The fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry news magazine The Grocer is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products news that the classic British brand Loseley Ice Cream has announced the company has signed a licensing agreement with Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products UK (NVCP UK) to produce a brand new range of push-up lollies featuring television characters from two of Nickelodeon's most popular properties - "SpongeBob SquarePants" and "Dora the Explorer". Although a debut date for when Loseley's new "SpongeBob SquarePants" and "Dora the Explorer" push-up lollies is still to be announced, it is expected each unit will come with a Recommended Selling Price (RSP) of £1.
Additionally, Loseley is also extending its Nickelodeon partnership with a new range of "SpongeBob SquarePants" 110ml ice cream tubs. The company will launch strawberry and chocolate flavour variants following strong sales of the original vanilla pot launched earlier this year (2013). Each 110ml tub comes with a spoon in the lid and is 95% fat free. Made with fresh milk, the product is free from artificial additives, preservatives and colourings. Tubs are available in cases of 24 with an RRP of £1.20 per unit.
"It is set to be far and away one of our most successful launches," said Andrew Howard, Managing Director (MD) of Beechdean, the parent brand of Loseley, adding that he was hoping to treble the size of the business over the next four years.
