Nickelodeon is preparing for the return of The Midnight Society with the all-new Are You Afraid of the Dark? three-part limited series event. Based on the ‘90s kids’ cult classic, and reimagined for a new generation, part one of Are You Afraid of the Dark? will debut on Friday, Oct. 11, at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT), with parts two and three to follow Oct. 18, and Oct. 25, respectively.

Across the three hour-long episodes, Are You Afraid of the Dark? will follow members of an entirely new Midnight Society, who tell a terrifying tale of the Carnival of Doom and its evil ringmaster Mr. Tophat, only to witness the shocking story come frightfully to life. In the just-released trailer, viewers meet the new members of the Midnight Society, get a glimpse at the uncertainty that awaits and prepare for an adventure beyond their wildest nightmares.

The new members of the Midnight Society are: Rachel, played by Lyliana Wray (Top Gun: Maverick); Gavin, played by Sam Ashe Arnold (Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever.); Akiko, played by Miya Cech (Rim of the World, Always Be My Maybe); Graham, played by Jeremy Taylor (IT: Chapter Two, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween); and Louise, played by Tamara Smart (Artemis Fowl, The Worst Witch). The Carnival of Doom’s ringmaster, Mr. Tophat, is played by Rafael Casal (Blindspotting).

Are You Afraid of the Dark? is produced by ACE Entertainment (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Perfect Date) with ACE founder Matt Kaplan and Spencer Berman serving as executive producers. The series is written by BenDavid Grabinski (Skiptrace, Happily) and directed by Dean Israelite (Power Rangers movie, Project Almanac), both of whom are also executive producers. Chris Foss is also an executive producer.

One of the Nickelodeon’s most iconic series from the ‘90s, the original Are You Afraid of the Dark? delivered riveting stories of horror to young audiences, all from a kid’s perspective. Are You Afraid of the Dark? is owned by DHX and was created by D.J. MacHale and Ned Kandel, who are also executive producers on the project.

'Henry Danger The Musical' to Make "Note"-Worthy Debut on Nickelodeon Latin America and Nick Brazil on Saturday 19th October 2019

Kid Danger (Jace Norman) and Captain Man (Cooper Barnes) will face their biggest challenge ever in Nickelodeon’s hour-long episode, Henry Danger The Musical, premiering Saturday 19th October 2019 on Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) and Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil)!


The special, which features 26 original Broadway-style songs, marks the return of the villainous Frankini (Frankie Grande) who puts a musical curse over the town of Swellview, while Kid Danger and Captain Man are forced to find a way to stop him.

Henry Danger The Musical will air at 19:00 on Nickelodeon México and at 18:00 on Nickelodeon Brasil. Transmission times for Nickelodeon Argentina, Nickelodeon Colombia, Nickelodeon Venezuela and Nickelodeon Chile will be announced shortly.

In the special, Henry Hart awakens one morning to alarming news—that persistent pest Frankini has placed a musical curse over Swellview. The entire town quickly tires of being forced to sing a variety of musical numbers and to even dance like they are in a chorus line. When Captain Man and Kid Danger discover that they cannot punch and kick their way out of this problem, they are forced to bring in an unlikely ally to help them fight Frankini on his own turf--by taking him on in an epic, live-streamed sing battle to end the curse once and for all.

The Henry Danger The Musical album, featuring 16 original songs from the episode, is available for purchase on iTunes, and streaming on Spotify Apple Music and more. The album is distributed by AWAL/Kobalt.

Henry Danger The Musical is written by Samantha Martin, who also serves as co-producer. Christopher J. Nowak serves as showrunner and executive producer. Jake Farrow is executive producer. Henry Danger is created by Dan Schneider and Dana Olsen.

The special made it's world premiere on Nickelodeon USA on Saturday, July 27, 2019, and is currently rolling out onto Nickelodeon channels globally.

The Nickelodeon-themed indoor family entertainment centre from Nickelodeon and Parques Reunidos will provide pure entertainment for kids and families. Inside Nickelodeon’s Subscription Gaming Strategy

The kids broadcaster has a unique take on using subscription services versus driving people to its proprietary apps.

