"When Nickelodeon asked me to be a part of the Legends of the Hidden Temple movie, I immediately went to the closet and pulled out my blue denim shirt, which has been protected by a powerful golden force field since 1995," said Fogg. "Legends is truly a legend, and I'm honored to be a part of it again. I'm sure the Ancient Olmec had something to do with this; that rock head is pretty sneaky."
Fogg was cast as the host of Nickelodeon's Legends of the Hidden Temple in 1993, completing 120 episodes of the award-winning series. Since Legends of the Hidden Temple, Fogg has appeared in over 300 commercials, and in 2006 he produced and directed his first feature film, Distortion.
The Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie follows three siblings who break away from a lackluster tour in a jungle, finding themselves immersed in a high-stakes adventure comprised of obstacles that they must complete in order to escape alive. The TV movie will feature elements from the original game show including: Olmec, a talking head who knows the secrets behind the temple; The Steps of Knowledge, the entrance to the temple and launching pad for the mission; and cameos from a green monkey, red jaguar, and silver snakes, among others.
Legends of the Hidden Temple is executive produced by Scott McAboy and Jessica Rhoades, and produced by Amy Sydorick. The TV movie is directed by Joe Menendez (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series) and written by Jonny Umansky & Zach Hyatt, and Alex Reid.

To celebrate Kirk Fogg joining the cast of Nickelodeon's brand-new Legends of the Hidden Temple action-adventure TV movie, Kirk recently chatted to E! News about his return to the series, and revealed some secrets you never knew about the original series, which ran from 1993-95!
Just some of the secrets Fogg served up?
-They filmed FIVE shows a day. "It was an intensely difficult show to do," Fogg admitted, as six teams of two would start off each day. So that was roughly 60 contestants per day attempting to best round one aka The Moat.
-If a team made it to the final Temple run, it was usually at the end of a 14-hour day of filming. "They had had pizza," Fogg said. "They were all completely delirious."
-While one contestant fell out of the Temple once, another "actually dropped the Shrine of the Silver Monkey off the edge," the host/guide revealed.
-Oh, and one contestant actually vomited during her final run. "She was completely exhausted and then she threw up into the pit of despair." (Ew.)
-Over the span of three years and 120-episodes, the show had just eight winners a year, Fogg estimated.
