Nickelodeon UK has announced the exciting Nick Jr. UK News that Nickelodeon UK and Ireland's preschool channel, Nick Jr. Channel UK and Ireland, will premiere and show brand new episodes of the German-Australian animated preschool series "Guess How Much I Love You – The Adventures of Little Nutbrown Hare", including the all-new episodes "Snowflake" and "Winter Coat", in September 2013 (air date and transmission (TX) time to be confirmed by Nick Jr. UK) as part of Nick Jr. UK's Autumn/Winter 2013 highlights!
Set in a timeless watercolour landscape of grassy fields, mossy forests, lazy rivers and sunny green valleys, Little Nutbrown Hare bounds through his days overseen by patient Big Nutbrown Hare who lovingly leads his son on his adventures of discovery. Often joined by fun-loving Little Field Mouse and mischievous Little Grey Squirrel, they might encounter tricky Little Redwood Fox or Little White Owl with her tall tales of mystery and magic.
In "Snowflake", a snowy winter's morning sees Little Nutbrown Hare and Little Field Mouse fascinated by the intricate patterns they find in the snowflakes. The friends try to take one to show Big Nutbrown Hare but they always melt before he sees them. Will they find a way to stop the lovely flakes from melting?
Then in "Winter Coat", when Little Nutbrown Hare discovers that he has grown a thick Winter coat, he and Little Field Mouse make a coat from moss to help other creatures in the meadow stay warm. They discover that everyone has their own ways of coping in the colder months so Big Nutbrown Hare uses the coat as a picnic rug on the snow, which means they can enjoy great a winter feast.
"Guess How Much I Love You – The Adventures of Little Nutbrown Hare" (52 x 11 minute episodes) is based on the bestselling picture book by Sam McBratney and published by the Walker Books Group, and features the love-themed seasonal adventures of Nutbrown Hare's family and their friends, in which the father and son attempt to measure how much they love each other.
Tim Patterson, VP and scheduling director at Nickelodeon UK, described the cartoon as "A beautiful interpretation of the popular book series, GUESS HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU – The Adventures of Little Nutbrown Hare, is a fantastic property that has a warmth and charm that we love. The success of the show in other territories is testament to the great work achieved by everyone involved and we look forward to working closely with SLR Productions and CCI to launch this beguiling property on Nick Jr."