It’s strange that in 2019 we’re not all playing games on headsets or via a microchip embedded in our brains, like so many movies made us all believe would happen.



Actually, gaming in general has progressed a lot more slowly than everyone in the '80s thought it would. (Marty McFly, we're looking at you.) That’s not to say that developers haven’t tried—just think of 2013′s Google Glass, and how the technology company claimed that everyone would be walking around with goggles within a decade. Or look at Virtual Reality (VR), which continues to fight for relevance with the masses, even as its adoption remains niche.

To entice users away from the cotton candy of gaming (sugary, sweet, not a lot of substance) Google created Stadia, a subscription-based cloud gaming service. The 4K-streaming paltform will launch in November, the tech giant says.

Microsoft, meanwhile, is diving into the interactive and eSports space with Mixer, a video game live-streaming site. It recently lured the internet’s most-watched streamer, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, away from Amazon’s Twitch, where he was the first (and only) star to hit 10 million followers.

Not to be left behind, Apple—arguably the primary purveyor behind the free-to-play movement—is rolling out Apple Arcade in fall 2019. The aim of the service, which will launch in 150 countries, is to bring ad-free subscription gaming to the casual user and meet them where they’re already playing with exclusive original titles from the likes of LEGO, Cartoon Network and Disney.

But with all of these new pathways opening up, no one is quite clear yet what will take off, particularly with kids. So companies, such as Nickelodeon, are putting their eggs in different baskets to see what approach draws young players in and expands their brands to keep ahead of the competition.

This week, Kidscreen has been looking at different company’s video game strategies, including Cartoon Network’s virtual reality plans and Aardman’s way of blending story and gaming. Now, Kidscreen are looking at why Nickelodeon is betting on subscription gaming.

There’s a subscription in my boot


Nickelodeon prefers to put its existing titles on third party subscription platforms.

Nickelodeon is seeing a way forward for gaming by betting on subscription services, after it saw how the model took off in music (Spotify and Apple Music), and content (Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu).

“Games are that natural next frontier,” says Francis Dahl, director of international games and apps at Nickelodeon. “I think all of these different avenues offering kids access to games is great. It provides more opportunities for people to play.”

Nickelodeon’s strategy is a cautious one: It’s testing third-party subscription services such as GlobalFun (available to more than two billion Android users in 120-plus countries) with pre-existing titles such as SpongeBob SquarePants: Bubble Party (pictured), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Brothers Unite and Sky Whale. And Dahl will take a similar approach to Stadia and Apple Arcade. Instead of building out originals for third parties, Nick will dedicate resources to its standalone and Nickelodeon-branded apps (such as Nick Play or Noggin).

That’s not to say this will always be the case—the benefit of ad-free subscription models is too great to ignore.

“The problem for kids is that a lot of free-to-play games are designed in a way that continually asks users to pay for more content,” says Dahl. “But with subscription services, you don’t need to build games around constantly trying to monetize [the game]. If there’s no in-game transactional downloads, it creates a better experience for kids.”

Nickelodeon will also be delving into VR and AR (Augmented Reality) with Meet the Voxels (working title), an original TV, virtual reality and augmented reality series conceived by Chris Young, Senior Vice President of Nickelodeon’s Entertainment Lab. The animated sitcom, created in a game engine, marks a first for Nickelodeon in its use of cutting-edge virtual cinema technology, including real-time full body and facial performance capture, bringing an innovative approach to immersive storytelling.

Nickelodeon Africa are also developing NickX, a kid-focused competitive gaming eSports platform, with Emerge Gaming Limited (ArcadeX).

Meanwhile, in Asia, Nickelodeon is on the verge of launching Nickelodeon Pixel Town, a brand-new game app featuring a variety of Nickelodeon properties, in partnership with goGame.

And in the U.K., Nickelodeon has just launched its Living Loud: The Surprise Party, it's multiplayer digital game inspired by Nicktoons' hit animated series The Loud House.

