The Burbank Community YMCA recently named Nickelodeon Animation Studios as their 2015 New Community Partner! The Nickelodeon Animation Studio hosted two of last year's YMCA events — a celebration of the Y's 90th anniversary and a three-day "hackathon", in which participants created mobile apps.
The Burbank Arts for All Foundation also recently honored the Nickelodeon Animation Studio with a award for their exemplary commitment and stewardship of arts education for local public schools! Nickelodeon Animation Studio's human resources manager picked up the award on behalf of the studio at a prestigious "Party on the Plaza" gala fundraiser. Nickelodeon was also awarded the The Patron of the Arts Award, presented to local businesses or corporations whose support has made a significant impact on the foundation's mission, at the event for its generous support of the foundation since 2010!
The latest issue of Oni Press's "Invader Zim" comic book series is out now! Issue 3 was written by Eric Trueheart, drawn by Aaron Alexovich, inked by Megan Lawton, colored by Rikki Simons and Jenny Goldberg while Jhonen Vasquez sat back, played "Arkham Knight" and occasionally checked his email for updates on how the book was going and grunted.
