Nicktoons UK to Premiere 'SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout' on Friday 12th July 2019

It's SpongeBob SquarePants' 20th anniversary, and to commemorate 20 years of SpongeBob SquarePants, Nicktoons UK & Ireland will premiere the brand-new hour-long SpongeBob Birthday Special, “SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout” on Friday 12th July 2019 at 6:00pm!


It’s SpongeBob’s birthday in “SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout,” an original mixed live-action and animated special which features for the first time the celebrated voice talent behind SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Squidward and Plankton playing live-action doppelgänger versions of the animated characters they voice! In the one-hour special, Bikini Bottom is getting ready for a very special day: SpongeBob's birthday! To mark the occasion, Sandy, helped by the inhabitants of the underwater city, decide to organise a surprise birthday party for SpongeBob. In order to keep the birthday boy away from the preparations, Patrick and SpongeBob go on a crazy trip to the surface world, where they come across a few familiar characters during lunchtime rush at The Trusty Slab restaurant. The special will also feature special guest stars David Hasselhoff (Baywatch, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie), Kel Mitchell (All That, Kenan & Kel, Good Burger), Jack Griffo (The Thundermans) and Daniella Perkins (Knight Squad). Nicktoons will air the special in two parts, airing at 6:00pm and 6:30pm, respectively. (#254-#255)



Donning his famous lifeguard attire, Hasselhoff guests as himself in the special, where he runs into a little trouble in an ocean kayak and on the beach. Hasselhoff also notably played himself in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. His return is a special nod to his original performance for fans around the world.

SpongeBob launched July 17, 1999, and has reigned as the number-one kids’ animated series on TV for the last 17 years, generating a universe of beloved characters, pop culture catchphrases and memes, theatrical releases, consumer products, a Tony award-winning Broadway musical and a global fan base. The “Best Year Ever,” leads up to the Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies theatrical, The SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge, coming 2020!

Update (29/6) - In addition to the special, Nickelodeon and SKY New Zealand are teaming up to launch a SpongeBob SquarePants Pop-Up channel in July 2019! The SpongeBob SquarePants Pop-Up channel will broadcast SpongeBob SquarePants 24 hours a day, seven days a week between Saturday 6th - Sunday 21st July 2019! Fans can tune into SpongeBob SquarePants Pop-Up channel on SKY Channel 302. The channel launches Saturday 6th July 2019 at 6:00am!:

To further celebrate SpongeBob SquarePants' 20th anniversary, Nickelodeon has teamed up with Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef to launch Junior Citizens Of The Reef, a brand-new call-to-action pro-social initiative which aims to raise awareness about the Great Barrier Reef, and what can be done to protect it - a cause very close to SpongeBob's heart.


In the 20 years since SpongeBob first went to air, pollution and extreme changes in temperature have put the reef in more danger than ever. That's why Nickelodeon wants kids to join them to help raise awareness of one of the world's greatest natural assets! Kids can play an active part by signing up to become a Junior Citizen Of The Reef today at nick.com.au/reefsquad. Kids who sign up to become a Junior Citizen Of The Reef will receive a personnel certificate so that they can share and display their official citizen status with their family and friends to encourage them to follow their lead and take action.

SpongeBob SquarePants was created by marine biologist Stephen Hillenburg, who sadly passed away in November 2018 following a battle with ALS. A fitting legacy for Hillenburg would be for his beloved character to help protect the reefs in our ocean.

Nickelodeon Brazil to Commemorate 20th Anniversary of 'SpongeBob SquarePants' with New Special and Game

It's SpongeBob SquarePants' 20th anniversary, and to celebrate, Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) will be hosting a Sponge-Tastic on-air party throughout July to celebrate 20 years of one of the most iconic TV series and characters ever created!


The party kicks off with the launch a Spongeriffic brand-new game made especially for the ultimate SpongeBob SquarePants (Bob Esponja) fans: SpongeMaster!

Beginning Monday 1st July 2019, children can tune into Nickelodeon Brasil everyday at 15h30 and play SpongeMaster live via the free Nickelodeon Play app during back-to-back episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants! In the game, kids need to answer questions about the history of SpongeBob SquarePants and its characters correctly as soon as possible. By answering questions correctly, kids can win and collect points, with the fan with the most points being crowned the winner of the game: the SpongeMaster! The players with the highest amount of points will also have their name appear on screen!


Then, later on in July 2019, Nickelodeon Brasil will premiere the brand-new two-part SpongeBob Birthday Special, “SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout”!

It's SpongeBob SquarePants' 20th anniversary, and to commemorate 20 years of SpongeBob SquarePants, YTV in Canada will be hosting a Sponge-Tastic two-day on-air birthday bash over to celebrate 20 years of one of the most iconic TV series and characters ever created!


YTV is inviting fans to tune in on for two special all-day birthday marathons featuring back-to-back episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants, airing from 7:00 a.m. (ET/PT) over Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14, 2019!

That's not all! Saturday's marathon will include the Canadian premiere of the brand-new two-part SpongeBob Birthday Special, “SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout”, in which SpongeBob and Patrick tour the surface world as the rest of Bikini Bottom prepares for a big birthday blowout surprise party for SpongeBob, airing at 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (ET/PT)!


It’s SpongeBob’s birthday in “SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout,” an original mixed live-action and animated special which features for the first time the celebrated voice talent behind SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Squidward and Plankton - Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Clancy Brown, Carolyn Lawrence, Roger Bumpass and Mr. Lawrence, respectively - playing live-action doppelgänger versions of the animated characters they voice! New Hope Club Join SLIMEFEST UK Line-Up

The band will perform at all shows at The Arena, Blackpool Pleasure Beach alongside hosts Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely and performers Diversity, Max and Harvey, Kira Kosarin, Jess Folley and Road Trip.


London, 28th June 2019 – New Hope Club have joined SLIMEFEST’s resident line up! From 20th - 22nd October at The Arena, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, they will perform across all 6 SLIMEFEST shows over the weekend (1pm and 6pm showings).

Hasbro has unveiled the you company's SDCC 2019 POWER RANGERS RAZOR SCOOTER – MIGHTY MORPHIN GREEN RANGER!


The POWER RANGERS RAZOR SCOOTER - MIGHTY MORPHIN GREEN RANGER has all the power of the Dragonzord on two wheels! This Limited Edition scooter, inspired by the legendary Mighty Morphin Green Ranger, is a Razor original classic style A-Kick Scooter (Est. 2000) made from aircraft grade aluminum in a limited edition green colorway with gold anodized telescoping T-bar, gold power coin foil badge, and grip tape that mimics Tommy Oliver’s boot design.

The POWER RANGERS RAZOR SCOOTER- MIGHTY MOPRHIN GREEN RANGER will be for sale during San Diego Comic-Con 2019 (Booth #3329). Each POWER RANGERS RAZOR SCOOTER - MIGHTY MORPHIN GREEN RANGER will cost $79.99 (Approximate Retail Price).
