To celebrate 25 Years of Nicktoons, Nickelodeon has teamed up with Tongal.com to launch a brand-new contest in which one lucky fan could win $60,000 by showing Nick and Tongal what Nicktoons means to them!
Since 1991, Nickelodeon has produced some of the most memorable, inventive, and kid-inspired animated shows in the history of television. You know them as Nicktoons.
In 2016, Nickelodeon will celebrate 25 years of Nicktoons (YAY!), as well as the creators who brought to life their legendary shows, and of course, their legion of passionate fans throughout the world – YOU!
Think you might fit into this category? Do you remember the very first original Nicktoons – "The Ren and Stimpy Show" and "Rugrats"?! Do you know who lives in a Pineapple under the sea? Do you still smell pizza when you hear the word "Cowabunga!"? Are you currently obsessed with "Pig Goat Banana Cricket"?
For the past 25 years, Nicktoons has created meaningful, inspired and artistically adventurous animation for kids, and in 25 years from now, Gen Z will more than likely be talking about today's collection of Nicktoons with the same passion.
Because Nickelodeon knows there are certain theme songs, characters, worlds and stories that stay with you forever, they want to hear from YOU - the fans, the creators, those who grew up with Nicktoons and still have a deep adoration for the classics - and from the current kid audience today!
The goal of this project is for fans to create fun and shareable videos, up to 120-seconds in length, that celebrates Nicktoons and what they mean to them. Tell Nickelodeon and Tongal.com your favorite Nicktoons memories, share how current Nicktoons have an impact on you today, or go wild and make a super-creative fan-art project that's an homage to your favorite Nicktoon!
Nickelodeon is open to seeing live action, animation, stop-motion animation, docu-style, mixed-media, parody videos, musical interpretations, video listicles, and just about any way you want to bring your Story to life in the most creative way.
So, tap into your inner-child. Think creatively about how you can craft a video that celebrates everything you love about Nicktoons. Perhaps a certain Nicktoon has inspired your career, your style, your love life? Share your story!
Although you will not be able to use any original media from these shows, Nick invites you to create your own renditions/versions of the characters, settings and props from the properties mentioned below. Remember, your video is going to be seen by the team at Nick who were responsible for creating some of your favorite shows!!

Nickelodeon was the first kid's network. It was a network created just for kids, that tells stories from a kid POV. Kids often call Nickelodeon their "best friend" because they connect with them through comedy, rebelliousness, inventiveness and heart. Nick embodies the spirit of being a kid and thinking like a kid, one of many reasons why it remains the #1 network for kids.
Nickelodeon is immensely proud of their animation history, and for 25 years they have proven time and again that they are a creator-driven home for artists, with a passion for original, kid-inspired thinking.
Throughout 2016 Nick will celebrate 25 years of Nicktoons, culminating with the opening of the new Nickelodeon Studios in Burbank!
