Today during a talk at GDC 2016, Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney revealed that Nickelodeon has partnered with Epic Games to make a brand-new animated series in realtime using Unreal Engine 4, a powerful suite of integrated tools for game developers to design and build games, simulations, and visualizations!
The short teaser showcased during Epic Games' GDC talk starred a Mega Man-style anime character rushing through a futuristic environment fighting off swarms of chasing drones. Epic, however, did not reveal the show title of the all-new Nick show.
The Unreal Engine 4 is flying high, with 1.5 million new users adopting the toolset since its announcement last year that licensing the engine is free for all designers. The software is currently being expanded to be used into new industries.
