Nickelodeon USA will premiere debut the fifth season of the network's beloved CG-animated preschool series Bubble Guppies on Friday, September 27, 2019! Following launch, new episodes of Bubble Guppies season 5 will air regularly on Nickelodeon.
Bubble Guppies is a CG-animated series featuring a group of diverse preschoolers with colorful fish tails - Goby, Oona, Molly, Nonny, Deema, Gil - along with Mr Grouper, who go on adventures discovering their world. The Emmy Award-winning series, created by Robert Scull and Jonny Belt (Butterbean’s Café), is set to a soundtrack of catchy, educational pop songs and features a curriculum that infuses the core elements of kindergarten readiness including: math, literacy, the arts, science and socio-emotional development.
The season five premiere episode of Bubble Guppies, "The New Guppy!" will introduce brand-new guppy Zooli, a spunky and smart student, animal expert and fin-tastic friend to the guppies' school class. Together, the guppies will dance, sing, play and learn valuable lessons as they embark on all-new underwater adventures.
Bubble Guppies will have 26 half-hour episodes. The series was renewed for a fifth season earlier this year, along with new seasons of PAW Patrol (season seven), Butterbean’s Café (season two) and Abby Hatcher (season two), as part of the network's new content slate and ever-expanding powerful preschool portfolio.
"The New Guppy!" will be the first new episode of Bubble Guppies since the show's season four finale, "Trick-or-Treat, Mr. Grumpfish!" on Friday, October 21, 2016.
Bubble Guppies season five will premiere as part of Nick Jr. on Nickelodeon Fall 2019 programming highlights, which also includes the debuts of Blue's Clues & You! and Ricky Zoom and brand-new episodes and specials of hit Nick Jr. shows, including Ryan's Mystery Playdate (season two).
Online at nickjr.com and the Nick Jr. App, fans can find out more about the series, watch videos and full-length episodes, and play games inspired by the hit preschool series.
