Every character actually plays the instrument that their character plays!
"We learn each instrument. Every instrument on the show is played by the characters...and we learn each song chord by chord note by note and actually play them on the show," he said.
The cast loves eating donuts!
"We all usually pig out on donuts. It's kind of everybody's secret snack," Tony revealed.

It's just as fun to shoot the show as it is to watch.
"[The vibe on set] is like a party. I mean, literally it's like every day, I drive into work and I'm literally saying to myself, 'I'm living the dream. This is amazing'," he told J-14!
Tony keeps Double Bubble gum in his desk drawer on set.
"I always have Double Bubble in my desk drawer. It's my favorite thing to snack on, even though [the flavor] lasts five seconds, max," he joked.
Tony confessed that he sometimes annoys his castmates by...farting!
"I may or may not secretly toot in gatherings, in close quarters, and the kids don't very much appreciate that. But hey, man, sometimes you've got to give them a little sneak attack, keep them on their toes," he spilled.

To celebrate the premiere of Nick's all-new series, J-14 recently sat down with Tony Cavalero, who plays Dewey Finn on the show, and he spilled all about working on the series, including what it's like working on the TV interpretation of the classic film, and he shared everything from the cast's go-to snack to the secret thing he keeps in his desk drawer on set!:Every character actually plays the instrument that their character plays!
