To celebrate "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2", the sequel to Nickelodeon Movies, Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes' 2014 fun-filled and action-packed blockbuster "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie, starting production soon, Michael Bay, the producer of both "TMNT" movies, has unveiled three fantastic photographs of two of the vehicles that'll be appearing in the film!
That garbage truck, above, is the Ninja Turtles'"Battlewagon", first seen at the end of the last movie. The name – "Tartaruga Brothers"– is a pun, as "tartaruga" is "turtle" in Italian ("Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is called "Tartarughe Ninja" in Italy). The sports car, below, is a Polaris slingshot, a three-wheeled motorcycle already illegal in Texas, where it isn't street legal as a car and doesn't meet the state's definition of a motorcycle.
It's currently only assumed that the Polaris is intended for "TMNT 2", as it could also be something a vehicle appearing in Bay's other big franchise, though that still-untitled film, due sometime in 2017, doesn't go into production for a while longer yet.
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" is due to go into production in New York very, very soon.
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2", from Platinum Dunes and Nickelodeon Movies, is scheduled for release June 3, 2016. Megan Fox, William Fichtner, and all four of the actors portraying the turtles are returning. Joining them are "Arrow" actor Stephen Amell as the comic series' hockey-masked vigilante Casey Jones, and Tyler Perry as evil scientist Baxter Stockman. The movie will also feature fan-favorites Bebop and Rocksteady. Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec are returning to produce and write the script. Dave Green is directing. Paramount is distributing.
