Nickelodeon has announced the winners of "Together For Good" 2015!
Nickelodeon's "Together For Good" is a pro-social campaign supported by child rights organisation Plan International which engages, celebrates and awards inspiring children all around the world who are making a big difference in their communities.
Change Makers
Children around the world have been motivated by the stories of others who are already making a change in their communities since the campaign kicked off in July. As a result, children have been engaging in activities and challenges to make an impact – big or small.
In August, children aged 6 to 17 years were invited to visit good.nickelodeon.tv to upload photos and videos of themselves making a difference in their communities.
Submissions poured in from around the world and a panel from Nickelodeon International and Plan International selected four finalists from each region which kids around the globe could vote for during September 2015.
Each winner will be featured and celebrated on their regional Nickelodeon channel. They will also qualify for the chance to win the ultimate prize, an all-expense-paid trip to the USA to attend a exclusive Nickelodeon event, such as the Nickelodeon HALO Awards 2015, as a VIP guest!
The Together For Good campaign is Nickelodeon International's new initiative to empower children to make positive changes in the world around them.
Together For Good serves as Nickelodeon's international platform to inspire its audiences to get involved in their communities, provide the resources and education to get the job done and celebrate the impact they're making to the world every day.

Project: "Kid to Kid" - The "Kid to Kid" project was founded by me to improve English speaking skills of children in developing countries. This is accomplished by connecting native English-speaking children to underprivileged children who are in need of improving their English skills. Lessons are ministered via Internet. At the moment, we are teaching a small number of children in Brazil, more specifically in the outskirts of Sao Paulo. Only 5% of Brazilians speak English fluently and private lessons are expensive and only accessible to a minority of the population (approximately 60% of families in Brazil survive on a minimum wage). Our project therefore aims to fill that gap, by providing kids of an underprivileged background the opportunity to learn and further develop their skills. As we recruit more volunteers, we will start expanding this project into more communities in Brazil and then, at a later stage, to other developing countries.

Project: Agang Sechaba - Agang Sechaba is a community development project that my mom and I have been involved in. My mom and I also do our own community help. At Agang Sechaba the children ask for clothes and food. Then my mom and I help them by bringing what they asked for, but just for something special we provide their caretakers money for the children's education. We also go out and we search for beggars on the streets; we do this quite often in winter but we go around different areas and provide them with hot chocolate, a blanket, food, and a pillow. At school it took me 4 months to raise R300,000 on my own by selling bracelets that I made. I used my pocket money to buy the supplies and I gave the money to a student who was about to graduate but didn't have enough money. I then supplied her with money. She managed to graduate and became an architect. Agang Sechaba was also involved with helping me raise money by spreading the word. Sometimes after school I would go to the orphanages and play with the children to keep them company. I raise funds for the underprivileged chidren I sell bracelets. I also as mentioned fundraise for people who can't graduate because they don't have enough money. I don't only sell bracelets; I have neighborhood jobs I have to attend to after school or even on weekends. I dog walk, I do chores at home, I clean litter at the park, and I earn money and with that money I help out.I may only be 11 but I definitely can make a difference in my country.
