Spring/Summer 2014 programming highlights!
As part of Nick Jr. UK's Spring/Summer 2014 schedules, Nickelodeon UK's preschool channel will be premiering a whole range of brand-new shows and all-new episodes of established shows. As previously reported, in addition to Nickelodeon's brand-new CG-animated preschool series "Zack & Quack", which debuted on Nick Jr. UK on Friday 7th February 2014, Nick Jr. UK will premiere the channels brand-new mixed media animated preschool series "Driftwood Bay"in May 2014.
"Driftwood Bay" (52 x 7 minute episodes) is a all-new preschool series about a little five-year-old girl named Lily (Orlagh O'Keefe from Belfast) who lives in a beach hut on the shore with her Dad (Richard Dormer). Everyday, the sea washes up a curious new treasure, which sparks Lily's imagination about what might be happening 'across the way on Driftwood Bay'. And so, with her best friend Gull - the clever seagull (Paul Currie), an adventure begins as they head off to Driftwood Bay – and its cast of colourful inhabitants. A stellar line-up of voice talent who will be joining forces and lending their voices to breathe life into the adorable characters of "Driftwood Bay" was recently announced, including Stephen Fry ("QI" ("Quite Interesting"), "The Hobbit", "Blackadder"), Peter Mullan ("Harry Potter", "Top of the Lake"), Tameka Empson ("EastEnders", "3 Non-Blondes"), Jane Horrocks ("Sunshine on Leith", "Absolutely Fabulous"), Ardal O'Hanlon ("Father Ted", "London Irish", "My Hero"), Annette Crosbie ("One Foot in the Grave", "Hope Springs") and Richard Dormer ("Game of Thrones", "Good Vibrations", "Fortitude").
Nick Jr. UK will also be premiering brand-new episodes of "Lalaloopsy", "Paw Patrol" and "Dinosaur Train" in March 2014, "Bubble Guppies" during April and May 2014 and "Team Umizoomi" in June 2014.
