Copyright Promotions Licensing Group has announced that Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) has appointed Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG) as its new consumer products agent in Nordics and Central & Eastern Europe. From Wednesday 1st July 2015 CPLG will represent NVCP's business in the Nordics and CEE (incorporating the Baltics, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria & Romania) replacing current agency Plus Licens.
This move follows on from the strategic decision to align NVCP's business to one strategic local partner across Benelux, Nordics and CEE. CPLG is already the local licensing partner for NVCP in Benelux, and has recently opened offices in Stockholm, Sweden and Warsaw, Poland.
Mark Kingston, SVP & GM, EMEA, Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) stated: "We have enjoyed a long and successful partnership with Plus Licens for the last ten years, and we want to thank them for their great work and support. We now look forward to expanding the existing successful strategic partnership, that was established in Benelux 15 years ago with CPLG into new territories, to grow our existing licensee base, forge new deals and expand our brands presence."
Maarten Weck, MD of CPLG Benelux, C.E.E. & Nordics, continues: "The relationship we have built over the past 15 years in the Benelux has been a success. We are extremely excited to extend our relationship with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN). Their strong portfolio, innovative and professional approach to the business and their top-notch team make this an extremely compelling opportunity. We look forward building their presence in the Nordic and CEE markets to further maximize the power of their brand portfolio.. We will focus on broadening the licensee base, and driving marketing opportunities for their retail presence."
CPLG will focus on expanding NVCP's existing business in the market and securing new deals with non-traditional licensees, offering a complete 360 solution to key retail channels, FMCG and service sector clients.
NVCP has launched a number of properties in Nordics and CEE to date including "SpongeBob SquarePants", "Dora the Explorer", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", "Go, Diego, Go!" and the MTV brand. New Nickelodeon properties to launch in 2015 include "Paw Patrol" and "Dora and Friends".
