The Nickelodeon UK fanblog NickUKHub is reporting the exciting Nick UK News that the online British and Irish TV guide Digiguide has announced that Nickelodeon UK and Ireland and Nickelodeon HD UK will start to premiere and show brand new episodes from the all-new second season of the Australian teen-oriented dance-themed television drama series "Dance Academy", including the brand new episodes "In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated" and "Dreamlife", every weekday at 6.00pm (repeated one hour later at 7:00pm on Nickelodeon UK's plus-one (+1) timeshift channel, Nick+1) from Monday 16th September 2013, as part of Nickelodeon UK's Autumn/Winter 2013 highlights!
In the season one finale episode of "Dance Academy", "Learning to Fly", the Academy's performance of the ballet "The Nutcracker" was quickly approaching, and Tara Webster (Xenia Goodwin) continued to practice for her dance solo in Act 2. However, Director Sebastian Karamakov (Peter O'Brien) warned her that if she did not improve her performance, he would put Abigail Armstrong (Dena Kaplan) in Tara's place. Tara's confidence increased when she discovered that her costume had been worn by many famous dancers in the past, but Abigail hid it to try and discourage her further. Meanwhile, Katrina Karamakov (Alicia Banit) left the Academy with Myles Kelly (Adam Saunders) to go on a road-trip around Australia, and Sammy Lieberman (Tom Green) tried to convince his father to continue letting him attend the Academy.
The brand new opening episode of series two, "In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated" sees Tara Webster reunited with her friends for a second year at the National Academy of Dance as she continues to pursue her dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer. Plus, there's excitement in the air as everyone discovers the news that they can compete in a prestigious ballet competition to determine the best young dancer in the world, the Prix de Fonteyn.
Then in "Dreamlife", Tara finds a new hero in Saskia Duncan, the youngest principal dancer in the dance company's history. Meanwhile, Abigail employs some underhand tactics in order to remove her talented rival Grace from the second year.
"Dance Academy" season two stars Xenia Goodwin as Tara Webster, Alicia Banit as Katrina "Kat" Karamakov, Dena Kaplan as Abigail Armstrong, Tom Green as Samuel "Sammy" Lieberman, Jordan Rodrigues as Christian Reed, Tim Pocock as Ethan Karamakov, Tara Morice as Lucinda Raine, Thomas Lacey as Benjamin Tickle, Isabel Durant as Grace Whitney, and Keiynan Lonsdale as Ollie Lloyd.