Nickelodeon USA to Move 'Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Premieres to Nicktoons From Saturday, October 12, 2019

Following a couple of weeks of speculation whether Nickelodeon USA would be moving Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premieres to Nicktoons, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, the Director, Current Series and Development at Nickelodeon Animation has confirmed that Nickelodeon will be premiering the remaining episodes of Rise of the TMNT Saturday nights at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT) from Saturday, October 12, 2019. Vasquez-Eberhardt also revealed that Nickelodeon will be debuting Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles season two later this year.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a 2D-animated series which follows the band of brothers as they discover new powers and encounter a mystical world they never knew existed beneath the streets of New York City. The series premiered on Monday 17th September 2018. A second season was commissioned before the show premiered.


Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reimagines the characters in a fresh new way, featuring jagged-shelled Raphael as a snapping turtle, wielding twin tonfas as his weapons; Leonardo as a red-eared slider, using an ōdachi sword; Donatello as a soft-shell turtle, sporting a tech-bo staff; and Michelangelo as a box turtle, arming himself with a kusari-fundo. Along for the adventure is the Turtles’ most trusted ally, April O’Neil, a street savvy native New Yorker and Splinter, father figure and sensei to the Turtles.

The series stars the voice talent of Omar Miller (Ballers) as Raphael, Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as Leonardo, Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as Donatello, Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re The Worst) as Michelangelo, Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) as April O’Neil and Eric Bauza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Splinter. WWE Superstar John Cena lends his voice as villain, Baron Draxum, an alchemist warrior mutant who seeks to turn all of humanity into mutants.

Nights Of The Jack, a Halloween jack o' lantern experience at King Gillette Ranch in the heart of Calabasas, California has announced the fangtastic news that they are partnering with Nickelodeon to host installations inspired by beloved series SpongeBob SquarePants and Are You Afraid of the Dark?, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the network's iconic animated series and the revival of the network's beloved horror anthology series!


Nights Of The Jack is more than your traditional Halloween attraction. Vast grounds of intricately hand-carved and illuminated pumpkins welcome visitors as they make their way through the half-mile trail around the ranch.

This year, in partnership with Nickelodeon, the event will feature a special SpongeBob SquarePants installation, which brings to life fan-favorite SpongeBob characters and iconic Bikini Bottom places through an illuminated pumpkin display, as well as an Are You Afraid of the Dark? pre-show tent space to include twisted surprises, along with an interactive augmented reality experience.

The grounds will also feature a live pumpkin carver, gift shop, food trucks from some of Los Angeles’ most popular dining destinations, "The Spookeasy Bar" @ Nights of the Jack, which will serve traditional alcoholic beverages as well as specially crafted Halloween cocktails, and tons of other “Instagrammable” moments for all to enjoy!

"Angelenos will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a Halloween wonderland, filled with thousands of hand-carved Jack O’Lanterns at this ranch, which is steeped in history.

"Legend has it that in 1824, at the top of the Calabasas grade on the original El Camino Real, a rancher from Oxnard spilled a wagonload of pumpkins while en route to Los Angeles. Sometime later, hundreds of pumpkin seeds sprouted alongside the road. As a result of the surprising event, the area was dubbed Las Calabasas—'the place where the pumpkins fell.'

'SpongeBob SquarePants' Bikini Bottom Recreated In Amazing Pumpkin Display


Forget a pineapple under the sea ... because right now it's all about the pumpkins!

Nickelodeon's "SpongeBob SquarePants" was just given the Halloween treatment by some skilled artists who recreated the famous city of Bikini Bottom with jack-o'-lanterns.


The exhibit is being featured at Nights of the Jack in Calabasas, CA.

Visitors to the event get to enjoy an interactive Halloween experience featuring intricately hand-carved and illuminated pumpkins spread throughout the sprawling King Gillette Ranch.

The half-mile trail features dinosaurs, sea life, and famous movie monsters, but the biggest attraction this year is definitely the SpongeBob scene.


Nights of the Jack teamed up with Nickelodeon and recreated the iconic Bikini Bottom, which even features the Krusty Krab ... with Mr. Krabs nearby keeping watch over his beloved Krabby Patty recipe while Plankton works on his latest evil plan.


Even Squidward got into the Halloween spirit, and can be seen near his tiki home.



SpongeBob's pet snail, Gary, is featured alongside Sandy the squirrel, who is fully clad in her diving suit.


