The entertainment news website C21Media and the licensing news website License! Global are reporting the exciting news that Viacom International Media Networks–The Americas has announced that they have sold the broadcast rights to Nickelodeon's hit spell-binding fantasy television series "Every Witch Way" to a number of Latin American broadcasters!
Televisa (Mexico), TV Globo (Brazil), Telenica (Nicaragua) and Teleamazonas (Ecuador) have all picked up the show.
"Every Witch Way", Nickelodeon Latin America's first English-language production for international distribution and now in its third season, has also been licensed to YTV for English-speaking Canada, and is slated to premiere in Europe and Asia. "Every Witch Way" is based on Nick LatAm's popular telenovela "Grachi".
Meanwhile, MTV Latin America's "Acapulco Shore" has been picked up by undisclosed broadcasters in Brazil, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain which will debut the show in 2015.
"With both franchises delivering colorful personalities and entertaining storylines, we knew we had great content on our hands that could potentially engage broader audiences beyond Spanish-speaking Latin America," says Pierluigi Gazzolo, president, VIMN Americas, and executive vice president, Nickelodeon International. "As we produce more original telenovelas and unscripted content, we're confident our bold creative will continue to deliver multi-market appeal."
VIMN The Americas announced the deals at NATPE 2015 in Miami, Florida.
