Brittany Ishibashi To Play Karai In "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2"

The entertainment industry news website Deadline Hollywood is reporting the Turtley Awesome news that Brittany Ishibashi has been cast to play Karai, daughter of the iconic villain Shredder (Brian Tee) in Nickelodeon Movies, Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes'"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2", a sequel to Nick and Paramount's 2014 fun-filled and action-packed blockbuster "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie!


Briefly played by Minae Noji in the 2014 film, the character is one of the leaders of the legendary Foot Clan in the source material and in the original comics outranked the Shredder. In other versions of the series, the character is the adoptive daughter of the turtles' sworn enemy; however, she sometimes served as an ally for the heroes.

Ishibashi's recent credits include "Grace And Frankie", "Bones" and "Emily Owens, M.D.", along with the features "Everything Before Us" and "The Harvesting". She is repped by Innovative Artists, Kyle Fritz Management and Jackoway Tyerman.

Brittany joins Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Stephen Amell, Tyler Perry, Brian Tee, Laura Linney, Brian Tee and Gary Anthony Williams in Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures' sequel directed by David Green from a script by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec. Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are producing. The film is currently filming, and is set for release June 3, 2016. Williams has also appeared in "The Internship", "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" and "The Factory". He's repped by APA, Jordan Tilzer at Roar, and Ginsburg Daniels LLP.