A trip to Bikini Bottom wouldn't be complete without paying a visit to Patrick Star, and he can be seen jumping for joy among a giant cluster of pumpkins.


Are You Afraid of the Dark?


"SpongeBob SquarePants" isn't the only Nickelodeon show being celebrated at Nights of the Jack, as the classic horror show, "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" was also brought to life.

To celebrate the upcoming movie, Nickelodeon put together a spooky tent filled with "twisted surprises," and an interactive experience to make guests an official member of The Midnight Society.

Nights of the Jack runs from October 3 - November 3.

Nickelodeon Benelux to Premiere 'Niko and the Sword of Light' on Sunday 20th October 2019

Nickelodeon Benelux has acquired the rights to Niko and the Sword of Light, and will premiere the Amazon Studio's popular original animated series on Nickelodeon Netherlands (Nederland) on Sunday 20th October 2019 at 18:00 uur! Although currently unconfirmed, it is thought that the series will also launch on Nickelodeon Flanders and Nickelodeon Wallonia around the same time.


Niko and the Sword of Light follows 10-year-old Niko, the last of his kind in a strange, fantastical world, as he embarks on an epic quest to defeat the darkness and bring the light back to his land. Armed with his magic sword, brave Niko journeys to the Cursed Volcano, making new friends and powerful foes along the way, all while uncovering secrets about his mysterious past.

The series is based on the motion graphic comic by Imaginism Studios — which delivered character and concept designs for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and Men in Black 3— and Studio NX (The Carrot and Rabbit Show, Tree Fu Tom). Animation is provided by Titmouse, Inc. (TMNT Summer Shorts, Breadwinners, Metalocalypse, Turbo FAST). Robe Hoegee (Generator Rex, Teen Titans) serves as executive producer and showrunner.



Niko and the Sword of Light originally premiered on Amazon Video, and ran for 23 episodes (plus one pilot episode) over two seasons between July 20, 2017 - September 6, 2019.

Although an exact U.S. premiere date "The Ghost of Plankton" (259B) has yet to be announced, the all-new spine-chilling episode of Nickelodeon's beloved animated series will premiere on Nickelodeon channels internationally this October, including on:

Nickelodeon Africa on Saturday 19th October 2019 as part of the channel's SpongeBob ScarePants stunt.

"The Ghost of Plankton" will also premiere on YTV in Canada on Friday, October 25 at 4 p.m. (ET/PT) as part of the channel's Best Scarepants Ever stunt.

Although unconfirmed, it is thought that Nickelodeon will (Nick or) Treat fans to a phantasmic sneak-peek during the network's "SpongeBob Appreciation Day!" panel at NYCC 2019.

Nick Lachey, the host of America’s Most Musical Family, has revealed that Nickelodeon USA will premiere the network's brand-new musical competition series on Friday, November 1, 2019!

In an interview with FoodSided about his new partnership with Subway to encourage families to 'adopt' ugly vegetables, Lachey, the front-man of 98 Degrees, dished: "I’m excited about a new show, called America’s Most Musical Family that I’m hosting for Nickelodeon, which premiers November 1st, and I’m still preforming with 98 Degrees. We have a handful of shows still between now and the end of the year and other shows already lined up for next year. So I’m excited to be hopefully in a city near you soon."

Nickelodeon sets the stage with an all-star celebrity lineup for the network’s new music competition show, America’s Most Musical Family. Grammy Award-winning global superstar Ciara, who is an executive producer, digital media sensation David Dobrik and singer-songwriter, record producer and actress Debbie Gibson will serve as series judges alongside host Nick Lachey, as 30 talented families compete for a recording contract with Republic Records and a $250,000 cash prize.

America’s Most Musical Family was first announced in February as part of Nickelodeon’s biggest, most wide-ranging content slate ever. The 12-episode series filmed in Los Angeles during summer 2019 and is scheduled to premiere later this fall on Nickelodeon in the U.S. and YTV in Canada.

Nick & Disney’s non-fiction growth strategies

Looking to tap into co-viewing opportunities on traditional TV and streaming, the kidcos are stacking their slates with family-friendly unscripted content.

Let’s get real. It’s no secret that SVOD services, especially Netflix, continue to lure young audiences away from the big three kids cable broadcasters. In 2018, Disney XD, Nickelodeon and CN’s average combined ratings dropped 29%, according to analyst Nielsen.

Nick and Disney, in particular, remain invested in what they do best—animated comedies and live-action sitcoms and movies. But as of late, both kidsnets are also diversifying into original unscripted content.

The genre, which includes reality TV, competition, game show and documentary formats, has been a bright spot for television over the last decade, while other categories have diminished. According to Nielsen, between 2011 and 2018 the combined viewing share of syndicated TV series, movies and kids programming fell to 36%, from 52%, among viewers ages two and up. Unscripted content, however, rose to 32% last year (from 24% in 2011).

Kids have played a big role in the success of the genre because they latch onto the same primetime shows their parents watch. Now, nearly every successful reality competition TV format for the coveted 18-to-49 demographic has a pint-sized version for children. Shows like Fox’s MasterChef Junior, Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship and ITV’s The Voice Kids have all spawned multiple seasons since launching and are bolstering the overall presence of the brands.

While Nickelodeon had success with unscripted content in the past with ’80s and ’90s competition game shows like Double Dare and Legends of the Hidden Temple (both of which have been revived), its strategy shifted away from non-fiction as animation became more popular worldwide, says Rob Bagshaw, EVP of unscripted content.

But when Brian Robbins took over as president at the end of 2018, he saw the wave of young viewers tuning in to popular unscripted formats for wide audiences and wanted to renew Nick’s investment in the genre, Bagshaw says.

To fully optimize its non-fiction ambitions with cost-efficient reboots that can be made quickly—as well as original content featuring more tweens and diverse families—Nick launched its first official unscripted division in January under the leadership of Bagshaw. A former Bunim/Murray Productions exec, Bagshaw heads up the development and production of unscripted content across all Nick formats and platforms—including reality competition shows and marquee live events like the Kids’ Choice and Sports Awards. He previously worked on unscripted hits including RuPaul’s Drag Race, Top Chef Masters and Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge.

In June, the burgeoning division hired another Bunim/Murray alum, Paul Medford. As VP of current series, Medford is in charge of Nick’s current slate of live-action unscripted shows, including America’s Most Musical Family, The Substitute and Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader. Rounding out the development team is VP of live-action development Mandel Ilagan, and senior director of development Stacey Carr, who recently joined from Endemol Shine. Bagshaw says additional staff will be hired as more shows are greenlit. The unit’s slate consists of about a dozen greenlit, pre-production or production projects.

For its adaptation of Fox hit Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, Bagshaw says it was important to appeal to the widest audience possible, which led to the casting of WWE star John Cena as the show’s host.

“John Cena has huge co-viewing potential,” says Bagshaw. “But to make the show appropriate for Nick, we show him in a new light as a comedian, and pivoted the format to focus on the fifth graders, rather than the adult contestants.”

So far, the strategy is paying off. The revival’s June 10 premiere delivered double-digit increases in viewership with kids (21%) and adults (34%) over the prior four-week time slot averages, according to Nielsen.

As new shows roll out, the division is taking internal and external pitches for concepts that could live on any platform, and is seeking new production partners to collaborate with.

“In researching what our audience is watching and what they want to see, there are three key areas that resonate with our demo: comedy, music and competition,” says Bagshaw.

Nick is also looking for opportunities to develop more factual-driven, long-form stories—including, potentially, hour-long content for YouTube or other digital platforms—but Bagshaw says more development time is required to find the right projects. It also plans to develop factual linear content for 2020 similar to one of the kidsnet’s longest-running series, Nick News, which aired from 1992 to 2015—though no timeline for delivery has been set yet.

“Nick News allowed for serious conversations about pop culture or newsworthy moments. Our audience today is smarter and more aware than ever—we would be doing them a disservice if we didn’t provide opportunities to have those conversations,” says Bagshaw.

Disney, meanwhile, recently named former Marvel, ABC and ESPN Films exec Dan Silver as VP of original unscripted content for Disney+ in the lead up to the SVOD’s November 12 launch.

Unscripted shows headed to the service include Disneynature feature film Dolphin Reef; six x half-hour guide dog show Pick of the Litter; student competition series Shop Class; aspirational program Marvel’s Hero Project; global scavenger hunt series The Maze; and the high school musical-themed Encore.

For its real-world stories, the House of Mouse is looking for inspirational, aspirational, heroic, grounded and feel-good narratives that embody not only Disney, but also its sub-brands, including Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Nat Geo.

As for Disney’s take on formatted competition series, Silver says there is value in them and the sub-genre is healthy, but the company is mindful about how they are produced.

“Sometimes competition can be leveraged for what I would call ‘fabricated drama,’” says Silver. “In non-fiction programming, there’s a tendency to have the issue lead [the plot], and then the narrative and the characters inform the issue. For us, the people we follow lead [the story], and if there are issues that are contained within the narratives, they inform the character. If you know the people, you’re going to care about whatever they’re going through.”

Some Disney+ unscripted shows are also taking a slightly more niche-driven approach to how they target their audiences.

For example, Encore is made for adults because it brings together former castmates of a high school musical and tasks them with recreating their original performance during a reunion. The series will be available for the November 12 launch and is executive produced by Frozen actress Kristen Bell.

“Encore is a proper adult show. But it’s about adults going back to high school. If you’re nine, 15 or 18 and love theater, you’re going to watch the show, too,” says Silver.

According to children’s media consultant Rick Clodfelter, kids want genuine, heartfelt, diverse and relatable content that entertains, which is why many unscripted series and formats for all ages are resonating across platforms. In short, they want to see real people.

“There is unfortunately a lot of turmoil in the world, so inclusive unscripted content is more important than ever,” he says.
The co-viewing opportunity is also going to be a big driver for the genre. According to media and consumer analyst GfK MRI, co-viewing is on the rise, and opportunities exist for both streaming and linear platforms. Its latest research found that 49% of US adults say they are co-viewing more now than they did three years ago, and parents are more likely to be watching with their kids.

As for the type of content adults watch with their children, kids television was the number-one response for co-viewing ahead of movies.

And as more young parents shift to streaming services (the report found that 72% of 18- to 34-year-olds used SVODs as their co-viewing medium of choice), streamers are rushing to fill their video consumption needs at a much quicker pace.

Clodfelter notes that family-friendly, live-action unscripted shows are quicker to make compared to animation. “The turnaround is faster, and they tend to be a little more cost-efficient, so there’s a big financial benefit as well,” he says.

Looking forward, Clodfelter sees bigger unscripted opportunities in the preschool space, pointing to the success of Nickelodeon series Ryan’s Mystery Playdate.

Created and produced by digital media company Pocket.watch, the live-action/animated preschool show stars seven-year-old YouTube star Ryan and his family as they attempt physical challenges and unboxing puzzles to reveal celebrity playdates.

The April premiere drew 5.5 million viewers and was tops among kids ages two to 11 in its 12:30 p.m. time slot across all TV, according to Nickelodeon.

“YouTube caters to what kids want to see in the moment, but how do you take what’s precious about that short-form content and flip it into an 11-minute show?” asks Clodfelter.

“Ryan’s Mystery Playdate manages to honor the original, and extend it to a very different long-form series.”

But even with the demand for more content and influencer opportunities in the unscripted and scripted space, challenges remain—especially for traditional TV channels that target the whole family.

For example, Nielsen reported Universal Kids and Discovery Family saw respective ratings declines of 73% and 46% in 2018. In June, NBCU-owned Universal Kids halted production on originals altogether. It’s not known if any of the net’s previously commissioned unscripted shows, including Top Chef Junior and American Ninja Warrior Junior, will have the option of new seasons after they air as scheduled.

These concerns aren’t enough to deter the growing non-fiction movement, however.

At Nickelodeon, Bagshaw sees the expansion into unscripted shows that kids and families can enjoy together as a big plus for the long-term sustainability of the network.

“One of the reasons we’re focused on co-viewing is so we can keep our audience,” he says. “If our unscripted division has the same success that Nickelodeon has had with its big animation titles, then our audience will stay with us for a long time.”
